Death should always be welcomed by the martial artist

 

Nos reunimos numa manhã de Domingo para celebrarmos a vida de Si Gung[foto]. São 58 anos de idade completados neste mês. Porém, quero destacar alguns momentos deste encontro através da plataforma Zoom. Sendo o primeiro deles, uma fala de Si Gung a respeito da “morte”. Pois na verdade, a cada ano tem um trecho de alguma fala de Si Gung que me toca mais dentre todas as outras. E dessa vez, essa chegou em excelente momento... 

Atravessando um momento de mudança muito forte em minha vida, me senti com muita sorte ao ouvir Si Gung dizer o seguinte: “...Nós começamos a cansar de fluir de acordo com as mudanças, e aí é quando 'nos tornamos velhos'... O Kung Fu, serve para que a gente aprenda a não se cansar...” - Mais tarde, ainda na mesma celebração, Si Suk Washington, discípulo de Si Gung,  teria dito o seguinte sobre o mesmo tema: “...Nós devemos ver o ciclo, e não o fato...“

Esses dois trechos a respeito de como encarar a “mudança” me tocaram profundamente. E imediatamente, me fizeram encarar meu momento atual de vida por uma perspectiva muito mais amadurecida. E essa tomada de consciência se consolidou quando Si Gung disse: “...Hoje vemos artistas marciais com medo de 'morrer'...” - Si Gung se referia a um processo de “morte simbólica”. Ele prosseguiu: “...A morte deve ser sempre bem-vinda... A 'Vida Kung Fu' é o nosso 'realm'. E lá, a morte sempre é bem-vinda...” - Concluiu. 

We got together on a Sunday morning to celebrate Si Gung's life [photo]. This month he completed 58 years of age . However, I want to highlight some moments of this meeting through the Zoom platform. The first one, a speech by Si Gung about "death". For in fact, each year there is an excerpt from some Si Gung speech that touches me most of all the others. And this time, it arrived at an excellent time ...

Going through a moment of very strong change in my life, it made me feel very lucky to hear Si Gung say the following: “... We started to get tired of flowing according to the changes, and that's when 'we got old '... Kung Fu is for people to learn not to get tired ... ”- Later, still in the same celebration, Si Suk Washington, Si Gung's disciple, would have said the following on the same theme:“ ... We must see the cycle, not the fact ... "

These two excerpts on how to face the "change" touched me deeply. And immediately, they made me look at my present moment in life from a much more mature perspective. And that awareness became consolidated when Si Gung said: "... Today we see martial artists afraid of 'dying' ..." - Si Gung was referring to a process of "symbolic death". He continued: “... Death must always be welcome ... 'Kung Fu Life' is our 'realm'. And there, death is always welcome ... ”-he concluded.

Si Suk Washington, compartilhou conosco uma série de slides a respeito da trajetória de Si Gung. Ele, que morou no Mo Gun e foi responsável pelo mesmo de diferentes formas e em diferentes momentos. Teve uma apreciação da carreira de seu Si Fu Leo Imamura que poucos tiveram. Graças as suas palavras seguidas por fotos, pude compreender melhor uma série de mudanças dentro de nossa instituição, que antes não compreendia muito bem. Porém, Si Suk Washington pontuou muito bem, todo um processo de ascensão de Si Gung no cenário das artes marciais do Brasil na década de '90 e de uma posterior ”decadência”. Palavra esta que Si Suk dizia não gostar quando Si Gung falava. - ”...Eu estou curtindo minha decadência...”- Disse Si Suk Washington parafraseando o que Si Gung dizia naqueles tempos. 

Para mim, ficou uma consciência muito clara de como Si Gung ao identificar um novo ciclo, redirecionou as suas energias apenas para a Família Kung Fu e não mais para o Mainstream. Como se soubesse esse momento ressurgiria de uma outra maneira no futuro. 

Si Suk Washington, shared with us a series of slides about Si Gung's trajectory. He, who lived at Mo Gun and was responsible for it in different ways and at different times. He had an appreciation of the career of his Si Fu Leo Imamura that few had. Thanks to his words followed by photos, I was able to better understand a series of changes within our institution, which I did not understand very well before. However, Si Suk Washington scored very well, a whole process of the rise of Si Gung on the Brazilian martial arts scene in the '90s and a subsequent “decadence”. A word that Si Suk said he didn't like when Si Gung spoke. - "... I'm enjoying my decay ..." - Si Suk Washington said to paraphrase what Si Gung used to say in those days.

For me, there was a very clear awareness of how Si Gung, when identifying a new cycle, redirected his energies only to the Kung Fu Family and no longer to the Mainstream. As if he knew that moment, he would resurface in another way in the future.

Este evento não teve apenas esse tom sério que apresento aqui, pois fomos também brindados com um emocionante relato do meu Si Baak Nataniel Rosa a respeito da trajetória de Si Gung ao longo da década de '90. Foi realmente muito especial vê-lo se emocionar ao rememorar diferentes momentos, falas e episódios que vivera com seu Si Fu. Eu mesmo me emocionei ouvindo seu relato. Pois percebia ali não o Mestre Senior, o super praticante, o Si Fu Nataniel... Mas sim, o discípulo que admira o seu Si Fu. E que estava renovando o respeito por todo o seu esforço. O que com certeza, inspirou a todos que o ouviam e assistiam. 

This event not only had that serious tone that I present here, as we were also treated to an exciting account of my Si Baak Nataniel Rosa regarding Si Gung's trajectory throughout the '90s. It was really very special to see him get emotional when he recalled different moments, speeches and episodes that he had lived with his Si Fu. I myself was thrilled to hear his report. For there was not perceived by the Senior Master, the super practitioner, the Si Fu Nataniel ... But yes, the disciple who admires his Si Fu. And that he was renewing respect for all his efforts. Which certainly inspired everyone who heard and watched him.

An invitation from Moy Ke Lo Si Clan from Rio de Janeiro

 

Pouco mais de dois meses atrás, estava em um lugar que gosto muito de frequentar no bairro do Méier. Trata-se de um Pub em que todas as bandas ao vivo, tocam sempre pop/rock da década de '80. Então eu gosto bastante de estar lá. E qual não foi a minha surpresa, ao ser abordado pelo Romulo Marques? Ele que é Membro do Clã Moy Ke Lo Si e discípulo do meu Si Suk, o Mestre Senior Ricardo Queiroz, que lidera este Clã ao lado de sua esposa minha Si Suk Mo Flavia Brambilla. 

Eu e Romulo nos abraçamos, trocamos algumas poucas palavras, e a noite seguiu. Eu que gosto muito de cantar e dançar essas músicas segui me divertindo, ainda que em tantos outros momentos, Romulo tenha me percebido sempre formal e sério por conta de alguma atribuição do círculo marcial. 

