Fim de semana com Si Gung
Esse fim de semana tivemos a visita do Si Gung Leo Imamura ao nosso Mo Gun em Copacabana, para ministrar um Seminário de Tutorização do Nível Básico (Siu Nim Tau). Há 2 semanas a família Moy Lin Mah vinha organizando a vinda do Si Gung, com ajuda dos outros núcleos do Rio de Janeiro, para que tudo corresse da melhor maneira possível. Tivemos a visita de membros de outros estados como a Si Sok Cris, de São Paulo, e o Si Baak Anderson, de Belo Horizonte, além de vários outros discípulos do Si Gung aqui do Rio, assim como praticantes dos três núcleos daqui.
Apesar de toda preparação cuidadosa antes, claro que nem tudo sairia 100% como combinado, mas a ideia é estarmos sempre preparados para nos ajustarmos aos imprevistos, e cada um conseguiu cuidar das suas tarefas para que o evento começasse no horário previsto.
Weekend with Si Gung
This weekend we had the visit of Si Gung Leo Imamura at our Mo Gun in Copacabana, to teach a seminar about the Basic Level (Siu Nim Tau). For 2 weeks, theMoy Lin Mah Family had been organizing the coming of Si Gung, with help from other Moy Yat Ving Tsun schools in Rio de Janeiro, so everything went in the best way possible. We had a visit from members of other states such as Si Sok Cris,from São Paulo, and Si Baak Anderson, from Belo Horizonte, in addition to several other disciples of Si Gung here in Rio, as well as practitioners of the three MYVT Schools here.
Despite all the careful previous preparations, of course that not everything would go 100% as planned, but the idea is to always be prepared to adjust to the unexpected, and each could take care of their tasks for the event to begin on schedule.

Então começado o evento na manhã de sábado, Si Gung começou a falar, não especificamente sobre o Siu Nim Tau, mas sobre todo o âmbito do Ving Tsun, da sua natureza, da Vida Kung Fu, de seu Si Fu Grão Mestre Moy Yat e, claro, sobre o próprio Siu Nim Tau. Mas era muito mais uma conversa, um bate-papo, do que um formato de seminário ou palestra. Si Gung tem um raciocínio muito claro e uma forma de falar muito envolvente, e não víamos o tempo passando durante este bate-papo, e muito menos nos dávamos conta da quantidade de informação e conhecimento que estava sendo trocado (e não passado), somente naquela manhã.
Then started the event on Saturday morning, Si Gung started talking, not specifically about the Siu Nim Tau, but on the whole scope of Ving Tsun: its nature, Kung Fu Life, his Si Fu Grandmaster Moy Yat and of course, on the very Siu Nim Tau. But it was much more a conversation, a chat, than a lecture or seminar .
Si Gung has a very clear way of thinking and a very engaging way of speaking, and we did not see the time passing during this chat, and much less we realized the amount of information and knowledge that was being changed (and not last), only that morning.

Em determinado momento, em uma das pausas que fizemos, comentei com a Si Fu que eu achei interessante termos recebido um material com antecedência, que todos deveríamos ter lido para o seminário, e que durante a manhã o Si Gung colocou por apenas cinco minutos no projetor somente a capa deste material, para falar sobre os ideogramas que formam o nome "Siu Nim Tau", e ainda assim nós recebemos tantas informações sem quase perceber.
At one point, during one of the breaks we did, I commented with Si Fu that I found interesting to have received a material beforehand, that we should all have read for the seminar, and in the morning Si Gung placed only for five minutes in projector only the cover of this material, to talk about the ideograms that form the name "Siu Nim Tau", and yet we receive so much information almost without realizing it.

Após uma pausa para o almoço, retornamos na parte da tarde para um período mais longo de seminário, quando o Si Gung começou a discutir mais diretamente o Siu Nim Tau. Nesta segunda parte passamos um bom tempo numa discussão interessantíssima sobre "enxergar o invisível" e como aplicar isso como parte da Inteligência Estratégica. Basicamente é entender que para que um evento ocorra, desde o seu início, durante seu ápice, até o seu término, existe um outro evento se "pré-configurando", que não está claramente visível, mas que se pode antecipar, assim como as consequências daquele primeiro evento.
After a break for lunch, we returned in the afternoon for a longer period of seminary, when Si Gung began to discuss more directly the Siu Nim Tau. In this second part we spent a long time in a very interesting discussion on "see the invisible" and how to apply it as part of the Strategic Intelligence. Basically it is understood that in order for an event to occur, since its inception, during its peak to its end, there is another event is "pre-setting", which is not clearly visible, but you can anticipate, as well as consequences of that first event.

Uma das ideias que foram plantadas nesses dois dias e que foram mais marcantes para mim diz respeito exatamente a isso, e que é entender que um evento, isoladamente, não é importante se a gente não entender o que o causou (o que veio antes) e o que ele provoca (o que vem depois). E isso fez bastante sentido quando se falou sobre o Siu Nim Tau em si.
One of the ideas that were planted in these two days and that was most striking to me was exactly about that: To understand that an event, in isolation, is not important if we do not understand what caused it (what came before) and what causes it (that comes later). And it made perfect sense when you talked about the Siu Nim Tau itself.

Após toda essa discussão de visível, invisível, causa e consequência, surgiram algumas perguntas especificamente sobre o Siu Nim Tau, e só então, já quase no final do dia, Si Gung abriu o material que nos foi entregue. Em cima disso, discutimos alguns componentes associados do Siu Nim Tau.
After all this discussion of visible, invisible, cause and consequence, there have been some questions specifically about Siu Nim Tau, and only then, almost at the end of the day, Si Gung opened the material delivered to us. On top of that, we discuss some associated components of the Siu Nim Tau.

Depois disso encerramos este dia de seminário. O Si Gung e alguns membros mais próximos da família foram para um jantar, o Si Hing Thiago Pereira foi com alguns praticante para um restaurante chinês fazer uma "sessão/jantar" como aquela que participei antes da minha cerimônia de admissão, mas que não fiz parte dessa vez.

Na manhã seguinte tomamos café da manhã "em família" com o Si Gung, Si Fu, diversos Si Baaks, Si Soks, Si Hings, Si Jes, etc...

Em seguida fomos para o Mo Gun, onde o Si Gung faria uma palestra sobre a "feminilização da guerra", mas que também saiu do formato de palestra e se transformou, mais uma vez, em uma conversa dele conosco. Pudemos novamente vez compartilhar do conhecimento do Si Gung, voltando a discutir alguns pontos abordados no seminário e trazendo outros novos. Impressionante como os conceitos que discutimos antes vão fazendo cada vez mais sentido!
Then we went to Mo Gun, where Si Gung would do a lecture on the "feminization of war," but also left the lecture format and became, once again,a chat with us. Si Gung once again shared his knowledge, returning to discuss some points discussed at the seminar and bringing new ones. Impressive as the concepts that we discussed before are making more and more sense!

Enfim, foi um fim de semana intenso, um pouco cansativo também, mas muito importante pro meu caminho não somente no Ving Tsun, mas na minha vida em geral. Muitas informações, muitas ideias, muitas experiências que pretendo cada vez mais absorver e assimilar!
Anyway, it was an intense weekend, also a little tiring, but very important to my way not only in Ving Tsun, but in my life in general. Lots of information, many ideas, many experiences that I intend to increasingly absorb and assimilate!
