Na foto vemos um jovem Bruce Lee ao lado de seu Si Fu Ip Man. E Bruce como sempre nas fotos com o Patriarca mostra-se orgulhoso de estar ao seu lado. Será que ainda assim os dois teriam se desentendido como alguns afirmam? Será que Ip Man teria repreendido Bruce por ensinar o Ving Tsun a estrangeiros?

Bruce Lee escreveu duas cartas sobre suas convicções e seu Si Fu:

In the picture above we see a young Bruce Lee alongside his Si Fu Ip Man.And as always Bruce in  the photos that show the he with his Si Fu, he looks proud to be by his side. Does it still have the two quarreled as some claim? Does Ip Man would have rebuked Bruce for teaching Ving Tsun to foreigners?
 
Bruce Lee wrote two letters about his ideas and about his Si Fu:

Taky Kimura estava na primeira turma oficial de alunos de Bruce Lee nos EUA, hoje ele é um dos que guardam seu tumulo.

Bruce escreveu para Kimura em Fevereiro de 65:

"....Minha mente está pronta para começar um sistema desenvolvido por mim. Quero dizer, um sistema que englobe tudo, mas que ainda assim haja com simplicidade. Ele irá se concentrar na raiz das coisas: timming,distância,energia...

...Este será de longe o mais efetivo método que alguém encontrá.Qualquer coisa além dele será super-fantástico.

Ving Tsun será o ponto de partida,Chi Sau será o seu núcleo e depois será complementado pelos 5 Caminhos..."

Taky Kimura was one of the first official class of students of Bruce Lee in the U.S., today he is one of guarding Bruce´s tomb.
Bruce wrote to Kimura on February, 1965:
 

".... My mind is ready to begin a system developed by me. I mean a system that ebraces everything, but still there is simplicity. It will focus on the root of things: timing, distance, energy .. .... This is by far the most effective method .Anythingbeyond that woul be super-fantastic.Ving Tsun is the starting point, Chi Sau is its nucleus and then be supplemented by the 5 Ways ... "

Na foto acima vemos a primeira turma de Bruce Lee: O primeiro de joelhos da direita p/ a esquerda é Taky Kimura.

Observe que extra-oficialmente, Bruce Lee não só treinava com conhecidos como ensinava em aulas particulares antes e depois de formar sua turma. E ele escrevia sobre isso em cartas a seus Si Hing em Hong Kong.

 In the photo above we see the first class of Bruce Lee Taky Kimura(first on his knees from right) was there as Jesse Glover his first student. Note that unofficially, Bruce Lee trained with known people not only as teaching private lessons before and after forming his class. And he wrote about it in letters to his Si Hing in Hong Kong.

Muita gente quando digita no google "Ving Tsun ou Wing Chun,etc" + "Bruce Lee" ou "Ip Man + Bruce Lee" acha uma série de fotos de Bruce fazendo Chi Sau.(Na maioria das vezes é a mesma foto repetida).Na verdade, Bruce já com certa fama voltou a Hong Kong e marcou um almoço com seu Si fu Ip Man. Durante o almoço Bruce Ip Man para tirar mais de 200 fotos profissionais em um estúdio de Hong Kong. Se hoje é caro, imagina na época? Bruce também ofereceu um carro de presente ao seu Si Fu,pois ao contrário do que muitos pensam,Ip Man em Hong Kong não tinha muito dinheiro. O Patriarca do Ving Tsun então aceitou apenas o convite para as fotos, o que talvez mostrasse que não poderia ter havido ressentimentos entre eles.

A lot of people when you type in google "Ving Tsun or Wing Chun, etc." or  "Bruce Lee+ Ip Man"  finds a series of pictures of Bruce doing Chi Sau(In most cases it is the same photo repeated) . In fact, Bruce has returned with a certain fame to Hong Kong and arranged a lunch with his Si Fu Ip Man .Bruce invoted  Ip Man to take over 200 pictures in a professional studio in Hong Kong. If today is expensive, imagine at the time? 

Bruce also offered a car as a gift to his Si Fu, because unlike what many think, Ip Man in Hong Kong did not have much money. The Patriarch of Ving Tsun then only accepted the invitation to the photos, which show that there could not have been hard feelings between them.

