Uma vez perguntei ao meu Mestre Julio Camacho em 2011, por qual razão ele não mantinha fotos de suas duas filhas na mesa de seu recém montado escritório no novo Mo Gun em que estávamos alojados na época. Sua resposta como sempre foi surpreendente: " Eu não deixo fotos da Jade e da Julia aqui, para me forçar a estar com elas pessoalmente". - Fiz um movimento involuntário com o lábio inferior contraindo ele e balançando a cabeça positivamente num gesto de surpresa e concordância. Mestre Julio continuou: " Só deixamos fotos de pessoas que não vemos muito. Olha o Mo Gun por exemplo: Você vê alguma foto minha com exceção da Galeria de Mestres?" - Respondi que não com a cabeça e ele prosseguiu: "Eu não sou narcisista! Estou sempre aqui , não precisa de fotos minhas. Mas do Si Gung (referindo-se a seu Mestre) , você vê que tem algumas.."

I once asked my Master Julio Camacho in 2011, for which reason he did not keep photos of his two daughters on the table in his newly set up office in the new Mo Gun we were staying in at the time. His response as always was surprising: "I do not leave pictures of Jade and Julia here, to force me to be with them personally." Master Julio continued: "We only leave pictures of people that we do not see much. Look at the Mo Gun, for example: Do you see any pictures of me other than the Masters Gallery?" "Uma vida de privações". - É geralmente o que ouvimos de pessoas que se dedicaram profundamente a um determinado seguimento. Ao ouvirmos tal frase, pensamos em noites sem dormir, não poder as comidas que gostamos, um treinamento de horas, etc...  Mas nunca pensamos em estarmos longe das pessoas que amamos, para que possamos acompanhar outras pessoas que amamos e nos preparar melhor para receber pessoas que um dia podemos vir a amar.

"A life of deprivation." - It's usually what we hear from people who have been deeply committed to a particular way of life. When we hear this phrase, we think of sleepless nights, not the food we like, a lot of hours of training, etc. But we never think of being away from the people we love, so that we can accompany other people we love and prepare better To receive people that one day we can come to love.

Com os mesmos olhos que seriam parte marcante de seu semblante e futuramente de suas duas filhas, meu Mestre Julio nasceu em 30 de novembro de 1969, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, estado do Rio de Janeiro no Brasil . A tão querida por todos nós , Sra. Vera Lucia Corrêa Camacho, professora universitária e psicopedagoga , sua mãe, era casada com Frederico Camacho, pai de Mestre Julio Camacho e  professor de Artes Marciais.

With the same eyes that would be a striking part of his countenance and in future of his two daughters, my Master Julio was born on November 30, 1969, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The one so dear to us all, Mrs. Vera Lucia Corrêa Camacho, a university professor and psychopedagogue, his mother, was married to Frederico Camacho, father of Master Julio Camacho and professor of Martial Arts.

Dos  4 a 5 anos por influência de seu pai(foto), meu Mestre praticou Jiu Jitsu, depois disso, praticou  Karate até os 9 anos de idade. E talvez para declarar sua independência , começou a se dedicar ao Surf com 13 anos.
Infelizmente quando meu Mestre tinha 17 anos, seu pai veio a falecer. Como ele morava em Recife, meu Mestre passou a noite no quarto onde seu pai dormia  e redescobriu seus livros de artes marciais. Lá ele se depara com um livro sobre Ving Tsun e em seu retorno pratica Karate com o Sr Heraldo Soares e apenas pouco depois busca o Ving Tsun.

From the age of four to five, under the influence of his father (photo), my Master practiced Jiu Jitsu, after which he practiced Karate until he was 9 years old. And perhaps to declare his independence, began to dedicate to the Surf with 13 years old.
Unfortunately when my Master was 17 years old, his father passed away. As he lived in Recife in notrhwest of Brazil, my Master spent the night in the room where his father slept and rediscovered his martial arts books. There he comes across a book about Ving Tsun and on his return he tried Karate with Mr. Heraldo Soares and only shortly afterwards he seeks the Ving Tsun.

Estamos no Rio de Janeiro dos anos 80. "Juba &Lula" ainda passava na TV , e estava fresco na memória dos jovens , as longas filas que o filme "Menino do Rio" havia formado nas portas de cinema no início daquela década. Meu Mestre Julio Camacho em meio a isso tudo,  trabalhava como redator,e numa certa tarde achou anuncio com uma imagem do Bruce Lee no lixo com endereço de um local para prática de Ving Tsun. Um motoboy da empresa que trabalhava o ensinou a chegar a Marechal Hermes e lá começou sua primeira experiência com o Ving Tsun. Ele saltava do trem em Bento Ribeiro e andava até Marechal para praticar.

We were in Rio de Janeiro in the 1980s. "Juba & Lula" TV Show was still on TV, and it was fresh in the minds of the young people, the long lines that the movie "Menino do Rio" had formed on the movie doors earlier that decade. My Master Julio Camacho, in the midst of all this, worked as a writer, and one afternoon he found an add with a picture of Bruce Lee in the garbage with an address for a Ving Tsun practice. A motoboy of the company that worked with him taught him to arrive at Marshal Hermes neighborhood and there began his first experience with the Ving Tsun. He would jump off the train at Bento Ribeiro station and walk to Marshal to practice.

