Estava sentado num escritório de advocacia com dois familiares, ambos por motivos diferentes, estavam muito tensos. Ao meu lado direito , podia ouvir através do corredor, meus dois advogados com um representante de cartório decidindo o futuro financeiro meu e destas duas pessoas na outra sala. Eu trajava uma roupa surrada, estava descabelado e com a barba por fazer. Minha aparência definitivamente não parecia ser minha prioridade naquele dia. Porém, logo precisaria ser, pois em apenas quatro horas a partir dali ,precisaria estar diante de um auditório para uma palestra sobre “Kung Fu e Equilíbrio Emocional” no Centro Cultural Justiça Federal.

                Não era qualquer palestra. Ali, quando subisse no palco, eu seria: To Dai, Si Fu, representante de uma organização, representante de uma arte marcial, representante do meu Si Fu, representante do bom nome da Si Suk Ursula que tinha conseguido o espaço, e meu próprio representante. Se eu falhasse, ninguém morreria, mas tão pouco posso falar das consequencias. Pois como diz Si Fu : “Nunca sabemos das festas que não nos convidaram.”

                De volta ao escritório de advocacia, tinha em meu colo meu inseparável notebook , pois tentava terminar de legendar o vídeo em homenagem a Si Fu. Feito com os esforços reunidos de muitas pessoas. Foi então que em meio daquele “pequeno caos”, me peguei pensando sobre o que tinha mudado em mim. Como, conseguia me manter tão calmo, com tantas coisas simultaneas acontecendo ou prestes a acontecer? E a única palavra que me veio à cabeça foi “Kung Fu”. E esse “Kung Fu” veio de Si Fu.

I was wearing a dirty cloth, was disheveled and had a grown messy beard. My appearance definitely did not seem to be my priority that day. However, it soon needed to be, because in just four hours from there, I would need to be in front of an auditorium for a lecture on "Kung Fu and Emotional Balance" at the Federal Justice Cultural Center.
    It was not any lecture. There, when I came onstage, I would be: To Dai, Si Fu, representative of an organization, representative of a martial art, representative of my Si Fu, representative of the good name of Si Suk Ursula who had  intermediated with the head of the cultural center, and my own. representative. If I failed, no one would die, but I can not speak of the consequences. As Si Fu usually says: "We never know about the parties that people did not invite us."
Back in the law office, I had my inseparable notebook on my lap, as I tried to finish the subtitles of the video tribute to Si Fu, made with the gathered efforts of many people. It was then that in the midst of that "little chaos," I found myself thinking about what had changed in me. How, could I keep myself so calm, with so many simultaneous things going on or about to happen? And the only word that came to mind was "Kung Fu." And that "Kung Fu" came from Si Fu.

                Talvez eu seja apenas um cara limitado, mas de tudo que acontece ao decorrer do ano em termos de eventos, sejam eles da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence ou do âmbito familiar, sem dúvidas o aniversário do Si Fu é a data pela qual mais tenho entusiasmo.  E por acaso, no ano passado tivemos uma celebração desastrosa. Mas de tudo que foi dito numa espécie de “Pós-evento” no “Hall” do prédio do Si Fu as duas da madrugada após aquela celebração. O que me martelou por todos estes meses fora a seguinte frase: “...Então é isso que é homenagem?...”-  Dita por uma pessoa muito querida que participava do aniversário de Si Fu pela primeira vez.

Cada vez que lembrava da frase.Em minha mente vinham os “Ameixas da madrugada” , banda formada em 2006 para cantar as músicas preferidas de Si Fu. Ou do aniversário de 2009, com a imitação de Si Fu ou por que não o aniversário de 2012, no qual dignamente comemos pizza juntos por insistência minha no Barra Garden.

Every time I remembered the phrase.In my mind came the "Ameixas da madrugada", a band formed by me and some Kung Fu brothers in 2006 to sing Si Fu's favorite songs. Or the 2009 birthday, with the impersonation of Si Fu or why not the birthday celebration of 2012, in which we dignifiedly ate pizza together at my insistence in a small Mall near our former Mo Gun.

