Lunch with my Master Julio Camacho

I was reading a book and drinking a coffee at a place that was recently introduced to me by Master Felipe Soares. The week would have a very high level of difficulty for me, and I was doing something I heard from Si Fu back in the "Cham Kiu" days, when I was sixteen years old, which he called "transitional moments". Basically, it's how you prepare yourself in the interval between one cycle and the next. Because of that, I needed to choose my activity very carefully on that Sunday morning. I wanted to unwind from the blows of the previous week and catch my breath for the following one. That's why I chose to continue reading the incredible book "Sugata Sanshiro", written by the son of Professor Jigoro Kano's oldest disciple: the novelist Tsuneo Tomita. The book is a novel about the early days of the Kodokan, including before its foundation, when the author's father, Professor Tsunejiro Tomita, was the only disciple of Prof. Kano. The story of Jigoro Kano and his four main disciples always touches my heart, and it was then that, upon hearing about a quick visit from my Si Fu to the city of Rio de Janeiro, I contacted a Kung Fu brother to find out more details and make myself present.

I decided to make myself present because, above all, I believe it's not appropriate for your Si Fu to be in the city and for you not to show up. So, when I entered the restaurant with a Si Dai I met on the way, I saw a large table with many seats reserved and others already occupied by familiar faces, some of whom I hadn't seen for a long time. I sat in one of the seats and waited for Si Fu.
It wasn't long before he entered the room with other disciples. I stood up and was able to hug Vladimir, a dear Kung Fu brother I've known for a long time. Finally, Si Fu saw me and, with a smile, shook my hand and asked about my new irezumi. Thiago Silva then left a chair empty next to Si Fu, who invited me to sit there.
Si Fu was smiling and communicative, and quickly engaged in conversation by asking for reports from some of those present who had been on an immersion trip to his residence last May. Si Fu directed his gaze  to my Kung Fu brother, Antonio, and his fiancée, and explained to them a little of his thinking behind these trips, such as the fact that, according to him, due to the immersion experienced by these people, often someone who attends Mo Gun for a year weekly wouldn't have the same opportunity (including in terms of hours dedicated).
While Si Fu explained to them a bit about the concept of these immersion trips, I tried to pay attention to what he was saying. Still on this subject, I was also surprised by the trips planned for the coming months, including trips to Europe and possibly to China, as well as the possibility of an immersion trip together with the Moy Lin Mah Family next year. Si Fu spoke about everything with his characteristic enthusiasm but also with great seriousness, demonstrating his belief in his work with every word.

Si Fu also shared over lunch a bit about his work routine and some cases he has to deal with as a government agent. He spoke enthusiastically about his eldest daughter, dear Jade's new job. He shared with Antonio about the impressive dimensions of the condominium where he lives, a structure similar to a gated city. He shared some amusing situations about the presence of alligators in the area and made a point of explaining in detail all the projects involving his latest work called "Hybris," already available on AMAZON. Si Fu addressed me on two separate occasions, one of which made me happy. First, Si Fu asked me about my decision to postpone Keith Markus's graduation, which was scheduled for August. I was then able to share with him in a very brief and humble way the logic behind the decision, and he offered to be with my Kung Fu Family on the same date in August. The second moment was when he was talking to Antonio about practice time. He would have asked me, "How long have you been practicing, Pereira?" - I replied that it had been 25 years this year, and he said smilingly, "Twenty-five years..." Antonio and his fianceé smiled and seemed amazed. When lunch ended, some disciples accompanied Si Fu to another commitment, some others left, and I headed alone to my car. When I started the car, I remembered that I hadn't handed over any "Hung Baau" to Si Fu. You know, I reconsidered all the use of the red envelope in the last two years due to all my experience with Si Gung. I clicked my tongue in disapproval at my forgetfulness and turned the key. As I drove, I remembered something Si Fu said about "Hung Baau" in one of those 25 years: "You'll never be able to deliver enough 'Hung Baau' to thanks for everything your Si Fu has done for you." - And I felt grateful because without Si Fu's support, I couldn't be living any of these memorable adventures in the last two years in São Paulo and Brasília with Si Gung, Si Taai, and so many other dignitaries of his generation. So, I lamented once again my forgetfulness and continued my journey.

