(Momentos antes da turbulência épica na volta para o Rio) (Moments before the epic turbulence on the return to Rio)
Ten years had been completed since our last trip together, when we met early in the morning in front of the Si Fu's house , to moments later find the rest of the delegation for Brasilia. Si Hing looked excited, and we began a relaxed conversation awaiting the arrival of Si Fu. We scarcely imagined all the adventures we would experience from that point forward.
(Junto de Si Hing em 2007 momentos antes do aniversário de Si Taai Po) (Next to Si Hing in 2007 just before the birthday of Si Taai Po)
In the trip we did in 2007, we got very close. Despite our age difference, we share some interests beyond Kung Fu, which allow us to have good conversations when we can. On this 2017 trip, this naturally happened from the first moment. Ten years after our last trip together, we are already qualified Masters since 2015, and it would be in Brasilia, that we would receive the certification of the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation.

In the world of Kung Fu, we understand that being ahead is not always the best position. You end up being exposed if you do not know how to do it the ultimate responsibility is yours. In moments of crisis or need to make a decision, I have seen many people if they ignore or simply "crash" because they do not want to take the weight of a possible mistake.
My Si Hing is the oldest member of the Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou and the lack of having someone older than us is very large, so his position is sometimes ungrateful in this respect. We miss someone older, not out of fear of decision making, but out of knowing that someone is taking care of us. When one is the oldest, there is no such person in the same generation. That is the weight of being number 1.

I am the second oldest of our Clan, and so, I have Si Hing as "Si hing" (laughs). I was able on this trip to enjoy the benefits of his words of wisdom. Because thanks to an unexpected event before the trip, through this theme I was able to hear from him important advices and guidance on this issue. It was hours of conversation that I could learn from him on another level again. And this conversation was fundamental to the successful resolution of such an imbroglio.

We stayed with Si Fu in the same room. I made the most of it. We had the opportunity to hear and learn many important things during the stay. In a way, I had a good feeling about this trip, and it turned to reality in a very special way.

Of all that has been lived in these days of high adventures, I must emphasize the resignification of this relationship. These were very unique moments, like the conversation on the flight back to Rio: I was able to know a little more about Si Hing's work as an author, his vision of cinema and scripts, and I was able to share some of my stories never told before. Without a doubt, a "sidequest" of this trip that will be forever remembered.

"If one dies, he dies." - It was with this phrase that the conversation between me, Si Fu and Si Hing Leonardo about "fear" on the flight that took us to Brasilia on the last Friday ended. It all started because Si Hing Leo brought up the subject of the overcoming that I experienced last week while passing the Rio-Niterói bridge. Si Fu did not quite understand what it was, and I explained that I was afraid of heights, and because of the need to cross this 13,290 m and 72m high bridge, I was forced to find ways to relax at those crossings. I could get through it, but I felt uncomfortable with the effort I needed to do it. Somehow, I knew it was not Ving Tsun.

Você aprende a relaxar." Si Fu heard all this and commented: "But Thiago, it's very simple: If the plane, for example, fall, we die."- The three of us laughed and he went on: "The idea that 'if one dies,he dies' is very interesting. You learn to relax." - Si Fu was referring to the fact that in an airplane nothing can be done.

(Again with my Si Fu and Si hing during meeting
in the hotel lobby where we stayed)
Afinal, como cita Maximus , personagem de Russel Crowe em "Gladiador"(Gladiator,2000) : " Death smiles at us all. All a man can do is smile back."
Maybe by a coincidence, our flight back was the worst I've ever done. When I flew next to Si Fu from Paris to Barcelona, it looked like we were standing on a paper-plane in that airplane that looked like an interstate buses in Brazil in the 1970s. The flight between Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro last Sunday however, went through an unbelievable turbulence. The plane was jolting and pounding in the air as if it were hitting the ground, some people's drinks flew across the plane, watering them, and some screamed in terror. The strange feeling of being in a tube in the air with nothing to do is very strange. And looking at my side in the other row, I saw Si Fu. Sitting there, contemplative and looking forward. He had been feeling sick since from the previous night, but even the quieter member of our entourage had put his hand on the front seat in a reflex movement. But not Si Fu. He remained motionless, more than motionless, relaxed. And of everything that happened on that plane that seemed to fall at any moment, nothing was more frightening than the strange calm of Master Julio Camacho. After all, as Maximus points out,
Russell Crowe's character in "Gladiator" (Gladiator, 2000): "Death
smiles at us all. All a man can do is smile back."

