2 years as a "Si Fu" : A cup of Vodka and two slaps on the face.

(Com meu Si Hing e sua esposa, e com Si Fu. Esta foi a noite em
que eu e meu Si Hing fomos titulados "Mestres")

(With my Si Hing and his wife, and with Si Fu. This was the night in
that I and my Si Hing were titled "Masters")

(risos).

Well, few people know about how much I like to know about outer space, and the whole history of astronautics, or how I prefer: Cosmonautics.

Well, once hearing a program on the "space race" between USA and USSR, the members talked about the difference in training between American and Russian pilots at that time. One of the participants said with a playful laugh: "... The Russian training consisted of putting Yuri Gagarin sitting on a bench that would rotate through various levels of G force. Before that,  they would give him a sip of vodka and two tapas in the face ... This was the training of the Russian cosmonauts ... "(laughs).

Si Gung somehow managed to bring to all his descendants the deep feeling of commitment to the career of "Si Fu". It has always been possible to see it in Si Fu and feel it inside me. Perhaps, for those who are not part of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence, or even for those who are part of it, but who are still at the beginning of their journey, think: "Hey, what does it take to become a Si Fu?" .
I clearly remember going through the Via Parque Mall with Si Fu by car, and hearing from him: "The difference between a Si Fu and a father, is that a father learns while raising his son. A Si Fu, was prepared for it."

Over the years, I have always followed Si Fu's path, sure of his leadership. Even in the moments when he took some eccentric attitude to the status quo, I remembered that because of him, somehow that made sense. Maybe it was me who did not understand.
I have heard many complaints from my Kung Fu brothers about some Si Fu decisions, I have always relieved them all, because however much some of them touched me in some way, my loyalty has always been very clear. When something came to me that I could not undo easily, I would take it to Si Fu. Not to ask for explanations, but for him to act with regard to that member of the Family, and who knows how to undo the probable misunderstanding.

I once questioned Si Fu about a practitioner who had been promoted to "Biu Ji": "Si Fu, I do not agree with that! She has no condition of accessing Biu Ji!" . Thiago Silva was in the car, and while Si Fu gave him a ride his mother-in-law's house, he explained his decision in a way that amazed me how deeply he understood the Kung Fu Family and the Ving Tsun System. Years later, I found myself making the same decision, under confused looks, many times from the very person who was receiving access to either the Kung Fu Family or a new Domain in the System. And I was smiling inside.

Sometimes I come to think that the career of a "Si Fu", is in a certain way, something like to come across various versions of the "To Dai" that you have been over the years. As if you were attracting the best and most confusing versions of the "To Dai" that you were and still are. Like magic, everything you've done for your Si Fu comes back to you. Well, that's up to page 2, because the very fright you get when a To Dai takes an attitude that makes you feel deeply hurt on a Tuesday afternoon either. You stop, reflect for a few seconds, and looking inside your  heart, you quickly discover that the hurt is not with the person itself, but with a phrase that forms as a voice of the disciple who lives inside you: "I would never do that with my Si Fu. ".

antes de sua partida para Russia em 2009)
(With Si Fu and other members of the Grand Clan Moy Yat Sang, minutes
before his departure for Russia in 2009)

Si Fu once told me that the moment we are transmitting the art to someone, is when we actually learn about the technique. This relationship "Si Fu-To Dai" is so intense, involving affection, and according to Si Fu himself, when there is affection, there is an expectation, and if there is an expectation. soon there will be frustration. On both sides. And I could live something that Si Fu said from the bottom of his heart in an opportunity: "The worst of all Pereira, is when the person is hurt with you and does not give you the chance to know why." - And after you've taken a beating from all those feelings, you put the key in the door of the Mo Gun, fill the chest with courage, greet the ancestors and have the pleasant surprise of another To Dai who comes, smiling, well, willing and totally oblivious to everything that happened minutes before. And when you least expect it, you're smiling along with him. And then you might think, "Hey, was not I sad a minute ago?" - Then you see yourself with a new power: An inexplicable ability to reinvigorate, to be willing to receive the next blow, to live the next adventure, very quickly.
(Observed by my Si Hing, during my speech at the end of dinner
on Master´s Degree Qualification night)