Bruce escreveu para James Yim Lee em Julho de 1965 quando estava em Hong Kong:

 

"  ...Aproveito pra dizer que terminamos de tirar todas as fotos de Siu Nim Tau e tantas outras técnicas demonstradas pelo meu Si Fu Ip Man.Mais  de 130 fotos já foram tiradas e vamos chegar a 200. Estas fotos vão se mostrar valiosas quando meu livro for lançado. O Mestre do Ving Tsun,Si Fu Ip Man nunca foi fotografado praticando. Ele está com 66 anos de idade agora, e eu penso, que daqui há uns anos, estas serão suas únicas fotos praticando..."        

Bruce wrote from Hong Kong to James Yim Lee in July 1965 :

 "... By the way we finished taking all the pictures of Siu Nim Tau and many other techniques demonstrated by my Si Fu Ip Man.More than 130 pictures were taken and we get to 200. These pictures will prove to be valuable when my book is released. The Master of Ving Tsun, Si Fu Ip Man, has never been photographed practicing. He is 66 years old now, and I think that in a few years, those photos will be unique pictures ... "

Então hoje se você encontra fotos de Ip Man para ilustrar seus site , bem,talvez na maioria das fotos que você achar,você tem que agradecer a Bruce Lee,Bill gates e o cara que scaneou isso tudo!

So, if today you can find photos for your site with Ip Man practcing, in the most of the cases you have to remember Bruce lee..hehe

Quando Patriarca Ip Man faleceu, não só o Ving Tsun, mas toda a comunidade marcial perdeu um grande expoente. Mas com certeza, sua missão com relação a preservação do Sistema havia sido cumprida tornando-o Mestre de Ving Tsun mais famoso dentro e fora da China,quando não,superado apenas pelo lendário "Punho de FatSan", Dr; Leeung Jaan seu Si Gung.

When Ip Man passed away, not only the Ving Tsun, but the entire martial arts community has lost a great martial artist and master. But sure, his mission  to preservation of the Ving Tsun system was accomplished making he the Master of Ving Tsun most famous inside and outside China, and when not, only surpassed only by the legendary "FatSan Fist", Dr; Leeung Jaan,who was his Si Gung.

Si Taai Gung Moy Yat(primeiro da direita p/ esq.) sempre foi muito ativo na participação de comitês organizadores na Família Kung Fu de seu Si Fu. Era assim em seus aniversários, foi assim na Fundação da Ving Tsun Atlhetic Association e infelizmente,também foi assim no funeral de seu Si Fu como vemos na foto.

Na foto acima vemos também Bruce Lee nesta imagem rara quando já era uma grande estrela que morreria apenas um ano depois prestando suas homenagens.

Bruce Lee não tinha a qualificação para transmitir o Ving Tsun em nome de seu Si Fu. Não era simplesmente uma questão de autorização.

Além disso é muito difícil de um Si Fu virar as costas para um discípulo, portanto cabe a nós refletirmos na próxima vez que lermos que Ip Man expulsou Bruce Lee da Família Kung Fu...

Bruce did not have qualification to teach Ving tsun under his Si Fu´s name. But the fact that he teached even this way, is not a reason for Ip Man turn his back for Bruce. So we have to think more when we read that Ip Man did like Bruce no more...

Muito antes da febre Ip Man que se instalou em 2007 e de um encontro que ocorrerá em Ip Man 2 entre Bruce e Ip Man nos cinemas. Ip Chun, o filho de Ip Man na vida real fez o papel de seu pai e contracenou com um ator que intepretava Bruce Lee voltando ao velho Mo Gun.

Before the Ip man fever on cinemas since 2007, Ip Chun played his father Ip man on the screen in a scene where he finds a Bruce Lee coming back to visit his old Mo Gun.

No ano que promete ser o "ano do Ving Tsun" no cinema de Hong Kong, mais uma produção sobre a vida do lendário mestre da arte IP MAN, já comentada AQUI.

Nesta produção veremos como Ip Man ganhou seus poderes numa espécie de "EPISÓDIO 0" ,ou seja, este filme entitulado "THE LEGEND IS BORN" se passará antes de "Ip Man O Filme"  que estreiou em solo asiatico em 2007  e que está em cartaz nos cinemas de São Paulo até o próximo Sábado.

O elenco é repleto de estrelas como Sammo Hung, que fará o papel de Chan Wah Shun que foi Mestre de Ip Man. Yuen Biao será Ng Chun Sok, o daai Si Hing da turma de Chan Wah Shun, que fica tambem responsável pelo Kung Fu do patriarca, e finalmente o filho de Ip Man na vida real IP CHUN, fará o papel de Leung Bik, filho de Leung Jaan que Ip Man encontra e tem seu Kung Fu completado por ele.

Por isso digo que neste filme Ip Chun terá um "Quê" de Mestre Yoda.