Portanto, quando seu irmão Kung Fu Leo Macedo me procurou para me convidar a ser testemunha honorável em um Ato Cerimonial do Clã Moy Ke Lo Si, aceitei prontamente. Porém, achei por bem chamar a atenção de Leo ao fato de que não precisava ser tão formal comigo. Disse a ele que “Mestre” era um título e que “Si Hing” era como seus irmãos Kung Fu me chamavam. Mas que ele poderia inclusive, me chamar de “Thiago”. A partir daí, nossa interação foi mais relaxada. 

Então foi com muita felicidade que durante a cerimonia que aconteceu através da plataforma ZOOM, vi meu Si Suk Ricardo Queiroz exatamente falar algumas palavras sobre a ideia de que um “Mestre” não é um ser infalível... E aquilo me tocou muito...  Não porque eu não soubesse, mas por saber, a importância de todos ouvirem aquilo vindo dele: Um Mestre Senior.

Just over two months ago, I was in a place I really like to go and have fun  in the Méier neighborhood. It is a Pub in which all live bands always play pop / rock from the '80s. So I really enjoy being there. And what was not my surprise, when I was approached by Romulo Marques? He who is a member of the Moy Ke Lo Si Clan and a disciple of my Si Suk, Senior Master Ricardo Queiroz, who leads this Clan alongside his wife, my Si Suk Mo Flavia Brambilla.

Romulo and I hugged each other, exchanged a few words, and the night went on. I love to sing and dance these songs I kept having fun, although in so many other moments, Romulo always perceived me as formal and serious because of some attribution of the martial circle.

Therefore, when his Kung Fu brother Leo Macedo  came to me to invite me to be an honorable witness in a Ceremonial Act of the Moy Ke Lo Si Clan, I readily accepted. However, I thought it best to call Leo's attention to the fact that he didn't have to be so formal with me. I told him that "Master" was a title and that "Si Hing" was what his Kung Fu brothers called me. But he could even call me "Thiago". From then on, our interaction was more relaxed.

So it was with great happiness that during the ceremony that took place through the ZOOM platform, I saw my Si Suk Ricardo Queiroz exactly speaking a few words about the idea that a “Master” is not an infallible being ... And that touched me a lot .. Not because I didn't know, but because I knew, the importance of everyone hearing it coming from him: A Senior Master.

Por conta dessa quantidade de participantes[Sem contar os orientadores que falavam algumas palavras também], a dinâmica do evento tinha uma precisão bem grande com relação ao tempo de fala de cada um. Com isso, pude perceber uma atenção maior dos particpantes, para não se perderem em seus pensamentos durante a fala. Pois com isso, o tempo acabaria e não conseguiriam concluir. Os que ficaram desatentos, percebiam imediatamente quando era avisado que o tempo de fala havia acabado, que dormiram em algum momento. 

Também tivemos a participação do Mestre Pedro Lamarão, membro do Clã Moy Ke Lo Si, tecendo palavras quando a mesma era passada a ele. Pedro que é um dos discípulos mais leais e longevos de seu Si Fu, meu Si Suk Ricardo Queiroz. E além dele, também foi muito bom ouvir outro Daai Si Hing da Família falando: Eduardo Esteves. Me chamou a atenção a mudança de atitude em seu discurso. Eduardo, que sempre brincava nos momentos em que tomava a palavra, desta vez estava mais assertivo em suas colocações. E não é que um tom leve seja ruim, mas naquele momento, sua conduta me pareceu mais apropriada ao peso do evento. 

Because of this number of participants [Not to mention the Kung Fu brothers who spoke a few words too], the dynamics of the event had a very high precision regarding the speaking time of each one. With that, I was able to perceive a greater attention of the participants, so as not to get lost in their thoughts during speech. For with that, time would end and they would not be able to conclude. Those who were inattentive immediately noticed when they were told that the time for speaking was over, that they had been inattentive at some point.

We also had the participation of Master Pedro Lamarão, a member of the Moy Ke Lo Si Clan, weaving words when it was passed on to him. Pedro who is one of the most loyal and long-lived disciples of his Si Fu, my Si Suk Ricardo Queiroz. And besides him, it was also very good to hear another Daai Si Hing from the Family speaking: Eduardo Esteves. The change in attitude in his speech caught my attention. Eduardo, who always joked when he took the floor, this time was more assertive in his statements. And it's not a light tone to be bad, but at that moment, his conduct seemed more appropriate to the weight of the event.

Em alguns momentos da Cerimonia, também nos foi possível apreciar as palavras da querida Si Suk Mo Flavia. Para mim, sempre fica o registro do quanto ela vibra, se emociona e segue junto, com os membros de sua Família Kung Fu. Graças as conversas promovidas pelo Instituto Moy Yat com a minha Si Taai Vanise Almeida, consegui entender melhor a função de “Si Mo” em uma Família Kung Fu. E vendo a Si Suk Mo Flavia em momentos assim, é sempre tocante acompanhar sua participação na Família que vai infinitamente além, de apoiar seu marido que é o “Si Fu”. E talvez percebendo isso, já tem uns anos que acompanho sempre Si Suk Ricardo dedicar um trecho da maioria de seus discursos a ela. Sempre enaltecendo seu companheirismo. 

Finalizo, falando do Si Suk Ricardo. Ele costuma  montar um raciocínio muito profundo sobre momentos como esses e colocá-lo em palavras. Porém, como meu Si Fu costuma dizer, você sente claramente quando a pessoa se emociona. Si Suk Ricardo costuma parar de falar, então o olhar dele se fixa em algum ponto a frente, aí seus olhos se enchem de água e ele se emociona. E nesta Cerimonia não foi diferente... Acredito muito na emoção que ele e sua esposa sentem em momentos assim... Por isso também, fiz questão de listar cada nome. Pois desde a coragem para fazer parte de uma Família Kung Fu, até a de dar mais um passo dentro do Sistema, merece ser registrado. E não há Si Fu e Si Mo que não fiquem tocados com algo assim, principalmente em um momento desafiador como o que cada Família Kung Fu atravessa nesse momento de formas diferentes...

Sorte a todos e meu singelo agradecimento pela oportunidade.

In some moments of the Ceremony, we were also able to appreciate the words of dear Si Suk Mo Flavia. For me, there is always a record of how much she vibrates, is moved and goes along with the members of her Kung Fu Family. Thanks to the conversations promoted by the Moy Yat Institute with my Si Taai Vanise Almeida, I was able to better understand the role of  a  the “Si Mo” in a Kung Fu Family. And seeing Si Suk Mo Flavia in moments like this, it is always touching to follow her participation in the Family that goes infinitely beyond, to support her husband who is the  "Si Fu". And perhaps realizing this, I have always followed Si Suk Ricardo for a few years and I always see him take space to dedicate a part of most of his speeches to her. Always praising her companionship.