When I began to take the first steps on this journey as "Si Fu", I began to worry more about how and what I spoke, how I dressed, what I read, what I watch, etc ... Not for me, but because I understood that I was representing something far beyond my person. However, I quickly realized that it is simply impossible to try to control all the variables, because  your best intention, it will be the most cruel blow that a "To Dai" can receive if he receives it in the wrong way.
That is why, with each and every invisible challenge, I realize in all sincerity, the words of Si Fu, that the "struggle" I always sought was nothing more than the so-called "Little War". And the internal struggle, the one we deal with ourselves, that yes, is the "Great War." And this is the war to be won, the one that will make you no longer have to split your life into "Kung Fu" and "No-Kung Fu," for whatever you say will be Kung Fu. And it is this ability, that of being a better man, than you ever dreamed of being, that will take you to the highest level of your art.
(The hug in Si Fu on his 2016 birthday)

E ainda assim, será completamente irrelevante (risos).

But if you really want to know how to walk this journey, well ... I have no idea ... But not to let you down. Here we go: Choose an excellent Si Fu like mine, get ready from the bottom fo your heart, be very lucky, and if you think you should ... Sit down, take a sip of vodka and ask someone to give you two slaps in the face. .. Because whoever that person is, it will be the most  that person can do for you when this rocket actually takes off ... And yet, it will be completely irrelevant (laughs).

(Photo: My father holds me at my grandmother's house in Rocha Miranda neighborhood, circa 1983)

Life passes quickly, and all we have left are fragments of memory from different eras of our own history. Different arches, of adventures that we live. Adventures that ended well, adventures that did not have such a happy ending. And the question: "Did they really end?"

I can still remember clearly, sitting with my father in front of me at the table of dear Aunt Geni's house in Rocha Miranda. It was late 1997, I was insisting for 2 full years so that I could go back to studying in the Salesian school of that neighborhood. That was because, things had not worked very well in the new neighborhood that I was living. Being beaten at school every day had become normal, and I had reached my limit, so little, I told this to someone at the time. And without knowing the reason for my insistence, my father would have said: "... Look, I will put you back in the Salesian school, but you will regret ...". - Well, there was no time to regret it in 1998. Although my name was on the call list, I was re-registered again at the same school where I suffered the so-called "Bullying"

Deep down, all I wanted was to feel relieved. She did not want to have to deal with everything that happened at that school. When I was enrolled again in the same place, all that remained was to survive. And so it was. Survived long enough, for a year later to meet my Si Fu, Mr. Julio Camacho. The man who would change my life forever. He no longer had to be afraid, and if for some reason he felt he knew he would never be alone again.

After 18 uninterrupted years alongside my Si Fu, I was given the possibility of receiving the international title of Master of International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation. And see: It was close! If my father had actually enrolled in the Salesian at Rocha Miranda, those problems would have ceased, I was relief in 1997 in the comfort zone, I would never would have known Si Fu.

Sometimes I hear from a newbie or from a stundet("To Dai"): "I'm a little nervous." - This is a feeling that was no longer so familiar to me in the ceremonial processes of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. I had already participated in almost each of them, and helped organize so many others. However, when they called my name to go up to the stage and receive the certificate that summer night in Brasilia. I felt my legs weaken, my hands tremble and when I got up, I felt everything spin: "Am I nervous?" - That's what I thought.

