A NEW SI FU IN RIO (UM NOVO SI FU NO RIO!)

Em 18 de Março de 2003, Si Fu pendurava o "Jiu Paai" , símbolo de sua Família Kung Fu , na parede pela primeira vez. O Jiu Paai é ofertado ao discípulo pelo seu Si Fu, ele não pode ser feito por decisão do próprio discípulo, pois o seu valor está no símbolo da entrega.

On March 18, 2003, Si Fu hung the "Jiu Paai", symbol of his Kung Fu Family, on the wall for the very first time. Jiu Paai is offered to the disciple by his Si Fu, it can not be done by decision of the disciple himself, as its value is in the symbol of delivery itself.

O jovem Si Fu Julio Camacho ainda não sabia quem seriam seus discípulos. Thiago Silva e Carlos Antunes eram nomes que ainda nem em sonhos passavam pelo sua cabeça.Assim como todos os outros. Porém, alguns deles, como eu, Vladimir e Si Hing Leonardo, já faziamos parte do Núcleo Jacarepaguá. Mas ainda faziamos parte da Família Moy Yat Sang, não tinhamos decidido migrar para sua Familia ainda. De fato, eu nem sabia que isso era possível. Por isso, temos que todos agradecer ao pioneirismo do Si Hing Leo em pensar nessa possibilidade antes de todos.

The young Si fu Julio Camacho still did not know who would be his disciples. Thiago Silva and Carlos Antunes names were not even in dreams passed by his head. So like everyone else. But some of them, like me, Vladimir and Si Hing Leonardo, were already  part of Jacarepagua School. But still were part of Family Moy Yat Sang, we had not decided to migrate to his Family yet. Ainda faltavam 7 anos para que ela se tornasse Mestre a partir daquela noite, mas todos esses despertares ainda estavam no campo da imanência.

Não há filme que eu tenha visto mais do que o clássico dos clássicos "O Grande Dragão Branco ". E acho que todos os dias antes de ir para a escola em 1993 com nove anos eu assistia. Hoje assisto uma vez por ano, porque o pequeno Thiago dentro de mim ainda pede isso. Mas o filme não tem a mesma graça. Não porque ficou ultrapassado , mas porque eu não consigo mais me identificar com a personagem de Van Damme. 

Eu sempre desejei tudo aquilo: Lutas mortais, Hong Kong, calças jeans justas, uma trilha sonora do Stan Bush. Mas principalmente: Ter um Mestre! 

Si Fu me proporcionou isso de forma magistral . E agora, chegou a minha vez de tentar proporcionar o mesmo para uma nova geração: A décima terceira de nossa linhagem.

No movie I've seen more than the classic of classics "Bloodsport". And I think every day before going to school in 1993 when I was nine years old I used to watch it. Today watch once a year, because the small Thiago inside me even asking it. But the film does not have the same emotion. Not because it was outdated, but because I can no longer identify myself with the character of Van Damme.
I always wanted everything: deadly fights, Hong Kong, tight jeans, a soundtrack by Stan Bush. But mostly: Having a Master!

Si Fu has given me the opportunity to call him "Master" so masterfully. And now it was my turn to try to provide the same for a new generation: The thirteenth of our lineage.

Por isso , ao pendurar meu Jiu Paai na parede do Núcleo Méier no último dia 23 de Dezembro, eu percebi que ainda poderia me ver como Van Damme no filme, porque continuo sendo um discípulo e tendo um Si Fu, mas agora, vou precisar aprender o outro lado dessa relação. Para isso, vou precisar de um To Dai que esteja do outro lado..rs

Mas para que essa noite pudesse ter a importância devida, meus irmãos Kung Fu bem mais cedo naquela tarde ajudaram preparando o Mo Gun assim como Si Suk Andre e Ursula o fizeram por Si Fu anos atrás.

Ficar falando de mim aqui nunca fez muito sentido, mas hoje acho que não conseguiria fazer diferente. Pois ao ocupar a cadeira reservada ao Si Fu do Mo Gun não sabia muito bem o que sentir ou o que esperar. Si Suk Ursula disse que dava um "choquinho" as vezes..rs Eu não senti choquinho..rs  Mas quando me posicionei naquela cadeira para sentar, enquanto descia me apoiando nos braços dela, pensava apenas no Si Fu. Ao sentar, olhei para o alto, onde ficam os carimbos dos ancestrais e fui seguindo com os olhos um por um até a cadeira vazia ao meu lado, reservada ao Si gung da Família e olhei pra dentro. 