Ainda que tenha praticado o Sistema Ving Tsun por vários anos no final da década de 80, seu efetivo início no Sistema pode ser considerado como tendo sido no dia 27 de agosto de 1992, quando foi admitido na Família Moy Yat Sang 梅一生, através da intermediação de Moy Wai Nang 梅為能.

Cada grupo de praticantes de Kung Fu, ao qual chamamos "Família Kung Fu", tem um espírito diferente, um jeito diferente, uma perspectiva diferente em relação a como explorar o Kung Fu e o desenvolvimento de cada praticante.  Isso ocorre quase sempre, pelo tom dado pelo líder dessa Família.

Each group of Kung Fu practitioners, which we call the "Kung Fu Family", has a different spirit, a different way, a different perspective on how to explore Kung Fu and the development of each practitioner. This is almost always the tone given by the leader of this Family.

 Em 1987 Grão-Mestre Leo Imamura , fez algo que até mesmo se assistíssemos em um filme, seria difícil de conceber: Ele se tornou membro da Família Moy Yat mesmo sendo residente no Brasil. E ano após ano, por várias e várias vezes. Repetia a mesma viagem entre São Paulo e NY , a fim de poder trazer para o Brasil não só um Kung Fu de qualidade, mas muito conhecimento da cultura clássica chinesa, que no Brasil, principalmente no meio das artes marciais eram inéditos como o "Hung Baau".

In 1987 Grand Master Leo Imamura did something that even if we watched in a movie, it would be difficult to conceive: He became a member of the Moy Yat Family even though he was resident in Brazil. And year after year, over and over again.He repeated the same trip between São Paulo and NY, in order to bring to Brazil not only a quality Kung Fu, but a lot of knowledge of the Chinese classical culture, which in Brazil, especially in the martial arts wereunknown as the "Hung Baau "(red packet).

Dentre os discípulos de Grão-Mestre Leo Imamura que seguiram seus passos nestas viagens ao redor do mundo, está o meu Mestre Julio Camacho. Tendo acompanhado seu Mestre por todo o globo,essas viagens sempre foram muito especiais, mas quase sempre não foram fáceis de serem realizadas.

Desde sua primeira ida aos EUA , fazendo parte da histórica comitiva do Brasil que esteve presente no 60º aniversário do Patriarca Moy Yat (Foto) que se aposentaria na mesma ocasião. Mestre Julio Camacho fez viagens para várias partes dos EUA, Canadá, França, Russia, Caribe, América do Sul, África e Ásia.
Estas , não são viagens daquelas que programamos por muito tempo e fazemos tudo seguindo um cronograma ou um controle financeiro.
Tendo presenciado as viagens do meu Mestre por mais de uma década, acredito que seja mais uma questão de atitude. A capacidade de apontar o foco para a realização, e essa atitude, define quem vai e quem fica nestas viagens...

Since his first visit to the United States, he was part of the historic Brazilian delegation that was present on the 60th anniversary of Patriarch Moy Yat (Photo), who was to retire on the same occasion. Master Julio Camacho made trips to various parts of the USA, Canada, France, Russia, the Caribbean, South America, Africa and Asia.

O Mo Gun estava passando por reformas e Pedro Freire e Clayton Meireles trabalhavam duro para adiantar o que pudessem. De repente, uma forte chuva torrencial caiu. Minha esposa estava a caminho para nos encontrar lá. Era o dia de convidarmos os queridos Luiz e Carol a ingressarem na Família Kung Fu.

The Mo Gun was undergoing reforms and Pedro Freire and Clayton Meireles worked hard to advance what they could. Suddenly a heavy downpour fell. My wife was on her way to meet us there. It was the day of inviting dear Luiz and Carol to join the Kung Fu Family.

Pode não parecer, mas na foto acima, eu estava a meia hora de coordenar o III workshop da Moy Yat Ving Tsun no bairro do Méier. Em primeiro plano, meu Si Dai Felipe Mury, e ao fundo, com um olhar perdido, eu.
Em 2008, achei que o ano não estava muito bom. Mas já era 2009, estávamos em Agosto, e as coisas continuavam ruins. As vezes mais, as vezes menos... No dia da foto, era um dos dias bem ruins.
Falei com Si Fu ao telefone na noite anterior, ele perguntou se eu queria cancelar o workshop, respondi que não. O workshop correu bem, e na noite do mesmo dia, novamente com ele ao telefone, nosso inesquecível diálogo:
- Thiago você está aonde agora?
-No meu quarto - respondi de pé segurando o telefone sem fio.
-Tem janela aí?
-Sim. - Disse me virando para ela.
-O que você está vendo?
-O "Planalto do Chopp".
- Devem ter prédios aí em volta - Disse Si Fu prosseguindo depois: - Imagina Thiago que em algum desses prédios, ou em algum lugar do mundo, pode ter um futuro discípulo seu nesse exato momento. Pode ser uma criança ou pode ser que nem tenha nascido. Você precisa estar bem para receber essa pessoa. Lembra disso.

Fomos recebidos na casa do Luiz e da Carol. Um local bem aconchegante que em seu quintal corre um misterioso vento frio, ainda que o resto da cidade estivesse com um clima abafado. Meu primeiro pensamento foi a vontade de estender uma rede ali mesmo e balançar até dormir(risos)... Mas algo mais forte, cruzou meus pensamentos durante toda a noite: As palavras do Si Fu ao telefone naquele dia.
Se eu tivesse me entregado nos momentos ruins, que não foram poucos, não estaria sentindo aquele vento, não teria comido aquela deliciosa janta e não estaria recebendo mais dois To Dai em minha Família Kung Fu naquela noite.
Por isso, ver Pedro Freire, meu To Dai mais antigo fazendo a abertura do Kung Fu para cada um deles que formam esse casal, é também vivenciar a famosa frase de Si Fu na capa de seu livro "Tao do Surf": "Você nunca vai saber porque dedicou tanto de seu tempo a um sonho, até o dia em que este sonho salvar a sua vida."

