VING TSUN GENEALOGY AT MYVT MEIER SCHOOL (GENEALOGIA DO VING TSUN NO NUCLEO MEIER)

Já faz um bom tempo que ao conversar comigo , Si Gung fala sobre a importância de entendermos que a vivência do Kung Fu não se restringe a prática corporal apenas. O que chamamos de "Treino"...  Na verdade, a idéia de repetição no Kung Fu não permite ao praticante que ele tenha a tomada de consciência referente a experiência que acabou de vivenciar. Essa experiência segundo Si Gung, pode ser vivida de várias formas, por isso na última semana, juntamos os membros do Núcleo Méier para uma experiência referente a Genealogia.

It's been a long time that Si Gung talks about the importance of understanding the experience of Kung Fu as something not restricted just to practice trough the body. What we call "training" ... In fact, the idea of ​​repetition in Kung Fu does not allow the practitioner  has the awareness regarding the experience they had just experienced. This experience according Si Gung, can be lived in many ways, so last week, we joined members of the MYVT Meier School for an experience related to Genealogy.

Esse momento aconteceu por duas vezes: A primeira na noite de Segunda-feira, e o outro momento ocorreu na manhã de Sábado. Nas duas ocasiões, um material em power point falando sobre a Genealogia de nossa Linhagem que fazia uso dos Kuen Kuit elaborados por Si Taai Gung Moy Yat foi apresentado.

Those moments happened twice: The first one, on the night of Monday, the other moment occurred on Saturday morning. On both occasions, a material made in power point about the genealogy of our Lineage  using the Kuen Kuit prepared by Si Taai Gung Moy Yat was presented.

A Genealogia em pedra foi eternizada por Si Taai Gung Moy Yat e Kong Chi Nam a pedido de Patriarca Ip Man. Uma cópia dos carimbos encontra-se num quadro no Méier e juntos fomos procurando alguns ideogramas relevantes ao que era mostrado.

The Genealogy was immortalized by Si Taai Gung Moy Yat and Kong Chi Nam in stone at the request of Patriarch Ip Man. A copy of the stamps is in a framework in MYVT Meier School and together we went looking for some relevant  characters that was shown during the presentation.

Também foram exibidos dois episódios do programa "Diálogos Marciais" produzidos por Si Baak Nataniel entre outros, nos quais Si Gung falava sobre a importância da Genealogia para o praticante e como ela pode ser encarada através de uma perspectiva não histórica.

Two episodes of "Martial Dialogues" program produced by Si Baak Nathaniel among others, in which 
Si Gung spoke about the importance of genealogy for the practitioner and how it can be tackled by an ahistorical perspective were also displayed.

Juntos também assistimos a uma versão legendada por nós do vídeo "Reminder"(FOTO) de Si Taai Gung Moy Yat . Representante da nona geração de nossa Linhagem.

Quando surgia uma dúvida referente ao vídeo, debatíamos e por vezes fazíamos o movimento ali na hora para que alguns dos presentes pudessem vivenciar algumas das proposições de Si Taai Gung Moy Yat neste vídeo.

Every time when there was a question regarding the video, we debated and sometimes we made the move there  for some of the guys experience some of the propositions of Si Taai Gung Moy Yat in this video.

Ao final, todos puderam deixar algumas palavras sobre como foi a experiência de tomar contato com essa linhagem que contando conosco chega a doze gerações. Muitos citaram o fato de se sentirem com muita sorte por estarem vivendo esse processo. Outros falaram do quão grandiosa é esta genealogia e da importância de preservá-la para as próximas gerações...

At the end, everyone could leave a few words about how the experience of taking contacting with this lineage reaches to twelve generations counting on us. Many cited the fact that they feel very lucky to be living this process. Others spoke of how great this genealogy is and the importance of preserving it for future generations ...

Porém, todos concordaram na importância das foto serem de Família. Ou seja, são fotos nas quais Si Fu aparece nestes locais históricos durante algumas de suas viagens a China e Hong Kong a fim exatamente de compartilhar este conhecimento.
Para todos ficou claro, o quanto foi importante o esforço pessoal de Si Fu ao estar nestes locais para que, segundo Clayton Quintino por exemplo, pudéssemos por um momento sentir que estes locais são mais próximos, pelo simples fato do Si Fu ter estado presente neles...

However, all agreed on the importance of being a family photo. Ie are pictures in which Si Fu appears in these sites from some of his trips to China and Hong Kong in order to share this knowledge.

Si Fu por várias vezes citou Grão-Mestre Moy Yat, quando ele dizia que a diferença entre amar alguém e zelar por alguém, era que você pode dizer para alguém "Eu te amo", mas você não pode dizer "Eu te zelo". Por isso, Si Taai Gung Moy Yat dizia, segundo Si Fu, que o zelo "É o amor em movimento". É uma atenção cuidadosa constante para com a outra pessoa. 
Muitas vezes pensamos que "zelar" é ser bonzinho com o outro. Mas na lógica chinesa, principalmente no Mo Lam(武林), que é o nome dado ao Círculo Marcial chinês, cuidar muitas vezes é se afastar, muitas vezes é nada fazer...  Porém outras vezes é buscar meios da relação brotar. Como na relação Si Fu - To Dai.
A relação Si Fu - To Dai nasce aos poucos, e para ser mantida e cultivada é necessário afinco do 
To Dai. 
Mas se você quer saber minha opinião, exatamente pela relação Si Fu - To Dai se basear no 
Mo Lam(武林). Essa relação não é como as outras, ela não morre. Porque se você decidir por um minuto começá-la , melhorá-la ou retomá-la. Bem provavelmente você conseguirá. Porque do outro lado estará o seu Si Fu, alguém com Kung Fu suficiente para esperar o seu tempo certo pras coisas, pois esta é uma relação desequilibrada e por isso infinita...