I took each step very carefully to the stage. I was so nervous that I was afraid to stumble or fall when I climbed the steps. Inside, I was finding that even funny. I stopped in front of Si Taai Po, she seemed relaxed and welcomed me with a smile. I was very tense, I believe my body could creak like an old door with every movement. And from above, time seemed to stop. I was never in search of personal glory, but at that moment I opened a smile looking Si Fu in the background of the room, and I was grateful that he had not let me give up in several moments that I tried to do it.
(Hugging Si Fu after doing "Baai Si" in May 2007)

This Ceremonial Act aimed at the public delivery of this certification, but as a potential carrier, it made me able to accomplish all of what I have here, less a lot of things I wrote, a lot of things I did not write, but one lot of things you think , and little of what you thought it was.
But more important than the fact that these lines are real or the result of an agreed dream is the understanding that the quest for relief is only an illusion. No sense of momentary relief replaces getting to the end of the battle. Having this end, whatever the outcome is. Because deep down you will know, "I fought to the end."

Redemption! How Si Fu put me back on track for 2018.

So Si Fu spoke to Vitor, what his sincere opinion was and he said Vitor was not ready to take the lead yet. Vitor showed his desire to compose the project and also said that he thought he needed preparation. He commented that he understood better the difference between the investor or owner of the business, the Director of a school and the Leader of a Kung Fu Family.. On leaving, Si Fu went upstairs to the Mo Gun and returned home with Vitor. He still seems to be digesting everything that was said, including by him, so I could not, hear much at that moment ...
(Foto oficial do aniversário de Si Fu de 2017)
(Official photo of Si Fu's birthday of 2017)

No  aniversário do Si Fu do último ano  algo parecia estar acontecendo...

At Si Fu's birthday last year  underneath it all, something seemed to be happening ... And as if ... A key had turned, I somehow lost track of Si Fu and stumbled after ... .

I saw this photo on Inez Viegas's cell phone, To Dai from my Si Suk Ursula Lima, and I lost my speech for two seconds or less. I had not seen her take this picture, and then I could look at it, and see a literal picture of the lack of harmony in those two months. I had just received my international qualified master certification, was with Si Fu and the others, but seemed lost in my own thoughts ...
(Photo of the closing of the year 2017 of Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou.
One of my worst moments in the Family in 19 years)

It seemed that the lack of harmony increased and increased more and more, because I tried to solve something and appeared another thing and another ... And so, I saw me falling behind in relation to the entire Kung Fu Family. I could not concentrate on the place where Si Fu was targeting his energies ...

(Conversation about harmony with Si Fu and Iuri at dawn in Barra da Tijuca)

E então , a mágica começou a acontecer...

So it took 7 conversations with Si Fu so that I could get back on the "trail". The first one was when I picked Si Fu at the airport with Iuri coming back from Sao Paulo. They had spent the day recording Si gung, with the help of Si Suk Washington Fonseca, talking about the 36 themes that were used in the Alignment Seminar of the Fundamental Program of our Clan on January 27 and 28, 2018.
For the first time, as if Iuri was not even in the car from a certain moment, Si Fu spoke openly about how worried he was about me, about my career, and about everything else. He talked about this new proposal, this new moment that was coming up and that I was not participating as he knew I could participate.- "You do not know how much I'm slowing down so you do not fall behind." - He said. "You always say you remembered me."- he said- "It's been a while since you've said that, do you realize?" That means something,"-  he finally said.
However, it took many more conversations, for the key to finally turn again. And then, the magic began to happen ...
(Excited afternoon coffee with the To Dai Pedro Pavioti and Vitor Sá in Méier)

And then, all of a sudden, I felt myself coming back to being in tune with Si Fu. The "hits " with the iron seats continue one after another on my back like an endless "Monday Night Raw", but something was different inside and then everything around me began to change as well. I found myself again after so much time with dear To Dai Pedro Pavioti that he returned to practice.
And then in the sequence, Pedro Freire and Rodrigo Caputo, two of the oldest members of the Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou and the history of my career in Méier, also appeared after a long time. And all that good energy that you put into relationships with people over the years comes back to you in such moments. However, there was still one last talk with Si Fu ...
(Record of the second visit of Si Fu to the Méier School in 2011)