We were met at Luiz and Carol's house. A very nice place that in its backyard runs a mysterious cold wind, although the rest of the city was hot as hell. If I had indulged myself in the bad times, which were not few, I would not be feeling that wind, I would not have eaten that delicious dinner and would not be getting two more To Dai in my Kung Fu Family that night.
So seeing Pedro Freire, my oldest To Dai opening the Kung Fu for each of them , was also for me experiencing the famous phrase of Si Fu on the cover of his book "Tao do Surf": "You never Will know why he has dedicated so much of your lifetime to a dream, until the day this dream saves your life. "

Não sei qual a fantasia que cada um que lê o Blog tem sobre ser um "Si Fu". Posso dizer apenas que as vezes me pego com um olhar perdido, como o da foto em 2009. No momento certo, não tem problema se perder em pensamentos de vez em quando... O que acontece , é que quando se é Si Fu, acredito que não podemos perder muito tempo assim, pois muitas pessoas precisam que estejamos olhando , senão sempre, na maior parte do tempo , na direção certa.
E naquela agradável noite, com dois queridos novos To Dai, pude apreciar mais um memorável momento.

I do not know what fantasy everyone who reads the Blog has about being a "Si Fu". I can only say that sometimes I get caught with a lost look, like the photo in 2009. 8 NEW VING TSUN MASTERS IN RIO (8 novos Mestres de Ving Tsun no Rio)

Naquela manhã, vestia um blusão que usei no aniversário do Si Fu de 40 anos. Me olhei no retrovisor central e ajeitei meu cordão que foi presente do meu Si Dai Carlos Antunes. Passei a 5º marcha e acelerei um pouco mais.Eu calçava os sapatos que ganhei de presente do meu Si Hing Cledimilson. No rádio, num volume um pouco mais alto que o normal, tocava "Angel of the City" do Robert Tepper.

That morning, wearing a blouse I wore on Si Fu's 40th birthday. I looked in the central rearview mirror and straightened my cord that was a gift from my Si Dai Carlos Antunes. I ride the 5th gear and accelerate a little more. I was wearing shoes gave to me by my Si Si Hing Cledimilson . On the radio, in volume a little louder than usual, it played "Angel of the City" by Robert Tepper.

Mais uma manhã havia nascido e enquanto atravessava a ponte estaiada em direção ao Península, onde tomaria café com o Si Fu, meu coração bateu mais forte, pois teremos um ano incrível! 
Devo dizer, que Si Fu divide sua carreira agora nos seguintes marcos: 1995, 2003 e 2017.
O vento batia em meu rosto e quando dei por mim , junto do final da música, chegara ao meu destino...

Depois do café da manhã, fomos todos para o Mo Gun, era o dia de abrirmos oficialmente as atividades do ano, prestando as reverências aos ancestrais de nossa Linhagem. Chamamos esse processo de "Abertura do Sam Toi. "Sam Toi" , é a mesa ancestral de um local.
Todos sentaram-se após prestarem as reverências e se prepararam para ouvir Si Fu falar algumas palavras. Ele começou explicando com detalhes, porque 2017 é um ano histórico para o Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou e para sua carreira. Alguns tomaram o que foi dito com surpresa. Eu já estava ciente, mas acho que em algum nível não consigo acreditar ainda. (risos)

After breakfast, we all went to the Mo Gun, it was the day of officially opening the year's activities , paying respect to the ancestors of our Lineage. We call this process "Opening of the Sam Toi." Sam Toi "is the ancestral table of a place.
We all sat down after bowing and prepared to hear Si Fu speak a few words. He began by explaining in detail why 2017 is a historic year for the Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou and for his career.  Si Fu falou da importância deste ano, quando completa 48 anos. Pois na cultura chinesa, a vida de uma pessoa é dividida em ciclos de doze anos tendo a idade de 60 anos como a mais importante, pois é quando você completa cinco ciclos de 12. Sendo assim, Si Fu este ano, entrará em seu último ciclo destes cinco.

Si Fu spoke of the importance of this year when he turns 48. For in Chinese culture, a person's life is divided into twelve-year cycles having the age of 60 as the most important, for that is when you complete five cycles of 12. So, this year Si Fu will enter into his last Cycle of these five.

Si Fu(foto) fez alguns convites a alguns dos presentes naquela manhã: João Pedro, foi convidado para iniciar os procedimentos para o convite de ingresso na Família Moy Jo Lei Ou. Outro desejo expressado por Si Fu naquela manhã, foi que um grupo de pessoas que lá estavam, começassem  processo de Baai Si: Fernando Xavier(foto), Clayton Meireles, Fabiano Granado(foto), Bruno Brandão e Pedro Oliveira(foto).
Alguns se emocionaram outros foram pegos de surpresa, e nós, os irmãos mais velhos, ficamos felizes com a notícia!