Si Fu sometimes quotes Grand Master Moy Yat , when he said that the difference between loving someone and care for someone. Was that you can tell someone "I love you " , but you can not say " I' zeal for you " . Therefore , Si Taai Gung Moy Yat said , according to Si Fu , that zeal " It is love in motion." It is a constant careful attention to the other person .

Nesse último sábado, dia 22 de fevereiro de 2014, durante o almoço, o praticante Pedro Ivo, do Núcleo Barra, foi convidado pelo Si Fu Júlio Camacho para se tornar um dos membros vitalícios da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou. Atualmente, esse é um evento intimista, contanto com alguns praticantes especialmente convidados pelo futuro discípulo.

In this last Saturday, February 22, 2014, during lunch, the practitioner Pedro Ivo, from MYVT Barra School in Rio, was invited by Si Fu Julio Camacho to become a lifetime member of the Family Moy Jo Lei Ou. Currently, this is an intimate event, subject to some practitioners specially invited by the prospective disciple.

Eu estava um pouco ausente quando Pedro Ivo começou seus treinos, então foi uma grande surpresa quando, alguns dias antes, recebi um telefonema me convidando para estar presente nesse momento tão especial.
Aproveitei, o convite para dar uma passada no Mo Gun, treinar e matar a saudade, só que, por alguns motivos que dariam uma história a parte, depois de acordar as 05:00h da manhã só consegui chegar na Barra da Tijuca às 11:00h, depois de passar por pelo menos 12 bairros cariocas.
Si Hing Vlad, Pedro Ivo e eu estudamos um pouco a natureza do Cham Kiu, conversando com o Si Fu sobre assuntos tão diversos quanto Confúcio e Nelson Rodrigues. Enquanto isso Si Sok Felipe conduzia os trabalhos de Ving Tsun Experience em outro ambiente.
O calor estava tão forte que Pedro Ivo achou melhor dar uma passada em casa e tomar banho antes do almoço. Assim eu e Si Hing Vlad nos juntamos ao grupo do Ving Tsun Experience. Pouco tempo depois, nos arrumamos e fomos ao Barra Shopping para o evento do dia.
O restaurante marcado foi o Delírio Tropical, mas ele estava tão cheio que tornava nossa conversa impossível. Pedro Ivo sugeriu, então, o Applebee's, que realmente estava mais silencioso e adequado ao momento. Sentaram à mesa Si Fu Julio Camacho, Pedro Ivo, sua namorada Lívia e seu irmão Pedro Igor, Si Sok Felipe Soares, Guilherme Farias, Pedro Correa e eu. Com oito pessoas à mesa, o almoço não poderia ser mais auspicioso.

I was a little absent when Pedro Ivo began his practice in the Family , so it was a big surprise when a few days before I received a call inviting me to be present at that moment so special .
I took the invitation to stop by the  Mo Gun , and train  , except that, for some reasons that would give a story to share, after waking up 05:00 in the morning I could only get in Barra da Tijuca  11 : 00h after going trough at least 12 neighborhoods .
Si Hing Vlad , Pedro Ivo and I studied a little bit the nature of Cham Kiu , chatting with Si Fu on subjects as diverse as Confucius and Nelson Rodrigues . Meanwhile Si Sok Felipe coordinated Ving Tsun Experience in another room .
The weather was so hot that Pedro Ivo thought it best to stop by at home and take a shower before lunch . So I and Si Hing Vlad joined in the Ving Tsun Experience group. Shortly thereafter , packed up and went to Barra Shopping for the event of the day .
The restaurant was  Delirium Tropical , but he was so full that made our conversation impossible . Pedro Ivo then suggested Applebee's , which was actually quieter and appropriate to the moment . Sat at the table Si Fu Julio Camacho , Pedro Ivo , his girlfriend Livia and his brother Pedro Igor , Si Sok Felipe Soares , Guilherme Farias , Pedro Correa and me. With eight people at the table , lunch could not be more auspicious

Conversamos bastante até que Si Fu pediu que eu contasse um pouco sobre minha experiência como discípulo. Fico bastante à vontade com esse tipo de pedido, pois não há intenção direta de transmissão, apenas uma sincera troca de experiências e, assim, pude lembrar de muitos bons momentos.

Guilherme também contribuiu apontando os tópicos de sua própria experiência que achava relevantes, bem como Si Sok Felipe que, como discípulo de Si Gung Leo Imamura, pode compartilhar uma experiência de compromisso essencialmente semelhante, mas de aparência muito diferente.

Finalmente, no momento mais emocionante do dia, Si Fu convidou diretamente Pedro Ivo para integrar a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou como membro vitalício e, após a resposta, recebeu das mãos de seu futuro discípulo uma réplica do primeiro uniforme tricolor do time do Fluminense.

We talked a lot until Si Fu asked me to tell a little about my experience as a disciple. I'm quite comfortable with that type of application since there is no direct intention of transmission, just a sincere exchange of experiences and thus could remember many good times. 

Guilherme also contributed pointing the topics of his own experience that felt relevant and Si Sok Felipe who, as a disciple of Si Gung Leo Imamura, can share an experience essentially similar commitment, but in a very different appearance. 

Finally, the most exciting moment of the day, Si Fu  directly invited Pedro Ivo to join the Family Moy Jo Lei Ou as a  lifetime member, and after the response , Si Fu received from the hands of his future disciple a replica of the first  uniform of Fluminense Soccer Team.

