Há cinco anos atrás , o Yam Cha de abertura de ano foi na residência da Discipula de Si Fu Julio Camacho, Xenia D'avila. Membros queridos como: Enio Correa, Paula Gama, Gil Batista e Teonice Lira estavam lá!

Five years ago, the first Yam Cha of the years was at Xenias D'avila´s house. She is a Si fu Julio Camacho´s Disciple. At the time, attended there some great practitioners like:  Gil Batista, Paula Gama, Enio Correa and Teonice Lira.

Há cinco anos, o jantar de Ano Novo Chinês no Rio de Janeiro, aconteceu num restaurante em Copacabana, com a presença de Si Sok Leonardo Mordente, e a minha professora de Chinês Sra. Lily.

Five Years Ago, The Chinese New Year Dinner in Rio, was held at a Restaurant in Copcabana. Si Sok Leonardo Mordente and the chinese Teacher Lily, were there!

Há cinco anos, uma peça sobre Ving Tsun começava a tomar forma. E como consultor, 

Si Sok Leonardo Mordente foi convidado para visitar o Rio de Janeiro!

A Ving Tsun play was going to be performed in Rio, and Si Sok Leonardo Mordente, five years ago, came from Belo Horizonte to be the consultant for the play.

Há cinco anos, enquanto eu , Si Sok Diego e Carlos Reis nos tornavamos seguranças no Scala, Si fu, Teonice Lira, Vidal, Xenia D'avila e uma jovem Jade Camacho, assistiram os monges Shaolin visitando o 

Rio de Janeiro num espetáculo internacional!

Five years ago, While me, Si Sok Diego and Carlos Reis, started to work as security staff at a Night Club in Rio, Si Fu, Xenia, Vidal , Teonice and a very young Jade, attended to the Shaolin Monks show in Rio!

Há cinco anos, Si Fu demonstrava pela primeira vez o Muk Yan Jong numa Cerimônia em função do acesso de Paula Gama e Xenia D'avila a este nível.

Five years ago, Si Fu made the Hoi Jong for the first time in public at Xenia´s house. 'Cause she and Paula Gama were going to start the Muk Yan Jong.

E na mesma noite, também há cinco anos, o primeiro membro da Familia Moy Jo Lei Ou acessou o nivel superior final Baat Jaam Do: o Daai Si Hing Leonardo Reis.

At the same night, the first Moy Jo Lei Ou Family member accessed the Baat Jaam Do level: Daai Si Hing Leo reis.

Um dos grandes eventos sem duvidas de cinco anos atrás foi a volta triunfal de Stallone aos cinemas!!

Also, five years ago, Si Fu, Si Mo, and some members of the Clan from Rio, went to Argentina, to celebrate Si gung´s birthday there!

Há cinco anos atrás, neste mesmo local, Espaço Dharma, eu ajudava Si Sok Ursula nas sessões. E foi nesta época, que comecei a coordenar meus primeiros treinos.

I was just a student from Science College , when I started to help Si Sok there five years ago. And was at tthe time, when I coordenated my first Ving Tsun class!

E foi há cinco anos, que: Eu, Si Sok Diego, Paula Gama, Mariana Serpa, Jade Camacho e Cristiano "The Goldman" Chaves, nos apresentamos para 1.106 pessoas no teatro da UERJ.

Five years ago, I started to write on the Peartree´s Blog.

Man that was a huge moment in my story. But this simple Blog is just ON because of the power of our Family! Thanks to you , who shared your stories, photos and memories with me.

But listen to me friend, no one can write a post so good, that will become better than experience Ving Tsun itself!

This Blog is about frozen moments of our lives, and not even 500 posts will replace 5 minutes with your Si fu!

SI FU TALKS DEEPLY ABOUT SIU NIM TAU AT MEIER MO GUN!

Nesta Quarta Si Fu começou esse novo processo de visitas semanais ao Méier, e logo no primeiro dia, foi muito marcante para todos. Membros da Familia Kung Fu que estavam longe reapareceram, outros que nunca estiveram no Méier conheceram o local.                                                    
Foram momentos muito agradáveis na presença de Si Fu que deu um upgrade no Kung dos presentes nesta tarde...

In this Wednesday Si Fu started this new process of weekly visits to Meier Mo Gun, and in the first day, was very important for everyone.Kung Fu  Family members wich were far reappeared, others have never been in Meier knew the place.

IWere very nice moments in the presence of Si Fu whog gave an upgrade in the Kung Fu of the present people this afternoon ...

