9 YEARS AS A DIRECTOR OF MYVT MEIER SCHOOL PART 2

Depois de três anos na sala da Rua Medina, primeiro endereço do Núcleo Méier, parecia que 2013 de fato era o ano em que nos deparamos com nossa primeira ladeira. Mas estávamos diante dela para subi-la e não para desce-la. Desta forma, um dos anos mais prósperos do Núcleo Méier em termos de qualidade humana, se encerrava com chave-de-ouro para mim, durante uma comemoração do meu aniversário muito especial em termos relacionais com a Família Kung Fu e com meu Si Fu.

After three years in the room of Medina Street, the first address of the MéierSchool,.It seemed that 2013 was indeed the year when we came across our first slope. But we were in front of it to climb it, not to descend it. In this way, one of the most prosperous years of the Méier School in terms of human quality, it ended with a golden key for me, during a celebration of my very special anniversary in terms related to the Kung Fu Family and Si Fu.

Eu e Si Fu viajamos juntos para São Paulo algumas vezes para estarmos com Si Gung, frequentava sua casa toda a Sexta a noite para a prática do "Baat Jaam Do" e conseguia também ter uma participação muito significativa nas atividades do Núcleo Barra.

Si Fu and I traveled together to Sao Paulo a few times to be with Si Gung, I went to his house every Friday night for the practice of "Baat Jaam Do" and managed to also have a very significant participation in the activities of the Barra School.

No Núcleo Méier, tínhamos já um grupo de praticantes muito apaixonados e entusiasmados. Mas sem dúvidas, dentre todos já se destacava André Guerra, hoje Diretor do Núcleo Barra.

At Méier School, we already had a group of enthusiastic  practitioners. But without a doubt, André Guerra, now Director of the Barra School, stood out among all of them.

Andre, que começara em 2012, passava basicamente as tardes e noites comigo, recebendo e trabalhando com cada praticante que chegava até o Núcleo Méier. Como naquele período, a faixa-etária dos alunos era muito baixa, a maioria das práticas eram relacionadas à horários escolares. Por isso, não foram poucas as vezes que passamos de três a quatro horas sozinhos no Mo Gun, vendo documentários, lendo documentos ou fazendo qualquer coisa que eu julgava poder contribuir de alguma forma para o desenvolvimento do André, já que ali, representava nosso Si Fu.

Andre, who started in 2012, spent basically the afternoons and nights with me, receiving and working with each practitioner who came to the Méier School. As at that time, the student's age range was very low, most of the practices were related to school schedules. So it was not often that we spent three to four hours alone in the Mo Gun watching documentaries, reading documents or doing anything that I thought could contribute in some way to André's development, since there I was representing our Si Fu .

Por essa conjuntura de dedicação por parte de André e pelo cenário que tentava oferecer, orientado por Si Fu. No meu aniversário de 2014 (Foto), quando figuras como Clayton Meireles(No canto direito) já davam seus primeiros passos na Família Kung Fu. André se tornara uma referência no Núcleo Méier.

Because of this juncture of Andre's dedication and Si Fu-oriented scenario on my 2014 birthday, when figures such as Clayton Meireles (In the right corner) were already taking their first steps in the Kung Fu Family, André had become a reference in the Méier School.

Em 2015, tivemos o inédito "Estudo de Combate". Esse estudo acontecia nos Núcleos Méier e Barra. Rodrigo Moreira, que entrara na Família um ano antes e também era membro do Núcleo Méier. Era o organizador.
Apesar dos "furos" na organização, mais uma vez o Núcleo Méier mostrava sua força com um time muito especial de mobilizadores: André, Fabiosa, Rodrigo Moreira, Clayton,  e muitos outros que faziam daquele lugar, uma fábrica de valores humanos que hoje assumem posições de liderança no Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou...

In 2015, we had the unprecedented "Combat Study". This study happened at Méier and Barra Schools. Rodrigo Moreira, who had joined the Family a year earlier, was the organizer. Despite the "holes" in the organization, once again the Méier School showed its strength with a very special team of mobilizers: André, Fabiosa, Rodrigo Moreira, Clayton, dear Erika Carvalho and many others who made of that place, a factory of valuable practitioners who now take leadership positions in the Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan ...