Nesse ponto é muito interessante observar uma relação Si Fu / To Dai verdadeira, pois ninguém além deles dois é capaz de entender tudo o que estava envolvido na entrega daquele presente. É essa singularidade que torna cada praticante verdadeiramente especial, pois, sendo a Família Kung Fu uma entidade orgânica, a mera presença ou ausência de qualquer pessoa afeta de forma notável a história que é escrita diariamente.

Agradeço ao Pedro Ivo pelo convite e pela oportunidade de estar presente em um momento tão importante de sua história e da história da própria Família Kung Fu que integro. Agradeço ao Si Hing Pereira pelo oportunidade de escrever e compartilhar com todos aquele momento tão especial que passamos naquela tarde.

At this point it is very interesting to observe a true relation Si Fu / To Dai , because no one but the two of them is able to understand all that was involved in the delivery of that gift. It is this uniqueness that makes it truly special to the practitioner, then, being the Kung Fu Family an organic entity, the mere presence or absence of any person affects in a remarkable way the story is written daily. 

Pedro Ivo thanked for the invitation and for the opportunity to be present at such an important in its history and the history of his own Kung Fu family to which I belong now. I thank to Si Hing Pereira for the opportunity to write and share with all of you that special moment that we spent that afternoon.

Quando eu penso em 26 de Maio de 2007(foto) me vem muita coisa à cabeça. Porque é impressionante como a vida muda tanto em tão pouco tempo. Mas talvez este dia nada significasse para mim, se não fosse um marco , o mais importante, na minha jornada dentro do Ving Tsun: O dia do meu "Baai Si".
Baai Si(拜師) é a união de dois ideogramas que significam "Reverenciar o Mestre". Trata-se de uma Cerimônia na qual você oferece chá para seu Si Fu, e quando este o bebe, vocês criam um vínculo vitalício. Além disso , durante o Baai Si(拜師), você realiza o "Kau Tau"(KowTow) [磕頭]. Que significa "Tocar a cabeça".
Este é um movimento no qual você toca suas duas mãos, seus dois joelhos e sua cabeça três vezes ao solo, demonstrando ao Si Fu e aos presentes sua total e absoluta confiança nele. Pois você está oferecendo sua cabeça.


When I think of May 26, 2007 (photo) comes to many things to mind . Because it is amazing how life changes so much in so little time. But perhaps this day meant nothing to me, if was not a landmark, the most important one in my journey within the Ving Tsun: The day of my "Baai Si". 
Baai Si(拜師) is the union of two characters that mean "revere the Master." This is a ceremony in which you offer tea to your Si Fu, and when he drinks it, you create a lifelong bond. Moreover, during the Baai Si(拜師), you realize the (KowTow) [磕頭]. Meaning "Touching the head." 
This is a movement in which you put both hands, your two knees and your head to the ground three times, showing the Si Fu and people your total and absolute confidence in him. Because you are offering your head.

A cena abaixo é da novela de 2007 chamada "Wing Chun", onde o ator e Si Fu de Ving Tsun na vida real, Philip Ng interpreta o ancestral de nossa linhagem Chan Wah Shun (Si Fu de Ip Man). Nesta cena tocante, com uma trilha de fundo que até hoje não me conformo de não ter achado, mostra o momento do Baai Si de Chan Wahn Shun(Philip Ng) com Leung Jaan (Yuen Biao).

The scene below is the 2007 series called "Wing Chun", where actor and Si Fu in real life, Philip Ng plays the ancestral of our lineage Chan Wah Shun (Si Fu of Ip Man). In this touching scene, shows the moment of Baai Si of Chan Wah Shun (Philip Ng) with Leung Jaan (Yuen Biao).

Na cena acima, vemos que o casamento do filho mais novo de Leung Jaan, Leung Chun, é interrompido para que aconteça o Baai Si. Na verdade isso é muito comum: Aproveitar ocasiões especialíssimas para tal.

In the scene above, we see that during the marriage of the youngest son of Leung Jaan, Leung Chun, stops to happen the Baai Si. Actually this is very common: Getting very special occasions for such.

Por isso, que Claudio Teixeira realizou o  "Kau Tau"(KowTow) [磕頭] (como vemos na foto) em sua Cerimônia de Baai Si que ocorreu no último dia 30 de Novembro durante o aniversário de Si Fu.
Em nosso Clã, as 3 reverências não são feitas diretamente ao Si Fu, mas sim a mesa ancestral, como vemos na foto.

Therefore, Claudio Teixeira did the (KowTow) [磕頭] (as seen in photo) in his Baai Si ceremony that took place last November 30 during the birthday of Si Fu. 
In our clan, the 3 bows are not made directly to Si Fu, but the to the ancestor table, as shown in photo.

A partir daquele momento, Claudio Teixeira inscrevia seu nome numa Linhagem ininterrupta de doze gerações a contar com ele. Mas para chegar até ali, ele precisou de uma pessoa: Seu Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人).

From that moment, Claudio Teixeira inscribed his name in an unbroken lineage of twelve generations including him. But to get there, he needed a person: His Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人).

Na cena abaixo, observe como o péssimo ator e cantor Nicolas Tse, que interpreta o filho mais velho de Leung Jaan, Leung Bik, na mesma novela, intercede a favor de Chan Wah Shun(Philip Ng) para que seu pai Leung Jaan(Yuen Biao) o aceite como discípulo:

In the scene below, notice how the bad actor and singer Nicolas Tse, who plays the eldest son of Leung Jaan, Leung Bik, in the same series, intercedes on behalf of Chan Wah Shun (Philip Ng) to his father Leung Jaan (Yuen Biao) acceptance him as a disciple:

Leung Bik(Nicolas Tse) chama Chan Wah Shun(Philip Ng) por seu apelido de "Jaau Chin Wah" (Wah, o trocador de dinheiro") e diz a ele se não quer fazer "Baai Si". Porém Leung Bik (Nicolas Tse) não o deixa ajoelhar antes de pegar chá.