Acompanhe agora o empolgante trailer, no qual eu não fui muito com a cara do personagem de Ip Man, já que este se mostra bastante arrogante nas cenas!

In the year that promises to be the "year of Ving Tsun" in Hong Kong cinema, a production about the life of the legendary master of the art IP MAN, already mentioned HERE.


In the year that can be the "Ving Tsun Year" on cinemas, one more production about Ip Man's life, already posted HERE


In this production we see how Ip Man got his powers in a kind of "Episode 0", this movie titled "THE LEGEND IS BORN" is a story that happen before "Ip Man Original Movie" which premiered on Asian soil in 2007 and is  in theaters in Sao Paulo until next Saturday.
 
The cast is full of stars like Sammo Hung, who will play the role of Chan Wah Shun who was Master of Ip Man. Also Yuen Biao who plays Ng Chun Sok, the Chan Wah Shun class Daai Si Hing , and finally the son of Ip Man in real life IP CHUN, will play Leung Bik, son of  Leung Jaan, who met Ip Man in real life and has completed his kung fu .
 
So I say that in this movie Ip Chun's character is a kind of Master Yoda.
 
Follow now the exciting trailer, in which I did not like too much the character of Ip Man, as this proves quite arrogant in the scenes!

 Há poucos meses atrás abri meu e-mail, e lá estava um enviado por Si Gung Leo Imamura entitulado "Carta aos Discípulos". Quando o abri, vi que era bem maior do que ele costuma escrever geralmente,e quando comecei a ler,tive uma ótima surpresa...

 A few months ago I opened my email and there was one posted by Si Gung Leo Imamura, titled "Letter to the Disciples." When I opened it, saw it was much bigger than he usually writes often, and when I started reading, I had a great surprise ...

 O e-mail começava da seguinte forma:

"Caros Discípulos,
2010. Ano do Tigre. Era o signo do horóscopo chinês de Grão-Mestre Moy Yat, que nasceu em 1938.
Este ano estamos cumprindo 22 anos de existência e, como o tigre nos indica, será um ano de intensa atividade....
 ...Uma familia-kung fu atua num universo chamado mo lam e sua atuação é dentro do que chamamos de sociedade imanente. Isso significa que não há uma lei que normatize a família-kung fu. Os laços que unem seus membros é o do compromisso cerimonial. Portanto, não há lei que os obrigue a cumpri-los. É a consciência de cada um desses verdadeiros heróis marciais que vem mantendo as familias-kung fu de nossa linhagem unidas há 12 gerações.  "

The email began as follows:


"Dear Disciples,

2010. Year of the Tiger. It was the sign of the Chinese horoscope of Grand Master Moy Yat, who was born in 1938.
This year we have accomplished 22 years of existence and, like the tiger tells us, will be a year of intense activity ....

 ... A kung fu family acts in a universe called mo lam and its performance is within the society that we call immanent. This means that there is no law that will regulate the kung fu family. The ties that bind its members is the commitment ceremony. So there is no law that requires them to abide by them. It is the consciousness of each of these true heroes martial has been keeping kung-fu families  during our lineage for 12 generations. "

O email prosseguia de forma misteriosa:

"...O Sistema Ving Tsun é o grande patrimônio do nosso clã-kung fu. Através da Denominação Moy Yat Ving Tsun, esse compromentimento passou a caracterizar nossa linhagem, onde o provimento da Vida Kung Fu permite a identificar a importância do acesso pleno de um sistema de kung fu... "

E então finalmente:

"...A família-kung fu é uma organização patriarcal, fundamentada em três princípios:

   1. O  Registro Genealógico  (juk po 族譜), que estabelece a nossa história, a nossa identidade e o nosso senso de pertencimento;
   2. O Sistema de Kung Fu (hai tong 系統), que representa o seu patrimônio hereditário que deve ser cuidadosamente salvaguardado; e
   3. A Residência Marcial (mo gun 武館), local onde se preserva as nossas tradições, nossa famíla kung fu exerce a união e se desevolve como um centro de vanguarda..."