Si Fu (photo) made some invitations to some of those present that morning: João Pedro, was invited to start the procedures for the invitation to join the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family. Existe um termo em inglês que é "I didn´t see that coming" ...  Acho que posso dizer isso do outro anúncio/desejo que Si Fu fez/expressou para 8 discípulos de nosso Clã.
Primeiro, Si Fu deixou claro , sua disponibilidade irrestrita para todas estas pessoas ao longo do ano: "Podem me procurar" - Disse ele. A seguir, os convidou a iniciar o processo de Titulação de Mestre, através de um projeto individual.
Si Hing Cledimilson e Guilherme de forma evidente se emocionaram bastante, e eu acabei indo junto.

There is a term in English that is "I didn't see that coming" ... I think I can say this from the other announcement / wish that Si Fu did / expressed to 8 disciples of our Clan.

MOVIE SESSION IN MEIER (SESSÃO DE CINEMA NO MÉIER)

Num final de ano desafiador, tive uma semana que antecedeu o natal muito boa! Em primeiro lugar, porque o Netflix resolveu dispor "Purple Rain" com Prince em seu catálogo, ainda que, bem mais importante do que isso. Tenha sido a calorosa recepção que recebemos na casa de Renato e Poliana Madeira, em evento organizado por Filipe Lima para que juntos, assistíssemos o filme "The Grandmasters"(Yat Doi Jung Si , 2013) com comentários que levassem a um melhor entendimento do Mo Lam.

In a challenging year's end, I had a week before Christmas! Firstly, because brazilian Netflix decided to put "Purple Rain" starring Prince in its catalog, although, much more important to do . It has been a warm reception that we receive at the house of Renato and Poliana Madeira, in an event organized by my To Dai Filipe Lima so we could together, watch the movie "The Grandmasters" (Yat Doi Jung Si, 2013) with comments that lead to a better understanding of Mo Lam.

Segundo a Si Taai Vanise Imamura (foto) , a hospitalidade é o encontro entre os diferentes.e o que vai mediar isso , é uma consciência cuidadosa ou atenção cuidadosa. Entender que o outro que num primeiro momento é muito diferente de você, pode vir a ter um lado que é igual ao seu.
Ela também comenta, que a hospitalidade tem uma dimensão ética muito importante , enquanto uma geradora de uma ambiência favorável para processos relacionais. (Psicológica TV - 15 de Fev de 2012)

According to Si Taai Vanise Imamura (photo), hospitality is the encounter between the different ones. And what will mediate this, is a careful conscience or careful attention. Understand that the other who at first is very different from you, may have a side that is equal to yours.

A noite começou com algumas outras surpresas muito interessantes: A Família Madeira presenteou o Mo Gun com um presente recebido pelo Diretor do Núcleo Méier, Clayton Meireles. E presenteou a mim e a sua Si Mo. Eu ganhei um livro maravilhoso com fotos da carreira de Ayrton Senna desde antes do Kart até o final que me pegou de surpresa. Já Vanessa recebeu um livro com um curioso titulo que me botou para refletir: "O resgate de uma Workaholic"- Trata-se de um livro de poesias da irmã de Renato: "...Quando a arte nasceu em mim, meu mundo ganhou novas cores..." -  Posso compartilhar dessa reflexão da autora, ainda que viver de arte nos traga junto seus desafios: "Para viver de arte é preciso ser um artista" - Teria dito Si Taai Gung Moy Yat.

The evening began with some other very interesting surprises: The Madeira Family presented the Mo Gun with a gift received by the Director of Méier School, Clayton Meireles. "- I can share this reflection of the author, even if living of art brings us  challenges within:" To live by art one must be an artist"- Would have said Si Taai Gung Moy Yat.

A casa estava cheia, e não só os anfitriões eram do Ving Tsun Experience, como também vários outros presentes. Realmente , o Núcleo Méier parece ter essa natureza que favorece a aproximação de seus membros num nível muito especial , ainda que formalmente não sejam da Família, o sentimento que se manifesta tão rapidamente, sempre me intriga. E o fato de Clayton Meireles ter se tornado Diretor do Núcleo ajudou ainda mais nesse processo.

The house was full, and not only the hosts were from the Ving Tsun Experience, but also several other present people. Indeed, the Méier School seems to have such a nature that it favors the rapprochement of its members on a very special level, even though they are formally not of the Family, the feeling that manifests itself so quickly, always intrigues me. And the fact that Clayton Meireles became Director of the school helped further in that process.

Quando indiquei Clayton para ocupar o lugar de Diretor do Núcleo Méier, que ocupei informalmente entre 2008 e 2010 e formalmente entre 2011 e 2016.  Foi por ter visto em Clayton algumas qualidades que acredito serem muito importantes: A principal delas, é a de não medir esforços para algo acontecer. Comecei a perceber isso , quando Clayton assumiu o trabalho de Inteligência Marcial para Crianças , que chamamos de "Siu Ye Kuen". Ele simplesmente se dedicava a algo bem mais além do que simplesmente cumprir o horário. Mas de proporcionar uma experiência bem humana a elas, e isso acabou por alcançar os outros membros do Núcleo quando ele assumiu a Direção.

When I appointed Clayton to take the position of Director of the Meier School, which I held informally between 2008 and 2010 and formally between 2011 and 2016. It was because I saw in Clayton some qualities that I believe to be very important: The main one is not to measure Efforts to make something happen. I began to realize this when Clayton took over the work of Martial Intelligence for Children, which we call "Siu Ye Kuen."  Ainda posso lembrar com clareza de encontros como esse em casa de membros da Família em meados dos anos 2000, como esse que abriu o ano de 2007 na casa da Discípula Xênia D'Avila.
Si Fu, que aparece de pé no canto esquerdo, sempre valorizou esses convites para realização de eventos da Família Kung Fu nas casas de seus membros, exatamente por conta desse aspecto Familiar.