Leung Bik (Nicolas Tse) calls Chan Wah Shun (Philip Ng) by his nickname "Jaau Chin Wah" (Wah the money changer ") and ask him if  does not want to" Baai Si. " But Leung Bik (Nicolas Tse) does not let him kneel before taking tea.

 Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人) siginifica "apresentador". É a pessoa que vai te apresentar a Família e te conduzir até o momento de seu Baai Si. Claudio Teixeira, não poderia ter escolhido melhor. Seu  Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人). é ninguém menos que o membro mais antigo da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, e também o discípulo número 1 de Si Fu: Si Hing Leo Reis(foto).

Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人) simply means "introducer". It is the person who will introduce you to the kung fu family and drive you to the time untill the moment of your Baai Si . 
Claudio Teixeira, could not have chosen better. His Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人).. is none other than the oldest member of the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, and also the number 1 disciple Si Fu : Si Hing Leo Reis (photo).

Claudio Teixeira ganhou seu nome Kung Fu, a ser inscrito em nossa árvore Genealógica apenas alguns meses depois durante a última Cerimônia da Família Moy Lin Mah. Acompanhe suas palavras sobre este momento:
"Ontem durante a Cerimônia de Acesso ao Sistema Ving Tsun e Admissão na Família Moy Lin Mah do Clã Moy Yat Sang o Si Fu Moy Jo Lei Ou me agraciou com meu nome Kung fu, Moy Kat Jo,em complemento ao meu Baai Si ocorrido em 30 de novembro de 2013."

Claudio Teixeira earned his Kung Fu Name, to be entered in our Genealogy Tree just a few months later during the lastest ceremony of the Moy Lin Mah Family. 
Read his words on this point: 
"Yesterday during the ceremony to Access the Ving Tsun System  and Admission on Family Moy Lin Moy Mah of Moy Yat Sang Clan. Si Fu Moy Jo Lei Ou has given me my Kung Fu Name, Moy Kat Jo, in addition to my Baai Si occurred in November 30, 2013. "

"Moy Ka Jo" (梅吉祖) possui 3 ideogramas: "Moy"(梅) o nome de Família dado a Cláudio por Si Fu. E "Ka Jo"(吉祖) que reúne os ideogramas Ka(吉) de "sorte" e "Jo"(祖) de "Ancestral" como em "Moy Jo Lei Ou" o nome de nosso Si Fu.

"Moy Ka Jo" (梅吉祖) has 3 characters:  "Moy"(梅), the Family name given to him by Si Fu. And "Ka Jo"(吉祖) that reunites two characters: Ka(吉) "Lucky" and  "Jo"(祖) from "Ancestor" like in our Si Fu´s name: Moy Jo Lei Ou.

O que Cláudio não sabe, é que o desejo de Si Fu  para tê-lo como discípulo, e o estudo sobre seu nome vem de longa data. Para ser mais preciso de 2009(foto) durante viagem de Si Fu a China, quando ele tinha em mãos o nome de 4 pessoas das quais apenas 3 se tornaram discípulas. Seus nomes Kung Fu estavam escolhidos, mas curiosamente, o de Cláudio foi o único que mudou...  Por que será?
Eu cheguei a traduzir pois meu chamou a atenção , mas agora que Claudio tem o seu nome Kung Fu oficialmente, creio que seja desnecessário...

What Claudio does not know, is that the desire of Si Fu to have him as an disciple, and the study on  his Kung Fu Name comes from longtime ago. To be more precise, 2009 (photo) during the trip of Si Fu to China, when he had in hand the name of 4 persons of which only 3 have become disciples. Their names were already choosen , but interestingly, the Claudio's was the only one who has changed ... Why ? 
I translated it, but now that Claudio has his name officially , I think it unnecessary ...

Este foi o abraço que ganhei de Si Sok Ursula no meu aniversário surpresa em 2010. Mas de todas as vezes que nos abraçamos, no dia 26 de Maio de 2007, dia do meu Baai Si. Talvez tenha ganhado o abraço mais importante dela que é minha Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人) . Porque ao me abraçar depois do Baai Si,
Si Sok disse: "Parabéns Pereira... Agora é pra sempre!"

This was the hug I got from Si Sok Ursula during my surprise birthday in 2010. But between every time we hug each other, on May 26, 2007, the day of my Baai Si .Perhaps I won the most importanthug from her who is also my Gaai Siu Yan (介紹人).. Because while hugging me after Baai Si, 
Si Sok said: "Congratulations Pereira ... Now is forever!"

Há 10 anos atrás eu ajudava Si Fu(foto) durante um estudo proposto por ele sobre os conteúdos do Siu Nim Tau na noite do dia 31 de Março. 

O Mo Gun estava cheio porque era Si Fu quem estava coordenando diretamente o trabalho. Com o passar dos anos, sua figura foi ganhando cada vez mais peso entre nós ao mesmo tempo que praticantes como eu viravam veteranos. E observando isso, Si Fu foi deixando o espaço aberto para que nós, membros antigos fossemos ocupando estes lugares e obtendo uma posição de liderança.

Uma vez Si Fu falou que gostaria de contar com um Mo Gun de Generais e não de soldados. 

Porém hoje, não sei se é mais difícil você ser a pessoa a tomar a frente, ou se sendo você aquele que tomou a frente, mobilizar demais pessoas a fazer o mesmo...

A tarde era de sol quando descemos para continuar aquele encontro sobre o Ving Tsun Experience coordenado pelo Mestre Felipe Soares, meu Si Sok, agora ao ar livre. Foi uma grande oportunidade para membros de diferentes Núcleos e Famílias formarem duplas para o estudo desse conteúdo exclusivo da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. Na foto estamos eu e Phillipe Linhares, membro da Família Moy Ke Lo Si enquanto eu sou da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou.