Talking about me here never made much sense, but today I think I could not do otherwise. Because to occupy the chair reserved to the Si Fu of the Mo Gun, I was not sure what to feel or what to expect. Si Suk Ursula said that the chair would give me some kind of "state of shock"  lol I did not feel this shock..lol But when I positioned myself in that chair to sit down while supporting me in its arms, I was thinking only in Si Fu. As I sat, I looked up, where are the stamps of the ancestors and was following with my eyes one by one until the empty chair beside me, reserved for Si gung of the family and looked inside of me.

Meus irmãos Kung Fu presentes me fizeram perguntas sobre minha jornada até ali. Fui respondendo da melhor forma, mas devo admitir que estava nervoso. 

Quando eu era pequeno , comprei uma revista de video-games chamada "Ação Games" que vinha com uma fita com o making off do filme "Mortal Kombat". Lembro que no trailer, ficava a voz do locutor de trailers de cinema no Brazil dizendo : "Nada no mundo o preparou para isso!"  - E devo dizer que essa voz as vezes vinha à minha cabeça..rsrsrs

Eu nunca quis ser um Mestre , eu nunca soube que sentar numa determinada cadeira pudesse causar sensações dentro de nós. Na verdade, eu nem sabia que existia algo chamado "Jiu Paai" .Ainda que tenha passado os olhos por vários em tantos filmes da Shaw Brothers. A única coisa que eu sempre quis foi ter um Mestre. E graças a ter visto o valor que o meu Mestre Julio Camacho dava a todos esses elementos, eu aprendi  a valorizá-los e acima de tudo respeitá-los entre erros e acertos.

I never wanted to be a Master, I never knew that sitting in a certain chair could cause sensations within us. In fact, I did not even know there was something called "Jiu Paai" .Even having passed the eyes for many in so many films of the Shaw Brothers. The only thing I ever wanted was to have a Master. And thanks to seeing the value that my Master Julio Camacho gave to all these elements, I learned to value them and most of all respect them between hits and misses.

Porém, o mais importante de tudo: Nesse exato momento , em algum lugar tem um jovem ou uma jovem que podem estar assistindo "O Grande Dragão Branco". Talvez essa pessoa mude de bairro e passe por poucas e boas na escola nova e no bairro novo. Talvez ele renove as esperanças quando relembrar de seus heróis dos filmes, e tudo o que busque seja um Mestre. Ou talvez... Seja apenas alguém que queria fazer uma atividade depois do trabalho e se descubra um discípulo sem igual... Bom, não importa... Porque a partir de agora eu vou estar sempre lá. Continuando o trabalho do lendário Mestre Julio Camacho sem esquecer do Van Damme que uma parte minha ainda quer ser..rs

But most important of all: Right now, somewhere has a young man or woman who may be watching "Bloodsport". Perhaps that person change neighborhood and pass through a lot in the new school and new neighborhood. Maybe this person renewed hope when recalling his/her heroes movies memories, and everything that seeks is to have a Master. Or maybe ... Just be someone who wanted to do an activity after work and discover himself as an outstanding disciple ... Well, no matter ... because from now on I will always be there. Continuing the work of the legendary Master Julio Camacho without forgetting Van Damme that a part of me still wants to be..lol

IP MAN 3 NEWS: POSTERS AND RELEASE DATE ( Novidades sobre "O Grande Mestre 3: Estréia e posteres"

As novidades sobre "O Grande Mestre 3" (Ip Man 3,2015) não param de chegar ! A foto acima é das redes sociais de Donnie Yen, que volta a interpretar Ip Man neste terceiro filme da franquia.
A imagem mostra os convites para a Premiére em Hong Kong no próximo dia 16 de Dezembro. Mas a estréia para o grande público só ocorre no próximo dia 25 de Dezembro.

The picture shows the invitations for the Premiére in Hong Kong on the 16th December. But the premiere to the general public only occurs on the 25th December.

A presença destes dois personagens, permite que pela primeira vez o filme seja exibido no mercado americano com um apelo para o público de lá. 

Tanto Mike Tyson quanto Bruce Lee, são figuras conhecidas pelos americanos e queridas de certa forma.

A estréia nos EUA será quase um mês depois da estréia em Hong Kong, no dia 22 de Janeiro. Isso é uma boa notícia para nós na América do Sul, porque infelizmente nossas distribuidoras só trazem filmes que , não só tenham sido lançados nos EUA primeiro, mas que tenham trazido uma boa bilheteria. 

E como estamos sujeitos ao filme ir bem lá nos EUA, vamos torcer para que assim como foi com "O Tigre e o Dragão", ele possa fazer bonito e ser lançado nos cinemas nacionais.

The US premiere will be almost a month after the release in Hong Kong on January 22. That's good news for us in South America, because unfortunately our distributors only bring films that not only have been launched in the US first, but have brought a good box office.