I can still remember with clarity such meetings at the home of members of the Family in the mid-2000s, such as the one that opened the year 2007 at the home of the Disciple Xênia D'Avila.
Si Fu, who appears standing in the left corner, always valued these invitations to hold Kung Fu Family events in the homes of their members, precisely because of this Family aspect.

E a um mês desse encontro na casa da Xenia que dentre tantos outros, marcaram minha trajetória como um dos To Dai que corria atrás da organização, comida, convidados, etc... Completar dez anos. Me vi cercado pela minha própria Família Kung Fu na casa do Renato, Poliana, Dani e Davi em evento capitaneado por Filipe.
Viver de arte pode ser desafiador, mas não tem um dia sequer que não valha a pena nesse Caminho. Acontece que estes dias passam num piscar de olhos, e aproveitar cada momento de forma plena é importante...

And a month from this meeting at Xenia's house, among many others, marked my journey as one of the To Dai who ran after the organization, food, guests, etc ... Complete ten years. I found myself surrounded by my own Kung Fu Family at the home of Renato, Poliana, Dani and Davi in an event led by Filipe.

THE BIRTHDAY OF MOY JO LEI OU CLAN LEADER

Já faz um tempo que estava assistindo um vídeo de um profissional de Ving Tsun que admiro da Linhagem Chu Shong Ting. Era um vídeo onde ele dava um depoimento durante um aniversário do próprio Chu Shong Ting. Ao fundo, um banner que congelava um dos muitos sorrisos do velho mestre, com alguns dizeres em ideograma. Eu então pensei: "Poxa! Nunca havia pensado nisso! " - E felizmente deu tempo de fazer um banner do Si Fu(foto) retratando o que ele para mim tem de melhor: Um olhar à frente e um sorriso no rosto.

It's been a while since I was watching a video of a Ving Tsun professional I admire from the  Chu Shong Ting Lineage. It was a video about the day of the anniversary of Chu Shong Ting. In the background, a banner that freezes one of the many smiles of the old master, with some words in ideograms. I thought, "Wow, it's never been thought of for our Si Fu!" - And fortunately we had time to do a banner of Si Fu (photo) portraying what he to me has better: A look forward and a smile on his face.

Aquele Sábado para mim foi especial, pois já fazia um tempo que não comemorávamos apenas o aniversário do Si Fu: Sem Cerimônias ou qualquer outra celebração e atividade que não só seu aniversário. Eram outros tempos! Com apenas seu Núcleo funcionando na Barra, o aniversário do Si Fu era uma data sempre realizada com muita festa.
Por isso, relembrando tantos grandes momentos ao longo da semana, junto dos meus irmãos Kung Fu resolvemos fazer algo especial , mas principalmente intimista.


That Saturday for me was special, since it had been a while since we did not celebrated only the birthday of Si Fu: No Ceremonies or any other celebration and activity that not only his birthday. It was like old times! With only its School running in Barra, Si Fu's birthday was always a party date.
So, remembering so many great moments throughout the week, together with my  Kung Fu brothers we decided to do something special, but mainly intimate.

O local era bem aconchegante e adequado, e surpreendentemente encontrado e negociado por um casal do Ving Tsun Experience do Méier. O aniversário do Líder do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou, reuniu caras novas, as caras de sempre, e também , caras que não víamos a muito tempo, como do meu irmão Thiago Silva e sua filha Laurien. E todo este clima, preenchia a sala como nos velhos tempos! É, você pode me chamar de saudosista, mas é apenas uma mania que eu tenho de  pescar o passado
do lixo,esfregá-lo,repintar as partes feias e reciclar tudo por mais do que vale.

The place was nicely cozy and adequate, and surprisingly found and negotiated by a couple of the Ving Tsun Experience from Méier School. The anniversary of  Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan Leader, brought together new faces, the faces of always, and also, faces that we did not see for a long time, as my brother Thiago Silva and his daughter Laurien. And all this climate, filled the room like old times! Yeah, you can call me nostalgic, but it's just a craze I have to fish the past
Of rubbish, rub it, repaint the ugly parts and recycle everything for more than it's worth.

A obra da vida do Líder do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou estava por todo o lugar! Desde seu livro "Tao do Surf" até suas duas filhas, passando por seus To Dai e Si Dai. Foi muito bom poder rever todo este processo que é o aniversário do Líder do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou: Um Sábado por ano que nos organizamos para celebrar sim, a figura do Si Fu, mas para algumas pessoas mais antigas como eu, celebrar principalmente o Julio Camacho.

The life work of  Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan Leader was all over the place! From his book "Tao of Surf" to his two daughters, passing by his To Dai and Si Dai. It was very nice to be able to review this whole process, which is the birthday of  Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan Leader: One Saturday a year we organize to celebrate , the figure of the Si Fu,ok, but for some older fellas like me, celebrate mainly the Julio Camacho.

