Quando se acessa o Sistema Tradicional no Grande Clã Moy Yat Sang, o praticante é admitido antes em uma Família Kung Fu. É necessário que a pessoa faça parte de uma Família Kung Fu, para que possa ter acesso ao Sistema Ving Tsun e os conhecimentos que o Líder desta Família resolver compartilhar.
Para fazer parte de uma Família Kung Fu, é necessário que a pessoa seja indicada por um outro membro da Família ou que seja convidado pelo próprio Líder desta. Para que esta admissão seja formalizada, ocorre um processo cerimonial no qual a presença deste candidato, de um apresentador formal (Gaai Siu Yan) e do Líder da Família (Si Fu) ou de um representante nomeado por ele, se faz necessária.
Porém, como se faz para retornar à Família Kung Fu uma vez tendo se afastado?

Si Fu esteve em 2009 no Templo Shaolin no sul da China. Na ocasião, ele teve a oportunidade de apreciar uma refeição feita com alimentos cultivados pelos próprios monges do local. Diferente do templo ao norte da China, o Templo Shaolin do Sul não tem viés turístico e por conta disso, os monges podem produzir seu próprio alimento com mais tranquilidade.
Na ocasião, Si Fu foi servido por monges jovens, alguns deles ainda eram crianças. Ele observou, que muitos deles tinham curativos na cabeça.

Si Fu was in 2009 at the Shaolin Temple in southern China. On occasion, he had the opportunity to enjoy a meal made with food grown by the local monks themselves. Unlike the temple in northern China, the Southern Shaolin Temple has no tourist bias and because of this, monks can produce their own food more peacefully.
At the time, Si Fu was served by young monks, some of them were still children. He noted that many of them had bandages on their heads.

Segundo os ensinamentos que Si Taai Gung Moy Yat deixou para Si Gung. É sabido, que abaixo da mesa ancestral , a qual chamamos de "Sam Toi", pode vir a aparecer um bastão de sândalo. A Família Kung Fu demonstrará maturidade ao ponto que este bastão estiver coberto de poeira, pois este , é um sinal de desuso. Isso porque, para os monges que dormem enquanto meditam, o Si Fu os acerta com um na cabeça. Os monges, principalmente mais jovens despertam, porém, segundo Si Fu, isso não é o suficiente. Pois a qualquer momento, o Si Fu os acerta com o bastão mesmo acordados e atentos. Pois como a vida, as vezes você pode estar vivendo um bom momento , e mesmo assim ela o acertará sem piedade. Assim é com o bastão de sândalo , e assim é com a vida.

Com os anos, vemos as pessoas se afastarem da Família Kung Fu pelos motivos mais diversificados, porém, existe uma gama de razões que não varia muito: "Você vê, isso não é necessário. Realmente precisa a pessoa vir, ter essa conversa triste e sair andando até o elevador desse jeito? " - Disse Si Fu quando um To Dai seu se afastou depois de longa conversa. Com os anos, vemos pessoas muito especiais e com potenciais incríveis indo embora do "Mo Lam". Algumas vezes, por falta de tempo, falta de dinheiro , etc... Acontece que somos preparados diariamente para encontrarmos justificativas nos momentos de adversidade ou simplesmente de falta de interesse, mas acabamos por nos deparar com a figura do Si Fu. Essa talvez seja a única pessoa da face da terra, que você não encontrará eco , e por essa razão, para não ter que se deparar com uma solução simples para um problema que parecia enorme, muitos praticantes se afastam sem comunicar ao Si Fu presencialmente. Falo disso, porque a falta de compromisso com quase tudo em nosso mundo é muito grande, e simplesmente desaparecemos. Mas com o Si Fu, este foi o mesmo que presencialmente lhe recebeu na Família Kung Fu, espera-se que presencialmente você diga "Até breve" ou "Adeus".