THE SECRET OF MOY JO LEI OU FAMILY REVEALED (O segredo da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou revelado!)

Ainda posso lembrar da minha resistência em entender no início da minha prática do Ving Tsun, que a Família Kung Fu e o bom funcionamento do Mo Gun eram muito maiores do que a ponta do meu nariz e as minhas constantes reclamações da grande quantidade de tempo que gastávamos em reuniões e refeições quando poderíamos estar praticando.
Na primeira reunião que participei a convite de Si Fu por volta de 2003, fiquei atento e esperando uma brecha para dizer algo apenas porque ele havia me dito: "Agora, se você vai estar na reunião é importante participar." - Eu não falava nada hora, porque achava que não poderia competir com nada de bom com o quanto sabiam figuras como Si Suk Ursula Lima e André Cardoso , que estavam a frente da administração do Mo Gun junto com Si Fu. Ou muitas vezes ficava calado porque simplesmente não via nesses encontros nada que me melhorasse como "Lutador"...

I can still remember my resistence in understanding early in my practice of Ving Tsun, that for the proper functioning of the Kung Fu Family and of the Mo Gun , were much larger than the tip of my nose and my constant complaints of the large amount of time we spent in meetings and meals when we could be practicing.
At the first meeting I attended , was because of an Si Fu's invitation to me around 2003, I was alert and waiting for an opening to say something just because he told me: "Now, if you'll be at the meeting is important to participate." - I used to not speak , because I thought it could not compete with anything good to  figures such as Si Suk Ursula Lima and Andre Cardoso, who were in Mo Gun administration  along with Si Fu. Or often kept silent because I simply did not see anything that would improve me trough these meetings as a  "Fighter" ...

Eu passei a participar das reuniões no início apenas porque gostava de ouvir Si Fu falar. Parecia que ele sempre tinha algo incrível a dizer. E existia também um sentimento de que o que ele dizia , parecia estar sendo direcionado apenas para mim. Como se ele soubesse o que estava se passando pela minha cabeça. Ainda que o assunto, nada tivesse a ver comigo.
Meu autor preferido, François Jullien, diz em sua obra "Figuras da Imanência"(Ed. 34 , 1997) que "... É diante de um pensamento exterior tanto a nossos hábitos conceptuais como a nossas opções metafísicas mais comuns, é necessária uma assimilação pela aquisição de um costume que ultrapasse a mera compreensão..."

I began to attend meetings at the beginning just because he liked to hear Si Fu talk. It seemed he always had something amazing to say. E foi assim, acompanhando inúmeras reuniões com Si Fu, sobre qualquer tema que fosse, fui entendendo que apesar de não fazer parte de minha natureza originalmente e dos meus anseios como praticante, existiam questões muito importantes para a Família, para o Mo Gun e para todos. Que treinar mais ou menos nesses dias, não ajudaria muito.  Porque mais uma vez citando "Figuras da Imanência"(Ed. 34 ,1997) : "... É próprio de um pensamento preocupado com a transcendência procurar explorar o outro do outro (quer dizer, aquilo em que o outro é verdadeiramente outro e pode se constituir em exterioridade) . Em contraste com essa abertura para o além , é próprio de um pensamento da imanência procurar valorizar, e fazer operar, tudo o que existe de mesmo no outro e que permite sua correlação..."

And so, following numerous meetings with Si Fu, on any subject it was, I began to understand that although not part of my nature originally and my desires as a practitioner, there were very important issues for the Family, for the Mo Gun and all. To train more or less these days, would not help much. Because once again citing "Figures of Immanence" (Ed 34, 1997.): "... It is characteristic of a thought concerned with transcendence seek to exploit the other on the other (ie, that in which the other is truly another and may constitute externality). in contrast to this opening to the beyond, is itself a thought of immanence looking for value and do operate, all that is of the same in the other and allowing their correlation ... "

Então a fim de deixar claro para as pessoas que compõem o grupo dos Si Hing e futuros tutores qualificados do Núcleo Méier o momento de transição do Mo Gun, de uma casa da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou para a casa da futura Família Moy Fat Lei, e dos ajustes e proposições a serem apresentadas ao Si Fu posteriormente, fizemos uma reunião em nosso Mo Gun no último Sábado.
Sentado ali, vendo o Mo Gun tão cheio de pessoas que poderiam estar fazendo qualquer outra coisa , incluindo reclamarem , mas que estavam ali, se doando por um propósito. Lamentei pelo tempo que perdi, mas também me regojizei por ter percebido a tempo, que na Família Kung Fu o todo vem antes do particular...

So in order to make clear to people that make up the group of Si Hing and future qualified tutors of MYVT Meier School this time of transition from a Mo Gun, of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family to the house of the future Family Moy Fat Lei and adjustments and proposals to be submitted to Si Fu subsequently held a meeting in our Mo Gun last Saturday.