Quando Si Fu chegou, alguns praticantes já tinham ido. Outros tinham chegado e outros mais a caminho. Idenpendente disso, a boa surpresa ficou por conta da presença de Si Sok Homero, um grande amigo e praticante desde 1993. Foi uma honra tê-lo conosco!

When Si Fu arrived, some students had already gone. Others had arrived and more were coming. The big surprise was because of the presence of Si Sok Homero Pereira, a great friend and practitioner since 1993. It was an honor to have him with us!

Si Fu propôs que os presentes fizessem qualquer pergunta referente a Ving Tsun. Na foto, vemos o momento em que Ailton falava sobre uma situação, e de como o Ving Tsun poderia atuar sobre ela.

Si Fu explicou aos presentes usando a duvida de Ailton, sobre um profundo significado e entendimento dos ideogramas presentes em "Siu Nim Tau" elucidando a todos muito mais sobre o tema e sobre a prática do Ving tsun.

Si Fu explained to the present using the doubts by Ailton on a deeper meaning and understanding of the ideograms found in "Siu Nim Tau" elucidating all much more about the subject and on the practice of 

Ving Tsun.

小念頭

Acima, vemos os ideogramas de "Siu Nim Tau"(小念頭). Todos traduzimos (Nim Tau 念頭) como "idéia do início",mas " Nim tau 念頭"quando traduzido como expressão única, significa "Intenção". Assim, a brincadeira no filme, é que Fung Wah diz que Leung Jaan pede que os alunos tenham uma "Pequena Intenção"(Siu Nim Tau 小念頭) onde "pequena" é representada por este ideograma (小).

Above, we see the ideographs of "Siu Nim Tau" (小 念頭). everyone translates (Nim Tau 念頭) as "initial dea " but "Nim Tau 念頭" when translated as a single expression, means "intention". Thus, the joke in the film, is that Fung Wah says that his Si Fu Leung Jaan asks that students have a "Little Intent" (Siu Nim Tau 小 念頭) where "small" is represented by this ideogram (小).

 Si Fu tratou exatamente deste tema de maneira bem profunda com os presentes, comentando inclusive que o fato do Siu Nim Tau vir primeiro, não é por acaso. Entre outras questões práticas, você só começa a apreciar o Ving Tsun de fato, quando suas "intenções" com a arte diminuem, e você simplesmente a vivencia.

Porque se por exemplo, você busca concentração enquanto pratica, no momento em que pensou nisso, a oportunidade já passou. Então qualquer intenção, te afasta ainda mais do objeto de sua intenção.

Si Fu addressed exactly this issue for quite deep with gifts, including commenting on the fact that the Siu Nim Tau comes first, not by chance. Among other practical issues, you only get ready to enjoy the Ving Tsun in fact, when your "intentions" with the art declines, and you just experience it.

Because if for example you search while practicing for concentration, at the time you thought of it, the opportunity has passed. So any intention, makes you always away from the object of your intention.

THE ETHICS AT THE TABLE ( A ÉTICA CHINESA À MESA)

A cena abaixo , é do filme Warriors Two de 1982, estrelando Sammo Hung e Casanova Wong. Na cena abaixo, Leung Jaan é abordado num restaurante por dois rufiões. Repare no que ele faz com as mãos, após um deles lhe servir chá:

Certa vez, o imperador estava desconfiado de que havia um traidor dentre os homens que cuidavam de sua segurança. Assim sendo, pediu ao seu homem mais confiável que o infiltrasse em sua tropa para que descobrisse quem era.

Numa noite, o imperador estava sentado ao lado desse general, numa mesa com vários outros soldados. O imperador então observou que copo de chá do general estava vazio, e logo o encheu.

Once the emperor was suspicious that there was a traitor among men who cared for his safety. So he asked his most trusted man that infiltrate him in his  troops to find out who it was. 
One night, the emperor was sitting next to this trusted general, in a table with several other soldiers. The emperor then noted that the general's cup of tea was empty, and soon filled with more tea.

O general ficou estarrecido, pois aos olhos dos demais, aquele era um gesto simples, mas ele sabia que aquele homem era o imperador disfarçado. Só que se ao agradecer ele fizesse o recomendado que era o Kow Tao (encostar testa, duas mãos e joelhos ao chão 3 vezes) o disfarce do imperador seria revelado. assim sendo, ele colocou os dedos indicador e médio sobre a mesa, e os dobrou 3 vezes, como se representassem alguém ajoelhando-se. Com o passar dos anos, este ato, passou a ser representado por 3 simples toques na mesa, sempre que alguém lhe serve alguma coisa.