It was a Tuesday morning and when I met Si Fu, I said that I needed help to make some decisions as to which path to follow in relation to a new cycle of my career. This cycle, I was stucked to begin with and I postponed its beginning, and there it was no longer possible.
The conversation lasted well over an hour. And at a certain point, I presented a possibility to Si Fu and to my surprise, he was already thinking of it: "I do not believe in these things of thought transmission. But it is impressive, I thought of some possibilities and exactly your name in this one  went through my head too. "-  Talking to Si Fu there at the time, we were talking about a seemingly unthinkable project, and maybe it was just a few days before, but it was as if I felt my heart again on fire so much that I knew things would fit together somehow for everything to happen.
But for such a project to go ahead, we needed a third person ... But, it could not be any

(Breakfast with Si Fu and Vitor in Barra da Tijuca in January 2018)

Two days later, I got in Vitor's car. We had arranged a week before to have coffee together, and it was Si Fu himself who suggested we do all three together. Well, I met Vitor one hour before the scheduled time and we had time to talk.
A few days ago Si Fu had advised me to pay more attention to people, not so passionately, because our dreams are ours, not theirs. And so was the conversation with Vitor, and seconds before Si Fu appeared at the porch of his building, it was Vitor himself who suggested his name by composing the project.
Si Fu punctuated a series of things for Vitor during breakfast to clarify his vision of a number of things about our institution, profession, and leadership of a Kung Fu Family.
So Si Fu told Vitor that his honest opinion was that he was not ready yet. Vitor showed his desire to compose the project and also said that he thought he needed preparation. He commented that he understood better the difference between the investor or owner of the business, the Director of a School and the Leader of a Kung Fu Family. As we left, Si Fu went upstairs to the Mo Gun and I returned home with Vitor. He still seemed to be digesting everything that was said, including by him, so I could not hear much at that moment ...
(Beginning the Meier School Management meetings with Vitor Sá)

Here begins an important milestone that is the formalization of the life member of Thirteenth Generation of the Moy Yat Lineage, Vitor Sa, as Vice Director of the Meier School. Over the years, I counted on the unprecedented assistance of André Almeida, who took care of this School so hard at my side that he was invited to be Director of the Barra School. And the help of Clayton Meireles, who thanks to his work, allowed me to exercise only my role in safeguarding of  the Ving Tsun System, thus releasing me from the administrative side. Fábio Sa and Rodrigo Moreira, as well as others, played an important role in the transmission of this art to me at Meier School. Later, my dear To Dai Caroline Archanjo, for a brief but decisive period, paved the way for this month of January, for the first time, the Meier School could have a Director and Vice Director of the same Kung Fu Family spontaneously. Obviously, all this is only possible thanks to the visionary work of my Master Júlio Camacho. And here, thanks to the personal investment of all these people and many others, on January 18, we start again this story. Only now, being part of something much bigger, called: "Integrated Management".
(Trying iced coffee with Si Fu at the Nespresso shop)

Finally, back to the good times, I have been having excellent moments with Si Fu, understanding better and better his way of leading, interacting, planning and managing with the thinking always focused on the "whole" and not on the "Part". In addition, this same thought aims to solve as soon as possible anything that has been left open, so that as soon as possible, we can move forward again.
One of the first requests to be heard in a Ving Tsun session of the Grand Clan Moy Yat Sang is: "Connect with me." - The tutor refers to a small forward intention that he and you should put when touching, so that through this connection, it is possible to find out what to do. This intention ahead is easily lost when we are in a crisis situation, even symbolic ones. Some people, however, manage to keep this intention steady. For all others like me, it is possible to learn how to do this through the practice of Kung Fu. Because more than going forward, maintaining this intention is not as easy as a motivational phrase. However, it can be learned when we develop as human beings

The Legend of Julio Camacho : The man who is changing the Ving Tsun as we know it.