Eu já havia sido “Mais um” nas organizações destes eventos, depois resolvi tomar à frente. . Na “Era de Ouro”, tinha Paula Gama, Carlos Antunes e Thiago Silva ajudando na organização, sempre supervisionada por Si Suk Ursula. Mais tarde, quando Paula e os dois se afastaram, achei que poderia fazer tudo sozinho. Não funcionou... E então ano passado, não participei achando que também era responsabilidade dos demais organizar.

                Desta vez, resolvi lembrar de uma fala de Si Fu para mim em 2015, sobre o fato de que fazer um evento em grupo, não é como fazer um trabalho de apresentação na faculdade, no qual cada um faz uma parte. Segundo ele, é como se caso não houvesse mais ninguém, você faria sozinho mesmo... Então, já que tem essa ou aquela outra pessoa, vai ficar melhor ainda só porque elas estão ali. E mais importante do que isso:  Saber pedir o auxilio que a pessoa pode dar e não pedir uma ajuda a alguém que não consegue ajudar daquela forma.

This time, I decided to remember a talk from Si Fu to me in 2015, about the fact that doing a group event is not like doing a presentation work  in college or school, in which each one plays a part. According to him, it's as if there was no one else, you would do it yourself ... So, since there is this or that other person, it will get better just because they are there. And more important than that: To know how to ask for the help that the person can give and not to ask for help to someone who can not help in that way.

                Por conta do carinho que tenho por Si Suk Ursula(FOTO) e Si Suk Ricardo, participei ativamente da organização de sua titulação de Mestre Classe Senior. Ali, tentava contribuir positivamente, mas de fato, minha presença não era essencialmente fundamental ao processo. Por isso, de forma relaxada, pude acompanhar toda a negociação com o Hotel Radisson e os ajustes necessários. Já que Si Suk Ursula é conhecida por ser uma exímia negociadora, achei que seria boa ideia estar perto dela vendo de como fazia tão boas negociações. Assim, quando a negociação para seu evento findou-se, entrei em contato com o hotel e contando com o apoio da própria Si Suk Ursula e de sua leal discípula Helena, consegui realizar uma negociação maravilhosa. Infelizmente, na hora de assinar o contrato, meu cartão de crédito não tinha o limite necessário.

                Quando peguei o telefone para ligar para Si Fu e contar que não iria dar esperando que ele me apresentasse uma solução. No fundo do meu coração, já sabia o que tinha de ser feito. Fazer o evento num salão menor, que cabia no limite do cartão  para assinar o contrato, não estava na imagem mental que havia visualizado tantas vezes. Então , acho que naquele momento passei a acreditar ainda mais na ideia de “Chung Chi”.

Since Si Suk Ursula is known to be an excellent negotiator, I thought it would be a good idea to be near her seeing how she made such good deals. So, when the negotiation for her event was over, I contacted the hotel and counting on the support of Si Suk Ursula herself and her loyal disciple Helena, I was able to make a wonderful negotiation. Unfortunately, at the time of signing the contract, my credit card did not have the necessary limit.
When I picked up the phone to call Si Fu and tell him that  would be possible to sign the contract maybe expecting him to come up with a solution. Deep in my heart, I already knew what had to be done. Doing the event in a smaller salon, which fit the card limit to sign the contract, was not in the mental image I had visualized so many times. So, I think at that moment I came to believe even more in the idea of ​​"Chung Chi".

                Desta forma, com “Chung Chi”, fiz uma proposta ousada e que pegou a querida Aninha , responsável pelos eventos do hotel, de surpresa! Ela acabou aceitando, e eu pude fechar negócio no salão que visualizei desde o início.

                Si Fu estabeleceu recentemente,a ideia de que para uma atividade acontecer, é necessário que se tenha um “titular” da atividade e um ou mais suplentes. O “titular” tem por função, estar concentrado na parte organizacional de determinado processo, estando livre para não ser interrompido nisso. Por outro lado, o “suplente”, não só pode susbstituir o “titular” numa eventualidade, como também estar livre para cuidar de outros processos além dos organizacionais ou administrativos.

                Para este evento, formou-se um grupo no qual eu era o Titular, a querida Rubia Souza era a “suplente 1” e Rodrigo Moreira o “suplente 2”.

                Sobre Rodrigo , este por motivos particulares, esteve um tanto quanto afastado da Família Kung Fu por um período considerável no segundo semestre desse ano. A mim, fazia tanta falta meu irmão Kung Fu , quanto ainda sinto a ausência de tantos outros. E pude estar junto de Si Fu no momento de seu retorno.

