VING TSUN IN THE NEWSPAPER IN AN ARTICLE BY MASTER JULIO CAMACHO!

Aproveite!

You may not know but I graduated in 2008 in Biology and work in this business since 2002 . And thanks to frequent exposure to pyrethroid  present in insecticides which I work , I got super powers and became a practitioner of Ving Tsun, which is my secret identi ... Well, at least that is how I like to imagine ... lol

Actually a series of factors made possible for me that today I could also work with I LOVE, Ving Tsun. And so, the blog brings a newspaper article with Master Julio Camacho from the 90s, titled "MAKE IT HAPPEN".

This article is hosted by Mauro Lima, he sent to the BLOG!

Enjoy!

Arte Marcial diz respeito exatamente a ação.

MAKE IT HAPPEN by Julio Camacho

Martial Art requires movement. The ability to make things move, is what will  distinguish a true martial artist from a mere repeater of techniques. Often we see people with good ideas who can not get them out of the mental plane. They live surrounded by good intentions but do not act in order for that to occur.
Martial Art exact concerns  the  action. A true master necessarily mastered the ability to act. Their struggles are  in the arena of real life and his greatest victories in daily life.
In Ving Tsun, there is a theory that we call "Chung Chi." In general, we translate "Chung Chi" as "forward power " or "move forward".
That we train all the time bodily, creates an incredible ability to progress, to advance despite difficulties.
When we faced with someone who has "Chung Chi," we know that we are dealing with someone special, someone who does not let down and have a great resistance, and a unique ability to self-motivate and move on.
We are faced with someone who learn to fight for everything that he believes and to believe in everything that he fights for, finally, a person who will not give up until he gets to his victory.
Whenever we encounter such a person, we know that we are facing a true martial artist. You could say that the greatest power of the martial artist, is the power to make things happen. And this power is developed day by day, and naturally, as in all that is really important and definitive imperceptible.
One of the most fantastic benefits of Ving Tsun is the emotional preparation. This preparation is very important for us to act in times of trouble.
Let me illustrate, one of the most common reasons for not accomplishing something great is the lack of money. Well, I say that the real problem is not lack of money, but the emotional imbalance  caused by the lack of money.
The good Ving Tsun practitioner is trained to give his best to fight once more, just when they are needed. What for most people may present an obstacle or as something that will give up or slow down, to the person emotionally prepared for that situation, could act as an incentive to make things happen, to move it is around you and make a change.
Grand Master Moy Yat summarizes this idea with the phrase "Yiu Hau Pen Hou," which in its broadest sense can mean "You want to be good, you will be."

In a scenarioas beautiful as the island of Lost or the Nublar Island from Jurassic Park,Si Fu led some practitioners to practice Luk Din Bum Gwaan. Just 10 minutes from MYVT Barra Mo Gun, we have a lot of space to do this practice ...

It is known that in 60's, Si Taai Gung Moy Yat (left) unable to practice  Luk Din Bun Gwaan in Hong Kong for reasons of that time, he and a friend used to practice in a location away ...

Over 50 years later, in an idyllic setting in the othe side of the world, Carlos Antunes and Vladimir Anchieta practice Luk Din Bum gwaan.

The Luk Din Gwaan Bum is the fifth level of Ving Tsun, and is a very interesting study, because if you do not know how to work with it, it becomes a strenuous activity, so as to be traumatic for many people.

Carry the long poles inside a car is never easy, but we make a way anyway..lol
Carlos Antunes e Vlad praticando o Luk Din Bun Gwaan.

Carlos(red) and Vladimir practicing the Gwaan.

The position of the body at the time of the shooting, is unlike anything you've seen in Ving Tsun before this level. Unfortunately for me, it is very difficult to work, since one of my knees is completely  busted . But I still believe there is a position that allows me to work on it at a high level even in this state. Just could not find it yet.

Practicing outdoors or in different environments is always very good. I'm hoping that with this last Saturday, we are once again motivated to try new scenarios for our practice.

