TREINOS DE QUARTA ( Wednesday´s Training)

E assim tentamos fazer...

Earlier this year, Si Fu suggested a different training Wednesday night.
Indeed on wednesday nights always have training in Mo Gun, but he called for something more "Free".
The more free training, is called in our Kung Fu Family as Mai San Jong. And the words of Si Fu were:
"You can train whatever you want Wednesday nights, just have to have Mai San Jong."

And so we try to do ...

The idea worked, and a very cool group was formed during these drills. Where always in the end of the trainings, we went to the neighborhood of the Freguesia to eat the famous "Aunt´s Hot Dog " in a tent just next the house of Si Fu. I love being with the Si Fu, but I have to admit it was very important for me to see so many people of Kung Fu Family met even without his presence.

The locations of the lunch time have changed after training, but we were at Mo Gun 19:30 to train and only nearly midnight after lunch we say goodbye.

In the second month of training, we saw that a training equipment was really necessary so we could better use the potential of those moments. Was given the idea of the group give a present to Mo Gun and for itself a new training equipament. Thus, Si Sok Seabra with me that coordinates these sessions, put one Hung Bao in Jing Tong for each contribute as preferred, and a few months after our trust not only our training material, as well as other equipment for Mo Gun. It was a time well marked.

Estiveram presentes ontem:

-Si Sok Felipe Seabra
-Thiago Pereira
-Vladmir Anchieta
-Claudio Teixeira
-Fernando Xavier
-Michael Martinez
-Thiago Wasserman
-Luciano
-Pedro Correia
-Daniel (filho do Vlad)
-Pedro e Ana (filhos do Claudio)

Last Wednesday, after 7 non-stop months the group has changed, but the will turned stronger!

There were:

-Si Sok Felipe Seabra
-Thiago Pereira
-Vladmir Anchieta
-Claudio Teixeira
-Fernando Xavier
-Michael Martinez
-Thiago Wasserman
-Luciano
-Pedro Correia
-Daniel (filho do Vlad)
-Pedro e Ana (filhos do Claudio)

Pedro, practitioner of Siu Ye Kuen, had a unforgetable experience with the adults.
Casa cheia!

Full House!

Fernando Xavier, a great friend also known as "Lance Armstrong from Madureira", came back to the trainings some months ago, and now is one of the most importants in the group.

In fact the training is a study of the different situations we train on a day-to-day in our Private Sessions. But we learned something together on those nights of Wednesday, is that it does not mean "Training freely" when we slap each other .

Dynamics that are proposed to be training between different stages during the 2 ½ hours of training to make the Mai San Jong totally free at the end. Connecting what has been seen since the beginning of a dynamic unpredictable at the end.

Wasserman (wearing blue): A great surprise! And a lost class at University that night for training!
Vladmir e Luciano.
Luciano a direita, vem de São João de Meriti pra treinar.

Vladmir and Luciano.
Luciano at the right, cames from another city to train every Wednesday nights
Michael em sua primeira participação.

Wasserman e Michael.

Mais treino!

More training!
Intervalo para considerações.

Break for some talk about the experiences.
E lá no fundo, Pedro. Sim!

And in the background, Pedro. Yes! The young one Pedro preparing himself to play with us!
It was very difficult take the Nintendo DS from him!
Explicando o próximo trabalho.

Me explainning the next training.
Are you ready?....
Mas vou ficar satisfeito apenas quando conseguir levar a Tina Turner pros treinos pra cantar "We dont need another hero" , tema de Mad Max III -Além da Cúpula do Trovão.

But I will just be happy when I take Tina Turner to the training sessions to sing "We Dont need another hero", the soundtrack of MAD MAX III - THE THUNDERDOME.

We have a tradicion to talk about all the experiences after the trainings.

Thanks to Si Sok Felipe Seabra for the photos!
And for all who goes every wednesday nights!

GUILHERME BRIGGS INDICA O BLOG DO PEREIRA(GUILHERME BRIGGS INDICATES THE PEARTREE´S BLOG!)

-Freakazoid
-Mickey
-Lider Optimus (Transformers dublado)
-Radamantis (Cavaleiros do Zodiaco - saga de hades)
-Super-Man (Liga da Justiça)
-"Ele" (Meninas super-poderosas)

e Muitos outros!

A couple of years ago (as we see in the image above), I had the honor to receive this message from Takumi Tsuitsui,a Japanese actor in his BLOG.

For those who do not know him, he played one of the greatest heroes of children's early 90's here in Brazil:

Jiraiya, The Incredible NINJA.

It was really a special moment.

This weekend, I could be proud again, when one of the most famous double(voice-actors) in Brazil indicated my blog on Twitter!
And it was a no ordinary POST, he appointed the highly successful "10 years of Ving Tsun Part 1" (where I tell the history of my grandfather).

The actor was Guilherme Briggs, who does the voices of characters such as:

-Freakazoid
-Mickey
-Leader Optimus (Transformers in portuguese)
-Radamantys (Knights of Zodiac - Hades Saga)
-Super-Man (Justice League)
- "He" (Powerpuff girls)

and many others!
(Aqui GUILHERME BRIGGS indica meu BLOG.

What's more, the humble Peartree´s blog received 352 visits in 5 hours, a total of 70 visits per hour for the Post of Carlos (my grandfather) and his shot at knees and deadly struggles at the Praça XV.