De maneira informal, mas sempre com muito carinho. Procurávamos organizar estudos, encontros e qualquer outra atividade, que viesse à agregar ainda mais conhecimento aos praticantes do Núcleo, como o "Estudo dos Kuen Kuit".

Informally, but always with a lot of heart. We sought to organize studies, meetings and any other activity that would add even more knowledge to the practitioners of the Meier school, such as the "Kuen Kuit Study".

Inspirado em eventos que tínhamos na Família Moy Jo Lei Ou no início dos anos 2000. Promovia encontros para falarmos de marcos da história do Ving Tsun ou de nossa Linhagem. Na foto acima por exemplo, nos reunimos por ocasião do aniversário do Patriarca Moy Yat numa manhã de Sábado.

Inspired by events we had in the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family  in the early 2000s. I held meetings to talk about milestones in the history of Ving Tsun or about our Lineage. In the photo above for example, we met on the occasion of the anniversary of Patriarch Moy Yat. To remember his stories.

Eu curtia todos estes momentos, mas o que me deixava mais feliz sem dúvidas, era a "Celebração dos Aniversariantes do mês". Pois em momentos assim, tínhamos a oportunidade de homenagear pessoas que se dedicavam de forma intensa e muitas vezes invisível no dia a dia do Mo Gun. Irmãos Kung Fu como Ailton Jordão, sempre faziam questão de preparar algo com muito amor. Essa, uma característica marcante dos membros naquela época. E talvez pelos laços que se fortaleciam em momentos assim, que meu irmão Kung Fu Roberto Viana, àquela altura praticante do Núcleo Méier, sempre elogiava o ambiente acolhedor que conseguimos criar.

I enjoyed all these moments, but what made me happier, without a doubt, was the "Birthday Celebration of the Month". Because of such times, we had the opportunity to honor people who dedicated themselves intensely and often invisible in the day to day of the Mo Gun. Kung Fu brothers like Ailton Jordao always made a point of preparing something with much love. This is a characteristic of him. And perhaps because of the bonds that strengthened in moments like this, that my Kung Fu brother Roberto Viana, at that time practicing Meier school, always praised the warm atmosphere that we were able to create.

Naquele mesmo ano de 2015, o Núcleo Méier entrou em sua primeira grande crise financeira. Para tentar recuperá-lo, a ajuda dos irmãos Kung Fu foi fundamental. Além disso, abri mão do meu outro trabalho para me dedicar integralmente. Daí, surgiu a ideia de criar um programa para o Youtube chamado "Cultura Kung Fu" que teve três temporadas e em breve terá uma quarta .
Para tal, as Quintas dormia no Mo Gun para fazer as edições de madrugada. Foram muitas às vezes que recebi o apoio dos irmãos Kung Fu nesse projeto, inclusive com a querida Erika Carvalho que quase sempre levava uma sopa para mim.

In that same year, the Méier School entered its first major financial crisis. In order to try to recover it, the help of the Kung Fu brothers was fundamental. In addition, I gave up my other job to dedicate myself fully, and from there came the idea of creating a YouTube program called "Kung Fu Culture" which had three seasons and will soon have a fourth.
For that, On Thursdays slept in the Mo Gun to make the editions at dawn. Many times I received the support of the Kung Fu brothers in this project, including the dear Erika Carvalho who almost always took a soup for me.

Quando o ano de 2015 encerrou-se, é verdade que eu ainda estava endividado até a testa(risos). Mas estava muito feliz também no momento do meu aniversário: Havia sido qualificado Mestre, estava noivo e minha relação com Si Fu estava num ótimo momento. Além disso, sentia muito amor de todos ao redor. Rostos de outras épocas e de novos praticantes se fizeram presentes.
Mas eu também não sabia, que tudo relacionado à direção iria mudar no ano seguinte, quando abriria minha Família Kung Fu... A Família Moy Fat Lei...

When the year 2015 ended, it's true that I was still indebted to the forehead (laughs). But I was very happy also at the time of my birthday: I had been qualified as a Master, I was engaged and my relationship with Si Fu was in a great moment. Plus, I felt so much love from everyone around. Faces of other times and new practitioners were present.
But I also did not know, that everything related to the direction of the school would change the following year when I would open my Kung Fu Family ... The Moy Fat Lei Family ...