TWO DAYS W/ MY SI GUNG JULIO CAMACHO by Daniel Eustáquio 13G VT

Article by the Master Thiago Pereira´s disciple, Daniel Eustáquio.

Lately, I have had plenty of opportunities to witness the relationship between my Si Fu and his own Si Gung, Grandmaster Leo Imamura. It serves as inspiration in various ways, always prompting me to reflect on the potential that relationships with other generations beyond one's own (in my case, the 13th) can offer in terms of learning for both parties. I observed this dynamic between my Si Fu and his Si Gung during the first Official Visit of Si Taai Gung Leo to the MYVT Méier school. It was then that I discovered that the following week, my Si Gung, Master Julio Camacho, would be visiting the Kung Fu Family in Rio!
I was immediately excited and happy to once again spend time with my Si Gung and make the most of the brief time I had with him, intending to further understand the person who passed down the system to my Si Fu. His visit to Brazil was primarily to conduct seminars for advanced levels of the Ving Tsun system, but some activities were opened for everyone to participate and reunite with the Clan leader.
So, on Thursday, November 23rd, I set out alone for the legendary BlueSky buildings, a place where I have heard numerous stories from my Si Fu about the day-to-day life of the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family and which has now been reestablished as the headquarters of this Kung Fu Family. This time, I was without my Si Fu, which initially presented some challenges as he is the bridge connecting the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family to me.
Upon arriving at the new headquarters of , I was greeted by my Si Suk Thiago Silva, who opened a big smile when we saw each other, immediately helping me dispel some nervousness. I then had the opportunity to greet Si Gung, whom I hadn't seen in months. I could instantly sense a lot of joy in welcoming everyone there. Despite being tired after a long journey, Si Gung seemed rejuvenated and whole with every moment and action he took.
During the visit's opening, a video exclusively recorded by Si Gung for my Si Fu was played, and watching it together with my 'Kung Fu uncles' was quite special. Witnessing Si Gung's comments on the behind-the-scenes of the recording and the message behind the video was enlightening.
During the comments after the video presentation, it was a moment of extreme importance for harmony. Through Si Gung's words, I could understand his current moment and how he was coordinating practices in that scenario, where there were practitioners with no access to the Ving Tsun system, as well as senior members like my Si Baak Leonardo and my Si Suk Carlos Antunes.
Due to an unforeseen event, Si Gung had to be absent for a significant part of that afternoon, but it did not prevent us from making the most of that rare moment when various Clan members were present and eager to practice! The interaction with my Si Suk (and Si Baak) was rich, both with those I already had some familiarity with and those I met that day. It was a day where I could revisit various practices and milestones of the system with a highly beneficial diversity of "arms," getting to know and strengthen the relationship with everyone through the martial experience. I hope there will be more moments like this among the Clan.
To conclude the day, Si Gung returned to the Mo Gun to hear about everyone's experience that afternoon. As each person shared their thoughts on the day, Si Gung reciprocated by presenting us with various stories about his travels alongside his Si Fu. When it was my turn to speak, I was pleasantly surprised when Si Gung referred to me as his "grandson," which immediately touched me in a very positive way. It demonstrated through his words the lightness that a To Suen's relationship with his Si Gung should have and how the atmosphere was quite light and happy. For me, it was the highlight of that Thursday!