I conclude by talking about Si Suk Ricardo. He tends to put together a very deep reasoning about moments like these and put it into words. However, as my Si Fu used to say, you clearly feel when the person is moved. Si Suk Ricardo usually stops talking, so his eyes is fixed somewhere ahead, then his eyes fill with water and he gets emotional. And this Ceremony was no different ... I believe a lot in the emotion that he and his wife feel in moments like this ... So also, I made a point of listing each name. Because from the courage to be part of a Kung Fu Family, to that of taking another step inside the System, it deserves to be registered. And there is no Si Fu and Si Mo that are not touched by something like that, especially in a challenging moment like the one that each Kung Fu Family goes through in that moment in different ways ...

Master Julio Camacho's mother. The “Si Taai” [師太].

 No ”Dia Internacional da Mulher”, este artigo fala um pouco de uma pessoa que mesmo em quase quinze anos de existência desta página, não havia ainda recebido a devida homenagem: Senhora Vera Camacho[foto].

Quando falamos de “Mãe” em chinês, me ocorrem neste momento, duas possibilidades: A primeira delas, é de quando falamos da “Mãe” de alguém. Neste caso, falamos 母亲 [mǔqīn] . Onde qīn[亲] pronuncia-se como algo aproximado de “tchin“ e está relacionado a parentesco. E mǔ[母], significa  “Mãe”. Como não poderíamos simplesmente dizer ou escrever mǔ[母], coloca-se  qīn[亲] para se formar um substantivo. Então entendemos que esta é a maneira pela qual chamamos uma “Mãe” que não a nossa. Porém ao me referir a minha própria “Mãe”, eu posso dizer: 妈妈 [māma], algo como  “Mamãe“, mas observe que os ideogramas mudam. 

Em português [ ou inglês] também podemos nos expressar diferenciando a “Mãe” de alguém da nossa própria, mas esta em especial, é a “Mãe do Si Fu”.

On "International Women's Day", this article talks a little about a person who, even in the almost fifteen years of existence of this page, we did not mention so much as she deserved: Ms. Vera Camacho [photo].

When we speak of “Mother” in Chinese, two possibilities occur to me at this moment: The first is when we speak of someone's “Mother”. In this case, we speak 母亲 [mǔqīn]. Where qīn [亲] is pronounced something like "tchin" and is related to kinship. And mǔ [母], means "Mother". As we could not simply say or write mǔ [母], qīn [亲] is used to form a noun. In Portuguese [or English] we can also express ourselves to differentiate the "Mother" from someone from our own, but this one in particular is the "Mother of Si Fu".

E foi exatamente Si Fu, que por inúmeras vezes falou de um livro que lhe chamou a atenção certa vez, pois estava escrito nas primeiras páginas uma indagação a respeito da sorte que o leitor tinha de estar lendo aquelas palavras. Pois o autor comentava sobre a série de episódios engendrados através da genealogia do leitor, para que o mesmo tivesse nascido. Desta forma, se por alguma razão a Sra. Vera Camacho[foto acima] não houvesse ido naquele primeiro encontro com o pai de meu Si Fu. Provavelmente eu não estaria aqui agora escrevendo estas linhas. 

Além disso, um Si Fu não nasce pronto, e a “Mãe do Si Fu” conheceu ele de uma maneira e em uma época, que nenhum de seus seguidores pode imaginar. Ainda que tentemos.

And it was exactly Si Fu, who repeatedly spoke of a book that caught his attention once, because it was written on the first pages, a question about how lucky the reader was to be reading those words. Si Gung[foto] já disse algumas vezes, que quando alguém faz aniversário, os pais deveriam ser os principais homenageados. E foi ele também, que por inúmeras vezes apresentou publicamente a Sra Vera como “Mãe do Julio”. E essa, aos olhos do Si Gung e dos irmãos Kung Fu de Si Fu, é uma outra forma de se referir a essa pessoa. Não só nas palavras, mas no sentimento que a mesma carrega. 

Si Gung [photo] has said a few times, that when someone has a birthday party, the parents should be the main honorees. And it was he, too, who publicly introduced Mrs. Vera as the “Julio's mother”. And this, in the eyes of Si Gung and Si Fu´s Kung Fu brothers, is another way of referring to that person. Not only in the words, but in the feeling that it carries.

Em 1997 , a “Mãe do Si Fu”  passaria a ser chamada também de “Vó Éia“. Primeiro pela Jade[foto], que nascia naquele ano. E qual devem ter sido os tantos sentimentos que ela sentiu, ao ver sua primeira neta nascer? Afinal, Si Fu havia iniciado uma carreira profissional dentro do Ving Tsun, que num primeiro momento lhe pareceu não tão promissora quanto a anterior como publicitário. E agora, ele tinha uma filha. 

In 1997, “Si Fu's mother” would also be called “Grandma Eh-iah“. First by Jade [photo], who was born that year. And what must have been the many feelings she felt when she saw her first granddaughter being born? After all, Si Fu had started a professional career within Ving Tsun, which at first seemed not as promising as the previous one as a publicist. And now, he had a daughter.

Mas o apoio a nova carreira de Si Fu, não começou quando a Jade nasceu. Dois anos antes, quando Si Fu ainda dava as aulas no terraço da casa da Si Suk Ursula Lima [foto]. A Sra Vera resolveu pagar a mensalidade da então adolescente Ursula Lima [sua sobrinha], para que o número de praticantes na primeira turma de Si Fu aumentasse. E então, a  “Mãe do Si Fu”  também passava a ser conhecida no círculo marcial como  “Tia Vera “. A tia da futura primeira Mestra de Ving Tsun da América Latina, que viabilizara o início de sua jornada, sem ao menos imaginar o potencial estrondoso de sua sobrinha. 

Não satisfeita, quando Si Fu alugou sua primeira sala na Estrada do Tindiba, ela presenteou o local com um jogo de espelhos grandes para a parede. Segundo ela própria em relatos, para dar uma impressão de que tinham mais alunos na sala ou mesmo, que a sala parecesse maior.

But support for Si Fu's new career did not begin when Jade was born. Two years earlier, when Si Fu was still teaching on the rooftop of Si Suk Ursula Lima's house [photo]. Quando o ano de 2005 já estava quase se encerrando, a Sra Vera voltaria a ser a “Vó Éia“. Só que desta vez, da Julinha[foto]. Julia que não gostava de ir no colo de qualquer pessoa, dava a sua avó mais uma vez, a possibilidade de exercer essa função tão especial. 

Quando a Julia nasceu, Si Fu enfrentava um momento profissional desafiador, ainda assim ele diria - “Ótimo momento para ter um filho...Criança é sempre bom...“. Essa frase me tocou profundamente, mesmo com a minha imaturidade da época. E pensando bem hoje, mesmo com os desafios que teve de enfrentar na criação de Si Fu. A Sra. Vera foi capaz de prover a ele uma experiência, que não lhe tomasse futuramente, esse olhar tão animado em relação a paternidade. Mesmo num momento adverso.