O andróide(Replicante) Roy Batti, é o personagem de Rutger Howard em "Blade Runner"(1982) diz ao Caçador de Andróides Deckard (Harrison Ford) pouco antes de seus quatro anos de vida se extinguirem sob forte chuva ao final do filme: "...Eu vi coisas que vocês não imaginariam. Naves de ataque em chamas ao largo de Órion. Eu vi raios-c brilharem na escuridão próximos ao Portão de Tannhäuser. Todos esses momentos se perderão no tempo, como lágrimas na chuva. Hora de morrer..." - Bom, olhando a foto acima do aniversário do Si Fu de 2012 numa simples mesa de uma pizzaria, com ele bem adoentado e poucas pessoas que conseguimos reunir a tempo de celebrar devido ao contexto da época. Posso dizer, que não haverá um livro de auto-ajuda, palestra ou qualquer processo motivacional sobre "Acreditar em momentos de escuridão"(Believe in the dark), que superem, o que presenciei Si Fu fazer nos últimos anos...  A reviravolta que ele magistralmente deixou aqueles que estavam próximos presenciarem...

"- Well, looking at the photo above of Si Fu's birthday of 2012 at a simple table in a pizzeria, with him very sick and few people we managed to get together in time to celebrate due to the context of the time. I can say that there will not be a self-help book, lecture or any motivational process about "Believe in the Dark", which surpasses, what I have witnessed Si Fu do in recent years ... The turnaround That he masterfully left those who were close to him witness ...

O problema nunca foi aquela simples mesa de pizzaria mas eu realmente me emocionei vendo o local como estava. Era como se chegássemos novamente a um cume, preparados para decolar em 2017. E por isso, no ano em que o Líder do Clã comemora 25 anos na Família Kung Fu, tenho certeza, que estaremos preparados para voar alto. Ou simplesmente, "fazer história"... Sobre o passado, bem, deixemos ele como nossa versão "Das naves de ataque em chamas ao largo de Órion" , ninguém nunca saberá o que presenciei.

The problem was never that simple pizzeria table but I really was thrilled seeing the place as it was this night. It was as if we were back on a ridge ready to take off in 2017. And so in the year that the Clan Leader celebrates 25 years in the Kung Fu Family, I'm sure we'll be prepared to fly high. Or simply, "make history" ... On the past, well, let's leave it as our version of "Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion," no one will ever know what I witnessed.

Cada vez que me chateei com o afastamento de um irmão Kung Fu, Si Fu costumava dizer: "Acreditar na relação Thiago, esse é o segredo!" - Si Fu se referia a acreditar que a relação é forte o suficiente, para deixar a pessoa tomar um tempo para ela, e se aproximar novamente quando achar que deve. E , ao ver meu Si Hing Cledimilson como "Mestre de Cerimônias", o homem que me ensinou o Cham Kiu em 2001 ali na frente. Foi como uma manifestação dessa crença do Si Fu. Enquanto eu estava emocionado, cada vez que ele pegava o microfone, para Si Fu , parecia que nunca houveram dúvidas de que isso iria acontecer...

Every time I got upset when a Kung Fu brother leaves the Family. Si Fu used to say: "Believe in the relationship Thiago, that's the secret!" - Si Fu meant to believe that the relationship is strong enough, to let the person take time for him, and to approach again when he thinks he should. And, seeing my Si Hing Cledimilson as "Master of Ceremonies" that night, the man who taught me the Cham Kiu in 2001 up there. It was like a manifestation of this belief of Si Fu. While I was thrilled, every time he picked up the microphone, to Si Fu, it seemed like there was never any doubt that this would happen ...

Durante as homenagens de algumas pessoas ao microfone, tivemos muitos momentos e palavras tocantes, mas também algumas cenas marcantes como ver André Almeida(foto) e Clayton Meireles, sendo apresentados extra-oficialmente como os novos diretores de Núcleo do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou. Respectivamente os Núcleos Barra e Méier. Que na verdade, já é um trabalho que vem acontecendo a pouco mais de um ano, e que começa a se manifestar aos poucos. Nas adquiridas elegância de André e capacidade de oratória de Clayton, mas principalmente, numa Gestão Integrada que caminhe também junta.

During the homage of some people to the microphone, we had many touching moments and words, but also some remarkable scenes like André Almeida (photo) and Clayton Meireles, being presented unofficially as the new directors of  Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan Schools. Respectively the Barra and Méier Schools. That, in fact, is already a work that has been going on for a little more than a year, and that begins to manifest itself gradually. In acquired Andre's elegance  and Clayton's oratorical capacity, but mainly, in an Integrated Management that also walk together.

Si Gung costuma falar que damos os "Parabéns" ao filho que está fazendo aniversário, mas esquecemos da mãe. A mãe é a pessoa que teve todo o trabalho para que o filho viesse ao mundo e sobrevivesse. E naquela noite, junto da irmã do Líder do Clã e de suas filhas, sua mãe, Sra Vera Camacho, falou um pouco sobre a felicidade que era poder ser mãe dele, e nos emocionou ao agradecer todo o acolhimento da Família Kung Fu.