The afternoon was sunny when we went down to continue that meeting on the Ving Tsun Experience coordinated by Master  Felipe Soares, my Si Sok, now outdoors. It was a great opportunity for members of different Branches of MYVT in our City and different Families to make pairs to the study of this unique content of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. In the photo above are myself and Phillipe Linhares, member of Moy Ke Lo Si Family, while Im from the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family.

Os praticantes foram divididos em trios onde um era o mobilizado, um segundo mobilizava o primeiro diretamente. E o terceiro, sem contato, tinha uma visão geral para uma mobilização indireta através do segundo.

The practitioners were divided into trios where one was mobilized, a second directly mobilized the first. And the third, non-contact, had an overall vision for an indirect mobilization through the second person.

Si Gung tem batido muito na tecla sobre nos encontrarmos para discutirmos, debatermos e praticarmos juntos. Si Gung sempre fala que temos praticantes com experiência suficiente para tal. E é isso que Si Sok Felipe está fazendo de maneira mais formal com o Ving Tsun Experience.
Quando eu, um fã de Bruce Lee(foto), vejo suas fotos antigas. Também sinto falta dessa vontade de praticar a qualquer hora, não por compromisso, mas simplesmente por prazer, como ele parecia fazer...

Si Gung are always talkin'bout we meet each other to discuss, discuss and practice together. Si Gung always speak with practitioners who have enough experience to do so. And that is what Si Sok Felipe is doing more formally with the Ving Tsun Experience. 
When I, a fan of Bruce Lee (photo), see his old photos.  I also miss the will to practice anytime, not for compromise, but simply for pleasure, as he seemed to do ...

Si Fu, que esteve com Si Taai Gung Moy Yat muitas vezes quando este ainda vivia. Sempre citava uma fala sua, que tive a oportunidade de ouvir mais de uma vez. Segundo ele, Si Taai Gung Moy Yat dizia que o praticante deveria fazer o Siu Nim Tau apenas quando desse vontade. Mas para dar vontade, ele deveria fazer todos os dias.

Si Fu, who has been with Si Taai Gung Moy Yat often while he yet lived. His often quoted a line by him, I had the opportunity to hear more than once. He said that Si Taai Gung Moy Yat said that the practitioner should do Siu Nim Tau only when he wants to. But to wants to, he should do every day.

 A iniciativa de Si Sok Felipe Soares para com os demais membros do Clã com esses Encontros sobre o Ving Tsun Experience, pode ser entendida através de uma passagem do Capítulo II do "Meng Zi": "Não se deve nem atacar as plantas para fazê-las crescer mais depressa(imagem de uma ação direta). Nem deixar de limpar à sua volta para ajudá-las a brotar(por um condicionamento favorável)".

But Si Sok Felipe Soares, with this initiative, is putting into action this advice from Si Taai Gung Moy Yat through these meetings. He is creating a potential study for those interested  seek more about it. You need to start the process to relying on itself, it becomes natural. 
  The initiative by Si Sok Felipe Soares towards other clan members to these meetings on the Ving Tsun Experience, can be understood through a passage of Chapter II of "Meng Zi": "One should not attack the plants to make them grow faster (image of a direct action). Nor fail to clean around it to help them to sprout (for a favorable conditioning). "

Oito anos depois a mesma cena se repete de forma espontânea , na qual Pedro Freire(foto), o aniversariante da vez, corta o bolo com uma fatia maior que o necessário observado por mim que também acho graça.
Pedro completou 17 anos na última Quarta, e por iniciativa de seu Si Dai, ou seja, irmão Kung Fu mais novo , Alexandre Ribeiro, foi organizada uma celebração surpresa para ele que estava em casa e foi chamado ao Mo Gun pois segundo Alexandre "Eu queria conversar com ele"...rs
Aquele momento me lembrou a Paula e de todas as vezes que ela fez o mesmo por mim.

Todo mundo um dia já pensou em parar de praticar Ving Tsun. Eu pensei várias vezes. Em algumas delas , eu chegava a comunicar ao Si Fu pessoalmente : "Estou me afastando", mas lá estava eu no dia seguinte sendo recebido aos risos por Si Fu perguntando: "Ué? Voltou?"...  e eu respondendo: "é..."

Everyone has thought about one day stop practicing Ving Tsun. I thought several times. In some of them, I came to inform the Si Fu personally: "I'm out" but I was there the next day to be greeted by laughter Si Fu asking, "What? You Returned" ... and I answered: "Yeah ...looks like that "

Rodrigo Caputo(cabelos compridos) parece ter uma ligação bem forte com Pedro Freire(foto), o aniversariante. Em determinada época, Rodrigo que havia se afastado, retomou sua prática junto da abertura do Núcleo Méier, após convite de Pedro Freire. E na noite do aniversário de Pedro, Rodrigo que havia se afastado 5 dias antes, ligou não só pra dizer que não se afastaria, mas para também sugerir um almoço para celebrar o aniversário de seu Si Dai e amigo Pedro...

Rodrigo Caputo (Longhaired) seems to have a very strong bond with Pedro Freire (photo), the birthday boy. At one time, Rodrigo who had moved away from the KF Family, returned his practice with the opening of the MYVT Meier School at the invitation of Pedro Freire. Dois dias depois, lá estavam eles , lado a lado mais uma vez, mais velhos, porém ainda reunidos através da relação Kung Fu.
Todos os presentes, tanto na Quarta quanto na Sexta, falaram algumas palavras sobre Pedro. Este tipo de momento, considero importante para que o irmão kung fu de alguma forma possa se sentir homenageado e ouvir a perspectiva dos demais a seu respeito.