On Saturday, the 25th of November, I accompanied my Si Fu for another day of the visit. On this day, there was a lecture followed by a breakfast and the ceremonial events of the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family. I met my Si Fu on Saturday morning, and together we went to the BlueSky buildings, engaging in pre-event discussions during the commute. Upon arrival, I could see the joy in my Si Fu's face at being back in that space with many stories related to the Kung Fu family. This time, accompanied by my Si Fu, I assisted in the preparations for breakfast and got to know the individuals who would conduct the ceremonies that day.
One of the things I've learned from my Si Fu while attending various seminars with him is the skill of keeping the "ball bouncing," meaning to favor the favorable, not letting the thread unravel. So, during the lecture, Si Gung opened the floor for questions and contributions. Right away, I volunteered to inquire about communal living, focusing on the learning process through this experience and how Si Gung currently perceives it. At the end of it, the same theme was still being discussed, and Si Gung took advantage of one of my questions to guide the entire pre-ceremonial moment, which was extremely important for those primarily entering the MJLO family.
Soon after, the ceremonial events began, featuring admissions to the family, level advancements, and the discipleship ceremony. My Si Baak Gung, Ricardo Queiroz, Kung Fu brother of Si Gung, was an honorable witness. I seized the opportunity, along with everyone present, to hear his words at this unique moment for each person undergoing their ceremonies. Si Baak Gung opened the ceremonial events and started with the admission ceremony, during which four practitioners would join the MJLO family.
I was particularly struck by the diversity of people in that moment and how each person's unique qualities reflected in the way they approached the process. It always reinforces for me the potential that ceremonial events carry through a very unique recognition of each individual with their own moment. Following this, there was the level advancement to the Biu Ji domain, which I also witnessed, observing how Si Gung conducted the moment, always attentive to the person entering (in this case, my Si Suk Lucas), to make it as personalized as possible for him. The last ceremonial act of that morning was the discipleship ceremony for Si Suk Daniel. I also had the opportunity to observe Si Gung's guidance for that moment, considered the most important in the practitioner's journey. It was a significant learning experience to witness all of this alongside my Si Fu, marking the first time I saw my Si Gung conduct this type of ceremony.
Therefore, these two days of substantial learning concluded in a special way. I bid farewell to my Si Suk present and, finally, said goodbye to Si Gung with a smile on my face, eagerly anticipating the next opportunity for us to continue our journey together.

An essay on the latest "Remote Distance Meetings" : "HOW ARE YOU, SI FU?"

Si Fu has the strange habit of deconstructing the thoughts of his To Dai. Not because he wants to, but because as in a "Chi Sau" practice, a tense arm is a "full plate" for the attentive opponent. Si Fu likes to bring to his To Dai, new perspectives that help them to reframe their "fixed", "automatic" or "Cartesian" thinking - "It is important to let yourself be crossed by the thought of the other ..." - He says. Over the years, there was no shortage of opportunities in which Si Fu asked a newcomer, a curiosity about the brazilian protguese language: "Have you noticed that when you pass by someone and ask 'How are you?' , the other person does not respond, you do not mind that he did not respond ... "- Then Si Fu usually laughs as if it were the first time this has occurred to him and adds:" ... And the worst thing: The same person asks you 'How are you?', You don't answer either, the person doesn't mind that you didn't answer, and you both leave and that's it ... "- At that time the audience is already laughing and Si Fu usually tells the story of Si Suk Diego in the elevator with a lady who asked him: "How are you?" - Right after he heard that story.

And speaking of asking if someone is okay, how is Si Fu doing? When was the last time we contacted him just to ask, "Hi, Si Fu. How are you?" - Not to start the main subject (as anyone would do), but to honestly know if he is okay?

Recently, it has been about three times that I go on line with Si Fu already with the energy focused on the topic we are going to deal with and he very calmly says:" Hi Thiago, how are you? ". Sometimes, even then, I don't understand what's going on and Si Fu says, "How are you doin'?" When I don't even notice it, he finally says, "So come on! What's today's topic?"

In the "Remote Distance Meetings", since the quarantine began, I saw Si Fu change his style several times in the conduct of this process. However, he has done something curious: Usually when we go online sooner or we are waiting for someone else to connect. He asks each one, "How are you?" . Depending on what the person responds to, he makes some amusing comment, smiles and everyone smiles with him. Sometimes it seems that Si Fu lives inside the "Google Meeting", because none of those present asks back: "What about you, Si Fu? How are you" - And that includes me. I still need to work on my sensitivity to these things.
Si Fu sometimes shows up eating soup, eating something, or drinking something. There is no lack of respect for those present when he does this. He signals that he is going to eat and jokes: "Today I'm eating shrimp! Is anyone served?" or "Go ahead and talk. In the meantime I'm going to have my soup." - Everyone laughs, but I wonder how Si Fu is doing, what his schedule is like. Because his energy is so great, he always seems to be full and full of vitality. sometimes I complain to him: "Si Fu, if you seem to be doing well, people will not understand the situation ..." - He replies with an "educational sarcasm": "Sorry if I'm not dramatic, Thiago, I'm going strive about this topic. "
In our last "Remote Meeting" on Wednesday night, we had the presence of our Si Suk Inês Braconnot. Si Fu took the time to welcome her, not only introducing her to those who did not know her, and giving the floor to her to introduce herself, but creating an atmosphere so pleasant that she could naturally feel welcome to return . This endless willingness of Si Fu to do his best for the Family, can make the most unwary forget about a basic thing that we do even with strangers in our daily lives: That is the simple act of asking: "Hi, Si Fu. How are you? "