The first time I heard Si Fu talk about "take advantage of the emptiness," I was sitting next to him, my Kung Fu sister Paula Gama and another Kung Fu sister at the bakery in Rosas Park in Barra in 2007. This last Kung Fu sister went through a professional and life setback, and Si Fu at that time was supporting her to get on track again. That afternoon, he talked about the importance of that moment in a very optimistic and sincere way. This Kung Fu sis laughed without seeming to believe in the tranquility of Si Fu's speech and looked at Paula as if to say, "I can not believe he's saying this!" - More information: "This moment of emptiness is the more important one, it is in it that we work so that when something begins to happen again we are already in conditions."

In Kung Fu, we believe that you build your ability. So you can start practicing today or anytime. Regardless of age, sex, body structure or any other stereotyping limitation related to Ving Tsun. It turns out that this skill building also refers to our ability to think our own thinking and consequently to experience a significant change in our vision on our life.

(Si Fu with Si gung at MYVT Barra School during his visit in 2017)
I've heard Si Fu telling me that because he as he lives in Rio de Janeiro, he used to go to São Paulo once a week to be with Si Gung and to do his practice. Si Fu said that he often went to Mo Gun even though he had warned that he would, and did not find Si Gung. To make matters worse, someone reported that he had gone to do something seemingly trivial: "Si Fu went to the movies." - Si Fu says that at first he did not deal very well with this, since he ended up coordinating and helping practices of the younger members, his own practice was always in the background or not even happening. "Perhaps Si Gung has noticed my difficulty in dealing with that emptiness," he would have said to me years later. Si Fu reflecting on that period some time later, realized that Si Gung was giving him the same experience of someone who lived next to the Mo Gun in Sao Paulo, not artificializing his process for being from Rio. Something that the Si Taai Gung Moy Yat himself did it for him in the USA

Although I really like my grandfather, his reference to me is that of the handyman. That operational person who could solve everything by himself with his own hands . Already my father, seems always to be in activity, for him that also works very operationally, to be working is to be doing something objectively. Si Fu seems to have repaired these influences on me over the years, so with much patience he has been doing a job with me to help me leave more empty spaces for other people to occupy. He tries very perseveringly, to show me that the a leader is not necessarily operational. "Life can be simple Pereira" he said once.
(Com Si Fu na magnífica Paris em Maio de 2017)
(With Si Fu in the wonderful Paris in May, 2017)
Aquilo me chamou a atenção.
Contrary to what may seem, Si Fu does not sit with me and gives me a class on Chinese logic. My learning with him occurs much more by inspiration from my interpretations of his actions. For example: I once had breakfast together in some cafe, I learned that he was facing a difficult situation and had two days to solve it. I tensed as I listened, and he seemed to be engrossed in resolution with the help of a Kung Fu brother of mine. It turns out that later, he was in the Mo Gun with other people, telling funny stories and laughing. That caught my eye. I asked myself, how much my day would be lost if I were in his place. And more: He, in a matter of minutes, seemed to enjoy the moment as if nothing was happening.
Ele pegou a fruta e comeu.”
"A monk was once walking on the edge of a cliff ..."- Si Fu told me once: "Then he saw that a tiger was chasing him. When he tried to escape, he slipped and fell, and there he was able to catch himself on a very fine branch. But if he climbed back, the tiger would kill him, and if he stayed there, the branch would break and he would die. Then he realized there was a fruit at the end of the branch. He took the fruit and ate it. " Si Fu seems to live in real life the Zen paradox of this monk and tiger story. He often says about financial hardships: "If I have too much, little or no money, you will not notice a difference in me because of that. I do not get excited or sad about it. "