About Rodrigo, for private reasons, was somewhat away from the Kung Fu Family for a considerable period in the second half of this year.                 Mostrando toda a maturidade que apenas um Líder de Clã possui, Si Fu foi generosamente firme com Rodrigo durante essa conversa. E depois eu e Rodrigo levamos Si Fu até sua casa na Barra. O engarrafamento serviu para conversarmos e rir , quando a sintonia já estava voltando. Um mês depois, já horas antes do evento, me encontrava com Rodrigo dentro do carro em Jacarepaguá com muitas missões por fazer até que a celebração começasse. Não resisti e perguntei: “Rodrigo, a um mês atrás você estava afastado, completamente à parte de tudo. E agora você está aqui ao meu lado, passou a noite comigo fazendo o video na Terça, vai ser o anfitrião do evento... Como você vê essa mudança tão grande em tão pouco tempo? “ .  – Rodrigo sorriu e respondeu: “Acho que assim como você falou sobre a história do escritório de advocacia, a única palavra que me vem à mente é ‘Kung Fu’ .” – E nós sabíamos de onde vem esse Kung Fu.

                Na organização desse aniversário, me foi possível perceber que alguns membros da Família atuaram de forma mais significativa no pré-evento e outros no trans-evento. Isso porque, na Cultura Clássica Chinesa, segundo Si Gung, “Um é igual à três”. Desta forma, um acontecimento como este, divide-se em três momentos distintos: Pré-Evento. Este sendo um momento de pré-figuração, onde acima do nosso “querer”, está a “realidade”, a qual deveremos ouvir com atenção, caso desejemos ter sucesso. Depois, temos o “Trans-evento”, que é o momento aparente de um processo. Por exemplo: Para os convidados, muitos deles enxergam apenas o “trans evento”. Eles não conseguem enxergar que aquela configuração que estão vivenciando começou bem antes e vai gerar desdobramentos muito depois.

                Por falar nestes “desdobramentos”, chamamos de “pós-evento” o momento de apreciação do que foi vivido para que tenhamos a oportunidade de realizar conscientemente pontos positivos e “a melhorar” de um mesmo processo como forma de desenvolvimento humano.

                Ainda no “pré-evento”, tive a oportunidade de passar uma tarde maravilhosa com meu irmão Kung Fu Roberto Viana em sua casa. Juntos, além de nos divertirmos e rirmos bastante, iniciamos o conceito, o roteiro e a montagem inicial do vídeo de homenagem. Sem dúvidas, uma tarde marcante para nossa relação.

 Si Fu costuma dizer que o que nos diferencia dos demais animais, é a capacidade de atribuirmos símbolo aos momentos que vivemos. Segundo ele, para um animal , um prato de comida é apenas um prato de comida, mas para nós humanos, podemos nos reunir para um jantar, não apenas para matar a fome, mas talvez, seja apenas um pretexto para uma reunião de negócios.

                Talvez por isso, seja tão difícil de explicar o que de fato muda quando se faz o “Baai Si”. Essa foi a pergunta feita por Guilherme para mim em Janeiro de 2011, logo após sua Cerimônia. Parados num engarrafamento na Freguesia à caminho do Mo Gun, tentei falar um pouco à respeito o melhor que podia, mas com o tempo, aprendi que o símbolo tem a força que a pessoa dá.

Maybe that's why it's so hard to explain what actually changes when you do Baai Si. That was Guilherme's question for me in January 2011, shortly after his Ceremony.                 Talvez por isso, Rubia Souza estivesse tão tensa minutos antes da Cerimônia começar, já que ela se dedicara tanto durante o pré-evento.  Talvez também , pela força do símbolo que a relação implica, Marcelo Acris tenha aberto parte de sua vida aos presentes, falando de sua escolha pela Família Kung Fu e pelo sonho de ser um Si Fu um dia, quando colocado diante de um dilema recentemente.

                Perdido em meus pensamentos, senti o toque pesado de Roberto Viana em meu ombro. Dizia ele que o gerente do restaurante do hotel afirmava que encerraria os serviços em duas horas. – “Oh-Oh!” – Pensei.