SI SOK ANDRÉ TALKING ABOUT "TIME"(Si Sok André fala sobre "Tempo") - New Legends of Kung Fu Masters

Those pictured here are me and my sister in 1991. It's the only picture I have here with a bicycle to illustrate this post. Actually I always enjoyed cto get around with bikes . I drive very badly, and I do not have much patience for traffic jams. So, I miss when I could do everything in my week, with only a bicycle. Also, go to the Ving Tsun ...
NEW LEGENDS OF KUNG FU MASTERS:
SI SOK ANDRÉ FALA SOBRE "TEMPO".
new legends of kung fu masters:
si sok andre' talks about "time".

In the photo alongside, we see the entrance to the old MYVT  Jacarepaguá Branch. There is at the door Si Mo in late 1999  painting the it.  Was at this Mo Gun that I was admitted to the Family , and as it was relatively close to my house and I was just a teenager, I used to go on foot or by bike.

In the left corner of this entry, where was I used to holding my bike. Or climbed with her up to half of the stairs and left her there ..

(2004: Me and Si Sok Andre - No chance against this man!)

Francois Julien, wrote in one of his books about Chinese Way, that the wise man , he does not teach or require to be followed. In fact, the simple fact that he will "always be there," he always comply with his obligations, he always keeps what  that he is committed to, it begins to affect everything around him, including people, by the simple fact of not "miss" with them. And Si Sok Andre was so, maybe you practice Ving Tsun your whole life and not know a guy as amazing as him. Well, I had this luck ...

(in the photo above, Fernando Xavier(çeft) simulates a fatal hit on Gil Batista at the old MYVT Branch in Jacarepagua neighborhood)

In the photo above, we see two great friends of mine in the Family: Fernando Xavier, who started with me. And Gil Batista, who studied with me during high school and then joined the Family. Once We were rebuilding the Mo Gun, everything was upside down. I knew all help was needed, but still did not interest me, within my limited vision at the time,I would not participate in anything that was not the practice. However, one evening in 2003, I was riding with my bike in front of the  Mo Gun in Jacarepaguá and saw Si Sok Andre by the window and decided go upstairs. When I got there, were the three: Him, Xavier and Gil.

I started talking to Xavier and Gil for nearly 40 minutes about my "Last Adventures" and even several times by noticing that Gil stopped what he was doing so through uncomfortable to listen to me, and that Xavier did not stop, just made a funny comment sometimes, I kept talking.

And then, without helping them in nothing, and also have talked non-stop, I said, "Guys, I'm going !"
And that was when Si Sok Andre asked to talk to me ...

(Em 2004 : Si Sok Felipe, eu e Si Sok André - manhã de Domingo no antigo prédio do Si Fu.)
(At the old Si Fu building in 2004: Si Sok Felipe, me and Si Sok André)

Tudo bem?
-Tudo. - respondi, apertei a mão dele e desci as escadas.

Si Sok Andre took me to a corner near the locker room, leaned against the wall with one hand and said:

-You saw what happened Thiago?
-No. - I Said after a while thinking.
-You came here, saw that damn work to be done, and still did not help  Gil and Xavier who were working. - Si Sok said in a tone of concern.
-yeah ...
-Thiagão("Big thiago" my nickname at the time), our time is very short, we can not waste as you just did. How long you stayed here? one hour? - He asked interrupting his reflection.
- 40 minutes. - I said
-You see?you have lost those 40 minutes. Thiagão, you need to pay more attention to how you are using your time. It is Not the first time it happens. But if you still do not want to watch it, at least not steal other people's time, as you did with Gil now. Okay?
-Yeah. - I said, I shook his hand and went downstairs.

9 years have passed since that conversation. I'm sure if I had participated in the work, I would not have had this awareness as when I did this mess. At this point, I do not see any more Si Sok or Si Hing stopping to sayvsomething like that to me. Maybe now, its my duty to do that  with the young ones.

But it remains very difficult to not waste time. I wonder what you are doing with yours now?

Master Julio Camacho talks on a Newspaper about Martial Arts ( Master Julio Camacho fala de Artes Marciais em jornal)

Acompanhe agora o texto!

In 1998, in an  newspaper from Rio, Si Fu at the time acting as a professional just three years, commented on the benefits from the "Martial Arts".