In some moments when I remembered that Si Fu was about to move to the USA, I wondered how our contact would be from there. However, thanks to quarantine, we have had the opportunity to speak with tools like SKYPE, for an hour, sometimes even more than that. On topics that I usually take and that I lack some level of clarification.

About these fragments of memory of these meetings, I will call that "Si Fu Talks". Always sharing a little of what we talked about, as was the case with our remote meeting yesterday, in which Si Fu talked about "Symbols". In particular, the  Moy Jo Lei Ou Family symbol and Moy Fat Lei's one.

About "Symbols", Si Fu (PHOTO) commented that this is one of the three types of possible "sign", the second being the richest of the three: "A symbol does not carry a resemblance to its meaning" - he said then he continued - "And it is precisely because it has no resemblance to its 'meaning', that it is so rich. It has no direct relationship with what it represents"
Si Fu commented on something I didn't know: According to him, the word "Family" itself, is a symbol, as it does not represent what in fact relationships within a family mean. For this reason, he says that we value symbolic processes so much - "... because it opens up the possibility of putting what you want to do in there ..."

Many people know the symbol of the  Moy Yat Kung Fu Family, which is also the symbol of our Lineage. We transliterate this since the 2000s as "Mui Fa" (Formerly transliterated as "Moy Fah"). Regardless of transliteration, we translate it as "Plum blossom".
When the Official Transliteration of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence was developed, according to a conversation with Si Gung by MSN in the same decade, he would have told me that some transliterations would have been preserved, since they were already very known, even if with another spelling, we approached more of its sound(For brazilian-portuguese speakers). Thus, terms that were previously transliterated as "Moy Fah Jong", became "Mui Fa Jong" or as previously said, "Moy Fah" became "Mui Fa". However, this was not the case for "Moy Yat". The name of our Patriarch, had its transliteration maintained.
The ideogram "梅" (Moy) is the "Family Name" of Patriarch Moy Yat, but this same ideogram means "Plum". So, when looking at the flower icon, which is also the national flower of China. You have what Si Fu called, in another opportunity "Visual pun" between the name of the flower and the name of Si Taai Gung. And to complete, in its center we see the archaic version of the ideogram "Yat" (逸). So, when you look at this symbol, you read "Moy Yat".

The Moy Jo Lei Ou Family symbol (Photo) is something very beautiful. - "I could give a lecture of more than three hours about this symbol" - Said Si Fu excitedly. According to him, in many ways it symbolizes our Family with refinement, minimalism and allows us to interpret the thinking of Si Fu who always seeks "integration".
Si Fu, called my attention to the fact that each petal has its limits respected. They integrate, support and are supported, they enter each other but do not mix. Their identities are not lost in this integration process.
(Si Fu when commenting on integration processes that are so important to him)

It was then that one Saturday morning last year, I received a strange message from Si Fu early in the morning: "How important is the Golden Harvest logo for you?" - I was already having breakfast with my disciple Matheus Alves, and whenever a message from Si Fu arrives, I stop everything and prioritize. I read the question  againwithout understanding. I never imagined that Si Fu remembered what "Golden Harvest" was (Laughter) He is not a fan.
I replied then that the famous Chinese film producer, profoundly marked my teenage years when I visited all Rocha Miranda wild neighborhood(Where I used to live) Video-stores, looking for old Hong Kong films. Then, a few minutes later, the following gift from Si Fu arrived on my whatsapp: A personalized symbol for my Family without my asking:

The Moy Fat Lei Family symbol has an "F" and an "L" meeting in opposition - "You usually create an opposition at first, but then you are one of the ones who adheres the most" - Si Fu explained about the letters confronting each other. In addition, two trigrams of the I Ching are present in this symbol that speak more about my nature. The red circle has a double interpretation: Being one of the petals of the  Moy Jo Lei Ou Family Symbol (who is also a clan) and a reference to my interest in Japanese culture throughout my life.