On the other hand, sometimes emptiness occurs unexpectedly, because we do not perceive it happening still in the immanent plane. We may be accustomed to a routine of life, and suddenly it seems to be torn from us. Then we see ourselves in a great emptiness, not knowing what to do. So when we come across this kind of "emptiness," we have an immediate tendency to try to fill it at any cost without respecting the time of things to reconfigure and without letting this new cycle tell us the action to be taken.

“ – Complementou.
That is why Si Fu spoke to me many years ago: "Thiago, as much as someone likes you, if you have a fever, that person will even take care of you, take your temperature, give you the medication, but she will not be able to get the fever for her and get it from you. See: I can rub my arm in yours, but the fever will not leave you for me. You will have to deal with it alone, just like most things in life. "As I got emotional, Si Fu stopped and seemed to wait for a few moments. Then he went on: "So I see a lot more as a matter of alliances. You meet people throughout your life with whom you are making alliances. Some last longer, some less. Some alliances can last a lifetime. But one thing does not change: You are born alone and you die alone. "- After another pause, Si Fu who has no religious bias, quoted Chinese Buddhism:" Do you know Chinese Buddhism? What are the three premises? "- He asked -" The impermanence of things is one of them. "- He said.

Em 2015, me vi numa situação inédita e dificílima.
In 2015, I found myself in an unprecedented and difficult situation. And even though it took me down, it was in that year that projects like "Culture Kung Fu" appeared and that I was titled as Qualified Master. And I had this idea of working on the emptiness. But I found myself struggling to enjoy this impermanence of things, and so I looked exhausted. Today, even in one of the most difficult times of my life, I've never been so confident. I see myself enjoying the small details, the small moments, enjoying things that in the run would be unnoticed. I started to walk more, to sit under a palm tree to make my schedule, when I used to do it on a cold and lifeless table. I started to improve my relationships, and I feel even more radiant. And when you change that key, you also become available for more good things to happen. Not because of magic, but because you get in tune to make it work, not to whine. And maybe, in that moment, you do not even recognize yourself anymore. And maybe, in that moment, you find out once again that you learned Kung Fu.