Mas de todos os tipos de "afastamento" da Família, posso dizer sem dúvidas que os piores são aqueles em que você sai "magoado" ou se sentindo "culpado" por algo.
Dizem, que o Templo Shaolin foi incendiado porque um monge teria envenenado a água do Templo matando quase todos os residentes, abrindo caminho para as tropas de Qing incendiarem o que restou. Essa história fala também do quanto alguém com a visão turva e que acumula sentimentos ruins pode "contaminar" pessoas ao seu redor, mas principalmente a si mesmo.  E infelizmente, algumas contaminações, sejam elas : Mágoas, culpa, raiva, etc...  São pra sempre se não cuidarmos.

Se me perguntassem qual a coisa mais importante que fiz em toda a minha trajetória no Ving Tsun, diria sem dúvidas que foi quando aluguei um dos Mo Gun da Barra em meu nome. Talvez para você que leia, não fique claro o quanto isso significou para mim, mas pude me sentir, num momento adverso, realmente útil à Família Kung Fu.
Anos antes, caminhando pelo Shopping Downtown, Si Fu teria dito: "...O segredo é ter um coração grande e uma memória ruim..." - Se ele realmente não tivesse agido assim comigo, eu não teria tido a chance de me desenvolver e contribuir com a Família Kung Fu, como me senti fazendo naquele momento.

If you would ask me the most important thing I have done in my whole Ving Tsun career, I would say without a doubt that it was when I rented one of the Mo Gun in Barra neighborhood in my name for Si Fu. Perhaps for you to read, it is not clear how much this meant to me, but I could feel, in an adverse moment, really useful to the Kung Fu Family.
Years before, walking by the Downtown Shopping Mall, Si Fu would have said, "... The secret is to have a big heart and a bad memory ..."-  If he really had not acted like this with me, I would not have had the chance to develop myself from a fool to a man and contribute to the Kung Fu Family, as I felt myself doing at that moment.

Voltar para a Família Kung Fu é simplesmente uma questão de decisão. Entender a necessidade de limpar o coração de medos, receios, mágoas ou seja lá o que tiver feito você se afastar. Talvez, quando você volte, você descubra que as coisas tenham mudado um pouco, mas não o suficiente para deixar você de fora. Porém, faz-se importante saber, que a Família Kung Fu não é um grupo congregacional , é uma "Família de Guerra" e você vai tomar "porrada" hora ou outra. A intensidade? Bem, a circunstância vai dizer. A Família Kung Fu nem o Si Fu podem ser do jeito que você quer que sejam, mas talvez seja melhor assim, pois quem sabe, é a sua única chance de não encontrar eco para seus medos.


Going back to the Kung Fu Family is simply a matter of decision. Understand the need to cleanse the heart of fears, sorrows or whatever has made you turn away. Maybe, when you come back, you'll find that things have changed a bit, but not enough to leave you out. However, it is important to know that the Kung Fu Family is not a congregational group, it is a "Family of War" and you will be "beaten" one hour or another. The intensity? Uma postagem mais do que especial , que registra os dois primeiros convites para "Baai Si" de membros da Décima Terceira Geração da Linhagem Moy Yat no Brasil. Um pouco destes dois momentos tão marcantes com meus To Dai Vitor Sá e Keith Markus, que manifestam mais uma vez, o trabalho bem feito de meu Si Fu Julio Camacho com o Ving Tsun no Rio de Janeiro...

A more than special post, which records the first two invitations to "Baai Si" from members of the Thirteenth Generation of the Moy Yat Lineage in Brazil. Lembro que certa vez, caminhava com um amigo numa tarde nublada...A vida era boa, mas faltava uma coisa. Naquela época, tinha algo que eu queria muito, mas estava difícil de conseguir. Comentei com ele, que faria um plano para que dali a um mês pudesse alcançar meu objetivo. Ele riu. Não critico ele, realmente parecia impossível. Quando cheguei em casa, comentei com meu primo que morava comigo. Ele também riu (risos). Estávamos em Setembro e foi só em 20 de Janeiro de 2004 que alcancei meu objetivo. Ainda faltavam três anos para fazer meu "Baai Si", mas de alguma forma, me senti grato ao meu Si Fu pelo feito impossível.  Me senti grato, pelo fato dele ter levado a sério meu objetivo, talvez mais do que eu mesmo. Porém, principalmente, por ter me deparado com um nova habilidade que não lembrava de ter aprendido: A capacidade de fazer com que cada movimento meuu , pelo tempo que for necessário, tenha como única função, o objetivo final.