It was very exciting to see the reference to the Golden Harvest logo (PHOTO) that marked me as an opening vignette for the many films I watched between 1998 and 2000.
Si Fu said: "The logo of our institution is undifferentiated, it does not carry any symbol of yourFamily on it." - He smiles and adds - "... So I gave you the best I could: A symbol for your Family. So if I had to hang something on the entrance, on your door ... I would hang your Family symbol ... "

In closing, in the second half of 2005, I had the opportunity to be chosen as what we call "Gai Siu Yan" (Introducer) of Thiago Wasserman (PHOTO). From the moment that Thiago Wasserman and later in the same year Phelipe Pita, they chose me as Gai Siu Yan and, therefore, requested me. My journey as a practitioner of Ving Tsun was no longer so selfish and focused on me alone.
That night with Wasserman, to introduce him, I held a personalized Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence folder in my hands. I've loved those folders since I saw them.

Fourteen years later, the new disciples of my Family's 5th Discipleship Ceremony. They decided to make a folder with the same concept as that of 2005, but this time with the symbol of our Family made by Si Fu (PHOTO).
These little events are profoundly remarkable for me. After all, standing next to Wasserman in 2005, I didn't even have a "Kung Fu Name", fourteen years later there were the folders with the symbol and colors of the Kung Fu Family that I lead and that carry my Kung Fu Name.
This article talks a little about  the magic of Kung Fu Life.

Brazil´s Father´s Day: A Tribute to Grandmaster Leo

There is a term we use in the Chinese martial circles to address that person responsible for pass down a legacy to us and guiding us through our path, being the bridge between us and the art of which he is the legatory. This term is "Si Fu" (師父).
Many people translate Si Fu (師父) as "Master". In fact, by the limitations of our Western languages, to contemplate the very rich Chinese language composed of ideograms. There is no word or phrase that ultimately reaches what the term "Si Fu" (師父) reaches.
One of the ideograms that make up this term is that of "Father" (Fu 父). You may then notice that this "Father" (父) ideogram represents something like a person holding two arms up and open, as if defending someone or something.
(Si Gung traz Si Taai Gung Moy Yat ao Brasil em 1990 pela 1º vez)
(Si Gung brings Si Taai Gung Moy Yat to Brazil in 1990 for the first time)

Brazil is a South American country that in the last thirty years has faced periods of great recession with extremely high levels of inflation. That is why 1 Real (our currency) is worth only 25 cents of American Dollar. And for all that we live and face as a third world country, certain dreams or professional goals are simply unthinkable or not so well accepted socially.
And in an almost completely unfavorable scenario, my Si Gung Leo Imamura accomplished the almost cinematic feat of maintaining a constant practice and coexistence in Kung fu Life with his mentor Si Taai Gung Moy Yat in the United States, even living in Brazil in the middle of the decade of ' 80
(Si Gung with Si Fu at the Jacarepaguá School grand openning in 1995)

Si gung brought to the Brazilian martial arts scene a professionalism never before thought. Even the very possibility of living only by martial arts, when many had this activity only as a source of extra money and uncommitted , had been unprecedented.
Perhaps that is why, among other people touched by his example in those times of high adventures, was my Si Fu Julio Camacho (photo above). Not out of desire or simple vocation, but out of responsibility and commitment to the man who had been teaching him to defend his personal values. He assumes responsibility for opening the first Moy Yat Ving Tsun School in the West Zone of Rio in 1995 (PHOTO above).
(Abertura da Mesa Ancestral no Núcleo Barra em 2012)
(Opening of Ancestral Table at Barra School in 2012)

Alguns lhe aconselharam a fechar as portas do Mo Gun.

