In 2002, during the celebration of his birthday, Si Gung opened his speech by saying that he did not like to celebrate his birthday until he realized that the birthday celebration is a chance of people close to you to celebrate you. And just realized that the celebration was for others to congratulate him, and so began to enjoy more...
Yesterday, after a day and a wild night. After riding the open-trunk of a car, making weight on a loose glass door that could fly back in the car behind us in high-way as a missile anytime and stay with half my face frozen .. hehe I was invited by the Kung Fu brothers to eat some pizza near to our room where is the new future Mo Gun, because yesterday I completed 13 years of Kung Fu.
For me it was a very remarkable moment. Being with people that I love and being able to somehow share some moments (some embarrassing too .. hehe) important with Thiago, Carlos, Gui, Cynthia and Ismael. It was really fun ...
Mas não parou por ai...
But it would not stop there...
It was very late when Daniel, a personal friend of Carlos and Thiago invited us to watch a movie also near where the new Mo Gun will be ...
Some friends of Carlos and Thiago, and Lu, wife of Carlos and Gui himself were there ...
Another remarkable moment, of course, accentuated by my flower t-shirt .. lol
Inside the theater I received a "Happy Birthday" from everyone in the theater .. lol It was pretty funny ...
And finally, I do not like to celebrate birthdays (maybe because Im lazy .. hehe), I received a super special "Happy Birthday" message during the movie, as well from my present friends. And I understood the importance of allowing people to celebrate ... It was very special, mainly because there was nothing matched ...

UM NOVO MEMBRO NA FAMÍLIA KUNG FU NO MÉIER ( A NEW MEMBER ENTERS THE KF FAMILY FROM MÉIER)
The Metropolitan School in our neighborhood, has been repeatedly reported here lol .. But still, I wanted to talk about this last Monday. A very special day for the MYVT Meier, when the dedicated Alexandre Ribeiro was invited to join the Kung Fu Family , and received the permission to start the Siu Nim Tau.
But as Si Fu is in China, for the first time that invitation and authorization were made by a
Si Hing on Si Fu behalf .
I was honored to be that person, and fate decreed that Alexander was to receive the invitation.
Alexander is 13 years old, and began to practice as a nominee of his two friends, and today, his Si Hing : Rodrigo Caputo and Pedro Freire. Who Alexandre studying with since childhood.
And it was at lunch on the afternoon of Monday, exactly in the presence of Rodrigo and Pedro, that Alexander begins his journey into the Ving Tsun system.
Surely the MYVT Meier and Kung Fu Family , wins with this entry practitioner.

MOY YAT E PEREIRA JOGAM SINUCA (Pereira and Si Taai Gung Moy Yat playing Pool!)
I started playing snooker in college. For some "mystical reason", I always had a lot of luck in this game. And years after graduating, my luck in the pool has not abandoned me.
Recently I went out to play with friends at our fav place, and once again, with great luck, I started to win all the matches. And when my friends started to get discouraged, the laughter subsided, and the weather was not so relaxed. I remembered a story ...
Si Taai Gung Moy Yat liked to play pool. And it is with great regret that after an hour and a half poking my files, I could not find a picture of him playing lol .. But anyway ...
I once heard that someday Si Taai Gung Moy Yat needed an amount because a car owned by his family was beaten.
Si Gung and other disciples, organized to raise this money, which was not a small amount. But it without Si Taai Going knowing.
Si Gung was at the Mo Gun Mo (photo) with other veteran practitioners, when Si Taai Gung Moy Yat came with a package. He laid on top of a place and said: "I got the money."
Si Gung and others asked "Where?" and he answered: "Playing pool."
Everyone was amazed as well as Si Taai Gung Moy Yat used to lose games most of the time, and asked about it, he replied:
"I like very much to play pool. But if I win all the time, no one would like to play with me. But today, I take it serious."
The Si Fu whenever we're eating somewhere with him and people start to get more concerned about the food, drinks or the bill to pay, he reminds us that we are not there for that. The food is just an excuse to be together and to experience good times in Kung Fu Life.
And even I was not in a moment of Kung Fu Life, I was there to enjoy myself and see my friends happy too. I missed some movements, I lost the match, and left the table. My friends was excited again. I left them having some fun, and I walked a little further and found a very old arcade machine in a forgotten corner. It was a game I had not played for over 20 years, my favorite game in Arcade machines, can you believe it? .... And I ended up inserting a coin.
When I saw many of my friends have stopped playing pool and coming to me.
The pool was forgotten and everyone was having fun again...