Mas independente de nossas conjecturas e do que é preciso fazer para o Núcleo Méier seguir firme nessa nova etapa. Tentei deixar claro para todos o segredo de nossa Família Kung Fu: A relação Si Fu-To Dai.

But regardless of our assumptions and what needs to be done to Meier School keep firm and wild following this new stage. I tried to make clear to all , the secret of our Kung Fu Family: The Si Fu-To Dai relationship.

MOY JO LEI OU DELEGATION TRIP TO US PART 1 (VIAGEM DA COMITIVA DA FAMILIA MJLO PARA OS EUA PARTE 1)

Em "Karate Kid 2" , Sr. Miyagi recebe uma carta de Okinawa que diz que seu pai está doente. Na mesma hora ele decide deixar tudo para viajar e poder ver seu pai antes de falecer. Acontece que na hora de sair de casa, Daniel-san não aparece e Sr. Miyagi decepcionado vai para o aeroporto no taxi que o espera.
Finalmente, na hora do embarque, Daniel aparece com passagens compradas e pergunta se pode ir junto. Questionado de como conseguiu dinheiro, ele responde que usou o dinheiro guardado para a faculdade. 
Sr. Miyagi não gosta do que ouve , e Daniel-San apenas diz que ele sempre o ajuda quando ele precisa, e agora que Sr. Miyagi precisava, ele queria estar lá para ele também. A faculdade poderia esperar mais seis meses. Miyagi aceita a companhia de Daniel e os dois viajam juntos.

In "Karate Kid 2", Mr. Miyagi receives a letter from Okinawa which says his father is ill. At the same time he decides to leave everything and go to see his father before he died. It turns out that at the time he would leave the house, Daniel-sandoes not appear . Mr Miyagi disappointed going to the airport  bythe taxi that awaits him.
Finally, at the time of boarding, Daniel appears with purchased tickets and asks if he can come along. Asked how he afford that, he replies that he used the money saved for college.

Mr. Miyagi not like what he heared, and Daniel-San only says he always helps when he needs to, and now that Mr. Miyagi needed, he wanted to be there for him too. College could wait another six months. Miyagi accepted Daniel's company and the two travel together.

Quando revi esse filme no início dos anos 2000. Já praticava Ving Tsun e já ouvia de Si Fu suas histórias a respeito de suas incríveis viagens para os EUA (foto). Nas quais pôde vivenciar momentos de Vida Kung Fu com os Si Hing de Si gung Leo Imamura, praticantes da mesma geração que ele, e principalmente com Si Taai Gung Moy Yat e Si Taai Po Helen Moy em pessoa.
Essas incríveis histórias, me fizeram ao rever "Karate Kid 2" querer viajar com Si Fu um dia para os EUA para poder viver momentos tão especiais quanto com ele... Mas desta vez, foram três irmãos Kung Fu que o fizeram...

When I reviewed this film in the early 2000s I was already practicing Ving Tsun and has heard of Si Fu stories about his inscredibles trips to the USA (photo). Where might experience moments of Kung Fu Life with Si Hing of  Si Gung Leo Imamura, practitioners of the same generation of  himself, and especially with Si Taai Gung Moy Yat  and Si Taai Po Helen Moy in person.
These amazing stories, when I did review the "Karate Kid 2" I wonder if I could  travel with Si Fu one day to the US to be able to live special moments as him ... But this time, there were three brothers Kung Fu who did ...

Si Fu (foto) viajou desta vez não só na condição de um discípulo de Si Gung Leo Imamura, mas como Si Fu de três caras muito especiais: Thiago Silva (foto vestindo vermelho), discípulo desde 2007 e Diretor do Núcleo Barra da Tijuca da Moy Yat Ving Tsun. O segundo, é Carlos Antunes, discípulo desde 2008, é o mais habilidoso no Luk Dim Bun Gwaan em nossa Família e uma referência em Vida Kung Fu.

Si Fu (photo) traveled this time not only as a disciple of Si Gung Leo Imamura, but as Si Fu of three very special guys: Thiago Silva (photo above wearing red), disciple since 2007 and Director of Barra da Tijuca school of Moy Yat Ving Tsun in west zone of Rio. 
The second is Carlos Antunes, disciple since 2008, is the most skilled in the Luk Dim Bun Gwaan in our family and a reference in Kung Fu Life.