Years later, when my Si Fu had to make a major adjustment in his life to keep moving on. Some advised him to close Mo Gun's doors. This Mo Gun at Barra da Tijuca (PHOTO above) was the deployment of so many others since that one from 1995. His words were firm during a Friday lunch at Barra World Mall: "Closing the Mo Gun is out of the question. I have a commitment to my Si Fu. " - This talk of Si Fu marked me deeply, because when I heard it, the words referred me to a phrase of Si Gung himself: "My parents taught me my values, but it was my Si Fu who taught me to defend them."-  It seemed to me that Si Fu had also learned this lesson at that time.

Still during this challenging period, while seeking guidance from Si Gung (PHOTO Right) on what kind of path he could take, Si Fu (Photo left) heard from his mentor: "Julio, focus on surviving."

(Si Gung e Si Taai Po Helen. China, 2009)
(Si Gung and Si Taai Po Helen. China, 2009)

Ele me pegou olhando fixamente e perguntou brincando:" Que foi? Gostou do meu casaco?" - Ele me abraçou e eu disse que sim. Ele riu e me deu três tapas fortes nas costas e me abraçou lateralmente me puxando para perto de si e rindo.

But the "Si Fu-To Dai" relationship is not just about difficult times on one side. Once I was looking at the Puma jacket that Si Gung was wearing. He caught me staring and asked jokingly, "What's up? Did you like my jacket?" - He hugged me and I said yes. He added: "Did you know your Si Fu gave it to me? We were in Hong Kong and he was going to buy one for him and one for me. I don't know if the money wasn't enough and he decided to buy just one for me. I told him not needed but he insisted. Your Si Fu is cool isn't he? "-  I shook my head positively and he concluded with another question: "And have you ever given your Si Fu some nice jacket?" - I stared unanswered. He laughed and gave me three hard slaps on my back and hugged me sideways pulling me close and laughing.
(Si Fu e Si Gung em demonstração em 1997)
(Si Fu and Si gung during a demo in 1997)

- Disse-me Si Fu próximo a inauguração do Núcleo Méier.

The Si Gung we know today is a completely different person. When I met him, he was always serious. I just saw him smiling with disciples from his nearest circle. Si Fu was one of them. And I listened here and there to the stories of the great load of activities at the Julio Verne Headquartes School in the 1990s and early 2000s. Si Fu was always there at all these times, following Si Gung's example: "For many years Pereira, my signature was to be the first to arrive at an event and the last to leave. I wanted my school members to look at me and see a pillar on which they could lean. " - Si Fu told me near the opening of the MYVT Meier School
Over the years, Si Gung began to conduct his activities much more lightly. His own expression has changed and today he smiles for whatever reason. When I talked to Si Suk Rodrigo Giarola, Manager of the Moy Yat Institute recently, he said it wasn't quite like that (Laughter). Anyway, I could see my own Si Fu tuning in with this new moment of his mentor, culminating in one of the phrases he says most to me: "Pereira, life can be easy."
(1º viagem internacional de Si Fu com Si Gung e Si Taai Vanise. Argentina,1997)
(1st international trip of Si Fu with Si Gung and Si Taai Vanise. Argentina, 1997)

Speaking of "signatures", one of Si Fu's most recognized signatures in his career, was the fact that he was present for a long time in all of Si Gung's international travels accompanying him. And to this day, he participates in important trips or when his presence is required.
I remember sitting with senior members of the Moy Yat Sang Family in Si Gung's room at the former Disciple House in June 2016.
A meeting was taking place with the Masters of our institution, and my Si Fu was present. Si Gung commented that he needed someone, "Would be better two people" (he said), to accompany him to Canada for an event that would take place there.
It took three seconds of silence for all present before Si Fu said, "I will go with you, Si Fu." - The silence remained and no one else set out to go.
That scene was very striking to me, because the deeper the relationship is, the more challenging is to zeal for your Si Fu. And my Si Fu gave me a great example that afternoon. Certainly inspired by the example of his own Si Fu, my Si Gung, who never gave up to respond to a call from Si Taai Gung Moy Yat.
(Si Fu com os filhos de Si Gung)
(Si Fu with Si Gung´s kids)