When the year of 2005 was almost over, Mrs. Vera would be “Grandma Eh-iah” again. Only this time, from Julinha [photo]. Julia, who did not like to be held by anyone, gave her grandmother, once again, the possibility to exercise this very special function.When Julia was born, Si Fu faced a challenging professional moment, yet he would say - "Great time to have a child ... Children are always good ...". This phrase touched me deeply, even with my immaturity at the time. And thinking about it today, even with the challenges Mrs Vera Camacho had to face in raising Si Fu. Mrs. Vera was able to provide him with an experience, which would not take from him in the future, that look so happy in relation to fatherhood. Even in an adverse moment.

E observar a relação de Si Fu com ela amadurecer de uma maneira muito especial a medida com que os anos passam. E talvez, para traze-la ainda mais até a Família Kung Fu e para que a Família Kung Fu se aproximasse mais dela. Ela mais uma vez, passou a ser chamada de uma outra maneira no círculo marcial além das já citadas acima. Só que agora, não iríamos nos referir a relação dela com o Si Fu, com a Jade, Julia, ou mesmo com a Si Suk Ursula... Se tratava de uma relação nossa com ela: “Si Taai” [師太]. Um termo do dialeto cantonês próprio do círculo marcial que se refere a “Avó“.

Porém, nenhum de nós e nem a  “Si Taai” [師太] Vera, poderíamos imaginar o que estava por vir: Si Fu mudava-se definitivamente do Brasil para os EUA em 29 de Janeiro de 2020 [foto da despedida acima]. Com isso, poderia iniciar um trabalho inédito em solo americano, com tudo que aprendera com Si Gung por quase três décadas ininterruptas. O que não sabíamos, é que logo depois, o mundo seria assolado pela pandemia. E coube a Si Fu, fazer um dos movimentos que ele considerou um dos mais importantes que seu Kung Fu lhe possibilitou em todos estes anos.

However, none of us and neither “Si Taai” [師太], we could imagine what was to come: Si Fu definitely moved from Brazil to the USA on January 29, 2020 [photo of the farewell above]. With that, he could start an unprecedented work on American soil, with everything he learned from Si Gung for almost three uninterrupted decades. What we didn't know, is that soon after. The world would be hit by the pandemic and it was up to Si Fu, to make one of the movements that he considered one of the most important that his Kung Fu has enabled him in all these years.

Si Fu e Si Mo[foto] levaram “Si Taai” [師太] para viver com eles por alguns meses nos EUA. Com isso,  a quarentena que poderia ser muito dura para ela, passaria a ser a principal razão para que um vínculo muito forte fosse renovado com seu filho e confirmado com sua nora. 

E o filho que sumia nos finais de semana para surfar em algum lugar do estado do Rio na adolescência. Provia agora a sua mãe, um nível de cuidado muito maior do que ambos poderiam imaginar décadas atrás. Uma atenção cuidadosa que nem a carreira mais bem sucedida da história da publicidade poderia proporcionar. Mas que a vivencia profunda da Vida-Kung Fu com Si Gung, possibilitou a Si Fu desenvolver. 

Si Fu and Si Mo [photo] took “Si Taai” [師太] to live with them for a few months in the USA. With that, the quarantine that could be very harsh for her, would become the main reason for a very strong bond to be renewed with her son and confirmed with her daughter-in-law.

And the son who disappeared on weekends to surf somewhere in the state of Rio as a teenager, now provided his mother with a much higher level of care than both could have imagined decades ago. Careful attention that even the most successful advertising career in history could not provide. But that the profound experience of Kung Fu Life with Si Gung, enabled Si Fu to develop.

Dedico este “Dia Internacional das Mulheres“ a “Si Taai” [師太] Vera[foto], por ela ter cuidado do menino que um dia se tornaria o homem que me possibilitaria defender meus valores pessoais erguidos com a ajuda de meus pais. 

Sem sua dedicação irrestrita a seu filho , meu Si Fu Julio Camacho. Eu teria a vida que meus pais me deram, mas não a que meu Si Fu me ensinou a construir.

Master Ursula Lima: Si Suk that only I knew.

Certa vez Si Suk Ursula me deu uma sessão de Biu Ji quando ainda estávamos situados no Nucleo Jacarepaguá que ficava na Avenida Nelson Cardoso. Sabe-se que um dos diferenciais de nossa Linhagem é o ”Chung Chi”. E posso lembrar com perfeição, todo o ”Chung Chi” com o qual a Si Suk praticava o ”Chi Sau” do Biu Ji comigo. Anos mais tarde, observando meu Si Hing Cledimilson praticando ”Chi Sau” no primeiro endereço do Núcleo Méier, me veio à mente aquele momento com a Si Suk. Era como um jeito de fazer ”Chi Sau” que ficara bem marcado na primeira geração de praticantes do Núcleo Jacarepaguá. 

Talvez não seja a toa que ao observar meu Si Fu Julio Camacho, perceba nele toda essa ”energia para frente” independentemente da situação. Não me recordo mais, de um momento em que tenha visto ele abalado. E por conseguinte, a Si Suk Ursula também não. 

Talvez, devido a uma convivência tão intensa durante tantos anos, e a uma parceria profissional vencedora. Os dois sempre me pareceram possuir uma sintonia única. É claro, que qualquer sintonia entre duas pessoas diferentes, sempre será única. Mas aqui me refiro a algo mais especial. Pois percebia na Si Suk Ursula, nos anos em que esteve presente no dia a dia dos Núcleos dirigidos pelo meu Si Fu. Como ela parecia ter em sua conduta, muito do jeito dele. Fosse na precisão das palavras, ou na capacidade de amarrar uma reunião, de maneira com que todas as partes[ainda que muitas vezes oponentes] ficassem satisfeitas. 

Mesmo seguindo meu Si Fu por tanto tempo, para mim é difícil de acreditar que alguém possa ter absorvido a essência do pensamento dele tanto quanto ela. Mesmo sendo sua irmã Kung Fu e não sua To Dai. Acredito que a sua maneira, ela consegue expressar todo o carisma mas principalmente, a capacidade de realização que ele tem.  

Once Si Suk Ursula gave me a Biu Ji class when we were still located at MYVT Jacarepaguá School, which was on Nelson Cardoso Av. It is known that one of the differentials of our Lineage is "Chung Chi". And I can remember perfectly, all the "Chung Chi" with which Si Suk practiced Biu Ji's "Chi Sau" with me. Years later, watching my Si Hing Cledimilson practicing "Chi Sau" at the first address of Méier School, that moment with Si Suk came to mind. It was like a way of doing "Chi Sau" that had been well marked in the first generation of practitioners at the Jacarepaguá School.