O mais antigo dos três é Claudio Teixeira (em primeiro plano na foto). Discípulo desde 2013, Claudio é um veterano casca-grossa da Família Kung Fu. Claudio vem se destacando , pois tem equilibrado a sua aptidão física com um processo muito especial de vivencia com Si Fu.
Esses três praticantes entraram para a história de nossa Família ao integrarem a sua primeira comitiva. Claro, que neste momento isso talvez não seja muito claro para nenhum de nós. Mas se olharmos para Si Gung que viaja por décadas ano a ano para os EUA, os integrantes da primeira comitiva que o acompanhou, entraram para a história também.

The oldest of the three is Claudio Teixeira (foreground in the photo). Disciple since 2013 Claudio is a veteran badass of our Kung Fu Family. Claudio has stood out as he has balanced his physical skills with a very special process of life experiences with Si Fu.
These three practitioners entered in the history of our Family to integrate its first delegation. 
Of course, at this point it may not be very clear to any of us. But if we look at Si Gung traveling for decades every year to the US, the first delegation members who accompanied him, entered history as well.

Esta viagem serviu para o início e a manutenção de vários processos para a Moy Yat Ving Tsun em nível mundial. Todos estes eventos serão contados aqui ao longo das próximas semanas. Do pouco que ouvi de Si Fu hoje quando fui buscá-lo no aeroporto já pude perceber que Claudio, Silva e Carlos devem ser homens totalmente diferentes neste momento.

This trip served to the initiation and maintenance of various processes for the Moy Yat Ving Tsun worldwide. All these events will be counted here over the next few weeks. Para viajar com seu Si Fu desta forma, não é só uma questão de usar o dinheiro da faculdade, como em Karate Kid 2 (foto) , juntar o dinheiro desde o início do ano, ou mesmo ter o dinheiro. Não é culpa também do dólar estar alto ou não. Acompanhando esta viagem de longe percebi que é necessário algo a mais. Mas esse algo, somente Claudio, Silva e Antunes poderão dizer aqui em breve!

MASTER JULIO BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION (ANIVERSÁRIO DE MESTRE JULIO CAMACHO)

Hoje é aniversário do homem acima: Julio Camacho. Chamado mais tempo em sua vida de "Si Hing" e "Si Fu" do que de Julio . Isso porque sua participação decisiva no Clã Moy Yat Sang por mais de duas décadas, fez dele um grande pilar da Moy Yat Ving Tsun na America Latina.  Hoje, seu desafio é pegar "esse pilar" e guardá-lo , sem destruí-lo ou desfazê-lo, para que outros pilares possam surgir e não sejam assombrados pela altura que este alcançou.
Si Fu bebe café sem açúcar e não liga a TV assim que entra em casa. Além disso, apesar de não gostar de olhar a comida como elementos químicos apenas , assim como aquelas pessoas "viciadas" em saúde. Ele chama sua atenção se observar que seu prato não está "Muito colorido".

Today is the birthday of the  man above: Julio Camacho. Called more time in his life as "Si Hing" and "Si Fu" than Julio. That's because his decisive participation in the Moy Yat Sang Clan for more than two decades, made him a major pillar of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Latin America. Nasceu em 30 de novembro de 1969, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Si Fu é filho de Frederico Camacho(R.I.P.), professor de Artes Marciais, e de Vera Lucia Corrêa Camacho, professora universitária e psicopedagoga.Pouca gente sabe, mas Si Fu tem três irmãos: Frederico Pareto Camacho, Suréia Regina dos Reis Camacho da Rocha Menezes e Frederico José dos Reis Camacho.
Si Fu começou a trabalhar aos 12 anos vendendo panelas para comprar uma prancha, mas ele só conseguiu vender uma. E apenas aos Aos 16 anos, Si Fu começou a trabalhar com comunicação. Por conta disso não tomou trote na faculdade, pois os veteranos achavam que ele poderia conseguir um emprego para eles. Chegando já em 1991 ao cargo de Diretor de Criação, tendo acumulado diversos prêmios ao longo de pouco mais de dez anos de carreira.

He was born on November 30, 1969 in the city of Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Si Fu is the son of Frederico Camacho (RIP), a professor of Martial Arts, and Vera Lucia Correa Camacho, university professor. Few people know, but Si Fu has three brothers: Frederico Pareto Camacho,  Suréia  Regina dos Reis Camacho da Rocha Menezes and  Frederico  José dos Reis Camacho.
Si Fu began working at age 12 selling pots to buy a surfboard, but he only managed to sell one. And just to age 16, Si Fu began working with communication(marketing). Because of this he did not take hazing in college because the veterans thought he could get a job for them. Arriving in 1991 to the position of Creative Director, having accumulated several awards over little more than ten years of service.

