Moy Yat Lineage in Singapore: Record Audience Figures

 

Nos últimos três anos e meio, tenho tido a oportunidade de ser beneficiado de inúmeras maneiras pela generosidade, paciência e capacidade de antecipação do Grão-Mestre Leo Imamura(foto acima), meu Si Gung 師公 (Shīgōng / 师公).

Acredito que a expressão que melhor traduz isso seja “abrir portas”. E uma dessas "portas abertas" pelo Si Gung 師公 (Shīgōng / 师公) para mim foi a de proporcionar não apenas um rico vocabulário e um vasto acervo, mas, principalmente, experiências que, além de valiosas, pertencem ao que chamamos de “Dimensão Kung Fu”.

O próprio Si Gung 師公 (Shīgōng / 师公) explica esse conceito:

“...'A Dimensão Kung Fu', termo cunhado pelo Professor Peimin Ni, designa um modo de existência no qual o cultivo de habilidades se integra à formação ética, perceptiva e prática da vida cotidiana. Nessa dimensão, o Kung Fu deixa de ser apenas técnica ou desempenho e passa a ser um processo contínuo de refinamento do agir. Aprender significa incorporar critérios por meio da prática, e não apenas acumular informações. Trata-se de uma visão em que excelência, caráter e ação correta se desenvolvem de maneira inseparável ao longo do tempo...”

O resultado de tudo isso são textos mais alinhados com a Linhagem Moy Yat em um blog que, ao mesmo tempo, não é um canal oficial da Linhagem, nem da organização Moy Yat Ving Tsun Safeguard Group, tampouco da International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation. Ainda assim, é escrito por alguém que representa legitimamente essas três instituições ligadas ao legado do Patriarca Moy Yat 梅逸 (Méi Yì / 梅逸) e que acredita que esse trabalho deve estar à altura dessa responsabilidade.

Em um mundo no qual a atenção em tarefas digitais tem diminuído continuamente, e onde a permanência média em uma única tela gira em torno de 47 segundos antes que a pessoa mude de foco, esta página resiste desde 2007. Sempre foi escrita com muito carinho e com especial predileção pela inspiração à assiduidade.

Nos últimos anos, o blog vinha registrando uma média entre 2.000 a 2.500 visualizações mensais, com picos ocasionais de 8.000 visitas. Números bastante distantes das mais de 80.000 visitas mensais alcançadas no início da década passada.

Entretanto, desde janeiro deste ano, a média voltou a crescer de maneira consistente, se estabilizando em aproximadamente 16.000 visitas mensais e chegando agora, no mês de maio, a quase 21.000 visitas no momento em que escrevo estas linhas.

Como se isso não bastasse, Singapura tornou-se responsável por cerca de 90% do público deste site.

Over the past three and a half years, I have had the opportunity to benefit in countless ways from the generosity, patience, and foresight of Grandmaster Leo Imamura(pictured above, my Si Gung 師公 (Shīgōng / 师公) ).

I believe the expression that best captures this is “opening doors”. One of these “doors opened” for me by Si Gung 師公 (Shīgōng / 师公) ) was the opportunity to acquire not only a rich vocabulary and extensive body of knowledge, but above all, experiences which, beyond their richness, belong to what we call the “Kung Fu Dimension”.

Si Gung 師公 (Shīgōng / 师公) ) himself explains this concept:

“...The ‘Kung Fu Dimension’, a term coined by Professor Peimin Ni, designates a mode of existence in which the cultivation of skills is integrated with the ethical, perceptive, and practical formation of everyday life. Within this dimension, Kung Fu ceases to be merely technique or performance and becomes a continuous process of refining one’s actions. Learning means incorporating criteria through practice, rather than simply accumulating information. It is a vision in which excellence, character, and correct action develop inseparably over time...”

The result of all this is a collection of texts more closely aligned with the Moy Yat Lineage, presented through a blog which, at the same time, is not an official channel of the Lineage, nor of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Safeguard Group organisation, nor of the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation. Nevertheless, it is written by someone who legitimately represents these three institutions connected to the legacy of Patriarch Moy Yat 梅逸 (Méi Yì / 梅逸) and who believes that this work should live up to such responsibility.

In a world where attention spans in digital tasks have continuously declined, and where the average time spent focused on a single screen is approximately 47 seconds before attention shifts elsewhere, this page has endured since 2007. It has always been written with great care and with a particular dedication to inspiring assiduity.

In recent years, the blog had been averaging between 2,000 and 2,500 monthly visits, with occasional peaks reaching 8,000 views. Numbers considerably distant from the more than 80,000 monthly visits achieved at the beginning of the previous decade.

However, since January this year, the figures have begun to rise consistently once again, stabilising at approximately 16,000 monthly visits and now reaching nearly 21,000 visits in May at the moment I write these lines.

As if this were not enough, Singapore has become responsible for approximately 90% of this website’s audience. In the video below, I leave my sincere gratitude.