I remember one time walking with a friend on a cloudy afternoon ... Life was good, but something was missing. At that time, there was something I wanted very much, but it was difficult to achieve. I commented with him that I would make a plan so that within a month I could reach my goal. He laughed. I do not criticize him, it really seemed impossible. I still had three years to do my "Baai Si", but somehow, I felt grateful to my Si Fu for the impossible achievement. I felt grateful that he had taken my purpose seriously, perhaps more than myself. But mainly because I came across a new skill that I did not remember learning: The ability to make each movement of mine, for as long as necessary, have the sole purpose, to reach the ultimate goal.

 Então em Maio de 2007 realizei o "Baai Si" com meu Si Fu e assim, estabelecemos um vínculo para toda a vida. Isso é importante, porque a relação Si Fu-To Dai é por natureza, desequilibrada. O Si Fu desempenha uma posição de ascendência com relação ao To Dai, de forma que na busca pela aproximação e encurtamento desta distância, o To Dai possa aprender. O que? Não sei exatamente... Talvez um pouco de tudo, como no meu caso. E você vai encontrar discípulos ou mesmo não-discípulos que vão tentar manipular o cenário, os irmãos Kung Fu ou mesmo o Si Fu para que esta distância diminua ou deixe de existir... O Si Fu que foi preparado para isso, estará atento. Para os discípulos que forem pacientes o suficiente, notarão que haverá um momento em que será o Si Fu a propor o equilíbrio da relação... E veja só: Será o To Dai a buscar o desequilibrio novamente nesta hora. Não só por respeito, mas para que continue havendo um espaço vazio a ser preenchido.

 Tenho 18 anos na Família Kung Fu, e destes 18, 10 são como discípulo. Isso me dá uma série de histórias para contar por aqui, certo? Como Si Fu, o tempo é bem menor. Pouco mais de um ano para ser mais preciso.. (risos). E foi nesse curto espaço de tempo, que conheci algumas das pessoas mais incríveis e dedicadas, com quem já vivi. Dentre elas, estão meus To Dai Vitor Sá (de branco) e Keith Markus (de preto).
Por conta do amadurecimento de 14 anos do meu Si Fu como Líder de Família, os processos de Provimento de Vida Kung Fu estão muito mais avançados do que na época em que fui convidado para o "Baai Si" a dez anos atrás. Talvez por esse seu excelente trabalho, pude receber estes primeiros To Dai num ambiente muito mais favorável a relações próximas.

I am 18 years old in the Kung Fu Family, and from these 18 year, 10 as a disciple. That gives me a lot of stories to talk about here, right? As a Si Fu, the time is much shorter. Because of the 14 year maturity of my Si Fu as a Family Leader, Kung Fu Life processes are much more advanced than when I was invited to "Baai Si" ten years ago. Perhaps because of his excellent work, I was able to receive these first To Dai in a much more favorable environment for close relations.

O primeiro membro a ser convidado foi Keith Markus(foto à esquerda). O convite para discipulado ocorreu no Restaurante Chinatown no bairro da Tijuca. O Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou como é sabido, realiza o processo de discipulado em três etapas: Um convite durante uma refeição organizado pelo próprio candidato e seu "Gaai Siu Yan", a Cerimônia de Discipulado em si e finalmente, um terceiro momento no qual ocorre a entrega do "Nome Kung Fu".

The first member to be invited was Keith Markus ( left). The invitation to discipleship took place at the Chinatown Restaurant in the Tijuca neighborhood. The Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan as you know, perform the discipleship process in three steps: An invitation during a meal organized by the candidate himself and his "Gaai Siu Yan", the Discipleship Ceremony itself and finally, a third moment in which the delivery of the "Kung Fu Name" occurs.