Si Gung usually says that we give the "Congratulations" to the son who is celebrating his birthday, but we forget his mother. The mother is the person who took all the work so that the child came into the world and survived. (First time I organized Si Fu's visit.) Primeiro evento organizado para o Si Fu

Hoje é difícil imaginar um mundo onde não haja um Mo Gun da Linhagem Moy Yat no Méier. Mas em meados da década de 2000, era pelo contrário, difícil de imaginar que um dia haveria um.
Ainda funcionávamos numa escola de dança (foto) com um grupo que teimava em não crescer o suficiente para nos mudarmos. Anos mais tarde, a convite do local, precisamos nos retirar. E finalmente descobri , com apenas cinco praticantes, que já poderíamos ter um Mo Gun a muito mais tempo. E assim aconteceu o Mo Gun do Méier, algo como aconteceu com Kevin Costner em "Campo dos Sonhos"(Field of Dreams,1989), quando ele ouvia uma voz dizendo: "Construa e eles virão".
Mas hoje, não queria falar dessa saga já conhecida por muitos, mas sim, do primeiro evento que organizei para receber o Si Fu no Méier. Como dito acima, ainda na escola de dança, que chamávamos de "Unidade Méier"...

Still running in a dance school (photo) with a group that would not grow enough to move. Years later, the owner made an invitation, that we need to leave. And finally I discovered, with only five practitioners, that we already have powerful to move and build a Mo Gun . And just as happened in Field of Dreams, 1989, when Kevin Costner heard a voice saying, "Build and they will come."
But today, I did not want to speak about this saga already known by many, but rather, the first event that I organized to receive our Si Fu in Méier. As said above, still at the dance school, which we  used to call "Studio meier" ...

Primeiro evento organizado para o Si Fu

First time I organized  Si Fu's visit.

O evento aconteceu numa cozinha desativada do local ,com cerca de 5mx 2m , era também onde praticávamos durante a semana. Si Fu chegou e algumas cadeira sujas de plástico do local estavam dispostas para os presentes sentarem. Também usamos um antigo sofá vermelho, que ficava guardado nessa cozinha e precisávamos tirar toda a vez que iríamos usá-la. Para Si Fu escrever, usamos um quadro branco que eu mesmo fazia uso durante as sessões.

The visit happened in a deactivated kitchen of the place, with about 5mx 2m, it was also where we practiced during the week. Si Fu arrived and some dirty plastic chairs  were arranged for the guests to sit down. We also used an old red sofa that was stored in this kitchen and we needed to take it out every time we used it. For Si Fu writings , we used a whiteboard that I used during the sessions myself.

Alguns praticantes muito queridos , que marcaram esse primeiro momento do Núcleo Méier estavam presentes: Thiaguinho Thiers, o primeiro a trabalhar o "Siu Ye Kuen" e sua avó, Gustavo Santos, Raphinha Caputo (que chegaria até o Biu Ji) e seu irmão Rodrigo Caputo(que chegou também até o Biu Ji e apresentou Pedro Freire à Família), e por último , Carla Bastos.
Carlos Antunes(foto) também esteve presente para acompanhar Si Fu assim como Guilherme de Farias, que ainda era membro exclusivo da chamada "Unidade Méier". Naquele dia mais cedo, Lucas Eustáquio, hoje no Mui Fa Jong, começou o Siu ye Kuen com 11 anos de idade.
Com um público de faixa-etária tão baixa, a comida que eles levaram não passava de Fandangos e refrigerantes. rs

Some very dear practitioners who marked this first moment of the Moy Yat Lineage in Meier, were present: Little Thiago Thiers, the first to work "Siu Ye Kuen"(kids class) and his grandmother, Gustavo Santos, Little Raphael Caputo (who would reach to Biu Ji) and his brother Rodrigo Caputo (who also reached  Biu Ji and introduced Pedro Freire to the Family), and lastly, Carla Bastos.
Carlos Antunes (photo) was also present to accompany Si Fu as well as Guilherme de Farias, who was still an exclusive member of the so-called "Studio Meier". Earlier that day, Lucas Eustaquio, now in Mui Fa Jong Domain, started Siu Ye Kuen at the age of 11.
With such a low age group, the food they took was just Fandangos Snacks and Coca-Cola. LOL

Hoje posso apenas imaginar , o quão difícil era aquele público para Si Fu. Mas um momento marcante para mim, foi quando Si Fu por seguidas vezes ficou sem retorno do público após perguntar : "Alguém quer fazer alguma pergunta?" - E ninguém respondia! - Si Fu então olhando para a frente, tocou em minha perna e perguntou: "E você Thiago? Não tem nenhuma questão que você queira colocar?" - Ainda muito desatento naquela época , respondi que não, sem perceber que Si Fu precisava de "uma ponte" para prosseguir. Brincando ele falou para todos: "Bom, então terminamos?" - Finalmente Guilherme fez uma pergunta.
Já no final, Si Fu fez o fechamento e mais uma vez perguntou: "Quer falar alguma coisa Thiago?" - Mais uma vez desatento ao meu papel naquele momento respondi que não. Dessa vez porém, Si Fu comentou: "Você não acha que era bom? " - E finalmente entendendo a minha falta de atenção, de forma despreparada como se pode ver na foto acima, eu, como organizador do evento, falei as palavras finais a pedido do Si Fu.

Today I can only imagine, how difficult was that audience for Si Fu. But a striking moment for me, was when Si Fu for many times ran out of the audience after asking, "Anyone want to ask a question?" And no one answered! Si Fu then looking forward, touched my leg and asked, "And you, Thiago? Do not you have any questions you want to ask?" - Still very inattentive at that time, I answered "no", not realizing that Si Fu needed a "bridge" to continue. Joking, he said to everyone, "Well, did we finished?" Finally Guilherme asked a question.
Already in the end, Si Fu made the closing and once again asked: "Do you want to say something Thiago?" - Again inattentive to my role at that time I replied  "no". This time though, Si Fu commented, "Dont you think it would be good?" - And finally understanding my lack of attention, unprepared as you can see in the photo above, I, as organizer of the event, said something that I cant remember!