Si Fu já escreveu um livro chamado "Tao do Surf" que lançou em 2002, é formado em Psicologia. Atividade esta que exerce na cidade do Rio de Janeiro e por fim, escreveu e produziu a série "DDD21" que conta com alguns nomes de peso como Edwin Luisi. Mas apesar de sua rica trajetória de vida e um dia-a-dia tão rico quanto, hoje, a ideia é falar um pouco do homem que inspirou esse Blog ,apesar de o patrono ser o Van Damme, no que diz respeito a esta data em especial.
Isso porque qualquer um desses e de outros seguimentos da vida de Si Fu, dariam um livro cada.

Si Fu has written a book called "Tao of the Surf" which had been released in 2002, has a degree in Psychology. he works with Psyvhology in Rio de Janeiro and finally wrote and produced the series "DDD21" which features some big names of brazilian dramaturgy like Edwin Luisi(From "Slave Isaura" soap-opera). But despite his rich life story and a day-to-day as rich , the idea is to speak a little of the man who inspired this blog, even though the patron is Van Damme, with respect to this date in particular.
This is because any one of those and other segments of Si Fu's life, could become a book.

Si Fu me explicou recentemente que "comemorar" vem da ideia de "memorar em conjunto". Ou seja, guardar uma data em conjunto. Si Fu também levou a mim e aos Si Dai presentes a entendermos que não se pode afirmar com precisão quando uma coisa começa de fato. Nessas horas, Si Fu costuma nos deixar especialmente sem graça: "Você Pereira, você acha que nasceu quando saiu da barriga da sua mãe, quando ela transou com seu pai ou quando seu avô cantou a sua avó?" - Por isso, Si Fu falou que arbitrariamente elegemos uma data em especial para que seja o marco de algum processo.
Si Fu tem todo um pensamento sobre aniversários e presentes. Eu gostaria de falar de cada um deles aqui. Mas vou guardar mais pra frente. Por hora, deixo abaixo as palavras do próprio sobre seu "aniversário":

Si Fu explains me recently that "comemorar"(protuguese for "to celebrate") comes from the idea of "remember together" That is, remember a date together. Si Fu also took me and my Si Dai present to  understand that we can not say precisely when something really begins. At such times, Si Fu usually leaves us especially dull, "You Pereira for example, do you think that you were born when it came out of his mother's womb or when she had sex with you father? Or even  when your grandfather said sweet-talk to your grandmother?" - So, Si Fu said that arbitrarily we elect a date in particular to be the hallmark of any process.

"Aniversário de 46 anos" (por Si Fu)

"Aniversários são, nada mais que, oportunidades de parar por uns instantes e repensar um trecho da vida. Nesta perspectiva, um certo distanciamento, nos ajuda a ter clareza sobre o que é verdadeiramente importante.
Ao mesmo tempo em que estou aqui cercado de centenas (e são centenas mesmo) de pessoas tão queridas e que nas últimas décadas tem escrito páginas tão significativas da minha vida, novamente neste dia, estou longe da minha casa, da Jade, da Julia, da minha mãe, de tanta gente tão importante pra mim... A saudade parece ficar um pouco mais forte nestes momentos e, às vezes, nos faz questionar algumas escolhas.

"46th bitrhday of Si Fu" (by Si Fu)

"Birthdays are nothing more than, opportunities to stop for a moment and rethink a stretch of life. In this perspective, a certain detachment, helps us to be clear about what is truly important.
While I'm here surrounded by hundreds (and are in fact hundreds) of people so dear and that in recent decades has written pages so significant in my life again on this day, I am far from my house, Jade, Julia, my mother, so many people so important to me ... The nostalgia seems to get a little stronger right now and sometimes makes us question some choices.
The certainty that we will be together soon, on the other hand, fills me with joy. It is curious to say that (now) 46, years old never felt so good, so young, so powerful and so willing to make so many cool designs and so much good in this world .At the  same time, the achievements I've ever had, the relationship I could build with my daughters and those around me, I end up wondering what more could want in life. KUNG FU FAMILY VISITS MYVT DOWNTOWN SCHOOL (FAMÍLIA KF VISITA O NÚCLEO CENTRO)

Por ocasião do aniversário do Líder da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, meu Si Fu Julio Camacho. Meus irmãos Kung Fu : Carlos Antunes , Ailton Jordão e Fabio Sá estiveram presentes no Núcleo Centro da Moy Yat Ving Tsun no Rio de Janeiro a fim de entregar em mãos o convite ao Líder da Familia Moy Ke Lo Si, nosso Si Suk Ricardo Queiroz.
Essa aventura começou muito antes, com todo o processo de combinar a ida de Carlos Antunes, até as orientações a Fabio Sá antes de sair do Núcleo Méier em direção ao Centro.