The relationship is close when To Dai becomes bonded not only with his Si Fu but with members of his own family. Regarding children, Si Gung would have once told Si Fu that he could consider himself a good father when he was ready in case his daughter died. Si Fu told this story laughing, saying that until today he was not and that hardly one day would be. But as a good disciple commented that he understood what Si gung meant: Si Fu explained that the logic was exactly the affectionate relationship a father (or mother) has with a child, it prevents children from experiencing certain experiences because of their fears. - "... Nothing could happen to your child, but since you are afraid of the worst happening, you neutralize his experience ..."
(Si Fu receives the symbols of legitimacy when he was qualified as Master)

Alguém aparecia e me dizia: 'O Si Fu foi no cinema'. Eu ficava pensando o que aquilo queria dizer. De repente aparecia alguém do antigo 'Curso Introdutório' e eu ia lá dar a sessão.

Then, in March 2003, Si Fu was titled "Qualified Class Master" by Si Gung and Si Taai. Long before this happened, Si Fu experienced moments of questioning during his career. He would have said that to continue practicing once a week in Sao Paulo was not only expensive, but also needed to do an entire organization to leave the Jacarepaguá School for a day, and his daughter Jade who was very small. Also, he had to go by bus because the money was short. - "There were times when I called,  Si Fu and I would say that I was going, asked about his schedule and when I got there there was no one. Then someone would appear and said to me: 'Si Fu went to the cinema'. I kept thinking what that meant. Suddenly someone came to some 'Introductory Course' class and I would coordenate this class. So, I used to leave Rio to practice and ended up teaching an Introductory Course session. "
Comentei no início do artigo, que este ideograma de "Pai" (父) do termo "Si Fu"(師父).

I commented at the beginning of the article that this "Father" (父) ideogram of the term "Si Fu" (師父). It symbolizes someone protecting something or someone. But if we think harder, we can understand that often a "Si Fu" (師父) will need to protect his disciple from his own influence. Like when Si Gung told Si Fu about when he might consider himself a good father, regardless of his willingness to protect his daughter. And I believe that Si Fu has taken the same logic when dealing with  someone from the Family that is leaving as close as possible: "One needs to feel free to go, just so that one can return at a later time more fully. "
- "O Si Gung..."

However, at other times, a "Si Fu" (師父) will need to protect the disciple from himself. This is because the disciple will try to manipulate the relationship, even unconsciously. An attentive "Si Fu" (師父) will not allow this to happen. - "Si Gung ..." - Si Fu told me about Si Gung - "... He was actually giving me the same opportunity that Si Taai Gung Moy Yat gave him: Not to treat me different just because I lived in another State. This is one of the greatest gifts that a Si Fu can give to To Dai ... "- Si Fu concluded about his trips to Sao Paulo when he arrived there and could not find Si Gung.
(The day when I was qualified as Master with Si Fu and Si Gung)

Once I was driving with Si Fu at the end of another day in front of the Stadium Steak House on Avenida das Americas, and he said, "Antunes brought me here."-  Si Fu then asked what my experience had been like that day. I stressed the positives of teaching  and he said, "Now you have discovered the secret of Moy Yat Ving Tsun: Direct Interpersonal Mobilization." - Si Fu has spent a few minutes saying things like the fact that the process of passing down the Ving Tsun System to someone else,  allows us to learn twice as much. These were words spoken by the same Si Fu of the trips to Sao Paulo when he needed to coordinate the sessions of the old Introductory Course. Showing that his experience brought him a new awareness that could even be shared with me.
(Inaugurando o "Jiu Paai" da minha Família Kung Fu com Si Fu e Si gung)
(Inaugurating my Family´s Jiu Paai with Si Fu and Si Gung)

So, I subscribe below all these stories I have heard. For indeed, a "Si Fu" (師父) also protects the legacy he received, provides his disciple Kung Fu Life experiences so that he knows how to do that too, so that one day he can do with his future disciple. . Just like Si Fu does to me. So, as Si Gung says, "Kung Fu cannot be taught, only learned."