PARTIDA DE SI FU PARA A CHINA 2012.(SI FU´S DEPARTURE TO CHINA 2012.)
(Aeroporto do Galeão, início de Novembro de 2009 : Partida de Si Fu e Si Sok Felipe para a China)
(Galeao Internation Airport in Rio, November 2009 - Si Fu and Si Sok Felipe Departure to China)
There is no way, life will always pass in a flash. When you realize, years passed since some special moment that you are sure it was other day. And by looking at this photo of a cloudy Sunday November 2009, just before the departure of Si Fu and Si Sok Felipe to China, we realize how much the lives of everyone present in this picture changed: At the time the KF Family of
Si Fu, went to its fourth Mo Gun. This year, we go to the fifth one, not counting Meier MYVT school. Felipe and Eliza, only fiancees at the time, they are now just a month of their marriage. Carlos and Luciana, who were already engaged, are days of their marriage. Si Sok Diego at the time was madly studying for public exams and today is already approved, and I ... Well, I stopped wearing jackets over my shoulders. No doubt this is very old fashioned ....
It was a rainy afternoon of Saturday when we take Si Fu in his home to the airport. In my car, I went with him in front, while Guilherme and Jade squeezed themselves in the middle of my mess in the backseat.
Si Fu was barely able to sleep, because that very morning we were moving to a new Mo Gun. Still,Si Fu was very excited, and talked about this new moment that awaits us.
Si Fu worked hard to be present at the time we are goin to take the keys of the new Mo Gun this next week, but fate decreed that he traveled before that. But he said that was good because for the first time, a Mo Gun will be mounted under his direction without his presence, and the role of the Si Hing(s) at this point will be crucial.

(Carlos Antunes "Moy Shan Si met us at the airport, and here is with Gui Farias "Moy Faat Lin" by his side)
Si Fu commented that perhaps did not exist worst time to travel. But without doubt will be something unprecedented : Interviews are scheduled with the director of Saint Stephen's College where Ip Man studied in order to recover materials from that period of his life, as well as an interview with Ip Jing, his youngest son, at his residence. In fact, the same as Ip Man lived his last days.
Si Baak Anderson, Si Sok Leo Mordente e outros discípulos presentes nesta incrível viagem.
A camera registred Ip Man's Siu Nim Tau at his last residence 8 days before he dies. At this same place,
Si Fu, Si Baak Anderson, Si Sok Leo Mordente and some other disciples will talk to Ip Jing.
Si Fu goes to Amsterdam before Madrid in Spain. Where a new MYVT school under the direction of his Si Dai, my dear Si Sok Marcelo Navarro will be oficially open by Si Gung himself. After that he goes to China.
" Qualquer outra pessoa no lugar do Si Fu teria desistido. Eu enquanto puder, vou continuar fazendo..."
It has rained a lot in Rio since last week, and in one of those nights, after another day of work fixing up the now former Mo Gun, I gave a ride to Vladimir up to his home with his son Daniel. On the way, Vlad said something I found very nice showing how this disciple is tuned to Si Fu:
"Anyone else in place of Si Fu would have given up. Si Fu did not have to go through what he went through . Yet he goes out there for seek knowledge for who? For us. On this trip he's doing is because of us. So I go to the Mo Gun to care of it, to do what I can, because of him. He's always watching us, always worried about everyone. While I can, I'll continue doing this ... "
ANTUNES' HOUSE
After the touching departure of Si Fu , we went to the house of Carlos Antunes, next to the airport. But after read the rest of the post, listen to the song below. 'Cus Carlos loves that and it played while we were there!
Guilherme 23 years old and Jade, 15 years old did their best to understand the crazy talk between me, Carlos and his future wife, Luciana about old school classics like this one above by Tony Garcia! hehe

