A minha comida preferida da minha mãe(foto) era macarrão com muito molho e ovos cozidos. Eu geralmente comia assistindo o desenho "Denver , O Dinossauro" que passava no canal 4. Dali eu ia pra escola e na hora da saída lá estava minha mãe no portão. Desciamos a Rua dos Topázios, e na sua esquina existia um bar com umas 10 máquinas de fliperama. Tudo que eu queria era parar por 10 minutos e assistir o pessoal jogando. Meu dia de jogar e alugar fita eram nas Sextas.
Na volta, ainda agitado devido aos jogos, contava com detalhes para minha mãe sobre cada personagem de Street Fighter. Ela precisava prestar atenção, se não eu reclamava. Lembro como se fosse hoje, na esquina da Verissimo Machado em 1992 eu reclamando: "Você não está ouvindo nada!"

My mother´s dish I like the most was pasta with lots of smashed tomatoes and boiled eggs. I usually ate watching the cartoon "Denver, Last Dinosaur" . From there I used to go to school and after that there was my mother at the school gate. We walked down the School´s street back home, and in its corner there was a bar with 10 arcade machines. All I wanted was to stop for 10 minutes and watch the guys playing . My day to play and rent a Nintendo game was Friday.
On the way back, with details I would tell to my mom about each character of Street Fighter. She needed to pay attention, otherwise I complained. I remember like it was today, in the corner of Verissimo Machado Street in 1992 I complaining, "You're not listening to anything"

Quando me formei em Biologia em 2008(foto), tudo era muito incerto. Não sei bem o que minha mãe pensou que eu seria ou qual profissão exerceria. Eu também estava ansioso com relação a isso. Porém, apesar de tudo que eu já havia deixado de lado ou pela metade, uma única coisa eu continuava a praticar era o Kung Fu.

When I graduated in Biology in 2008 (photo), everything was very uncertain. I'm not sure what my mother thought I would be or what profession I would exercise. I was also anxious about it. But despite all I had left out or in half, one thing I continued to practice was: Kung Fu.

Anos depois das conversas sobre Street Fighter na volta da escola, e da formatura no curso que ela sabia que não era bem meu caminho. Minha mãe visitou o Núcleo Méier pela primeira vez(foto).
Afastada do Kung Fu desde 2001, ela esteve na sala hoje que ela mesmo encontrou para alugar em 2011. E ninguém melhor do que ela para falar um pouco sobre como foi essa visita...

Hoje recebi um convite de meu filho que me deixou muito feliz. Estive no Núcleo Méier de Ving Tsun Kung FU  onde ele  é instutor de artes marciais e responsável por essa unidade.O tempo passa tão rápido que fiquei surpresa ao constatar que o Núcleo já está em seu quarto ano.
Fiquei admirando aquele local silencioso de limpeza impecável ,com as fotos dos mestres,alunos e alguns eventos nas paredes,assim como os quadros em caracteres chineses e a mesa do último mestre,enfim,todo aquela organização típica da cultura e filosofia oriental e que sei,encontraremos  em todas as unidades .Me senti muito bem vendo ali naquela sala , de forma concreta,o sonho dele realizado.A melhor coisa da vida é fazer o que se gosta e tenho certeza,ele está fazendo e muito bem.Melhor ainda ,saber que conseguiu apesar dos obstáculos.Agora é seguir adiante e se aperfeiçoar.

Today I received an invitation from my son that made me very happy. I was at the MYVT Meier School of Ving Tsun Kung Fu where he is instutor of martial arts and responsible for this school.The Time goes by so fast that I was surprised to find that the School is now in its fourth year.

I was admiring that quiet place of impeccable cleanliness, with photos of teachers, students and some events on the walls, just like the pictures in Chinese characters and the table of the last master, in short, all that typical organization from Eastern culture and philosophy and I know we will find in all school of MYVT .I felt great seeing there in that room, concretely, his dream came true .The best thing in life is doing what you love and I'm sure he is doing and very well. Better also know how to managed obstacles  . Now  is about move forward and improve.

Lembro de meu filho,há uns quatorze ou quinze anos atrás,me pedindo para levá-lo em uma academia de Kung Fu que ele havia visto no caminho de casa em Jacarepaguá.Confesso que a ideia de vê-lo  praticando Kung Fu não era das mais agradáveis para mim,pois como mãe,tinha na mente aqueles estereótipos de lutas e violência ligados as artes marciais.Porém,era uma época difícil em que ele tentava se adaptar ao novo bairro , nova escola  e sendo assim,achei que valeria a pena tentar algo que o interessasse contanto que  eu pudesse observar se era um bom ambiente para ele. Foi quando conhecemos  Julio Camacho ,o Mestre Júlio,que nos explicou como funcionava sua academia de artes marciais e seus objetivos.
Thiago passou a ser um aluno e a fazer parte do que eles chamam “Família Kung Fu”,até hoje.Gosto de ver a pessoa que ele se tornou e sei muito bem que muito de seu caráter foi lapidado por conviver entre essas pessoas e essa filosofia.