Two days later, there they were side by side again, older, but still gathered through the Kung Fu bonds. 
All the people there, both in Wednesday as on Friday, spoke a few words about Pedro. This kind of moment, I consider important for the kung fu brother somehow can feel honored and hear the perspective of others about him.

Sobre Pedro, tanto o grupo de Quarta quando fizemos aquele bolinho no Mo Gun, quanto o grupo que estava presente no almoço de Sexta. Algo foi dito por todos: A maturidade de Pedro.

Por isso, para estes dois irmãos Kung Fu que entraram na Família Moy Jo Lei Ou juntos(foto), eu desejo muita sorte e que esse elo permaneça forte sempre. E para mim pessoalmente, é um privilegio acompanhar o crescimento deles, sabendo que eles também acompanham o meu.

Therefore, for these two brothers who entered the Moy Jo Lei Ou Kung Fu Family  together (photo), I wish much luck and that this bond remain strong forever. And for me personally, it is a privilege to follow the growth of them, knowing that they also follow mine.

O primeiro da esquerda para a direita é Guilherme Farias. Ele começou na antiga escola de dança no bairro do Méier onde funcionamos por quase 4 anos. Guilherme começou sua prática depois de assistir a inúmeros workshops que ministrávamos naquela época. Na foto acima, Guilherme aparece com seus companheiros que praticavam com ele no mesmo local na época: Priscila Borges e Felipe Mury. Além deles, vemos Si Sok Ursula grávida de Rebeka que coordenava as sessões na época no Méier.

The first from left to right is Guilherme Farias. He began at the old dance school in the neighborhood where Meier Ving Tsun was run for almost 4 years. Guilherme began his practice after attending numerous workshops ministering at that time by our Family. In the photo above, Guilherme appears with his teammates who practiced with him in the same place at the time: Priscilla Borges and Felipe Mury. Besides them, we see Si Sok  Ursula pregnant of Rebeka who coordinated the sessions at the time in Meier.

Quando Guilherme fez o Baai Si(foto) e recebeu o nome Kung Fu de "Moy Faat Lin", ele realmente provou que não estava brincando. Hoje sua pessoa tem papel fundamental na Família Moy Jo Lei Ou. E por atender a um chamado, a uma demanda da vida que precisava de um Si Hing com disponibilidade e comprometimento nesta Família Kung Fu, Guilherme muito cedo assumiu responsabilidades que outros como eu, com o mesmo tempo de prática que ele, nem sonhavam com tal coisa.
Também por isso, quero desejar um feliz aniversário publicamente a este rapaz, meu irmão kung fu que é um grande exemplo de lealdade entre um discípulo e um Si Fu.

When Guilherme did Baai Si (photo) and was named "Moy Faat Lin" he really proved he was not joking around that day. 
Today he is a person who has a fundamental role in Moy Jo Lei Ou Family. OPEN LETTER TO MASTER JULIO CAMACHO(CARTA ABERTA PARA MESTRE JULIO CAMACHO)

Si Fu,

não sei se o senhor sabe, mas eu morava no 386 da Rua Vieira do Couto em Rocha Miranda de aluguel com meus pais. Em 1994 meu pai foi pedir a um tio para novamente ser seu fiador como ele vinha fazendo desde 1989, mas desta vez ele disse "não". Do dia pra noite, ficamos sem ter onde morar e fomos todos pro início da rua nos fundos do 126 morar com meu avô e avó numa casa com sala, quarto, cozinha e banheiro. Seis pessoas, sendo que tinha a minha irmã com uma mega bronquite. Nossas roupas estavam todas em sacos plásticos azuis, daqueles de lixo, porque não tinha onde guardar. E de Setembro até 11 de Novembro de 1995 quando isso tudo aconteceu, eu comi miojo todos os dias. Todos os dias! 
Pra mim era uma festa morar na mesma casa do meu avô, mas não pro meu pai. Minha avó nunca havia ido muito com a cara dele, porque no fundo sempre achou que ele tinha sido uma má influência pra minha mãe que tinha um futuro brilhante.

Si Fu, 

I do not know if you know, but I lived in the number 386 of the  Vieira Couto Street by rental in Rocha Miranda neighborhood with my parents. In 1994 my father went to one of my uncles to ask again to be his guarantor as he had been doing since 1989, but this time he said "no." From morning to night, we were without a home , so we moved to the othe number in the same street  to live with my grandfather and grandmother in a house with living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Six people, and I had my sister with a mega-bronchitis. Our clothes were all in blue plastic bags, those garbage plastic bags, because we did not have where to store it. And from September until  November,11 of 1995 when it all happened, I ate ramen noodles every day. Every day! 

For me it was a party living in the same house of my grandfather, but not for my dad. My grandmother never really liked him very much, because deep down always thought he was a bad influence for my mother who had a bright future.

Anos depois, estávamos vivendo numa casa que no terreno caberiam 15 daquela casa onde minha avó vivia e ele teve que morar de favor. Tínhamos agora um quintal muito grande, e ele vivia me fazendo limpá-lo. Coisa que eu fazia a muito contra-gosto. Numa dessas vezes, ele disse algo que nunca esqueci: "Thiago, quando o cara tá bem, é muito fácil você ser legal com ele, procurar ele. Quando o cara tá mal, ninguém procura."

Years later, we were living in a house that would fit 15of that house where my grandmother lived and dad had to live with us. We now had a very large yard, and he lived making me clean it. Something I did with no smile in my face. One of those times, he said something I never forgot: "Thiago, when the guy is living well, it is very easy for you to be cool with him, but when the guy is having a hard time, nobody looks for him.."