On the anniversary of the Leader of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, my Si Fu Julio Camacho. My Kung Fu brothers: Carlos Antunes, Ailton Jordao and Fabio Sa attended the  Moy Yat Ving Tsun Downtown School in Rio de Janeiro in order to hand-deliver an invitation to the Leader of Moy Ke Lo Si Family, our Si Suk Ricardo Queiroz.
This adventure began much earlier, with the whole process of schedule the date by Carlos Antunes until the guidelines to Fabio Sá before leaving the Meier School towards the Downtown School

Asad, To Dai de Si Suk Queiroz que fará sua Cerimônia de Baai Si no próximo mês, fez toda a intermediação para que essa visita se realizasse. Entre experiências práticas e vivenciais , os membros da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou foram muito bem acolhidos pela sua Família irmã.
Para Antunes, Ailton e Fabio, diferentes momentos foram responsáveis por tocá-los de alguma forma . Mas independente da razão que trouxe uma certa tensão a cada um deles, antes, durante e depois da visita. O importante é que essa tensão que trouxe a eles uma tomada de consciência sobre suas próprias atitudes.

"A Better Tomorrow" and the Chinese Mafia. ("A Better Tomorrow" e a máfia chinesa)

Em 1986 John Woo dirigiu um filme produzido por Tsui Hark que entrou para a história como um dos melhores filmes de mafia chinesa de todos os tempos chamado no ocidente de "A Better Tomorrow" , em cantonês o filme tem o titulo de "As verdadeiras cores de um herói". O filme estrela o austero ator Ti Lung como "Grande Irmão mais velho Ho" (Ho Da Ge) como o "Si Hing" de uma Família mafiosa  que tem a excelência em cada trabalho que executa. Ao seu lado, o frívolo e estiloso Mark Lee , interpretado magistralmente por Chow Yun-Fat. Por fim, temos Leslie Cheung, irmão mais novo de Ho (Ti Lung) que deseja se tornar policial.

In 1986 John Woo directed a film produced by Tsui Hark who went down in history as one of the best Chinese mafia movie of all time called in the West as "A Better Tomorrow" in Cantonese the film has the title  of"The true colors a hero ". The film star the elegant actor Ti Lung  as "Big Brother Ho" (Ho Da Ge) as the "Si Hing" of a Mafia family having excellence in every job that he does. Beside him, the frivolous and stylish Mark Lee, played masterfully by Chow Yun-Fat. Finally, we have Leslie Cheung, younger brother of Ho (Ti Lung) who wants to become a police officer.

Chow Yun-Fat está tão estiloso nesse filme como Mark Lee, que instantaneamente, apesar de interpretar um gangster, você admira o personagem. O sucesso desse personagem foi tanto, que em 1986 em Hong Kong, jovens passaram a usar sobretudo pelas ruas mesmo com um clima quente. A vestimenta passou a ser chamada desde então de  "Mark Gor Lau" (ou "Sobretudo do irmão Mark") uma referência direta ao personagem.

Chow Yun-Fat is so stylish in this film as Mark Lee, that you instantly, despite he  plays a gangster, you admire the character. The success of this character was so big that in 1986 in Hong Kong, young people began to use mainly the same coat of him on the streets even with a warm climate. The dress came to be called since then "Mark Gor Lau" (or "Coat of Brother Mark") a direct reference to the character.

No filme, Chow Yun Fat usa óculos da grife do ator Alain Delon. Com o sucesso do personagem, os óculos se esgotaram no mesmo ano em toda Hong Kong. O ator francês enviou então uma carta de agradecimento a Chow Yun fat.

In the film, Chow Yun Fat wear glasses  from the line of the actor Alain Delon. With the success of the character, the glasses were sold out the same year throughout Hong Kong. French actor then sent a thanks letter  to Chow Yun Fat.

Ti Lung , que interpreta o Si Hing da Familia mafiosa está impecável no filme. A história gira em torno do pedido do pai de Ho (Ti Lung) que ele abandone a Família e trabalhe honestamente. Justamente no último serviço em TaiPei ele é traído e fica preso por três anos.
O filme mostra as desavenças entre os irmãos de sangue Kit (Leslie Cheung) e Ho (Ti Lung) e a lealdade entre Ho (Ti Lung) e Mark Lee (Chow Yun Fat) como "irmãos de juramento" da máfia.

Ti Lung, who plays the Si Hing of Mafia Family is impeccable in the film. The story revolves around the request of the father of Ho (Ti Lung)for he abandons the family and work honestly. Just in his last service in TaiPei he is betrayed and gets jail for three years.
The film shows the disagreements between blood brothers Kit (Leslie Cheung) and Ho (Ti Lung) and loyalty between Ho (Ti Lung) and Mark Lee (Chow Yun Fat) as "sworn brothers" of the Mafia.