Perhaps it is not for nothing that when observing my Si Fu Julio Camacho, I perceive in him all this "energy forward" regardless of the situation. I no longer remember a moment when I saw him shaken. And therefore, Si Suk Ursula also does not.

Perhaps, due to such an intense coexistence for so many years, and a winning professional partnership. The two always seemed to me to have a unique harmony. Of course, any connection between two different people will always be unique. But here I mean something more special. Because I noticed in Si Suk Ursula, in the years that I was present in the daily lives of the schools directed by my Si Fu. As she seemed to have in his conduct, very much in his own way. Whether it was the precision of the words, or the ability to tie up a meeting, so that all parties [albeit often opponents] were satisfied.

Even though I've been following my Si Fu for so long, it's hard for me to believe that anyone could have absorbed the essence of his thinking as much as she did. Even though she is his Kung Fu sister and his To Dai. I believe that in her way, she is able to express all the charisma but mainly, the capacity for accomplishment that he has.

Sempre percebi que mesmo muitas vezes não estando completamente de acordo com alguma proposta de Si Fu, ela de alguma maneira ou acabava se apoiando nisso para extrair um benefício, ou ajudava a fazer dar certo. Estas duas habilidades, tão importantes para um ”To Dai”, acabavam por se manifestar numa ”irmã Kung Fu” mais nova para com seu ”irmão kung fu mais vellho”. Algo que nós, como membros da Família Kung Fu do Si Fu, parecemos ainda não entender como fazer até hoje. 

Si Suk Ursula por vezes, me recomendou que chamasse meu Si Hing Leonardo apenas de ”Leo”, pela proximidade que temos. Afinal, apenas um ano nos distancia do início de nossa jornada. E mais de vinte anos depois, um ano não parece muita coisa. Porém, foi exatamente com ela que aprendi mais do que com ninguém, a importância do termo ”Si Hing”. Portanto, nunca me permiti chamar o Daai Si Hing apenas de ”Leo”. 

Quando a ouvia chamar meu Si Fu de ”Si Hing”, percebia muitos sentimentos ali dentro. Muito mais elaborados do que quando ela começou, e que talvez fosse até mesmo estranho chamar o primo por esse termo. Ainda assim, podia perceber um certo tom de gratidão em alguns momentos quando ela dizia ”Si Hing”.  Minha relação com meu Si Hing não é tão profunda assim, apesar disso, nos damos bem. E mais ainda : É a única pessoa em atividade que posso chamar assim. Não teria como ser diferente. 

I always realized that even though she was not completely in agreement with every Si Fu's ideas, she somehow ended up relying on it to extract a benefit, or helped to make it work. These two skills, so important for a "To Dai", ended up manifesting themselves in a younger "Kung Fu sister" towards her "older kung fu brother". Something that we, as members of the Si Fu's Kung Fu Family, still don't seem to understand how to do untill today.

Si Suk Ursula sometimes recommended that I call my Si Hing Leonardo Reis only by his name "Leo", due to the proximity we have. After all, only a year distances us from the beginning of our journey. And more than twenty years later, a year doesn't seem like much. However, it was exactly from her that I learned more than anyone, the importance of the term "Si Hing". Therefore, I never allowed myself to call Daai Si Hing just by "Leo".

When I heard her call my Si Fu as "Si Hing", I noticed many feelings within her words. Much more elaborate than when she started, and it might even be strange to call that cousin by that term. Still, I could sense a note of gratitude at times when she said "Si Hing". My relationship with my Si Hing is not that deep, despite that, we get along well. And even more: He is the only person in activity that I can call as Si Hing. There would be no way to be different.

Quando Si Suk Urusla ficou grávida, ela estava apenas começando a se dedicar mais intensamente a iniciar seu próprio grupo. A época, no bairro do Méier. Ela foi então até seu Si Hing Julio, meu SI Fu, em busca de alguma orientação - ”Criança é sempre bom”. – Teria dito ele. 

Essa relação de entrega tão grande que presenciei meu Si Fu empreender para com a Si Suk Ursula, me inspirou profundamente para que pudesse fazer o mesmo quando me tornei representante dele no Méier entre 2008 e 2015, e todos que ali praticavam me chamavam de ”Si Hing Thiago” ou ”Si Hing Pereira”.  Por vezes, com as melhores das intenções, queria tanto dar o meu melhor a cada um. Que acabei passando de alguns limites, ao ponto de quase usurpar o papel do Si Fu, mesmo sem perceber. 

Mas voltando a falar em ”Chung Chi”, essa intenção de avançar tão presente em nosso Grande Clã Moy Yat Sang. Quando penso na relação do Si Gung, do meu Si Fu e da minha Si Suk com esse conceito. Costumo lembrar-me de uma fala do personagem Luke Skywalker salvo engano no filme ”O Retorno de Jedi”, como se fosse o Si Fu falando para mim - ”...A ‘Força’ é forte em minha Família. Meu pai a tinha, minha irmã a tem, eu tenho... Você tem esse poder também.. ” 

Por fim, o que foi escrito aqui, em parte eu presenciei, em parte eu ouvi, em parte eu fantasiei... Mas nada disso importa, se você puder tirar algo de bom do que leu até aqui.

My father had it, my sister has it, I have it ... You have that power too .. ”

Finally, what was written here, partly I witnessed it, partly I heard it, partly I fantasized ... But none of that matters, if you can get something good out of what you have read so far.

The groundbreaking Kung Fu Brothers from Rio.

Nos imanentes círculos das artes marciais chinesas chamados de ”Mo Lam” [武林]. Aqueles que alcançam altos níveis de proeminência nas artes que praticam escasseiam. Porém, em 1995 um fenômeno surgiu no bairro de Jacarepaguá com apenas dezesseis anos de idade. Ela se chamava Ursula Lima [foto], e vinte anos depois, se tornaria a primeira Mestra de Ving Tsun da America Latina reconhecida pela International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation em evento que se deu em Philly, nos EUA. Porém, naqueles primeiros momentos, a figura que mais lhe impactava no ”Mo Lam” [武林], era ninguém mais ninguém menos, que seu primo Julio Camacho. - ”...No fundo nem eu lembro disso, essa relação de primo faz tempo... Nossa relação sempre foi muito mais profunda na Família Kung Fu do que na Família consanguínea, talvez pela diferença de idade, mas antes do Ving Tsun a relação era bem de primo mesmo, que só se encontra nas festas de família, sem compromisso...” - Comenta a hoje Mestra Ursula Lima.

In the immanent circles of Chinese martial arts called "Mo Lam" [武林]. Those who reach high levels of prominence in the arts they practice are not many. Mestre Julio Camacho era um profissional super dedicado. Durante os anos que se seguiram após a abertura de seu primeiro Núcleo, venceu seguidamente o prémio de ” Destaque do ano” da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence [ A época, ainda chamada de ”Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Art System”].  