Markus foi apresentado por Rodrigo Moreira, meu irmão Kung Fu que é "Gaai Siu Yan" de muitos membros de minha Família Kung Fu. A partir daquela noite, um novo capítulo no Ving Tsun da Linhagem Moy Yat no Brasil passava a ser escrito: Teríamos o primeiro discípulo de Décima Terceira Geração.

Markus was introduced by Rodrigo Moreira, my Kung Fu brother  who is "Gaai Siu Yan" of many members of my Kung Fu Family. From that night, a new chapter in the Ving Tsun of the Moy Yat Lineage in Brazil came to be written: We would have the first disciple of Thirteenth Generation.

Markus, que levou sua esposa ao jantar(foto), parece ser apaixonado por artes marciais desde muito tempo. Tem algumas passagens por outras instituições, mas sempre quis aprender o Ving Tsun. Desde o início de sua prática, se envolveu muito profundamente com a Família Kung Fu e particularmente comigo. Já não sou mais capaz de lembrar a última semana em que não nos falamos sobre algum tema que estava relacionado ao bem estar da Família.
Segundo Markus , ele se vê muito satisfeito por ter se tornado membro da Família Kung Fu nesse seu momento de vida, pois o seu momento profissional e pessoal , permite a ele que viva intensamente a relação Si Fu-To Dai.

Markus, who took his wife to dinner (photo), seems to be passionate about martial arts since a long time. It has some passages by other institutions, but always wanted to learn the Ving Tsun. From the beginning of his practice, he became deeply involved with the Kung Fu Family and particularly with me. I can no longer remember the last week when we did not talk about something that was related to the well-being of the Family.
According to Markus, he is very pleased to have become a member of the Kung Fu Family at this time of his life, because his professional and personal moment allows him to live intensely the Si Fu-To Dai relationship. 


Naquela ocasião, Si Fu não pôde comparecer. Porém, decidiu se fazer presente, através de uma mensagem emocionante e que muito nos honrou naquela noite:

Algumas semanas depois, ocorreu o convite de Vitor Sá. E desta vez, Si Fu pôde comparecer , o que enriqueceu ainda mais o evento. Penso, que talvez só vejamos a importância de seu apoio incondicional à minha Família Kung Fu daqui a muitos anos. E no mundo das artes marciais, o simples fato do Si Fu estar presente, já quer dizer muito sobre o que está sendo feito.

A few weeks later Vitor Sá's invitation came. And this time, Si Fu was able to attend, which further enriched the event. I think we may just see the importance of his unconditional support for my Kung Fu Family in many years. Vitor Sá, levou sua esposa, sua mãe e um primo que considera irmão ao jantar. Vitor tem quase o dobro de meu tamanho e um coração tão grande quanto. Sua paixão desenfreada pelo Flamengo e jogos de futebol, me levaram a voltar a prestar atenção a este esporte novamente. E mais uma vez, Rodrigo Moreira foi o "Gaai Siu Yan". A presença de Si Fu abrilhantou o jantar, pois sua visão madura deste processo , trouxe um peso ainda maior ao que simbolicamente, já era forte.

Por conta da presença de Si Fu, a dinâmica do jantar foi bem diferente, e pude falar um pouco da minha própria visão a respeito do discipulado e do que ele significa para mim. Confesso que acabei me emocionando.

Parece que uma nova aventura começa agora bem diante dos nossos olhos! Esta página, que começou a ter suas primeiras linhas escritas quase junto ao meu discipulado, passa a registrar agora, os primeiros passos de meus próprios discípulos a partir da Cerimônia que ocorrerá em Novembro.

 Por muitas vezes, nao entendi muitas das decisões , ações e ideias de Si Fu. E quer saber? Ainda não entendo muitas delas (risos). Em várias oportunidades, achei que ele poderia ter feito de um jeito diferente. Porém, agora cabe a mim não cometer um erro clássico do mundo das artes marciais: "O Si Fu da geração seguinte uerer fazer melhor do que o seu próprio Si Fu".  Acho eu, que mais do que nunca, devo segui-lo bem de perto, pois acredito que na tentativa de refinar, ajustar ou qualquer coisa parecida, será exatamente o momento de fissura. E não é isso que queremos!