"A better tomorrow" se tornou uma trilogia com quase um filme por ano entre 1986 e 1989. Tarantino sugou quase todo o roteiro de "Reservoir Dogs" e "Pulp Fiction" desta trilogia. Mas por ser um filme obscuro no ocidente, poucas pessoas fizeram esta ligação até hoje.

"A better tomorrow" became a trilogy with almost a film a year between 1986 and 1989. Tarantino sucked most of the script of "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" from this trilogy. But because it is a unkown film in the West, few people made this link .

O filme trata acima de tudo sobre a relação de irmandade entre Ho(Ti Lung) e Mark Lee (Chow Yun Faat) e nos apresenta ao mundo da máfia chinesa. A máfia chinesa tem seus próprios códigos completamente diferentes da máfia italiana ou mesmo dos tratamentos entre membros de uma Família Kung Fu conforme o leitor se depara aqui por muitas vezes.

The film is above all about the brotherhood relationship between Ho (Ti Lung) and Mark Lee (Chow Yun Fat) and introduces us to the world of Chinese mafia. The Chinese mafia has its own completely different codes of the Italian mafia or even the treatment between members of a Kung Fu Family as the reader comes across here many times.

Na cultura chinesa o rito é de extrema importância como processo simbólico para que se estabeleça um marco. Segundo Karyn L. Lai - "...O procedimento cerimonial ocorre com base na suposição de que há um acordo geral entre as pessoas acerca dos desejos e interesses. Nos textos dos discípulos de Confúcius o conceito traduzido como reciprocidade e mutualidade , captura a essência da regra de ouro: há muita troca nas relações..."
Guan Yu (foto) é um ícone da cultura chinesa que é venerado por toda a sociedade chinesa, em especial, a máfia realiza a cerimônia de admissão do novo membro diante de uma estátua de Guan Yu.

In Chinese culture the rite is of utmost importance as a symbolic process in order to establish a landmark. According to Karyn L. Lai - "... The ceremonial procedure is based on the assumption that there is general agreement among people about the desires and interests In the texts of Confucius disciples the concept translated as reciprocity and mutuality, captures the essence. of the golden rule: there is much exchange in a relationship ... "
Guan Yu (photo above) is an icon of Chinese culture that is venerated by the whole Chinese society, particularly the Mafia performs a  induction ceremony for the new member in front of a statue of Guan Yu.

Nesta foto dos anos '60, um sargento da polícia de Hong Kong acende incensos para em seguida oferecê-los a Guan Yu. Isso porque apesar de ser uma figura muito presente nas famílias mafiosas , é muito comum ter um local desse em delegacias de Hong Kong.
Guan Yu , simboliza dentre tantas outras coisas a "Lealdade", talvez por isso, membros da mafia reverenciem esse ícone.

Observamos que a relação de Ho (Ti Lung) e Mark Lee (Chow Yun Fat) apesar de conter muita amizade, um código de "irmão mais velho" é respeitado entre eles. Na verdade, na máfia chinesa, o ranking de uma Família é dividido por um numeral. Cada conjunto de números corresponde a posição do membro nessa organização familiar. Segundo Marcel Granet : "... Os números, pares e ímpares , tem como função primordial distribuir a totalidade das coisas nas categorias Yin e Yang. A essa função classificatória liga-se imediatamente uma função protocolar. O Yang suplanta o Yin: O ímpar é uma síntese do ímpar e do par..."

We note that the relationship beyween Ho (Ti Lung) and Mark Lee (Chow Yun Fat) even though it contains a lot of friendship, a code of "big brother" is respected between them. In fact, in the Chinese mafia, the ranking of a family is divided by a numeral system. Each set of numbers represents the member's position on family organization. According to Marcel Granet: "... The numbers, odd and even, has the primary duty to distribute all of the things in the Yin and Yang categories At this classificatory function binds an immediate function protocol supersedes the Yin Yang:.. 

"A Better Tomorrow" se passa em Hong Kong. Isso porque com a Revolução na China continental, no início dos anos 50 as Famílias de mafiosos tiveram que migrar para Hong Kong. Foi exatamente na mesma época em que Patriarca Ip Man chegava ao protetorado britânico na época..
Estima-se que entre os anos 50 e 60, cerca de 300;000 membros dessas Famílias desembarcaram em Hong Kong. Desta forma, não é de se estranhar a locação usada para o filme.

"A Better Tomorrow" is set in Hong Kong. That's because with the Revolution in mainland China in the early 50s the mafia families had to migrate to Hong Kong. It was exactly the same time that Patriarch Ip Man came to the British protectorate at the time ..
It is estimated that between 50s and 60s, about 300, 000 members of these families arrived in Hong Kong. Thus, it is no wonder the location used for the film.