                Enquanto caminhava para fora do salão para entender melhor de meu irmão Kung Fu a respeito do ocorrido, sabia que a declaração de fechar as 23h o restaurante não era uma possibilidade para mim. E foi então , que com suas passadas leves como as de um elfo saído de um dos contos de Tolkien, meu irmão Kung Fu Vladimir se aproximou de nós. Com sua característica firmeza no olhar, como o “Ponta-firme” original da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou , Vlad disse que poderia deixar com ele que resolveria.  E assim foi: Problema resolvido com o restaurante!

                Percebendo toda a situação, Si Fu fez um ajuste com relação a Cerimônia de Discipulado de minha Família Kung Fu e chamou todos de uma só vez à frente.  Isso é possível, porque para Si Fu que estuda a fundo cada um destes processos, entende que a “formalidade” deve estar sintonizada com a “humanidade”. Esta “Humanidade” é a nossa capacidade de nos conectarmos de forma a nos ajustarmos em função do outro ou do ambiente.

Realizing the whole situation, Si Fu made an adjustment regarding the Discipleship Ceremony of my Kung Fu Family and called them all at once to the front. This is possible, because for Si Fu who thoroughly studies each of these processes, he understands that "formality" must be in tune with "humanity". This "Humanity" is our ability to connect in a way that fits the other or the environment.

                Aquele ajuste feito por Si Fu em função do tempo que estava escasso, transformou a cerimônia dos membros de minha Família Kung Fu num processo muito mais vivo e especial. Este foi o sentimento compartilhado por todos. E aquilo, mais uma vez me fez ver Si Fu fazer na prática o que sempre nos diz: Que não devemos confrontar uma situação ou ideia oposta a nossa. Devemos aderir, nos apoiar nela e propor uma outra coisa. Que será muito melhor, simplesmente porque algo que consideramos num primeiro momento uma “adversidade” aconteceu.

That adjustment made by Si Fu due to the time that was scarce, transformed the ceremony of the members of my Kung Fu Family into a much more alive and special process. This was the feeling shared by all. And that, once again made me see Si Fu do in practice what always tells us: That we should not confront a situation or idea opposite ours. We must adhere, support ourselves in it and propose something else. That will be much better, simply because something we first considered an "adversity" happened.

                Entre as vezes que entrei e saí do salão até que as Cerimônias se findassem, vi alguns rostos conhecidos e cenas curiosas, como meu To Dai Matheus Alves, que é bem magro. Olhei para Matheus e vi a mim mesmo tantos anos atrás: Mais jovem, bem mais magro(risos), tentando ser útil em meio a tantas pessoas que sempre pareciam saber o que fazer. Também vi meu To Dai José Carlos com sua esposa colocando sua filha recém nascida para dormir hora no carrinho de bebê , hora em seus braços....

Between the times I entered and left the hall until the Ceremonies were over, I saw some familiar faces and curious scenes, like my To Dai Matheus Alves, who is quite thin. I looked at Matheus and saw myself so many years ago: Younger, much thinner (laughs), trying to be useful among so many people who always seemed to know what to do. I also saw my To Dai Jose Carlos with his wife putting their newborn daughter to sleep time in the baby stroller...

                Finalmente havia chegado a hora do jantar! Todos se serviam e como nos bons tempos, eu tentava conversar um pouco com cada um em cada mesa. Eu realmente sentia uma mistura de coisas: A vontade de que tudo desse certo, o medo de que tudo desse errado, a felicidade do To Dai ao ver seu Si Fu feliz, a responsabilidade de um Si Fu ao ver seu To Dai “dormindo”....  Si Fu parecia realmente feliz. Desde o momento em que a homenagem começou a ser exibida, sabia que teriamos um evento inesquecível.  Eu e Rodrigo nos abraçamos enquanto Si Fu e os presentes assistiam o vídeo.

It was finally dinner time! Everyonews getting the plates full of food and as in the good old days, I would try to talk to each person at each table. I really felt a mixture of things: The desire that everything went right, the fear that everything went wrong, a To Dai's happiness when seeing his happy Si Fu, the responsibility of a Si Fu to see his To Dai "sleeping" .... Si Fu looked really happy. From the moment the tribute  video started, I knew we would have an unforgettable event. Rodrigo and I hugged each other while Si Fu and the audience watched the video.