Nos últimos 3 anos Si Fu, as coisas não foram fáceis pro senhor . E eu tenho que confessar que pra mim foi bem difícil acompanhar todo esse processo. Desde a primeira vez que o vi, sempre enxerguei tanta vida no senhor, que vê-lo adoentado , ou cansado, ou preocupado para mim foi bem duro. E eu sempre lembrava do que o senhor havia falado certa vez citando o Si Gung: "Julio, no início quando você começou, você era um jovem seguindo um jovem, depois um jovem seguindo um adulto, e agora um adulto seguindo um adulto."  Eu acho que conosco foi quase  o mesmo, mas talvez eu tenha travado entre o jovem e o adulto.

Over the past three years Si Fu, things were not easy for you. And I have to confess that for me it was very difficult to live this process. From the first time I saw you, whenever I saw you, you had so much life in you, So, to see you getting sick, or tired, or worried for me was pretty hard. And I always remembered what you had spoken once citing Si Gung: "Julio, in the beginning when you started, you were a young man following a young man, then a young man following an adult, and now an adult following an adult." I think it was with us almost the same, but maybe I was frozen between the young and adult.

O senhor sempre aparecia com novidades e com histórias incríveis sobre a vida de forma geral. Mas vezes eu achava chato quando o senhor cismava com alguma coisa, como quando o começou a falar de etimologia e filosofia grega. Mas como mágica, de repente lá estava eu me interessando por esses assuntos também. Porque o senhor sempre colocou tanta paixão nas suas histórias, que elas contagiavam quem quer que fosse.

You always show up with new and amazing stories about life in general. But sometimes I found annoying when you mused about something, as when you started talking about etymology and Greek philosophy. But like magic, suddenly there I was  interested by these subjects as well. Because you always put so much passion into your stories,that they spread to everyone.

O senhor inspirou muitas pessoas nesses anos. Fossem elas pessoas que o chamavam de Si Hing ou de Si Fu. O senhor sempre esteve lá por elas. Mas hoje vejo, o quanto o senhor sacrificou para tanto. O senhor realmente sempre levou esse compromisso a sério, e por muitas vezes as pessoas que o senhor ajudava,ouvia, aconselhava, e abraçava. Eram as mesmas que falavam besteiras depois. E foi quando o senhor me disse: "...Não importa quem seja, ou o que falou por aí. Quantas vezes retornar, eu vou sempre receber com um abraço.Mas um abraço de verdade."

You inspired many people over the years. They were people who called you as Si Hing or Si Fu. You were always there for them. But now I see, how much you sacrificed for us. You really always took that commitment seriously, and often people that you helped, listened, counseled, and hugged. Were the same after speaking nonsense about you. And I remember when you told me: ".. ... No matter who or what the person said before. Every time they return, I will always welcome this person with a hug But a honestly hug."

O senhor consegue olhar para algo e enxergar o que esse algo pode se tornar. Isso é muito valioso, porque o senhor não fazia isso apenas com espaços físicos que se tornavam um Mo Gun incrivel depois. Mas o senhor também o fez com pessoas como eu...

You were always able to look at something and see what that something could become. This is very valuable, because you did that not just with places but also with people  like me ...

Para muitos de nós, o senhor era quase uma entidade que só vivia em função do Ving Tsun. Nunca pensamos de verdade , em como estavam as coisas na sua casa ou com a sua Família. E mesmo assim, todas as vezes, o senhor se preocupou com a casa, e com a família de cada um de nós. E por mais trivial que fossem os nossos problemas, o senhor os ouvia com uma atenção que muitas vezes surpreendia quem estava falando. 

For many of us, you were almost an entity that lived only for Ving Tsun. We Never thought for real in how things were going at your home and with your family. And yet, every time, you cared about the house, and the family of each of us. And no matter how trivial  were our problems, you heard them with an attention which often surprised who was speaking.

Um belo dia o senhor parou comigo em frente a um local enorme e me perguntou se eu achava que era muito para nós. Pela confiança que sempre tive no senhor e na sua visão, eu disse que não. Ao mesmo tempo, numa vez o senhor disse para alguém que estava em um Mo Gun que o senhor dirigia: "Cuidado quando pisar aqui, porque você está pisando no meu sonho"
E honestamente Si Fu, acho que ninguém se deu conta disso naquele momento. Ninguém se deu conta de que o sonho era de todos nós.

One day you stopped me in front of a huge site and asked me if I thought it was too much for us. I always had the confidence in you and in your vision, So I said "no". At the same time, one time you said to someone who was in a Mo Gun that you ran years before: "Beware when you walk here, because you are walking on my dreams" 

And honestly Si Fu, I think nobody realized it at the time. Nobody realized that the dream was for all of us.

Quando nos demos conta, os que ficaram ao final pelo menos, lá estávamos nós: Começando num novo local. Porém dessa vez, o inspirador, o conselheiro, o amigo era quem precisava de nós, e nós não estivemos lá por ele.
E eu imagino o quanto isso deve ter sido duro. Mas não posso falar por todos Si Fu, só por mim...

When we realized, those who stayed untill the end at least, there we were: Starting in a new place. But this time, the inspirator, the counselor, the friend was the one who needed us, and we were not there for him. 

And I imagine how it must have been hard for you. But I can not speak for everyone Si Fu, just for me ...

Em 15 anos, o senhor nunca virou as costas pra mim. E por mais que eu tenha pensado , discordado, questionado o senhor muitas e muitas vezes nesses anos,durante esse período difícil um único sentimento sempre esteve presente: "Gratidão". In 15 years, you never turned your back on me. And as much as I have thought, disagreed, and questioned you many many times over the years, during this difficult period an unique feeling has always been present in me: "Gratitude". Because "... when the guy is doing well, it is very easy for you to be cool with him, But when he is living a hard time, nobody looks for him..." - That's what my father said.