The marks on the face, the gray hair, and a gentle way to be, like those people who seem to need something really amazing to get out of their calm and relaxed state. All of this do not hide the well-lived 48 years old of the Senior Master of Ving Tsun Julio Camacho.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, the man who has one of the most innovative minds among professionals in his area, has been transmitting Ving Tsun in his hometown for the past 25 years. In this period, he formed or had a fundamental role in the trajectory of some of the most renowned Ving Tsun masters in the world, among them Master Ursula Lima. However, more than the professionals he helped to train, Master Julio Camacho, he has formed human beings over the years, through a tireless look always pointed towards the future. A future often contested by his peers who could not see so far.

After more than two decades of a life rich in experiences worthy of a movie or a book of unbelievable tales. Master Julio Camacho, with the consent of the living legend of Ving Tsun in South America, Grand Master Leo Imamura, who is his Master. He has begun from the last year with the help of some of his closest disciples, a work so innovative that its benefits will be availed not only for its contemporaneity, but also for future generations . And last weekend, an audience that can be considered lucky, witnessed the story being made, when participating in a Seminar that can be considered a true ground-breaker not only in Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence, but also in the world of Chinese martial arts in general, especially the Ving Tsun: "The Seminar of Theoretical Alignment Vol. 1"

Master Julio Camacho, passed through the 90's like a true hurricane in Moy Yat Ving Tsun of Brazil, when he received for four consecutive years the honor of professional of the year of this institution. It seems like a bamboo shoot that shoots up without warning in the dead of night, all of his projects are taking shape at one time almost two decades later. And the scariest thing of this is: He already seemed to know that!
The "Seminar of Theoretical Alignment Vol. 1", composes part of the formation of the "Instructors" that will coordinate what he named "Fundamental Program" also called "P1".

In a single weekend, with Grand Master Leo Imamura speeches recorded with high resolution images especially for this event. The public was introduced to the first 36 subjects considered fundamental for a practitioner or instructor to be able to discuss.
For the first time, it will be possible for a practitioner who begins his practice in Ving Tsun, to have contact with each class, with a different theoretical theme in a formal way.
For the instructor, it will not take many years for him to be able to have a reasonable amount of knowledge about the art he practices. Remembering that this is only the "Vol. 1" of this Seminar.

When talking with Master Julio Camacho, it is possible to feel the air vibrate. He seems an inexhaustible source of creative energy and careful attention. The minutest details of a simple everyday expression such as "good morning," gives him everything he needs to get smiles from the audience with some in-depth observation of a theme as simple as that: "When someone gives you a 'good morning,' you do not say 'thanks', then you also say 'good morning' without actually wanting the person to have a 'good morning.' Nor does the person respond to you and you do not care about the fact that she or he did not respond. " - Says the Senior Master.

To live those two days in the company of Master Julio Camacho, seemed in a certain way, to make a tour by part of what his vision in the future was seeing years before. For from its mature approach, sober and innovative on what the Ving Tsun System can provide. The place itself, the brand new MYVT Rio de Janeiro I O2 Barra da Tijuca School, which hosted the event, is meticulously designed to welcome this new phase of his professional career without limits.

It seems that gradually the legacy of the Moy Yat Lineage in Brazil begins a new saga, and the man who inherited the ability to see the future, as well as the generations that precede him in this line of successive generations of the Ving Tsun System, becomes a legend. But more importantly: A professional who is truly opening new doors for other Ving Tsun professionals in Brazil and around the world.

How to practice Ving Tsun with no Money. part 1

(Si Suk Ursula and I together in the surprise celebration of my birthday in 2010)

It was a weekday, I was sat with Si Suk Ursula for lunch at some restaurant in Barra Garden Mall in the 2000s. A member of the Family was moving away after many years because of financial matters, and Si Suk Ursula after saying goodbye she said kind of sad as she held her fork something related to the fact that often a person who apparently does not have the conditions to pay the fees for his or her practice, but who has the will for it, finds a way.
(Eu executando o "Siu Nim Do" observado por Si Suk Ursula)
(I performing the "Siu Nim Do" observed by Si Suk Ursula)