The future Mrs Carlos Antunes, Luciana, had a very warm welcome for us that night. We could spend more time together, but all of us were very tired so we decided go home after one hour and a half...
In this week, a lot of work awauts for us. Si Fu is doing his best representing us in the other side of the world. I want to believe that we will be doing our best right here in our city in our neighborhood to represente his work building up the new Mo Gun!!

DIM MAK: O TOQUE DA MORTE por Moy Yat (DIM MAK:The Death Touch by Moy Yat)
It was some ordinary afternoon from1993 about five o'clock. Another day of school was over in Rocha Miranda wild neighborhood, and mothers, brothers, aunts and responsibles awaited the departure of children.
Before meeting with my mother, through the crowd, I heard my friend's brother' said to me:
"You´ve lost a great movie this afternoon on TV!"
Ze Mario, the boy who talked to me, was talkin' bout "BLOODSPORT" starring Jean Claude Van Damme. A classic on brazilian TV in the 90's! Below, we see the ad of the first time that or prime tv channel put it on screen on Mondays night!
A scene in the film however, drew much attention: Van Damme presented himself as a disciple of Clan Tanaka, but the judges ask him to run the "Dim Mak" to prove the truth of his words ...
Obviously this scene blew my mind off at the first time I saw, and Dim Mak, "Touch of Death", present in several other films, now inhabit not only my mind, but many other children's minds at the time. And what was my surprise, when I discovered that even Si Taai Gung Moy Yat, became interested in DIM MAK ....
Durante minha juventude, eu amava as artes marciais.
I spent much of my childhood in a small country village . No matter what type of game, children would play. I was always one of the players. I knew all the games and was good at them. But there was one in particular that I remember well umtil today called "Throw the can"It was called "throw the can" but in fact, the nature of the game was to make the "Dim Mak", by long distance. Even on the other side of a mountain.
This game was made by night even if we had or not the moonlight. The only restriction was if it were raining. We had no problem finding six or seven kids to play. An empty can, could easily be found in the corners of the houses, and all the kids knew the rules of the game very well. From ten yards away, you could see small shadows together gathered in circle by the big rock playing "grandstone,scissors,cloth...." to determine a loser. After a short time, only two would remain, they would dispute "grandstone,scissors,cloth.... again and the loser would be the last remaining. The winner would join the group and the loser would be alone, would be the only one who would know the "dim mak"
To start the game, the loser would stay with his back to the group of children, while one of them would throw the can somewhere he could not see. Because he would be looking up counting to 10. And he would be trusted to not look.
Then he had to find the can and bring it back to the starting point, where a circle was drawn on the floor.
Sometimes the bottle was thrown in the bushes, in other times, threw on cow manure, everything depended on how nasty the person who was throwing could be. Occasionally it falls even in sewers.
Once found, it was brought back to the circle, and he entered the circle. This meant that the door was closed to the circle to the other players, or "heroes" and they could not enter. If a small shadow was sighted, the child with the can, pointed his finger and made the Dim Mak screaming the other kids name. So, who was found in this way, would be "dead." If, after a while, he found no one watching from inside the circle, and ventured to look the other children leaving the circle and unprotected can, the door would be open to the circle. If he caught all, the players, the game was over and the first to be found, it would be who would get the next can, but sometimes the circle that had been left empty, allowed someone walked in quietly and kicked the bottle far away, bringing all players "Dead" back to life, making the game start from the beginning. A single game could last several nights.
During my youth, I loved the martial arts. I would stay in my horse and would practice forms for hours training very, very hard. Sometimes I read about Dim Mak or see it in movie screen, but I always saw this issue as a smoke passing over my eyes. In other words, I never cared much for it and continued practicing my Kung Fu very intensely,
When I was in middle age I started doing Kung Fu my livelihood. Besides, my actions and my behavior had to continue maintaining a proper way for a Si Fu. So I do not allow myself to be talking about a Dim Mak, for fear of students misunderstand and try to copy me, eventually ruin their Kung Fu.
The days and difficult times passed quickly. Soon I heard myself being called "Si Gung" and "Si Taai Gung "
I tried to study the vital points on the human body for use in Acupuncture and learned more than seventy major pressure points. Some big other small . If certain points are attacked by an impact energy through a small surface, the damage can be incurable and would certainly lead to a decline in health or even death. Do not make these meaningless words!
However, let's not take it too seriously. But since childhood. I knew every game each one. So, for many years, I trained and trained martial arts. Now I'm old and weak. Under certain circumstances, I would have to use a technique, and as an old man. I often have the opportunity of using a single technique. If I say to you that I do not know how to use the Dim Mak, you believe me?