Meu To Dai Vitor Sá, um aficionado por futebol, diria que "goleiro bom também tem sorte". No Ving Tsun, "To Dai dedicado também tem sorte."  - Pois mesmo fazendo Si Fu comer Fandangos por muitas outras vezes, e não entendendo muito bem meu papel em outras ocasiões, o Núcleo Méier vem perseverando , e hoje é até difícil imaginar que já estivemos naquela cozinha um dia.
Isso acontece, porque a melhor coisa que pode acontecer a um praticante de Kung Fu, é seguir junto ao seu Si Fu até o final. Isso vai fazer com que haja tempo suficiente para juntos nos melhorarmos e entendermos melhor as nuances da vida. - "Enquanto você estiver perto, dá pra gente trabalhar nisso..." - Diria Si Fu para mim muitas vezes depois.

My To Dai Vitor Sá, a soccer fan, would say that "A good goalkeeper is also lucky". In Ving Tsun, 
" A  dedicated To Dai is also lucky." - Even though Si Fu would eat Fandangos snacks many other times, and not understanding my role very well on other occasions, the Méier School has been persevering, and today it is hard to imagine that we were ever in that kitchen one day.
This happens because the best thing that can happen to a Kung Fu practitioner is to follow along with his Si Fu until the end. This will allow enough time for us to get better together and better understand the nuances of life. "While you're around, we can work on it ..." Si Fu would say to me many times later.

Cada coisa tem seu modo, seu jeito, suas regras... Quando falamos em "Legitimidade" , esta palavra deriva do Latim "LEGITIMARE": “Tornar legal, tornar acorde com a lei”. E , por muitas vezes foi comum eu ouvir perguntas como: "Ei! Vale golpear a cabeça no Chi Sau?" .
Si Fu costuma dizer que você precisa sempre se fazer três perguntas: "Eu quero?" , "Eu posso?" e "Eu devo?". Segundo ele , se você puder responder "Sim" a essas três perguntas, então você pode ir em frente.

Mas você se surpreende com a obsessão doentia de Chen Shi em abrir um Mo Gun para perdurar o legado do Ving Tsun já que ele é o último remanescente deste estilo.
Você transita entre a pena e a raiva com relação ao personagem e o filme te deixa com um aperto no coração.
Se "tem final feliz"? Depende do que você considera "Final feliz"!

The film tells the story of Chen Shi, a  Ving Tsun(Wing Chun) Si Fu, who arrives in TianJin to open a Ving Tsun  school(Mo Gun). At the beginning of the movie, you think he is more of a fancy character, but with "superpowers" like Donnie Yen's "Ip Man" franchise . But you're surprised by Chen Shi's unhealthy obsession with opening a School(Mo Gun) to endure the legacy of Ving Tsun since he is the last remnant of this style.
You move between grief and anger about the character and the movie leaves you with a tightness in the heart.
If it has a happy ending? It depends on what you consider "Happy Ending"!

O figurino do filme é um espetáculo à parte! A elegância dos atores vai fazer você sorrir quando estiver assistindo! E cada personagem do filme, tem um potencial muito grande, que Xu Hao Feng poderia ter explorado caso desejasse.
O filme vai fundo no coração dos verdadeiros artistas marciais, trazendo a tona, o quanto nossa vontade , pode ficar acima das condicionantes e das pessoas ao nosso redor. O quanto que é importante entender que "poder acertar a cabeça ou não fazendo Chi Sau" , não é a pergunta a ser feita. E sim, considerando o Domínio que você está trabalhando, se a sua ação tem legitimidade ou não.
Porque se tiver, você e seu companheiro saberão. E mesmo que você seja golpeado com muita força, você vai aprender com isso, simplesmente porque era legitimo!

The costumes are a spectacle apart! The elegance of the actors will make you smile when watching! And every character in the movie has a very great potential that Xu Hao Feng could have explored if he wished.
The film goes deep into the heart of true martial artists, bringing out, how much our will,could be above the constraints and the people around us. How important it is to understand that "being able to hit the head or not doing Chi Sau" is not the question to ask. And yes, considering the Domain you are working on, whether your action has legitimacy or not.
Because if you have, you and your partner will know. And even if you are hit hard, you will learn from it, simply because it was legitimate!

Também vale a pena destacar , o papel primordial das mulheres nesse filme! Representadas pela esposa do personagem principal (foto) , que pode ser considerada uma espécie de "Shang Hai Po" , ou simplesmente, uma pessoa que tem contato com as nuances duras da vida, das ruas e do circulo marcial , mas apenas transita nesses mundos sem tomar parte.  Também temos a brilhante atuação de Wenli Jiang , como a Líder do Círculo Marcial de TianJin, que usa estratégia e política a todo momento, sendo a maior dos Mestres por conta disso. E por fim, a menina que serve chá, representando toda a inocência de quem está à parte dos processos das sociedades imanentes.

Also worth noting is the primordial role of women in this movie! Represented by the wife of the main character (photo), who can be considered a person who has contact with the harsh nuances of life, the streets and the martial circles, but only transits in these worlds without taking part. We also have the brilliant performance of Wenli Jiang, as TianJin Martial Circle Leader, who uses strategy and politics at all times, being the greatest of the Masters because of that. And finally, the girl who serves tea, representing all the innocence of those who are apart of the processes of immanent societies.