E ele completa:

"... Por fim, a residência marcial é o local de encontro e permanência dos membros da família-kung fu. Um local onde cada discípulo pode chamar de residência oficial com ambiência apropriada para a preservação das tradições e dos costumes da nossa familia...  "

The email goes  on in a mysterious way:
 

"... The Ving Tsun is the great heritage of our kung-fu clan . By  Moy Yat Ving Tsun Denomination, ensure the commitment that has come to characterize our line, where the provision of Kung Fu Life  allows to identify the importance of full access to a system of kung fu ... "
 

And then finally:


"... The family-kung fu is a patriarchal organization, founded on three principles:

   1. The Genealogical Registry (juk 族谱 gp), which establishes our history, our identity and our sense of belonging;
   2. The System of Kung Fu (hai tong 系统), which represents his birthright that must be carefully safeguarded, and
   3. Residence Marcial (mo gun 武馆), where it preserves our traditions, our family kung fu exercises union and Evolving as a center of cutting edge ... "


And he adds:


"... Finally, the martial residence is the meeting place and residence of kung-fu family members . A place where every student can call as the official residence with the appropriate ambience for the preservation of traditions and customs of our family. .. "

O e-mail falava então de alguns assuntos pertinentes aos discípulos, mas o que de fato chamava a atenção nele, era o comunicado, que a partir do dia 21 de Fevereiro, o Clã ganharia uma casa.

E foi o que aconteceu...

The email then spoke of some issues pertinent to the disciples, but what really drew my attention, was the statement that as on February 21, the Clan win a house.


And that's what happened ...

Carlos Antunes "Moy Shan Si", meu irmão Kung Fu que esteve presente na oportunidade acompanhando nosso Si Fu escreveu:

"Este local é diferente do Mo Gun onde se treina, pois teremos a chance de apreciar momentos com pessoas com as quais temos menos contato. Ainda que encontremos irmãos Kung Fu conhecidos, o ambiente diferente favorece uma relação igualmente diversa."

Carlos Antunes "Moy Shan Si," my young Kung Fu brother who attended the opportunity following our Si Fu wrote:
 

"This place is different of the Mo Gun , because we get to enjoy moments with people with whom we have less contact. Yet we find Kung Fu brothers  known, favors a different environment compared equally diverse."

 

Si Gung faz as reverências aos ancestrais para além de outras coisas, dizer de certa forma, que este momento só estava acontecendo graças ao esforço de muitos que vieram antes dele e de todos nós.

Si Gung  makes reverences to Moy Yat Clan ancestors to say  that this moment was just happening because  the efforts of many who came before him and all of us.

"...Foi ressaltado que a organização é pautada na relação familiar, por isso a importância do esforço em buscar a união dos membros da Família....Com isso, a Residência Oficial dos Discípulos tem intuito de reforçar o vínculo dos membros do Clã, resignificando a relação familiar, atualizando-a, respeitando-se a diversidade." escreveu Dorival Pereira Junior "Moy Bei Lei Na",escolhido na ocasião pessoalmente por Si Gung para secretariar o evento.

"... It was said that the organization is based in the KF family relationship, so the importance of the effort to seek the union of members of the family .... With this, the official residence of the Disciples has aimed to strengthen the bond of the members of Clan, reframing the family relationship, updating it, respecting diversity. " wrote Dorival Junior Pereira  "Moy Bei Lei Na", at the time chosen personally by Si Gung as the secretary for the event.

Thiago Silva que veste terno, foi outro dos meus irmãos Kung Fu que pôde acompanhar Si Fu neste dia. Ao seu lado está Si Sok Marcelo Abreu, que mais uma vez recebeu Si Fu e seus discípulos e Si Dais do Rio com muito carinho em SP.

Ainda segundo Carlos Antunes "Moy Shan Si": "O que mais marcou, com relação à residência oficial, foram as lembranças de épocas passadas, em Sao Paulo mesmo, onde o Nucleo Central abrigava praticantes de diversos estados do Brasil. Entre outras coisas, foi um momento no qual diversos praticantes puderam apreciar momentos únicos de intensa Vida Kung Fu."

Again according to Carlos Antunes "Moy Shan Si"(12G VT): "What more marked about the official residence, were the memories of past times, even in Sao Paulo, where the old MYVT South america Central Branch housed practitioners from several states of Brazil and countires of South America. Among other things, was a time when many practitioners were able to enjoy moments of intense Kung Fu Life. "

Portanto é com muito orgulho que agora os discípulos do Clã Moy Yat Sang poderão desfrutar de um local exclusivo para que tenham mais contato com praticantes de outras localidades, Si Baaks,Si Soks, e inclusive com o Si Gung. E algo muito bacana também, é que eles agora têm um lugar para chamar de casaemSãoPaulo....                                                                                               

So it is with great pride that now the disciples of the Moy Yat Sang clan can enjoy an exclusive place to have more contact with practitioners from other locations, Si Baaks , Si Soks, and even with Si Gung.  Quando conheci Marcos Leiras, estavamos em sua Cerimônia de Admissão na Família Moy Jo Lei Ou liderada por meu Si Fu Julio Camacho e pela sua esposa,minha Si Mo Daniela Camacho em 12 de Março de 2007.