Essa abordagem jamais me
decepcionou, e mudou minha vida..." - Disse Steve Jobs em seu discurso.
On Sunday mornings, when I used to live next to Si Fu, I would occasionally find him reading the biography of Steve Jobs at a bakery while he drank his coffee. On other occasions, I saw him mentioning Steve Jobs's speech at Stanford. It was only when I read the same biography last year that I felt like watching the speech. In it, Steve Jobs talks about the importance of learning to "Connect the Dots".
Steve Jobs talks about his youth in college, and when he was interested in the typography course. Like this course at the time there was not so much importance in his life, but that ten years later, when the first Mac was released, one of the biggest innovations was to be able to choose different fonts for the text. Something we've done to this day: "... It was the first computer with a beautiful typography, and without the Mac, it would not have multiple fonts, and because Windows was just a copy of the Mac, maybe no computer would offer them ...We must trust something - your instinct, destiny, karma. It did not disappoint me, and it changed my life ... "- said Steve Jobs in his speech.
Somehow, at some point in our life, in some aspect of it, we think of giving up something simply because we can not see those "points" that will be linked sooner or later. Most of the time, we do not even believe they are there, and we try to convince people who believe in our potential, that it really was not meant to be.
When Si Fu got up to speak his opening words, it is not as if he was standing alone. Together with him, were his more than 25 years of hard work in favor of Ving Tsun in Brazil and in the world have also risen. There, one could also see, and even was quoted by him, the thirty years of the work of Si Gung, with the same function. All these efforts culminated, for one night, in the same place. And I, sitting there, sometimes had a little flashback of my life and my relationship with Si Fu. What was a dream or a reality in those memories, was no longer clear.
Moments like this, only become complete, with the presence of special people. And among so many that were present that night, we had the happiness to receive the Leader of the Family Moy Fei Lap, Felipe Soares(photo wearing blue), my Si Suk that I admire much like martial artist. Ricardo Lopes(photo wearing black), co-leader of the Moy Lin Mah Family who always treated me with great affection, and of course, Si Suk Ursula, Leader of Moy Lin Mah Family, my Gaai Siu Yan, but for me only "Si Suk Ursula" would say everything which she represents.
The coordinator of the Ceremony was my Kung Fu brother Claudio Teixeira, who has been having a meteoric projection internationally in the scenario of Ving Tsun. But above all else, a great human being who strives to the full for the Kung Fu Family. The formal presenter (Gaai Siu Yan) of the three disciples, was my Kung Fu brother and long time personal friend, Rodrigo Moreira. We talked a lot about that night, and Rodrigo, who was a kind of biology genius in College, was able to demonstrate his excellence in introducing the new disciples, a skill that both charmed teachers and classmates at the late Gama Filho University.
The first to offer the tea was Jaqueline Tergolina. Jaqueline is a very strong and insightful human being. These are only two qualities I admire in her, but if you asked me the main reason I cared for Jaqueline, it would be her ability to make me smile. Jaqueline carries with her a great ability to bring joy to any environment, and for a shy, serious guy like me, that is very important to have her.
Si Gung recently called Si Fu publicly: "Julio Camacho, the man who believes." "Well, I do not know how much of everything that was happening had already been visualized by Si Fu well before, with his ability to" Connect the dots "not only by him but also by others. But what matters was his kindness in being present at this Ceremony, accepting these three people as his second-generation disciples.
The second to offer tea was Vitor Sá. Vitor to me, is one of the great proofs that somehow, I can see a little of my own personality in each To Dai. For the passionate Vitor, he seems to put this love in everything that does of very intense form. Be in the care with me, with his Kung Fu brothers or with any person or project that needs his determination. And loyalty without doubt, is a point that is very striking in his personality.
(As in my own Baai Si I received a gift from Si Fu and another from Si Gung. I decided, by well, to do the same. For each of the new disciples I gave a symbolic gift.)
Si Fu already gave me some scolding for my craze to correlate people and situations that have nothing to do (laughs), but the third to offer tea, Keith Markus, reminded me a lot of my Kung Fu brother Carlos Antunes. His ability to commit to a "mission" and take it to the end with determination, reminded me a lot of Carlos. Maybe that's why, even without knowing Markus well, from the first contact I liked him. Over time, I met this faithful disciple and I was able to like him for who he really is. Keith, among many potential that presents, undoubtedly one of the most special is to serve as an example of determination for the young. The expression that comes to my mind when I think of him is "Ponta-firme".
Well, I could speak here of the historical importance that this "Baai Si" represents for so many people of the present, past and future, but I prefer to talk about the relationships that have culminated this evening. Many people accompany all this through this page or even in person, only see these punctual moments. The work "In the invisible" is what really counts. Every day, every night, every frustration, every little happiness, every step you take ahead, sometimes light, sometimes hard, but always on. This is what the achievements in the world of Kung Fu are about: working when no one is watching, and only letting the result of this work appear, always "connecting the dots", and one day, you get there. Somehow, you get there. And this, I have been learning from the best: My Si Fu.
My special thanks to all who attended this special evening and those who, even though they could not be present, remained connected with the heart. Thank you very much!
(In 2013, eating pastries with Si Fu in the restaurant of Kung Fu brother Bruno Bernardo. Pasties were one of the specialties of the house.)
In June of this year I was 100 kg, but that was not what made me completely change my eating habits and start an exercise routine. It was actually during a running with Si Fu. We were having breakfast at the Peninsula Condominium on a Sunday morning around 7:30 am, we had an appointment with Fabiano Silva at Mo Gun a little later. When it was near the appointed time, Si Fu and I started walking towards the Mo Gun, it started to rain in the middle of the road, and Si Fu rushed forward calling for me to accompany him running.