It was not quite how it happened. In fact, Bruce Lee always had a craze that would leave any physical education teacher of modern hair stand on end: Exercising at home without professional supervision!
Many of the equipment used by Bruce Lee, were made by his students or friends. And he wore constantly trying to overcome his own limitations.

This is a Bruce Lee's notbeook, which shows his exercise routine between 23 and 24 May 1968. We see how he took it seriously. And some interesting stories emerged years later as one in which Bruce went to pick up one of his relatives at the airport and when Bruce saw him he was astonished with the carelessness with his relative´s body shape. Bruce despatched the bags to his house by car, and forced his relative to return with him doing runnin'
all the way home.

Bruce Lee also recommended that if you can choose between climbing the stairs or the elevator, choose the stairs. If you can get off your bus or subway a few blocks to go before walking to your destination, do it!

It turns out that at some point, Bruce Lee ended up seriously hurting hiself while doing exercises. And doctors have given as a case in which he could no longer move.
Bruce Lee was trying at the time to reach all the way to be a movie star in the U.S., and with this news it was no longer possible ...

Once though, Bruce Lee took a napkin that was on a tray in which the nurse had left some food for him while he was in hospital. Bruce took a pen and wrote on the napkin:
"In five years, I'll be walking again, I will be the first Chinese movie star in the U.S.,I will earn my first million dollars and will be the highest paid actor in world cinema."
In the film, Bruce Lee shows that not only could walk again, as he had created a new martial art. And to prove his theory, defies any man, he will win in 60 sec. And what is his surprise at being able to fight with the man who had left him unable to walk.
USANDO O KUNG FU COMO FATOR REDENÇÃO:
USING THE KUNG FU AS A REDEMPTION FACTOR:

Generally we see life as a journey always with only two options: to do or not do, To continue or to give up, you can or you can not, etc etc ... That was until we encounter a situation in which none of our efforts seem to have an effect, and then without blink,we just give up ...

(MYVT Meier School, was just possible in my dreams and also in Si Fu´s dreams, but today is a reality for everyone.)
Therefore, it is important to understand that our achievements can not be associated with effort. We think that to overcome a difficult moment what we need is to impose our desire to the "real world", but from the point of view of the Chinese logic, ot does not fit the notion of "wanting", actually its logic even formulated this notion. Its point is to understand how what happens to us is manifested. Whence comes from and how it becomes feasible, because if we understand that everything that happens to us is a process, we also understand that reality does not stop unfold and we dont need to impose us in a voluntarily and directly way to achieve a goal, because when we understand this logic, we find that the efficacy is ongoing call naturally within a process that has already begun.