The general was astonished, because for the eyes of others, it was a simple gesture, but he knew that man was the emperor in disguise. Only if thanking him do that was recommended Kow Tao (touch forehead, two hands and knees to the floor three times) the disguise of the emperor would be revealed. therefore, he put his index and middle fingers on the table, and folded three times, as if they represented someone kneeling. Over the years, this act came to be represented by three simple touches on the table, whenever someone serves you something.

Em Hong Kong, Si Fu serve chá para Si Taai Po Helen Moy observado no canto esquerdo por Si Baak Gung Micky Chan em mesa que contava com a presença de Tsui Chong Tin. Discipulo de Ip Man e integrante de sua primeira geração de alunos em Hong Kong.

É de praxe a mesa, que o mais novo sempre sirva o mais antigo. Mas nada na cultura chinesa é uma regra definida. O copo de ninguém nunca pode estar vazio, principalmente o do mais antigo presente. E a maneira mais sutil da pessoa dizer que não quer mais, é simplesmente deixando seu copo cheio.

It is usual in the table, the youngest  to serve the oldest. But nothing in Chinese culture is a set rule. The glass of one can never be empty, especially the oldest present. And the more subtle way of saying that  does not want more tea, is simply leaving your glass full.

Quando estamos com fome, geralmente só pensamos em nós mesmos. Queremos ser os primeiros a comer, se nossa comida vem antes da pessoa ou pessoas que estão conosco nós começamos a comer primeiro, só lembramos de pedir mais comida para nós mesmos. Mas , se temos Kung Fu, mesmo num momento de crise como quando estamos com fome, ainda assim, teremos capacidade de pensar no outro antes de comermos.

When we are hungry, usually we only think of ourselves. We want to be the first to eat, our food comes before the person or persons who are with us we start to eat first and dont care about the other, just remember to ask for more food for ourselves. But if we know Kung Fu, even at a time of crisis as when we are hungry, yet we have the ability to think on the other before we eat.

Na cena abaixo, também da novela "Wing Chun" que Si gung gentilmente deixou comigo em 2010. Vemos  Leung Jaan (Yuen Biao) sentado a mesa com inúmeros Mestre de Faat San. E em determinado momento, um scholar da cidade, pede a ele que fale sobre as ´"Eticas nas Artes Marciais". Ao mesmo tempo, o dono do restaurante e seu amigo, Cai, descobre que Leung Bik está numa briga do lado de fora. Para não deixar Leung Jaan "perder a cara" diante dos demais,nem atrapalhar a conversa, Cai finge ir buscar mais vinho, e pede a seu filho que não deixe Leung jaan saber de nada:

In the scene below, also from the  "Wing Chun" soup-opera that Si Gung kindly let with me in 2010. We see a scene where Leung Jaan (Yuen Biao) is seated at the table with numerous Masters from Faat San. And at one point, a scholar of the city, asks him to talk about, '"Ethics in the Martial Arts." At the same time, the restaurant owner and his friend, Cai, discovers that Leung Bik is in a fight outside. Not to leave Leung Jaan "lose face" in front of others or disrupt the conversation, Cai pretends to go get more wine, and asks his son to not to let Leung jaan about anything:

Muitas vezes , o motivo de estarmos à mesa, está muito além de simplesmente comermos. Quase sempre estamos ali para discutirmos assuntos importantes. Mas mesmo quando é simplesmente para passarmos um tempo juntos, é importante não intorremper o fluxo da mesa. Quem tiver mais Kung Fu, vai conseguir fazer a comida continuar chegando, deixar todos comendo , saber a hora de pedir a sobremesa, e saber como fechar a conta.
Dar um soco na hora certa, chutar quando se deve chutar, é ótimo. Mas transpor esses conceitos para o nosso dia-a-dia é o verdadeiro desafio de todo o praticante!

Often the reason we are at the table, is far beyond simply eating. Almost always we are there to discuss important issues. But even when it is simply to spend time together, it is important not intorremper the flow of the table. Who has more Kung Fu, will continue to make the food coming, let everyone eating, knowing when to ask for the dessert, and know how to close the account.

Punch at the right time or to kick when you have to kick, it's great. But transpose these concepts to our day-to-day is the true challenge of any practitioner!

TRAIINING MORNING AT MOY YAT VING TSUN RIO DE JANEIRO.

No último Sábado tivemos momentos muito marcantes quando os membros do Núcleo Copacabana , organizaram-se para estarem conosco praticando no Núcleo Barra.
Este tipo de iniciativa possibilita uma troca de experiência indispensável para qualquer pessoa aumentar o potencial do seu Kung Fu. Se fosse um RPG você subiria de level, entende?rs

On the last Saturday we had very striking moments when members of the MYVT Copacabana Branch, organized themselves to be practicing with us at the Myvt Barra Branch. 
This type of initiative provides an exchange of experience indispensable for anyone to increase the potential of your Kung Fu. If it was an RPG you would have Level Up, you know? lol

Acontece que enquanto isso, na sala de Si Fu Julio Camacho, Carlos Antunes e Pedro Correa quebravam a cabeça para trazer a fiação necessária pelas paredes a fim de ligar a TVpara Si Fu.