(Lunch with Si Fu on the day we made that race on the Peninsula. Interesting to note my tired appearance at the time.)
Aquilo me frustrou profundamente. "
Despite our age difference, however much I ran, I could not reach him! I was really running with everything but I felt heavy, my knee started to ache and I lost my breath. It frustrated me deeply. However, I could only think as I struggled with the air, in Si Fu's words over months to me, every time he saw myself eating junkie food: "It does not make sense Pereira, due to our age difference , my body is healthier than yours. "
(During a period at the end of the last decade, Si Fu was a little overweight, soon after became thin and became a bit sick, when it was not sick, he would get hurt. On one of these occasions, he came to use crutches as we see in the fun photo he took at the time with Si Hing Leonardo Reis. )
It was then that suddenly, every week, every month, I watched him change his diet. He wisely chose everything he put on his plate, occasionally speaking about it: "It's very strange to me when people treat food only as chemical compounds because of the willingness to get in shape.I would rather call meat as 'meat', but knowing what you are eating and how to eat, without a doubt, is important. "
(Thanks to Si Fu, I've been to restaurants and dining in people's homes that I'd never be. In the picture above, I used to eat at McDonald's as well as my Kung Fu brother Phelipe by my side (laughs), we did not understand well the sophisticated lunch at the house of a Kung Fu sis in 2007. By my side is also the Master Diego Guadelupe).
Inspired by seeing the change of Si Fu, I decided to go on a diet. I followed the famous Gracie Diet and it worked really well . I lost wieght in a frightening way and returned to my normal weight . In commenting on Si Fu, he asked me for details and ended by saying, "You're doing the wrong diet ..." He put the food in his mouth and smiled as he chewed, then continued, "You need to do the Si Fu's diet. "- He paused and looked at me, smiling. Shortly afterwards, I could not maintain the discipline of the Gracie diet and regained weight.
(We can eat whatever we want as long as it suits the moment. At the end of the Fourth practices that I coordinated until 2009, we would go out to eat pizza. Later, we decided to eat hot dogs in the most famous tent in Jacarepaguá. The culture was established in such a way that every week someone joined us, including Si Fu, laughs, and even after the end of this practices, once a week we were there)
Vem tudo separado no prato? - Disse ele rindo - "Agora come o seu bacon aí!" - Completou.
Over the course of 18 years, Si Fu showed me how to behave in different restaurant settings. He explained to me that we can understand the culture of a people through their cuisine: "Have you ever noticed how Japanese cuisine is all organized?Everything comes apart on the plate? Chinese cuisine on the other hand may seem messy for ordinary people, but you can appreciate every single taste as well."- Si Fu said once. Already another time seeing me with several pieces of bacon on the pasta dish, he asked: "Pereira, what's it?" - I said to him: "It's bacon, I put it to give a little taste." -Obviously I said it without thinking. Si Fu sounded unhappy with the response and smiled as if he did not believe it. Finally he said something like: "Pereira, when you eat pasta, the taste has to be pasta. If you want to taste bacon, you eat bacon." - I stared at him with my fork in my hand and began to pick the bacon from the plate: "No!" - He said laughing - "Now eat your bacon there!" - Completed.
(This is a very moving photo. I used to love hanging out with Paula and Si Fu. On this day, I tried Temaki for the first time. In fact, I had never heard of it and Si Fu explained to me what it was)
Ele fez a mesma pergunta: "Pereira...Me diz uma coisa... O que é isso aí?" .
Another time, on a breakfast, Si Fu saw me filling a plate with some pancakes with honey. When I looked ahead, he was silent, paralyzed with a smile looking at my plate. He asked the same question: "Pereira ... Tell me something ... What is it?" . Without answering, I answered: "It's to give a little taste!"- As soon as I said I just laughed. So Si Fu called my attention and asked: "Have you stopped to think how much this idea of eating what you like is childish?" - I could not understand at first, but over time I was able to reflect on it.
(At the end of the 2000s, we would meet Si Fu at 5:30 in the Mo Gun on Saturdays and walk to the beach. There, at 6am, we would run for an hour and finish doing
Siu Nim Tau.Those were good times!)
After that race on the Peninsula, I thought it was time to finally start the "Si Fu's Diet". I was not going through radical diet, but use Kung Fu to feed me. Do not treat foods as mere chemical compositions, but understand them to the point of organizing what I would eat each time of the week. To understand that eating "What you like" is very much linked to our own life history. We can refine ourselves and exchange Coca-Cola to a good wine. Also, do not dedicate yourself to getting the best excuse for not exercising, but enjoy this time by choosing a good playlist and start to move even at dawn.
(Already doing "The Si Fu Diet" at the end of the first month results in the change physical and attitude were already visible in comparison to the photos of the trip to Europe.)
So as magic, through the "Si Fu Diet", you not only see yourself losing weight and getting in shape, but somehow, you feel lighter, more willing and of course: Happier.
(I discovered a little spot on the Peninsula lawn that I love to stay to sort out my things, make my schedule and whatever else I could do. On this day in the picture, I was making the Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan calendar for 2018 listening to "Somooth Operator" by Sade. Something I would not do three months ago!)
It's like a glow coming back to you. And then, this new attitude allows you to enjoy the simple moments, the unlikely places and the more spontaneous smiles, that before, you would be "Too tired" to enjoy or live. But in the last three months, when I lost 14 kg and I feel so good, thanks to this diet and exercise routine, nothing was more significant than the last national holiday, in which I skated waering roller-blades about 14 km between my house and the Barra da Tijuca beach without my knee ached.
And for this new freedom, I thank Si Fu.
(risos)
Watch the video below of this unforgettable moment! The music may sound a little tacky (laughs) but it's one of my favorites. (laughs)