A noite do dia 01 de Dezembro, virara a primeira hora da madrugada do dia 02 quando o evento se deu por encerrado. Tivemos porém, a agradável surpresa na manhã de Domingo e em vários dias que se seguiram , das fotos quase sobrenaturais enviadas por Raffy Carvalheira. Fotógrafo oficial daquela noite.

Si Fu disse algumas vezes , que é possível fazer tudo com arte. Carvalheira provou que isso é verdade. Se Si Fu chamou o Sistema Ving Tsun, por vezes, de meditação em movimento. Carvalheira, trouxe com seus registros de diferenciada qualidade, a necessidade de apreciar cada imagem, e não simplesmente passarmos por elas.

Si Fu said a few times, that it is possible to do everything with art. Carvalheira proved that to be true. If Si Fu called the Ving Tsun System, sometimes a "meditation in motion". A participação de Si Mo durante todo o processo foi fundamental para que tudo tivesse um toque mais refinado. Desde o cuidado com o posicionamento de cada item até a decoração(incluindo uma atenção especial à mesa de bolo), veio dela. Sua participação na homenagem em vídeo também foi decisiva para que se tornasse algo inesquecível.

The participation of Si Mo during the whole process was fundamental so that everything had a more refined touch. From the careful positioning of each item to the decoration (including special attention to the cake table), it came from her. Her participation in the video tribute was also decisive to make it something unforgettable.

Dessa vez, diferentes de todas as outras, eu participei dessa organização de forma leve. Sabia que o aniversário seria muito especial, de um jeito ou de outro. Então, qualquer adversidade no percurso , caso não nos fosse possível apoiar nela, fazíamos um contorno.
A ideia de se ter um propósito maior do que o prazer de fazer uma bela festa para Si Fu, também foi outro diferencial deste ano. Este propósito foi percebido por outros membros da Família, que cada um à sua maneira, apareceu em momentos-chave para deixar sua contribuição positiva que edificou o sucesso do evento.

This time, unlike any other, I participated in this organization lightly. I knew the birthday would be very special, one way or another. Then, any adversity in the course, if we could not support on it, we made a contour.
The idea of having a purpose greater than the pleasure of making a beautiful party for Si Fu was also another differential this year. This purpose was noticed by other members of the Family, who each in their own way appeared at key moments to make their positive contribution that built the success of the event.

Esse artigo, foi escrito enquanto ouvia "Don´t Stop me Now" do Queen. Essa sem dúvidas, foi a trilha sonora de todo esse processo para mim.
Fico feliz de ter "sobrevivido" aos tempos ruins desde o último aniversário de Si Fu para vivenciar este novo momento em minha trajetória. Também, a Rubia que se juntou à Família na celebração do aniversário do Si Fu ano passado e que desta vez, surge como uma liderança feminina há muito esperada desde a Paula Gama. Também, presenciar o retorno de Rodrigo Moreira dos confins da vida, de volta ao "Mo Lam". E de testemunhar as contribuições diferenciadas de Roberto Viana e Vladimir Anchieta , membros antiquíssimos, em momentos chave. Ou a capacidade artística de Raffy Carvalheira com suas fotos já históricas deste evento. Junto disso tudo, a presença cintilante de nossa Si Mo. Sempre com seu tom de voz calmo, deixando tudo mais lindo.
E assim como quando estava sentado no escritório de advocacia com o notebook em meu colo calmo naquele "pequeno caos". Só posso atribuir tudo isso à uma única coisa: "Kung Fu"... E esse "Kung Fu", nós sabemos de onde vem!

I am happy to have "survived" the bad times since Si Fu's last birthday to experience this new moment in my journey. Also, the Rubia who joined the Family in celebrating Si Fu's birthday last year and this time, has emerged as a long-awaited female leadership since Paula Gama. Also, witness the return of Rodrigo Moreira from the deppest corners of life, back to "Mo Lam". And to witness the differentiated contributions of Roberto Viana and Vladimir Anchieta, very old members, in key moments. Or the artistic capacity of Raffy Carvalheira with his already historical photos of this event. 
On top of all this, the brilliant presence of our Si Mo. Always with her calm voice, leaving everything more beautiful.
And just like when I was sitting in the law office with the notebook on my lap calm in that "small chaos" . I can only attribute all this to one thing: "Kung Fu" ... And this "Kung Fu", we know where it comes from!