O senhor Si Fu, me ensinou a me vestir de acordo com a ocasião. O senhor me ensinou que se não posso ter determinado objeto,antes de comprar falsificado, é melhor não ter. Porque se o que uso for falso, o que pensarão do meu Kung Fu? O senhor me fez até apreciar vinho, ainda que eu tenha preferido continuar bebendo Pérgola..(risos)
O senhor me convidou pra viajar pra outros países com o senhor muitas vezes, e eu que nunca fui, só reparei na besteira que fiz, quando meu Si Dai Ismael disse ao entrar na Família que o sonho dele era um dia ser convidado pelo senhor para uma viagem dessas.

You Si Fu, taught me how to dress according to the occasion. You taught me that if I can not have certain object, before buying a false onet, it is better not to have. Because if what I use is false, what they will think of my Kung Fu? You made me like to appreciate wine, though I have preferred to continue drinking the chip ones .. (laughs) 

You invited me to travel to other countries with you many times, and I've never been there with you, and I just noticed the mistake I did when my Si Dai Ismael said , when he entered into the family, that his dream was to one day be invited by yiu for such a trip.

Se o senhor ouviu muita besteira a seu respeito nesse período, eu também ouvi. Mas eu queria que o senhor soubesse que outras tantas pessoas como o Vlad(foto), pensavam o contrário, como numa vez que ele disse no carro em 2012: "...O cara tá numa situação dificil e ainda vai pra China buscar conhecimento pra gente e eu não vou ajudar? Se fosse outro tinha jogado tudo pro alto por muito menos!..."

I know you heard a lot of nonsense about you during this period, I also heard. But I wanted you to know that so many people like Vlad (photo), thought otherwise, as a time when he said in my car in 2012: "... Uma vez o senhor iria dar uma palestra sobre Ving Tsun no Mo Gun e estava muito animado. Chegou a noite no seu primeiro Núcleo Tindiba e só tinham duas pessoas. Aquilo chocou o senhor. A Si Sok Ursula(foto), que era uma das duas pessoas presentes,disse pro senhor focar em quem tinha ido, mesmo que fossem só duas pessoas.

Long time ago, you would give a lecture on the Ving Tsun at the old MYVT TIndiba School in Rio  and you were very excited. The night came and there were only two students. What shocked you.  Si Sok Ursula (photo), who was one of  the two people present, said to you to focus on who was there, even though they were only two people.

Si Fu, eu vou continuar discordando do senhor em muita coisa e concordando e admirando tantas outras. Mas sabe? Tudo que escrevi no Blog até hoje, e mesmo o que não escrevi sobre o senhor, eu o vi fazer na prática nos piores momentos: Manter a firmeza, seguir em frente porque a sensação do final da guerra é muito melhor do que a do alívio da desistência como o senhor mesmo disse. E o mais importante: A manutenção do seu compromisso. O senhor não nos abandonou em nenhum momento.

Si Fu, I'll keep disagreeing very much with you. And agreeing and admiring in many other ways. But you know something? Everything I wrote in this blog today, and before about you, I saw you do in practice at the worst times: Keep tightly, move on because the feeling of the end of the war is far better than the relief of the dropout as you yourself said to me once. And most importantly: Maintaining your commitment. You never forgot us , even in the hardests times.

Eu escrevi isso tudo, porque ontem vi Si Gung num vídeo se referindo a vida de Ip Man como privilegiada por ter ele vivido no mais alto nível sócio-econômico e no mais rasteiro. Aquilo me tocou. Porque é muito bobo ver o filme e ficar se perguntando se ele realmente lutou com dez karatecas ou não. Mas ninguém pensa no que ele passou naquele momento difícil com a Família dele durante a invasão...

I wrote all this because yesterday I watched a video where Si Gung refered to the life of Ip Man as a privileged life, Because he had lived in the highest socio-economic level and in poorest. It touched me. Because it is very silly to watch the movie and  wonder if he really struggled with ten karate-guy or not. But nobody thinks about what he went through that tough time with his Family during the invasion ...

Então agora que o pior já está passando Si Fu, pra você que me ensinou a ser um homem , posso dizer que o privilégio foi meu, e dos demais que estiveram com o senhor durante estes momentos. Porque eu ainda não sei, nem nunca vou saber o quanto o senhor é bom de luta, ainda que tenha meus palpites(risos). Mas acredito que nunca vou ver outra pessoa enfrentar a vida da forma que o senhor enfrenta. 
E acredite, que a sua preocupação dita a mim anos atrás, de que o senhor não queria ser o elo da corrente a se partir, não aconteceu. Nós ainda estamos aqui, e estaremos sempre com o senhor.
Porque se o senhor fosse o publicitário que ganhasse bem e estivesse com a tarde livre pra surfar, com certeza não teria mudado a vida de tantas pessoas...  Ou pelo menos a minha...

So now that the worst is almost behind Si Fu, for you who taught me to be a man, I can say that the privilege was mine, and the others who've been with you during these hard times. Because I still do not know or will never know how  good you are in a fight, even though I have my guesses (laughs). But I believe I'll never see another person face life the way that you face. 
And believe that your concern said to me years ago that you do not want to be the link in the chain to break, did not happen. We're still here, and we will always be with you. 

Because if you werea simples guy , in a simple job, with lots of money and have the the afternoon free to surf, surely you would not have changed the lives of so many people ... Or at least mine ...

Obrigado Si Fu! Porque como disse Si Taai Gung Moy Yat certa vez: Não existiria quantidade de Hung Bao no mundo que eu pudesse entregar ao senhor, para agradecer tudo que fez por mim! Obrigado!