(Si Suk André, so dear to everyone, shares his vast knowledge with me in practice in the sands of Barra da Tijuca 13 years ago.)
You know very well that when you take a brush and place it on the canvas, that first stroke you make, there is no turning back. You can erase it, fix it, you can make use of some artifice to make the error imperceptible, after all, there is no one looking, but it does not matter. That first brush stroke will be forever on the canvas and inside you. However, I believe that for a martial artist, it is more difficult than to miss a stroke of brushstroke, or not to have at least taken in the brush in the first place.
Si Suk André Cardoso was responsible for my "Biu Ji" from start to finish. I met him at the Mo Gun when I was in the middle of Cham Kiu, he was someone I loved and was inspired by many times. And to this day it is so. When he arrived in a place, he tried to be kind and talk to everyone present, and that affection was always reciprocated.
(Si Suk André's "secret power" was his charisma. Being with him was sure to smile at some point)
I have already told you about when, at my first formal moment at Biu Ji, he said to me: "Thiago, pay attention: At Biu Ji, you must do what you have to with what you have, whatever you do, when you need it, without excuses and without delay .... "- I opened a smile, I thought it would be more" lively "than Cham Kiu at that time.
(No Restaurante Estrela do Sul no Recreio,
(At Estrela do Sul Restaurant in Recreio, during my Si Fu Julio Camacho's birthday. He was watching our demonstration of "Biu Ji". The shirt and tie I wore was my grandfather's. The pants were also given by him a year earlier)
Talvez , por vezes, eu tenha me esquecido disso.
Years after the afternoons with Si Suk André, in my opinion, "Biu Ji" expresses what you have developed in Siu Nim Tau and Cham Kiu. A good tutor will require you so that you have to make decisions and take responsibility for them without too much time to plan them. You may need to throw your arm away only after putting the body behind you, because perhaps the practice will not give you time to do it differently. Sometimes I forget that. I found myself in day-to-day situations, wanting to make structured moves as if I were in Cham Kiu. And I'm not referring to the year 2002, when I was learning Biu Ji, but years and years later. Si Fu says to me: "You rely very little on the potentials of the situations." -And that costs me a lot. Si Fu appears to be someone who naturally lives well in "crisis situations" or simply, situations that call for an immediate decision. Already Si Suk André seemed to have learned to deal with such situations. And for that, maybe I'd identify with him so much.
(Collective Practice on Sunday mornings for the "crazy ones" from the family. That's why we call these Sunday Bloody Sunday meetings. In the photo, I and Kung Fu Brother Roberto Viana do the "Biu Ji")
No "Biu Ji" nao podemos "travar" o Chi Sau.
In "Biu Ji" we can not "brake" Chi Sau. Someone who knows how to take advantage, can use your heavy arm in his favor and you will be beaten. You also should not in "Biu Ji," get stuck to a model, Si Fu always talks, that someone with an easy-to-read pattern is someone easy to manipulate. Maybe that's why Si Fu once told me something, that I believe that only a "Si Fu" could say to a To Dai and be okay: "Pereira, sometimes you are very dumb." - He said it seriously and frustrated.
I had brought an imbroglio and we were silent looking each other after he said it. Si Fu completed a minute later: "I'm not calling you dumb just for calling. I mean, sometimes you pack into something, an idea, and you can not see what's right in front of you."
Você me vê próximo a duas delas)
(The Mo Gun at that time was like the Dream Team of US basketball in 1992. Some of the greatest legends of Ving Tsun in Rio were the tutors. You see me next to two of them)
Then one day I was saddened by something that had happened, I got half-disheveled with my bike in the Mo Gun, and the energy of Si Suk André when he greeted someone, did not find "echo" in me. He looked at me with his characteristic eyebrows raised behind his rounded glasses, when he was curious about something or in doubt about something, and asked me if everything was okay. It was the year 2005, we were alone in the Mo Gun and he invited me to sit with him in a back room where there were several tables and computers, it was where the administrative area worked.
I told him what had happened, Si Suk André did not want to say what he said next, but he put the following to me: "Yeah Thiago, sometimes we only have one chance, if we lose there is nothing to do."- I can remember it as if it were today. I looked at the floor with my hands on my thighs sitting on the chair and I was silent. Si Suk André finally completed: "I'm sorry Thiagoo, there seems to be no way."
I confess that I was expecting a word of support or motivation, but Si Suk André did what he should do in a practice in the nature of Biu Ji, even though I was already in Mui Fa Jong, which is the fact that it is not our choice striking or not striking. The occupation of the Center Line to the central point of maximum reach is a consequence of the relationship between the two parties in that domain.

