CHI SAU AND KUNG FU LIFE IN A PARADISE CITY(CHI SAU E VIDA KUNG FU EM ARRAIAL)

Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not like to travel. But I made a special trip with my fiancee to Arraial do Cabo, in the Lakes Region of Rio de Janeiro. I had been there numerous times to work before opening the Mo Gun in Meier, but never to have fun, and what I experienced was unforgettable. beautiful scenery, lots of laughs, but a lot of that comes from having counted on the unconditional support of a younger Kung Fu brother ...

CHI SAU E VIDA KUNG FU EM ARRAIAL
CHI SAU AND KUNG FU LIFE IN A PARADISE CITY

... Rodrigo Moreira (photo),disciple of the Senior Master Julio Camacho like me.
Met for the very first time in College almost 15 years ago when I was complainnning That I could not find such a good book as "MUSASHI" by Eiji Yoshikawa and he heard, and  pointed me "Chronicles of Arthur" by Bernard Cornwell .. From then on we became inseparable friends reaching travel together like this show we saw in São Paulo (photo above).

Rodrigo's family attends Arraial city for three generations, and Rodrigo and his sister are components of the third. They have a very friendly house close to "Praia dos Anjos" (Angels Beach), but our tour started by  "Praia Grande" ("Big Beach" ,photo above), in which we enjoyed the unbelievable sunset  to do Chi Sau. even my poor fianceé, trying to spend time with me, had to share me with Kung Fu once again ...

In the picture above, you can see my Kung Fu brother Ailton regaling me with a book on The Art of War. I believe that the relationship between Kung Fu brothers called "Si Hing-Dai," should not be based on "barter" - "I give you this and you give me that in return" - But as a two-way route in which Si Hing (older brother) does not take advantage of the younger brother.
It may be offered a red envelope (Hung baau) or better yet, younger Kung Fu Brother (Si Dai), have such careful attention to his Si Hing, because he understands that it happens in the opposite way through Kung Fu that is shared .
My Si Fu Julio Camacho sometimes spoke of his greatest patrimony is the Kung Fu, and this is what he has been sharing with us for so many years ...

Rodrigo let us for a walk all over Arraial do Cabo city . He  is a walker by nature. At the end of walking around town, we stop at "Praia dos Anjos"(Angels Beach) in the night, and it was a moment to Chi Sau in the hard sand at the edge of the sea.
While practicing, I wondered if Rodrigo's grandfather when he got there, or even his mother and father when they were dating at that beach in the 70's, dreamed that one day his grandson and son would be practicing Chi Sau there ....

(Rodrigo and I in "Pontal Hill" to watch one of the greatests sunsets in Brazil)

Despite those well taken these wonderful landscapes photos, my idea was never pose for pictures with Rodrigo doing Chi Sau. But somehow, repay all the love and attention he gave us every day that we were there. Often including his own family that care for us through Kung Fu.

I think compared to the trips we do as friends with friends (photo), we grown a lot thanks to family ties that Kung Fu Life provides. And that is priceless.

Visiting Si Fu´s house:[Visita a casa do Si Fu:]

With silly face and thinner, too tangled up in college and also very happy. I made my Baai Si on a Saturday night in May 26, 2007 (photo). Among those who participated in this ceremony that the Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou considered the most important moment in a career of a practitioner of Kung Fu, Was my dear Kung Fu younger brother (Si Dai) Vladimir Anchieta (photo).
I heard the term "YAP SAT DAI JI" the first time in the early 2000s during a lecture Si  Gung at the Hotel Florida in the South Zone of Rio. At the time, I was praticing the  Cham Kiu, I was very concerned with this term, and over the years, I realized that: Yap Sat Dai Ji is the "Disciple who enters the room."
A disciple (Dai Ji) that has access to a "room" that no one else has. But not because he is special or technically better than the others, but because he is close to his Si Fu.
Si Gung also told once, many years ago, that he used to sat next to his Si Fu Moy Yat as he watched television eating soup or eating something without saying anything, for minutes or hours. But Si  Gung  says vehemently, just being close to his Si Fu, was already learning. Even if nothing was said, the learning was being passed.
Also, we could cite the very Chan Wah Shun, who took over the pharmacy of Leung Jaan when he withdrew, or own Si Taai Gung Moy yat who took care of his Si Fu Ip Man when he became ill and several disciples and students went away.
So today, I believe the "YAP SAT DAI JI" is not a "ranking", but a condition that will be maintained or not conform life goes ....

Visita a casa do Si Fu:
Visiting Si Fu´s house:

To this day, I entered four houses of which my Si Fu(photo) ever lived. In the first two I only used to visit him when I had a problem: "Hello Si Fu! Can I go there?" - It was common for this type of calling . In the last one and at this apartament now, I have some pride to have visited only because of Kung Fu and not for personal reasons. I do not believe you can not search for him in difficult times, but its hard to understand a little better the nature of this relationship and how to enjoy the moments with him. I credit my better understanding to the openning of MYVT Meier School, who helped me get the focus of my problems when I realized there were more people to look after.
I understand more and more how to take better care of them, I end up taking care of me too.

Guilherme Farias, Marcelo Ormond and Claudio Teixeira had a meeting with Si Fu at his residence already. Each had a different subject matter. I, who had taken breakfast in the morning with him hours before I was invited as well Glauco Gavioli.
When we arrived at his home talked a bit about the new management being implemented in the Schools directed by the Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou and I could met the daughters of my Si Fu again: Jade and Julia (the first being the oldest).

We chose to go downstairs to the common area of the building and Marcelo Ormond stayed in the apartment repairing Si Fu´s pinball machine.I coordinated a practice of Cham Kiu between Glauco and Gui and Si Fu was talking to the Claudio Teixeira. At one point Si Fu (photo) came to observe how the job was running, and made some comments in addition to practicing a bit with Glauco. No doubt a special moment.