O que a Moy Yat Ving Tsun não imaginava, é que no mesmo Núcleo dirigido pelo jovem e promissor Julio Camacho, uma outra joia surgiria em pouco tempo... Pois a dedicação de Úrsula Lima ao Núcleo Jacarepaguá[mesmo com sua pouca idade] transformaria ela nos anos seguintes, numa espécie de ”braço direito”  do Mestre Julio Camacho. Pois apesar de se tornar discípula do Grão Mestre Leo Imamura três anos depois, era com seu ”Si Hing” Julio que vivia intensamente cada momento dentro do  ”Mo Lam” [武林]. -  ”...Talvez por ser prima e bem novinha na época, acho que o Sihing Julio não levava muita fé em mim. No fundo, eu achava que ele não me dava a mínima bola...risos E talvez por isso mesmo, eu fui ficando, fui ficando...E daquele primeiro grupo (que iniciou o antigo Núcleo Jacarepaguá) fui a única que permaneceu. Depois a relação foi ficando cada vez mais sólida...”- Comenta a Mestra Ursula Lima. 

Master Julio Camacho was a super dedicated professional. During the years that followed after the opening of his first School, he repeatedly won the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence "Highlight of the Year" award.

What Moy Yat Ving Tsun did not imagine, is that in the same school as the young and promising Julio Camacho, another jewel would appear in a short time ... Because Urusla Lima's dedication to the Jacarepaguá school [even at her young age] would transform her in the following years, in a kind of “right arm” of Master Julio Camacho. For despite becoming a disciple of Grand Master Leo Imamura three years later, it was with her "Si Hing" Julio that she lived intensely every moment within the "Mo Lam" [武林]. - ”... Maybe because I was a cousin and very young at the time, I think Sihing Julio didn't have much faith in me. Deep down, I thought he didn't give a damn about me ... laughs And maybe that's why, I stayed with him, so I stayed a little more ... And of that first group (that started the old Jacarepaguá school) I was the only one that remained. Then the relationship became more and more solid ... ”- Says Master Ursula Lima.

A parceria entre os dois se tornaria lendária nos anos que se seguiram. Se por um lado Mestre Julio Camacho era uma pessoa audaciosa, inovadora e criativa... Ele trabalhou o potencial de Mestra Ursula, não para que ela fosse uma cópia dele, mas para que descobrisse quem ela era de fato como profissional. Isso se mostrou uma decisão acertada em pouco tempo, pois a personalidade mais pragmática de Mestra Ursula, funcionava como um complemento perfeito a de seu Si Hing Julio. O que elevava o trabalho do Núcleo Jacarepaguá e posteriormente Barra da Tijuca, a estratosfera - ”...Sempre fui muito ativa no Núcleo. Por isso errei muito e aprendi muito. O único mérito que me atribuo e que talvez possa servir como referência foi o de 'ter ficado'.

Durante o início do meu treinamento tive irmãos kung fu muito presentes e que a cada momento difícil me inspiravam em certo nível, principalmente quando o Núcleo ainda não tinha a devida maturidade . Foram muitas pessoas importantes, mas queria citar 03 que caracterizam um período bastante intenso do Ving Tsun pra mim: André Cardoso “Moy On Juen”, Monique Carvalho “Moy Man Lek” e Cledimilson Coutinho, grandes companheiros!...” - Diz ela relembrando a época. 

The partnership between the two would become legendary in the years that followed. If on the one hand Master Julio Camacho was an audacious, innovative and creative person ... He worked on the potential of Master Ursula, not so that she was a copy of him, but to discover who she really was as a professional. This proved to be a right decision in a short time, as Master Ursula's more pragmatic personality worked as a perfect complement to that of her Si Hing Julio. What elevated the work of the Jacarepaguá school and later Barra da Tijuca,to the stratosphere - ”... I was always very active in the School. So I made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot. The only merit that I attribute to myself and that can perhaps serve as a reference was that of 'staying'.

During the beginning of my training I had kung fu brothers who were very present and who at every difficult moment inspired me at a certain level, especially when the school was not yet mature. There were many important people, but I wanted to mention 03 that characterize a very intense period of Ving Tsun for me: André Cardoso “Moy On Juen”, Monique Carvalho “Moy Man Lek” and Cledimilson Coutinho, great companions! ... ”- She says remembering the time.

Mestra Ursula Lima se tornava ao longo dos anos, sob a tutela direta de seu “Irmão Kung Fu”, mais do que uma grande praticante e uma profissional sem igual: Mas um exemplo para qualquer mulher que desejasse se dedicar ao mundo das artes marciais chinesas! 

Sem perder a doçura e com uma fibra invejável, Mestra Ursula Lima não só conquistou seu espaço no disputado ”Mo Lam” [武林], mas foi também reconhecida internacionalmente por isso. Ela abriu caminho para que uma série de outras praticantes tivessem a mesma ou melhores oportunidades de se destacarem num meio muitas vezes dominado pelo público masculino. -  “...Quando olho para a Si Fu, depois de um dia cansativo no Núcleo Copacabana ... Penso no meu pai e na minha mãe, nos meus irmãos, penso no Sing Sang Ricardo e sua filha Rebeka. Penso no Si Gung Leo Imamura... O meu compromisso com a Si Fu é o que me possibilita perceber o mundo a minha volta em um outro nível. É o que me permite fazer parte desse mundo de maneira muito mais significativa... “ - Diz uma de suas principais alunas Helena C. Ribeiro.

As relações dentro do ”Mo Lam” [武林], são baseadas na proposta de Confúcio de estrutura familiar. Porém, observamos que os termos usados dentro deste mundo imanente das artes marciais, carregam o ideograma ”Si”[師] a frente do termo que denota a posição de alguém na árvore genealógica. Os idiomas ocidentais não compreendem por completo este ideograma, pois seu significado dependerá do contexto em que está sendo usado e do ideograma que vem a seguir. 

No caso de Mestre Julio Camacho e de Mestra Ursula Lima, a relação dos dois é a de  ”Irmãos-Kung Fu ”. Em cantonês[dialeto da região da qual se originou o Sistema Ving Tsun] escreve-se  ”Si Hing- Dai ” [師兄弟] . 

Mestre Julio Camacho já falou por mais de uma vez publicamente, sobre o quão determinante Mestra Ursula foi para sua carreira. Da parte dela, um respeito e uma grande gratidão sempre se fazem presentes. E talvez, para aqueles que viveram os tempos de grandes aventuras, quando ambos trabalhavam no mesmo espaço diariamente por duas décadas. Saibam que talvez nunca mais haverá uma relação  ”Si Hing- Dai ” [師兄弟] de tanto sucesso quanto essa no estado do Rio e quem sabe no Brasil.