When I started in Ving Tsun I had a good coordination of my body, I was full of energy, my health was great, I had all the conditions to pay for the practice, etc ... This was even the "Mui Fa Jong". From there, my parents decided they were no longer willing to invest in a "Hobby", as they considered it.
Years later, as a professional, I heard several times  phrases such as "I'm kind of sedentary" ... All these phrases tried to justify something that could be done before or during practice . That's because, most people look at life from a "personal activism" perspective. If something did not work, it was because they could not do it by themselves.
(Bruce Lee in an interview that would be known as "Lost Interview")

Its unkown, that within this Chinese logic in which the Ving Tsun is inserted, we find a thought of efficacy which, by projecting no plan on the course of things, neither need to consider conducting under this half-end angle: therefore, not from an application but from exploitation (taking advantage of the potential involved in the situation).
That is, the fact that you can practice independently of your age, or perform a practice even in your best physical form, would not depend on what you can, but how much you can rely on what the scenario offers. It turns out, that quoting Bruce Lee in his well-known "Lost Interview" that is available on youtube, he says that the ultimate skill of a martial artist should be honesty.
(Com Si Fu durante almoço em São Paulo em 2016)
(With Si Fu during lunch in Sao Paulo in 2016)

- Teria dito Si Fu.

Over the years, Si Fu has talked about many things for me, which I have never forgotten again: One of them was about the fact that many times when we talk about something, give an advice to someone, or tell a story, we would actually be talking to ourselves. We need to hear ourselves talking about it.  All this, in a conscious but mostly unconscious way: "... The way the person assembles the thought ... The order that it presents what composes the speech, shows a lot too ..." - Had Si Fu said.
(Hot-dog time!
(Hot-dog time! With Si Suk Ursula in Ipanema in the first half of 2011)

So, in that conversation, Si Suk Ursula was also talking about it in a way. Because over time in a Kung Fu Family, you begin to value a number of things and moments that you could not do before. And by attributing this value appropriately, and even more: By being part of all the thinking that leads to it . Be in the form of an event, dinner, practice, etc ... That you at any given time stops finding something "expensive". Just as the "Yi Ji Kim Yeung Ma" stance is uncomfortable on the first day and then you appropriate it to the point of being comfortable.
Because we are talking about a symbolic value embedded in the object or moment. And therefore, precisely because we are able to give due value to the full access we are given to the Ving Tsun System that we mobilize ouserlves to keep moving foward. And in a perhaps magical way, we always find a way to move forward on this journey. We may walk 15 steps in one day, and in the next we will only stay where we are, but because we have the full notion of the treasure that is given to us by our Si Fu, we do not dare to leave the road.

So in this coexistence with Si Fu, I heard from him years ago that I should stop trying to convince him that I had no money, but take a time to wonder if I was choosing other things to invest.
When you have a Si Fu, you will find this one person, who will not let you convince him of any of that. He will listen to you with all his heart, but will not allow you to convince him of this or other things for a moment. Maybe, you were so bad at that time, that he just respects the moment for who knows, talk to you better later. But if you have any condition to hear it, he will probably call you to the move again.
(Walking through practice in mid-2009 at Méier)

Você deve estar pensando: "Ei! Qual a razão disso tudo?

You should be thinking, "Hey, what's the point of all this?" - Well, my Si Gung once said: "Kung Fu means accumulation of potential." - I found this interpretation very interesting, and I never forgot it again. So, there I was hearing from a student, that he was tired and so was not doing well in practice. I had heard something like that many times, but it was only that time that, like a torrent, it all came to my mind. And it was only then that I asked myself, "If it is possible to be a Kung Fu Master even though one is not the best fighter, or the best physically fit, because one rests on the potential of the situation. Does not this also apply to scarcity of money?"
Therefore, when we give up the justifications either to ourselves or to third parties, because we understand that no justification will change the situation, we will have the potential to understand how to be an excellent martial artist even though one is not the strongest, faster or even the person with more time or more resources. And if we can, with all that, be a great martial artist, why not, a great human being?

Special Class with Master Julio Camacho at the Moy Fat Lei Family´s house.