NOTICIA EM "PRIMEIRO SAU" (NEWS IN FIRST SAU)

Always when I watch a soccer game of Flamengo with comments by the ex-player Junior , I am always thinking about the time when he has no patience and would say: "ahhh! I´m Going there!"

Voice of Luis Roberto (narrator of the Globo Channel in soccer games):
"A historic moment! After almost 20 years Junior ,"the Maestro", returns to wear the Flamengo shirt agin and goes to the heating! He was here in the cabins of the Globo, but settles down to help the team in the Libertadores Championship!"

Dude! What a moment!

And this week, I reminded again of my reverie when I read the news:

POWER RANGER QUER LUTAR NO UFC!
POWER RANGER WANTS TO FIGHT IN UFC!

That's because the actor Jason David Frank after doing some tattoos, leaving his nice guy face and start to look like a gang member from Los Angeles, decided to enter the UFC to fight real people!

Jason played Tommy in the mega-success of 1995 in Brazil, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. His character wore various colors of the uniform of the Power Rangers, in different seasons, but without doubt the most striking was the Green Ranger, at the first season.

His character was a bit lonely, and used a flute to call their giant robot.
That character was so successful that he won a montage of funk(Rio de Janeiro popular music) in the same year (CLICK HERE) considered a classic by people between twenty and thirty years old in Rio!

Jason already has an agent and expects to fight soon in the UFC!

I hope that he take the flute and call his Dragonzord to help him to win the fight.

rsrs

Last week was performed XXVII Traditional Ceremony of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family. As I wrote here, this is not a like a color-belt graduation test (very common in some martial arts schools in Brazil), on the contrary, in view of all the months of training of the practitioners who participate in it, they receive a formal invitation by Si Fu to go to that level following Ving Tsun System. Then the Traditional Ceremony begins to work as a celebration for the practitioner not a test.
But a landmark that symbolizes the passage from one moment to another.

The ceremony took place in our city, Rio de Janeiro, at the Marriott hotel in Copacabana in front of the beach.
It is really a beautiful hotel, but the "North Zone Spirit*" was present when I entered it with a market plastic bag** with an iron in, to pass the tablecloth ceremony.

* North Zone of Rio where is the Meier Studio, is poorest zone than the South Zone(richiest area), where is Copacabana

** In Brazil, you take your things in supermarket in plastic bags.

And also when Guilherme shouted from the second floor to the middle of the lobby: "Si Hing Leiras! Is heeeeeere!Up Staaaaairs!"***
Needless to say about the silence that prevailed until then in the hall ..

***Also in North Zone of Rio, the people uses to scream for any reason.Principally when for example sees someone that this person knows on the other side of the street.

Si Sok Diego(Ceremony Coordinator), Karol (my fianceé) , Si Sok Ursula and Si Mo in love with the Luciano´s baby hold by his wife.
Lucas Reis , Luana Reis e Katia Reis: a Família do Daai Si Hing Leo Reis esteve presente.
Lucas Reis,Luana Reis and Katia Reis: The Family of Daai Si hing Leo Reis
[12G VT] was there!
The "Reis Brothers"(hey! This is cool!) training with us too!

I still remember in July 2008 at the time when I was going to do the ceremony to the Baat Jaam Do level , leaving the Meier Studio at night, when Si Sok Ursula told me to enjoy that moment 'cause that would be my last Traditional Ceremony. Indeed, the "nervousness" that the person feels and you see on other people too before the Ceremony brings a certain nostalgia to me. So I always talk with the participants before the ceremonies, telling stories of other times, or just "terrifying" them (of course with great care! hehe), as when Paula Gama was nervous because she would have to perform the sequence of the Muk Yan Jong during her ceremony and I sent some days before a email with a video of a famous Master who broke an arm of the Muk Yan Jong during a demonstration of Jong .. hehehehe Like, if even with a renowned master unexpected situations happen right? But she was not intimidated .. hehe
from left to right in the photo above: Pedro, Erika, Guilherme and me.

Si Sok Felipe Soares said some words about what is a Traditional Ceremony for the presents.

The Ceremonial Table, represents the past of the Kung Fu Family, the new students represents the future, and the disciples represents the present.
Thats Daai Si Hing Leo Reis one of the disciples of Master Julio Camacho.
Si Sok Seabra também foi testemunha.

Si Sok Felipe Seabra (11G VT) was there too.

Thats me.
The jacket is the same of my grandpa , but the style "black cloth with white jacket"....
...deixaria Don Johnson do seriado MIAMI VICE orgulhoso!

...would make Don Johnson from MIAMI VICE proud of me! But I could not have the courage to wear that without socks like him on the TV SHOW...

...Cause the spanish singer Julio Iglesias also use suits and shoes without socks like Don Johnson used to do, and I didnt want the people think that I was a little Julio Iglesias!

As outras duas testemunhas foram Si Sok Fernanda Neves,Si Sok Ursula e Si Sok Carlos Rabelo.

The others Disciples were Si Sok Fernanda Neves,Si Sok Ursula and Si Sok Carlos Rabello.

Felipe Mury after a big effort and study, could be able to go to Canada to study there.
That was his last day in Rio (at least for a year) and he made his Ceremony to Biu Ji.