Si Fu helps his disciple,  Glauco Gavioli to better understand the "Seung Siu Sau" ("Answer with two hands") from Chi Sau of Cham Kiu. Guilherme watched carefully and I preferred to register for the Glauco who contributed taking photos to the clan, can have his moments also eternalized.
A Si Fu does not have to be typecast in the feeling of doing nothing and just say catchphrases, or a Si Fu being active all the time, does not leave "emptyness" to be filled by his followers. Knowing the exactly quantitate of these "appearances" , verbal or physically, is very difficult. So when the student (To Dai) practices with an older Kung Fu Brother(Si Hing) or his " Younger Kung Fu Uncle" (Si Suk) it allows the Si Fu -To Dai (Master -Disciple) is sheltered and that at a time like this registered in the picture, has a much greater impact than it would if the fact of doing practices with his Si Fu,  was common for Glauco.
E existiu nosso grupo naquela tarde (foto).

There are disciples who never or rarely meet the Si Fu. They remain disciples, but as Si Fu once said: "... Kung Fu is at the Mo Gun ..." - There are disciples who attend Mo Gun, but as I heard Si Fu once say once to a  To Dai: "we never eat lunch together is important for us to see more each other, even outside of the Mo Gun ...."
And there was our group that afternoon (photo). No one in this picture entered any room in  addition to other people there. But the disciple who does not attend the Mo Gun, the one who attends at least t is a "YAP SAT DAI JI" to the first. For us who were in the house of our Si Fu,we  are "YAP SAT DAI JI" for those who just attend the Mo Gun ... - There may be several layers of this relationship, but for me it has been important to understand that sometimes you want to spend time with your Si Fu and must not or can not. Further, you want, you can, but should not, perhaps because of a urgency. Other times, you wanted, you should, but can no longer do it.
Therefore, I believe in the importance of  think once more beyond the first tought which is usually an excuse not to go.. Because who knows that second thought, you find out  you wanted to, you can do it and you even should  do it. Explore further this relationship ...

The night also featured an  championship  of "Just Dance" organized by little Julia (photo) .. hehe We sweat as we danced hits like "What a Feeling" from the movie "Flashdance" ..lol It had much more things to be told from before, during and after this moment, but these stories I tell in person, maybe one day, in my house ...

SENIOR MASTER JULIO CAMACHO PREPARES TWO NEW MASTERS IN RIO

After a long time, PEARTREE'S BLOG is back with a super important news, which is next Saturday event: The First Qualified Master Ceremony of the Twelfth Generation from Moy Yat Line in Latin America.
On that occasion, I and my Si Hing Leonardo Reis will receive this honor from our Si Fu Julio Camacho, thus beginning a new journey, a new cycle with many new responsibilities to beyond ourselves.
The Qualification next Saturday, makes the Family Moy Jo Lei Ou led by Si Fu, becomes a Clan. On Meier School, that I run next to André Almeida "Moy Mei Da", everything remains the same for now. But when it happens the first ceremony of my future Family Kung Fu, some changes will occur in the structure of the school, but for now, starting next Monday, Meier  and Barra School will have new Masters acting on them.

Over the past months, we had talk with members of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun from Barra and Meier School, as well as other schools that are not under the responsibility of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, on the importance of this event. And to be honest, even I could not conceive the importance of this qualification yet  and the  honor to be part of it. But I can say by now, it is about having clear that although he was not directly involved, be present as MYVT member would be of paramount importance, not for any obligations, but to make sure that even that I do not understand well all size and ramifications of the night of the next Saturday, that this event can already be history.

Si Fu honors MYVT Meier School : A New Disciple in the House

(I Visita Oficial de Si Fu Julio Camacho ao Núcleo Méier)
(I Official Visit of Si Fu Julio Camacho to MYVT Meier School)

When Si Fu visited the MYVT Meier School for the very first time (photo), or at least the empty room where it was going to be opened a few months later, he honored us with his presence; For long before, I had listened from himself, that most of consent proves that a Si fu could give to the work of a disciple, was attending his Mo Gun. When Si Fu came through that door, I knew I had ... But I never imagined that the Meier School would remain so honored and prestigious by him ...

Si Fu honors MYVT Meier School :
A New Disciple in the House

Last Saturday, exactly 19 years after his Baai Si, 23 May 1996. Si Fu receives Ailton Jordao (photo) as his twenty-third disciple in a very exciting ceremony for all present people.
Ailton Jordao becomes a descendant of Ving Tsun in lifelong character from now. His mission is to honor the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Denomination and preserve this system for future generations. But so important as this, is to take care of his Si Fu.
That Saturday night, again I witnessed what Si Fu says that "when one is promoted, all are with him." Since Ailton s Baai Si was also another honor received by the MYVT Meier School, where he is based.
In the last six months are already 4 new disciples formed at MYVT Meier School. With this, we now have a school of Twelfth Generation of Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Latin America with 6 active disciples.
Ailton joins now not only me, but also to: Lucky, Fabiosa, André and Rodrigo, as disciples of Si Fu Julio Camacho in Meier School in that neighborhood.
(Ailton with his beloved family frozen in a special moment with Si Fu in a official photo)

Si Fu will thereby fostering his way as a Family leader trough a bright and subtle way, building more and more foundations for the future. And I'm very happy to be part of that process as the director of MYVT Meier School, but primarily as the disciple number 2.
I hope Lucky, Fabiosa, Andre, Rodrigo and Ailton, who becomes the disciple number 23, understand their importance in "Mo Lam".
Thank Si Fu and for Ailton Congratulations!