 E se você duvida, você tem os próximos vinte anos para provar o contrário com seu ”Irmão-Kung Fu ” mais próximo... - ”...Eu tenho uma gratidão muito grande pelo Sihing Julio, foi ele quem me apresentou ao Sistema Ving Tsun, criou a ponte para o meu Si fu, me conduziu por todos os Níveis do Sistema, me possibilitou estar hoje diariamente dedicada ao Ving Tsun, foi uma inspiração em muitos momentos decisivos e soube colocar muitas palavras duras e necessárias em outros momentos difíceis..., enfim não caberia aqui o que nossa relação comporta. Hoje, me sinto madura a também retribuir esse cuidado à sua família Kung Fu...” - Diz a Mestra sobre essa relação.

The relationships within "Mo Lam" [武林], are based on Confucius' family structure proposition. However, we observe that the terms used within this immanent world of martial arts, carry the ideogram "Si" [師] in front of the term that denotes someone's position in the family tree. Western languages ​​do not fully compreends this ideogram, as its meaning will depend on the context in which it is being used and the ideogram that follows.

In the case of Master Julio Camacho and Master Ursula Lima, their relationship is that of “Kung Fu Brother”. In Cantonese [dialect of the region from which the Ving Tsun System originated] it is written "Si Hing-Dai" [師 兄弟].

Master Julio Camacho has spoken more than once publicly, about how decisive Master Ursula was for his career. On her part, respect and great gratitude are always present. And perhaps, for those who lived through the times of high adventures, when both worked in the same space daily for two decades. Para quem me conhece mais de perto, sabe o quanto gosto do seriado "Smallville- As aventuras do Superboy" que passava no SBT. Na serie, Clark Kent(Tom Welling) ainda estava descobrindo seus poderes, e para resolver os desafios de cada episódio, ele contava com seus amigos. Dentre eles, destacava-se Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack). Chloe usava o computador do jornal da escola chamado "A Tocha" (The Torch no original), para dar as pistas e informações necessárias para Clark completar suas missões.
Minha To Dai[aluna] Caroline Archanjo, foi minha Chloe durante toda a viagem que descrevo em parte aqui. Sua assistência ao longo de todos os dias, foi fundamental em vários momentos. Principalmente devido ao nível de imersão nossa e da diferença de fuso-horário, as informações enviadas pela Caroline, foram de grande importância.
Acordando em Bruxelas[BEL] em direção ao Ducado de Luxemburgo, não foi diferente. Afinal, por seu intermédio, me foi possível descobrir precisamente a estação em Bruxelas que deveria pegar o trem para Luxemburgo, sua plataforma e seu trajeto. Digo isso, porque pelo fato de não conhecer a cidade nem a estação e por ser muito cedo, sabia que precisava ser muito certeiro para não perder o trem. E quando cheguei à plataforma com Si Fu['Mestre' no dialeto cantonês], pensei:"Quem diria, que o garoto de Rocha Miranda que só conhecia Madureira, guiaria um dia seu Mestre de Ving Tsun por Bruxelas?"-  Mas no fundo, sabia que a "Chloe Sullivan" da Família Moy Fat Lei, tinha realizado isso junto comigo.

For those who know me more closely, you know how much I like the series "Smallville" that was on SBT. In the series, Clark Kent (Tom Welling) was still discovering his powers, and to solve the challenges of each episode, he relied on his friends. Among them, Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) stood out. Chloe used the school newspaper's computer called "The Torch"  to provide the clues and information necessary for Clark to complete his missions.

My To Dai [student] Caroline Archanjo, was my Chloe during the entire trip that I describe in part here. Her assistance throughout every day was essential at various times. Mainly due to the level of our immersion and the time difference, the information sent by Caroline was of great importance.

Waking up in Brussels [BEL] towards the Duchy of Luxembourg, it was no different. After all, through it, I was able to discover precisely the station in Brussels that should take the train to Luxembourg, its platform and its route. I say that, because I didn't know the city or the station and because it was too early, I knew I needed to be very sure not to miss the train. And when I arrived on the platform with Si Fu ['Master' in the Cantonese dialect], I thought: "Who knew, that the boy from the poor Rocha Miranda neighborhood in Rio who only knew how to go to Madureira neighborhood, would one day guide his Ving Tsun Master through Brussels?" - But deep down , I knew that the Moy Fat Lei Family's "Chloe Sullivan" had accomplished this with me.

Meu irmão Kung Fu demorou a "sintonizar" naquele dia, e Si Fu falou de forma assertiva com ele por muito tempo desde que saímos do hotel. De minha parte, com receio de perder o trem, sugeri que fossemos para a plataforma muito antes do que o necessário. Isso fez com que Si Fu ficasse recebendo um vento de 1 °C, e ele me chamou à atenção com relação a isso.

My Kung Fu brother was slow to "tune in" that day, and Si Fu spoke assertively to him for a long time since we left the hotel. For my part, for fear of missing the train, I suggested that we go to the platform much sooner than necessary. This caused Si Fu to get a wind of 1 °C, and he caught my attention in this regard.

Pouca gente sabe, mas fico muito enjoado quando ando nesses trens rápidos europeus. Foi assim com o trem que ligava Barcelona à Madrid em 2017(FOTO). Minha cabeça parece virar um aquário e meu estômago embrulha como um bolo de aniversario de criança envolto com papel laminado.

E em meio a todo esse enjoo, eu e Claudio pegamos no sono. Ao abrir os olhos, Si Fu parou de escrever em seu computador, e sentado na poltrona diante de mim, começou a falar por muitos minutos, sobre a razão de eu ter dormido: "Aproveitei o intervalo." - respondi de forma inocente, mais preocupado com minha cabeça girando e meu estômago dando voltas. - " Que intervalo Pereira?" . - Si Fu chamou minha atenção de forma veemente.

Few people know, but I get very sick when I ride these fast European trains. So it was with the train that connected Barcelona to Madrid in 2017 (PHOTO). My head feels like an aquarium and my stomach wraps around like a child's birthday cake wrapped in foil.

And in the midst of all this nausea, Claudio and I fell asleep. When I opened my eyes, Si Fu stopped writing on his computer, and sitting in the armchair in front of me, he started talking for many minutes, about the reason why I slept: "I took the break." - I answered innocently, more concerned with my head spinning and my stomach turning. - "What break Pereira?" . - Si Fu vehemently said.

Si Fu falou de sua dedicação a viagem, de todo o seu empenho, e de como eu poderia explicar a ele, o fato dele estar focado e acordado e nós dois dormindo. Ele me perguntou, porque aquele momento deveria ser considerado um intervalo: "intervalo: "Você realmente só está preocupado com seu roteirinho? Você acha que não podemos aproveitar nada nesse momento?" - Si Fu fez uma rápida pausa, cruzou seus braços e perguntou-me :"Me responde uma coisa: O que eu estou fazendo nesse trem?".