Bruce did not tell the truth, you know why? Because the napkin was wrong! He did all in just 3 years! And 'till today he is one of the greatest symbols of the martial arts.

Si Fu told me this story of this napkin in 2002, but only in 2011, I think I started to put it into practice. Of course I realized that we are not more man if we "dare the life". Being an ordinary guy who just tries to look at the potential of every situation that configures, without pomp, without heroism, today seems smarter to me ...

In 2002, I believed that only a napkin was needed to Bruce Lee. But today, I wonder how many times he wrote and rewrote, until he himself believed that it impossible does not exist. But it is just a process that was not manifested in reality yet.

It was not quite how it happened. In fact, Bruce Lee always had a craze that would leave any physical education teacher of modern hair stand on end: Exercising at home without professional supervision!
A SUPERAÇÃO DE BRUCE LEE:
"NÃO DESISTA AINDA QUE PAREÇA IMPOSSÍVEL"
BRUCE LEE MOTIVATION:
"BREAKIN' TROUGH THE IMPOSSIBLE!"
BRUCE LEE MOTIVATION:
"BREAKIN' TROUGH THE IMPOSSIBLE!"

PRIMEIROS SOCORROS NO MÉIER E NOMES KF NA BARRA! (FIRST AID AT MYVT MEIER AND KF NAMES AT MYVT BARRA!)
Ailton Jordan, like me, is a member of the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family,he works in a Emergency Care Unit and at the Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro. And on Friday afternoon, with the presence of his Si Hing Lucas Eustaquio and his Si Dai André Almeida, Ailton shared with them some of his knowledge of first aid in an informal way ...
***Its important to say that the practitioners are not allowed or able to do this kind of first-aid, just because Ailton talk a little about that. But its just because in Kung Fu Family everyone can exchange knowledge between each other.
Lucas for example, could try to make a heart massage in accident situations, when time is short.
Andre', helpped his Si Hing to demonstrate how to place a person who needs first aid before medical team arrive.
Lucas and Andre' also knew the Heimlich maneuver, much seen in movies, and in the case of Ailton, almost every week ... lol
After this talk, we had the Ving Tsun regular sessions still that evenning.
ENQUANTO ISSO, NO NÚCLEO BARRA....
WHILE THAT AT MYVT BARRA SCHOOL...
No dia seguinte, as 7 am, enquanto nascia o sol, já estava no carro ouvindo uma "música para dirigir",nesse caso, "Beat City" do "The Flowerpot Men", indo em direção ao Núcleo Barra. Mais um dia de Kung Fu começava...
The next day, at 7 am, as the sun rose, I was in the car listening to a "music for driving" as I call it: in this case, "Beat City" from "The Flowerpot Men", going toward the MYVT Barra School. Another day of Kung Fu began ...
Later that morning, Tati wanted to know what was behind her Kung Fu name,"Moy Yi Gap."
she went to Si Fu who handed her a dictionary of Cantonese so she could look for it with the help of Dai Si Hing Leo Reis. But first, he helped her with a lot of knowledge about her kung fu name and how look ideograms in a chinese dictionary.
Si Fu took the opportunity to talk a lot about kung fu name logic. 'Cause its not just about give to someone a name in chinese with "Moy", there is a thinking behind it, and was very cool to know that!
Si Hing Leo was looking like Presto from "Dungeouns and Dragons" 80's cartoon with that glasses. With Tati, he was still looking for her name.
From MYVT Meier, was Ricardo Mendes, by his side, the young Lucas, son of Daai Si Hing Leo Reis, and also, Ismael , who is just starting in Ving Tsun
Si Fu took questions, but he also talked about Si Taai Gung Moy Yat logic in differente periods to give kung fu names, how to building Kung Fu names, and spoke of his own assumptions when giving a Kung Fu name, and the important help of Si Sok Leo Mordente from MYVT Savassi in this process ...
This is the end , but I hope to see you soon!