While people were trainning, Carlos Antunes(left) and Pedro(right) were trying to install a TV in 

Si Fu´s room.

  Alguns praticantes com mais de 10 anos de prática, como Cristiano "The Goldman" Chaves (de costas em primeiro plano) também estiveram presentes.

Some members like Cristiano "The Goldman" Chaves(right) were presents too. Cris has more than 10 years of practice.

Em outra sala, o Si Hing mais antigo da FAmilia Moy Jo Lei Ou, ajuda seu Si Sok Homero Pereira, membro desde 1993, a usar o Do.

Si Hing Leo , ganhou mais um apelido esta semana , mais precisamente na Quinta-feira de 

"Ícone de Combate". hehe  E isso não é culpa minha.rs

In another room, our Daai Si Hing, Leonardo Reis(left), was helpping his Si Sok Homero to use the Do.

Si Hing Leo also earned a new nickname this week by a Si Dai of him: "Combat  Icon" hahaha and this is not my fault!

O dia terminou com um almoço no restaurante próximo ao Mo Gun, onde por quase duas horas conversamos sobre diferentes temas, com espaço para todos se colocarem.

The end came after a very fun lunch time at the restaurant near to our Mo Gun where we could tak about a lot of subjects.

TWO NEW MEMBERS IN MOY YAT CLAN´S MOY JO LEI OU FAMILY IN RIO ( DOIS NOVOS MEMBROS NA FAM. MOY JO LEI OU!)

Na última Quinta-feira a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou ganhou dois novos membros: Fabio Sá e Vinicius Teixeira, ambos praticantes do Mo Gun desta Familia Kung Fu no Méier.

Após passarem a tarde da ultima Quinta-feira com seu Si Fu Julio Camacho  e outros irmãos Kung Fu praticando, conversando, cuidando do Mo Gun ,etc... Todos foram jantar juntos no restaurante próximo ao Mo Gun da Barra. E mesmo a incrivel jaqueta de motociclismo de Claudio Teixeira,que não aparece na foto..rs Não conseguiu ofuscar esse grande momento para Fabio e Vinicius, bem como para Si Fu e os Si Hing(s) e Si Sok(s) que estavam ali presentes.

In last Thursday Moy Jo Lei Ou Kung Fu Family from Rio´s Moy Yat Clan gained two new members: 
Fabio Sá(you read "sá" as "SAH!) and Vinicius Teixeira(in portuguese "x" has the sound of "SH"), both practitioners of  Kung Fu Family´s Meier Mo Gun.

After spending the afternoon of last Thursday with their Si Fu Julio Camacho and other Kung Fu brothers practicing, talking, caring for  Mo Gun, etc. ... All were dining together at a restaurant near the Mo Gun. And even the incredible motorcycle jacket that Claudio Teixeira eas wearing(not in this photo) lol .. hehe not managed to overshadow this great moment for Fabio and Vinicius, as well as for Si Fu and Si Hing (s) and Si Sok (s) that were present there.

 Sempre cito o que Si Fu disse para mim ainda com 15 anos e parecendo um "bonequinho de voo-doo" como ele mesmo brincava comigo..rs  Em minha admissão na Familia em 1999  (foto acima): "Bom, a gente nunca sabe se o praticante que está sendo admitido na Familia é alguém que pode mudar a história do Ving Tsun....... Espero que essa sua admissão não seja por acaso."

I always quote Si fu when he said to me with 15 years old and looking like a "voo-doo doll" like he used to joke with me (lol) in my Kung Fu family admittance in 1999(photo above): "Well, we never know if the new one is the one who is gonna change the entire Ving Tsun story.... Well, I hope that we are not living this moment just by coincidence."

Eu sou apenas o irmão kung fu mais velho desses dois caras, mas ficaria feliz se eles carregassem ,não essas palavras, que com o tempo se tornaram minhas, até na maneira de formar a frase, mas sim, a essência do que Si fu disse naquele Outubro , pouco depois de matrix 1 sair dos cinemas...

I´m just their Si Hing, but I would be happy if those two guys keep in their hearts , not the words, but the essence of what Si Fu said in that afternoon of October, so many years ago, just after Matrix was out of the cinemas...