I remember my son, there are fourteen or fifteen years ago, asking me to take him on a Kung Fu School he had seen on the way home in Jacarepaguá neighborhood. I had to tell that the idea of seeing him practicing Kung Fu was not the more pleasant for me because as a mother, had in mind those stereotypes linked struggles and violence .But those were difficult times when he tried to adapt to the new neighborhood, new school and as such, I thought it would be worth try something that he liked as long as I could see if it was a good environment for him. It was when we met Julio Camacho, Master Julio , who explained how it worked in his martial arts school and its goals.

Thiago has become a student and part of what they call "Kung Fu Family" until today .I like to see the person he has become and I know that much of his character was cut by live among these people and this philosophy.

Desde pequeno,Thiago sempre foi admirador de tudo que se relacionava a cultura oriental,inclusive fazendo aulas de japonês,já em Jacarepaguá e chinês ...mandarim? Acho que é Mandarim.Além disso,tinha os filmes de artes marciais.No entanto, um deles,eu sempre digo em casa: Esse filme é a "cara" do Thiago: Karate Kid! e me desculpe se comparo o Mestre Julio Camacho ao Sr.Miyagi,mas realmente ele foi muito importante em várias fases na vida de meu filho.Isso eu sei e estou convicta.Assim como,Úrsula. 

Since childhood, Thiago was always an admirer of everything that linked the eastern culture, including making Japanese classes,  and Mandarin Chinese ...? I think it is Mandarim. Beyond that, had the martial arts movies.  However, one of them, I always say at home: "This film is the remembers me of Thiago: Karate Kid! and excuse me if I compare the Master Julio Camacho to MR.Miyagi, but he was really  very important at various stages in the life of my son . I know that and Im sure about this .So as Ursula importance.

Estive presente em um ou outro evento e passagens de níveis .Meu pai,já falecido também chegou a comparecer e achava tudo o máximo. Isso até quando a unidade passou para a Taquara,mas acabei me distanciando por motivos que muitas vezes nem sabemos dizer quais são. O que não quer dizer que deixei de acompanhar ao longe e perceber o progresso que estava acontecendo no decorrer dos anos. Inclusive,consegui entender muita coisa ao assistir o vídeo de sua entrevista para a IFRJ.

I was present in some event or another .My father , who passed away, also came to attend and think everything was great. That even when the school moved to the Taquara neighborhood, but just kept myself away for some reasons that often do not know what to say. Which is not to say that I failed to follow from distance and see the progress that was happening over the years. Even I could understand a lot when I watch the video of his interview for some Federal University about Kung Fu Ving Tsun.

O que posso dizer de todo esse trajeto de meu filho no Ving Tsun,é que a melhor coisa que fiz foi ter concordado com sua vontade de entrar e ter cedido quando algumas vezes ,achei que já era hora de sair e ele não queria de jeito nenhum. Admiro sua persistência que foi o que o levou até seu objetivo e seu prazer em ter sua unidade hoje.Então,como mãe,foi uma satisfação enorme visitar o núcleo  que é o fruto de uma jornada de anos,como disse antes,14 ou 15 anos.
Agradeço ao Júlio e Úrsula por todo o apoio e sei que sempre foram muito importantes na vida do meu filho,assim como os amigos,alunos e essa família à qual,felizmente ele faz parte até hoje.De coração.

What can I say all this path of my son in Ving Tsun, is that the best thing I did was have agreed with his willingness to enter and to have given a few times when I thought it was time to leave and he did not want at all . I admire his persistence that was what led him to his goal and his pleasure in having his school .So, as mother, it was a great pleasure to visit the school which is the fruit of a journey of years, as I said before, 14 or 15 year ...

I thank Julio and Ursula for all the support and I know they have always been very important in my son's life, as well as friends, students and the family to which, fortunately he is part until today.

Vestir-se bem , não diz respeito apenas a uma questão de usar roupas caras. Mas de estar ajustado ao ambiente e ocasião em que se encontra. Você também pode considerar que entender como se vestir é uma expressão artistica assim como nos expressamos quando praticamos Kung Fu...

To use the correct cloth, is not just a question of using expensive clothes. But use the right cloth for the right occasion or place.
You can also consider, that oneself who knows how to dress , is also someone who is expressing his art, like we express ourselves trough combat movements in Ving Tsun.

A idéia por detrás da venda das camisas, é que não só o praticante possa vestir-se com um material de qualidade que também é um material que servirá de lembrança do evento principal daquele ano, como também, de reverter os valores das vendas para projetos do próprio Clã!

The idea behind the selling of this shirts is not just a way for the practitioner dress with some quality material and have some memory from some special event of that year, but also, pay projects for the Clan using the incomings.

Eu particularmente sou tão fã destas camisas, que as uso mesmo em momentos fora do convívio com a Família Kung Fu como nesta foto num restaurante em que eu estava usando o modelo de 2012 durante um almoço em Família.

For me, Im so fan of those shirts made by MYVT Belo Horizonte School, that I usually dress myself with them even when Im not trainning. Like in this photo above when I was using the 2012 model.

Ou nessa outra foto, onde uso o modelo 2011 durante jantar com minha afilhada e sua irmã. Sendo que as duas são também filhas do meu irmão Kung Fu Thiago Silva.

Or in this photo where Im with my Goddaughter and her sister , Im using the 2011 model. Those two girls are also daughters of my Si Dai Thiago Silva.