Si Fu spoke of his dedication to the trip, of all his efforts, and how I could explain to him, the fact that he was focused and awake and we were both asleep. He asked me, because that moment should be considered an interval: "Are you really just worried about your travel planning? Dont you think we can't enjoy anything right now?" -Si Fu paused briefly, he crossed his arms and asked me: "Answer me one thing: What am I doing on this train?".

Quando chegamos a Luxemburgo, fazia um frio inacreditável! Mas eu adoro frio, então estava curtindo! O problema era que Si Fu ainda estava serio! E foi então que algo surpreendente aconteceu: Na Gare Central, ao descer do trem, descobri que não tem Uber em Luxemburgo. Começou a chover, e a cena era: Eu, Claudio e Si Fu em pé na frente da estação com a chuva apertando e Si Fu me olhando serio como quem diz: "E ai? Você vai me deixar na chuva?"- Olhei para o leste e vi alguns taxis, e acabamos sendo atendidos por um senhor que era português.  E em apenas 10 minutos, ele explicou tudo que se possa imaginar sobre Luxemburgo: Como trabalhar lá, como viver, o salário mínimo, etc... Ele inclusive falava seis idiomas! Por fim, ele nos convidou para uma "sidequest" :"Vocês podem pegar um comboio(trem) e ir até Trier, na Alemanha.".

When we arrived in Luxembourg, it was unbelievably cold! But I love cold, so I was enjoying it! The problem was that Si Fu was still serious! And then something surprising happened: At Gare Central, when I got off the train, I discovered that there is no Uber in Luxembourg. It started to rain, and the scene was: Me, Claudio and Si Fu standing in front of the station with the rain getting heavy and Si Fu looking at me seriously as if to say: So... Are you going to leave me in the rain?" - I looked at the east and I saw some taxis, and we ended up being served by a man who was Portuguese. And in just 10 minutes, he explained everything imaginable about Luxembourg: How to work there, how to live, the minimum wage, etc ... He even spoke six languages! Finally, he invited us to a "sidequest": "You can take a train and go to Trier, Germany."

 Estava tanto frio, que o calor do ônibus o fez esquecer, momentaneamente, de tudo até ali.)

Ao chegarmos no hotel, descobrimos que o check-in seria apenas as 14h. 

Deixamos as malas no hotel e fomos até o ponto de ônibus! Em Luxemburgo, aos Sábados os ônibus são de graça!

Upon arriving at the hotel, we found out that check-in would only be at 2pm. We left our bags at the hotel and went to the bus stop! In Luxembourg, buses are free on Saturdays!

Antes de pegarmos o trem para Trier, resolvemos almoçar num restaurante indiano. A comida era deliciosa e os atendentes extremamente educados. Mas eles nos olhavam de um jeito engracado :Era como se não fossemos bem-vindos, mas eles também não poderiam nos mandar embora(risos)

Before taking the train to Trier, we decided to have lunch at an Indian restaurant. The food was delicious and the attendants extremely polite. But they looked at us in a funny way: It was like we weren't welcome, but they also couldn't send us away (laughs)

A viagem para Trier foi longa, mas recompensadora. Conversamos sobre temas variados, apreciamos a paisagem e Si Fu parecia muito satisfeito com o que via da Alemanha. Lembrei de meu irmão Kung Fu Fernando Xavier, quando vi as pistas de asfalto extremamente lisas e com a umidade da garoa que não parava de cair, serpenteando as margens dos rios. Como pistas tão bem asfaltadas poderiam existir naquele fim de mundo?

The trip to Trier was long, but rewarding. We talked about different topics, enjoyed the scenery and Si Fu seemed very satisfied with what he saw from Germany. I remembered my  Kung Fu brother Fernando Xavier, when I saw the asphalt tracks extremely smooth and with the humidity of the drizzle that kept falling, winding the banks of the rivers. How could such well-paved tracks exist at that end of the world?

Ao chegarmos a Trier, me senti novamente com quatorze anos de idade jogando "Chrono Trigger" depois da escola e chegando a uma nova cidade. Tudo nesse lugar era magnifico! Estar na Alemanha para mim era uma emoção sem tamanho, devido a uma serie de questões particulares!

Somente o poder pessoal desenvolvido em mim através da relação com Si Fu, poderia ser capaz de me fazer chegar até ali do jeito que chegamos!

When we arrived in Trier, I felt again at the age of fourteen playing "Chrono Trigger" after school and arriving in a new city. Everything in this place was magnificent! Being in Germany for me was an emotion without size, due to a series of particular issues!

Only the personal power developed in me through the relationship with Si Fu, could be able to get me there the way we did!

Ao final, num restaurante russo no subsolo da cidade onde aprecio essa cerveja, tive uma das conversas mais emocionantes de minha trajetória com Si Fu. Tenho um irmão Kung Fu chamado Roberto Viana que é muito intenso assim como eu. Ele também é muito sensível, e aprecia momentos assim de forma muito inspiradora. Por isso, ao ouvir as palavras de Si Fu, me emocionaria por mim mesmo, mas tentei trazer em meu coração a memória do meu irmão Kung Fu. Imaginei ele ao meu lado, e o quanto ficaria feliz de ouvir aquilo. Afinal, ele me incentiva muito. Isso fez a experiência ser ainda mais enriquecedora!

In the end, in a Russian restaurant in the basement of the city where I enjoy this beer, I had one of the most exciting conversations of my career with Si Fu. I have a Kung Fu brother named Roberto Viana who is very intense just like me. He is also very sensitive, and enjoys moments like this in a very inspiring way. So, hearing Si Fu's words, I would be moved by myself, but I tried to bring the memory of my Kung Fu brother into my heart. I imagined him beside me, and how happy he would be to hear that. After all, he encourages me a lot. This made the experience even more enriching!

Queria transmitir em palavras tudo o que sinto ao olhar cenas como essa que presenciei da janela do trem. Veja: Qualquer idiota compra uma passagem e faz uma viagem. O que tem de especial nesses momentos não são somente os lugares que vimos e que compartilhamos juntos, mas o que sentimos. E principalmente, a maneira com que a vida nos levou até ali.

Mesmo que você me conhecesse a minha vida inteira, ainda assim, nunca entenderia o que senti naquele dia.  

I wanted to convey in words everything I feel when looking at scenes like the one I saw from the train window. See: Any idiot buys a ticket and takes a trip. What is special about these moments is not only the places we saw and shared together, but what we felt. And mainly, the way life took us there.

Even if you had known me my whole life, you would still never understand what I felt today. Even if you live with your Si Fu for twenty-one years like me, you will never understand this relationship ... Because this is my story, my look ...