There is a mysterious period which the animal from the previous year is withdrawing and the animal of the new year is coming when it comes to Chinese culture and its "New Year" celebrations. At this point, the natures of the two years is mixed so you need to keep caution on bad news during this period. So, according to what I once heard, some people even turn off cell phones in this period so they do not receive any more bad news.

I do not know all the countries of the world and their cultures, not even Brazil. However, our tropical country resembles China. And one of those similarities, is that Brazil can overcome China in this "mysterious period" from one year to the next. For although we celebrate New Year's Eve like most of the countries of the West on 31 December. What few people know outside of Brazil, is that the year, in fact, just starts for us after what we call Carnival. So, it's like we're in a kind of limbo, we are in 2018 but the year did not started yet.
(In the foreground, I watch Si Fu doing the openning speech of the night)

Despite this peculiar Brazilian tradition, on January 4 of this year, the first day of operation of the Moy Fat Lei Family House in Méier. We received just over forty people who attended a historic "Inaugural Class" coordinated by Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan Leader in person. So, as wildfire, the news that the world-famous Senior Master Julio Camacho would be in the neighborhood presenting his innovative project "Fundamental Program" spread. And right on the first day of operation, the Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou was on fire at full throttle!

But this story started much earlier ...
(Si Fu visita o Mo Gun de nossa Família Kung Fu e tece importantes comenátios)
(Si Fu visits our Kung Fu Family´s Mo Gun and says some importants comments)

Si Fu had slept a few hours that night, and when he got out of the car, I could see he was a little tired. But it was only necessary that he take up the air so that his vigor and enthusiasm returned. He was wearing all black, like when we first met. That's because, in more than a decade, Si Fu has never been so active in several aspects simultaneously. Unlike those times, Si Fu returns to lead the management team not only of a single School, but of several. Moreover, as we are in a different era, he can not or , should not and does not want to do everything by himself. And so, he has been turning boys into a cohesive group in a short time.
( A smalltalkie with Si Fu about some considerations of him)

Si Fu insists a lot on me about the fact that it is not doing more of the same that we will get different results. In this way, without rest, a courageous group coordinated by Si Fu since November 21 has been holding daily meetings from 6:30 am to 7:30 am in order to change the current paradigm of how we professionally understand our careers . The legacy that Si Fu is leaving with everything he has been doing may be understood only ten years from now. For the moment, I do not think anyone on Moy Yat Ving Tsun has been waking up so early and sleeping as late during the holidays as Si Fu was.

When he got downstairs, it was as if a renowned magician had appeared to make his show. Everyone gathered in silence and quickly the contagious presence of Si Fu occupied the whole place. Not that he wanted it, but this is the odd spell he seems to have on people more than two decades, captivating to the point of such an exotic theme as "Chinese Variation System," catching one´s eye on a Thursday´s Night in a neighborhood of the North Zone of Rio.

When Romario was near the end of his career, some reporter asked him if his failure to sprint as he had when he was a young man disturbed him. Romário just replied, "I do not need to run, the ball runs to me."
Watching Si Fu that night was something like that. He made no effort to win over the audience, he just took what was offered and worked on it. And somehow, it was as if everything was previously combined with the audience: The jokes, the motions, the laughter, etc ... Even though they did not know. It was so natural that everything flowed.

I was there too and I could rest easy to enjoy the moment provided by Si Fu. I was fortunate enough to see old familiar faces. Kung Fu brothers like Rodrigo Demetrio, or old friends like Iron Jr (photo).

At one point, Si Fu who passed by me while everyone was practicing commented: "Have you seen how everyone is smiling?" - Si Fu referred to the lightness of the proposed practice, based on the concepts of the "Fundamental Program." A Program that aims to welcome practitioners who start their practice in one of the "Integrated Management" schools at a first moment.

And as in a "Blink of an eye" the night was over. Many of those present somehow tried to exchange some words with Si Fu or record that moment in photo. That night, we still talked a lot on the way home, and we went to dinner together. Around 00h I had one of the most important conversations with Si Fu recently, but this is a story for another day