Naquela oportunidade,durante a exibição das fotos de Leiras para apresentá-lo a Familia, existia uma foto dele fazendo um golpe com uma Katana,vestido com a roupa de treino numa paisagem linda. E eu imaginei que Leiras já deveria ter praticado outras artes antes do Ving Tsun. Mas o que eu não sabia mesmo,é que viveria duas grande aventuras ao seu lado ainda naquele ano:

When I met Marcos Leiras(12G VT), we were in his Admission Ceremony of the Family Moy Jo Lei Ou led by my Si Fu Julio Camacho(11G VT) and his wife, my Si Mo Daniela Camacho(11G VT) on March 12, 2007.

 At that time, during display of photos of Marcos Leiras to introduce him to our Kung Fu family, there was a picture of him doing a blow with a Katana, dressed in workout clothes in a beautiful landscape. And I thought Marcos should have practiced  others Martial Artes before the Ving Tsun. But I did not know  that I was going to live two great adventures with him later that year(Coming soon):

 Leiras nos dá um exemplo,muitas vezes até de forma divertida, do que é o amor quase que inocente pelas artes marciais.
Sua empolgação ao conversar sobre o tema, ao pensar em projetos e ao sair de sua casa para participar dos treinos e dos eventos sempre com muita paixão,nos faz querer chegar em sua idade tendo este tipo de coração apaixonado que ele tem.

Leiras gives us an example, often in a funny way, of what is an almost innocent love for martial arts.

His excitement when talking about the subject, to think about projects envolving Ving Tsun and to leave his house to participate in training or events and always with great passion, makes us want to get into his age with this kind of loving heart he has.

"A Cidade de São thomé das letras é uma cidade turística mineira em altitude de 1440 metros. As famosas "pedras são thomé" de lá são retiradas para o comércio.

Nas fotos enviadas foram fotografados movimentos do Siu Nim Tau, nas pedras tombadas no parque municipal, adjacente as construções da cidade.

A cidade foi construída nas pedras, diversas casas são feitas com as pedras são thomé, outras contém detalhes construtivos da mesma pedra...

" The City of São Tomé das Letras is a tourist city in Minas Gerais State in Brazil,with altitude of 1440 meters. The famous "stones of Tomé" are taken from there to trade.

In the photos sent I photographed movements of Siu Nim Tau,on  tumbled stones in the municipal park, adjacent to the buildings of the city.

The city was built on the rocks, many houses are made with the Tomé stones , some others contains  details of the same stone...

...A cidade recebe turistas mais intensamente nos feriados prolongados e fins de semana. Muitas pousadas e restaurantes para todos os gostos.
Grutas famosas, diversas cachoeiras; e, histórias e lendas da região, proporcionam o diferencial que atrai os apreciadores da natureza e da aventura.

A prática do Siu Nim Tau nas pedras, é um teste a habilidade corporal do equilíbrio. 
Pedras marginais e precipícios que por lá também existem fazem com que quase nunca se possa fazer uma sequência  mínima que seja, em cima de pedras,apenas movimentos com bastante cuidado, mantida uma base estática e em local o mais plano possível.

...The city receives more tourists in the intensely long holidays and weekends. Many inns and restaurants for all tastes.

Famous caves, many waterfalls, and, stories and legends of the region, make the difference that attracts nature  and adventure lovers.

 The practice of Siu Nim Tau on the rocks, is a test for the ability of body balance.

Marginal rocks and cliffs that there also exist make it almost never can do a minimal sequence that is, over rocks, only movements with great care, kept in a static base and the most local level possible.

Mas mesmo esse amor pelo Ving Tsun desse grande ator(um dos meus favoritos) chegou ao curioso fato de fazer com que ele colocasse uma clausula em todos os seus contratos que obrigasse o Estudio a custear  a permanencia de seu Si Fu nos sets de filmagem para que nao precisasse parar de treinar.

His love for Ving Tsun is so big nowadays, that he put in his contracts a clausule that makes the studio brings his Si Fu to train with him in the set. So , this way he does not loose classes!hehe

Acima vemos o ator treinando com seu Si Fu no set do divertidissimo filme 'Sherlock Holmes'.

No fundo parece que todos os personagens que o ator faz depois de Homem de Ferro sao o Tony Stark(alter ego do heroi)!rsrs Ou pelo menos tem o jeitao dele!