Infelizmente, quase sempre fora do timing... Algo tão importante no "Biu Ji"...
Years later, Si Fu asked me if I knew why the verb "learn" had no conjugation in the past in the Chinese language, I answered "no". Si Fu said, "In Chinese logic, you are always learning, there is no idea that you have already learned something completely."
I believe that to this day I am learning everything Si Sok Andre told me. I try to do things without delay, without making excuses. I try to do what is necessary with what little I have, but I do not always succeed. Other times, I wonder if I'm still "as dumb" as Si Fu warned that day, unfortunately I still think I am (laughs). But the most important: Si Suk André's words on that night of 2005. With every opportunity lost, the strike comes without delay. And each of them I remember Si Suk. He is no longer active in the Kung Fu Family, but I keep learning his words every time. Unfortunately, almost always out of timing ... Something so important in "Biu Ji" ...

This is not an article to be sorry. See, often when we speak of art, we can think at first, in the realistic expression. If it's in calligraphy, we think of the "most beautiful." But it was also Sun Zi who said that "seeing a mountain is not a sign of good vision." So even for a guy sometimes fumbling with timing like me, I learned how to be "beaten" when it happens and keep smiling. Because as well as the work that for the misunderstood can not be called art, it is also possible to get good Kung Fu when something goes wrong. But you will have to see with your heart, not with your eyes.