"It is common to relate the martial art techniques to a handful of punches and kicks in a stereotyped view from the movies, or violent tournaments where there is no art to see. However, before I start, I ask that you try to set aside all these pictures so we can talk about an authentic and healthy practice of martial art in its essence, and how it can act in our daily life, as a tool to improve the quality of life.
There is a strong tendency to the full development of the individual through the various bodywork, aiming, among other things, ease the tension caused by everyday problems. What I want in the next lines is to provide a brief explanation of why the correct practice of a martial art might prove the most effective tools in this regard.
When we speak of martial art, we must remember we are talking about art. For art, we understand the ability to create, free expression, to turn something into reality ... "
(Si Fu e Gilson no Rio de Janeiro, anos 90)
(Si Fu and Gilson in Rio de Janeiro, the 90's)

"... Martial comes from Mars, the god of war in Greek and Roman mythology. This war is symbolized by the challenge to fight, day after day, against our own fears and insecurities. A true martial artist expresses his art in his gestures, movements and actions, every time.

We know that as higher the state of tension of a given person, the lower his capacity  of perception and action. We can also say that one of the main goals of a true martial art is to lead the person to a state of total relaxation, where it can expand your awareness, deciding and acting immediately with safety, precision and determination. But why then gestures of fighting?
If you think about it, we see that the moment of our lives with more tension, perhaps are the moments when we must defend this same life. This is a basic instinct for self-preservation and it is precisely here that the martial art is contextualized. If a person can stay relaxed even in a situation of extreme crisis, it can implement the same state to everyday situations, by definition, less tense ... "

(The young Si Fu with mullets! With the also young at the time, Si Sok Fabio Gomes: The 90's)

Julio Camacho (Moy Jo Lei Ou)"

"... Thats why, the gestures of combat. In order to reach this state without having to actually fight. It is scientifically proved that the subconscious does not distinguish between a real or fictitious situation.
The movements are designed to, in a supra-rational process, reconnect human beings to their deepest core, so he has a chance to know them better and above all, have control over them.
The real struggle takes place in their life and daily struggle for this is that the true martial artist prepares every moment.

How is MYVT Meier after Si Gung departure (Como ficou o Méier depois da partida de Si Gung)

After Si Gung was gone, I met Si Fu two days after, at the Mo Gun in Barra da Tijuca, just with him to honor the ancestors in this new moment, including performing the Kow Tow [磕頭] in front of the picture of Grand Master Moy Yat. 'Cause the date of May 26, was not chosen at random for the inauguration. It turns out that on May 26, 2007, was the day of my Baai Si (拜師). Thus this meeting with Si Fu and the Kow Tow, was a symbol of this renewed commitment as a descendant of this lineage. It certainly was a very special moment ...

Since Si Gung came, it seems that something has changed in MYVT Meier. Everybody is very excited, and soon after his coming, they kept commenting on how was the experience.

Those unable to attend,  asked to share what happened.

So we are experiencing a new era. Even practitioners who was still maintaining an attitude of going to the  Mo Gun for his schedule and go back home, are with a new attitude: They arrive, practice until such time as they think is good for them and the  Mo Gun and go.

This facilitates us to have another type of involvement, which often require more than an hour and a half of practice. Everyone seems to be more relaxed, and  Mo Gun is also more looking like home than before ... And even funnier, is to see how even those who were not physically present during Si Gung´s visit, become attuned to the whole ...

On the morning of last Sunday, we had a great opportunity to attend the genealogy seminar, which is part of the  MYVT Program with Si Gung.

For me in particular was sensational. That's because it's not just sit there and keep telling the stories of our ancestors, but to understand how historical records are cataloged in Chinese culture,  videos filmed in the region near the Shaolin Temple by Moy Yat clan, a very cohesive discussion on the origin of Ving Tsun, etc. ...

The main hall of our  Mo gun became a great center of knowledge. Si Gung shared with us some very interesting videos as the ascent leading to the Shaolin Temple (Siu Lam) in Fukien. Videos of the temple itself wich has been rebuilt.

Cynthia keeps her attention, Luciano follows using the seminar book, and Guilherme, well, he fall asleep a little...lol

We were there from 8 am to 2 pm, and after that we went to the airport to say goodbye to Si Gung.

Si Gung vai embora , e deixa muitas saudades.

Andre' Almeida, represented the Méier Branch, we also had Si Sok Flavio Caxiano and Si Sok Domenico , as well Si Sok Diego in the departure.

Si Gung went away leting us with great memories, for me was one of the best seminars with him!

E não perca na semana que vem!!

Dont miss next week!
