Estamos em alguma noite de Outubro de 1992. Eu tinha 8 anos de idade, e havia acabado de ganhar um boneco de policial rodoviário americano(foto) do meu tio, ao melhor estilo CHIPS com Erik Estrada e "Ponch" Poncherello. Mas pra variar o brinquedo precisava de "725 pilhas grandes", e isso me frustrou bastante. Naquela noite era o aniversário de 15 anos da minha prima Paula. Estava uma grande comoção na casa da minha avó paterna, e eu não entendia muito bem porque. Mas lembro de que enquanto brincava com a moto, perguntar a minha madrinha:

-Tia Lenilda, o que tem demais em fazer 15 anos?
-É que quando a menina faz 15 anos, ela já vira uma mocinha.

Bom, aquela explicação não me convenceu, e eu só podia pensar em uma coisa:


We are in some night of  October in 1992. I was 8 years old, and had just won a toy of U.S. Highway Patrolman (photo above) from my uncle. A toy in the style of CHIPS with Erik Estrada and "Ponch" Poncherello. But for once the toy needed "725 large batteries" and it frustrated me greatly. That night was the 15th birthday of my cousin Paula. It was a great commotion in the house of my paternal grandmother, and I do not quite understand why. But remember that while playing with the the CHIPS toy, ask my Godmother:

-Aunt Lenilda, whats about  15 years old?
-It's because when the girl turns 15 years old, she is no more a little girl.

Well, that explanation did not convince me, and I could only think of one thing:

Algum tipo de ritual de passagem. Talvez veria ao vivo alguém arrancar o coração dela como em Indiana Jones e o Templo da Perdição. Mas nada disso aconteceu... Apenas lembro de ficar lá sentado enquanto tocava "Wishing on a Star" das Cover Girls seguido de "Im gonna miss you" do Milli Vanilli, chateado por não poder brincar com minha moto, e sem perspectivas de conseguir todas as pilhas necessárias para fazê-la piscar e emitir sons no dia seguinte...  Em 1992, pilhas grandes eram muito caras...

Some kind of rite . Maybe someone would take her heart out like in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. But nothing like that happened ... Just remember to sit there listenning to "Wishing on a Star" by Cover Girls followed by "Im gonna miss you" bu Milli Vanilli, annoyed by not being able to play with my CHIPS Highway Patrolman toy, and having prospects of getting all the batteries necessary to make it flashing and beeping the next day ... In 1992, large batteries were too expensive in Brazil...

LUNCH WITH KUNG FU FAMILY FROM MEIER WILD NEIGHBORHOOD

Rodrigo Caputo começou no módulo "Siu Ye Kuen" com apenas 9 anos de idade. Quando ele iniciou sua prática, o Ving Tsun no bairro do Méier ainda funcionava dentro da escola de dança e yoga "Espaço Dharma". 

Rodrigo sempre demonstrou muito animo em todas as atividades, e sua pró-atividade, lhe rende hoje uma grande desenvoltura corporal  no Cham Kiu.

Rodrigo Caputo began in the module "Siu Ye Kuen"(for children) with only 9 years old. When he started his practice, Ving Tsun in the neighborhood of Meier still worked inside the school dance and yoga "Space Dharma".
Rodrigo always demonstrated great energy in all activities, and his pro-activity, today give to him a very resourcefulness body skill in Cham Kiu.

Nos reunimos no restaurante mais frequentado pela Família KF no Méier para celebrar o aniversário de Rodrigo. Esta foi uma iniciativa de seu Si Dai e grande amigo, Pedro Freire.

We meet at the restaurant most frequented by the Meier KF Family to celebrate the birthday of Rodrigo. This was an initiative of his Si Dai and great friend, Pedro Freire.

Foi possível ouvir do próprio Rodrigo sobre suas perspectivas de vida, agora que já é um veterano com 15 anos de idade. Todos se divertiram bastante.

We could listen to Rodrigo's own perspectives on his life now that he is a veteran with 15 years old. Everyone had fun.

Também foi uma oportunidade de conversarmos sobre vários temas. Inclusive, compartilhando histórias de quando tinhamos 15 anos... No meu caso, há 15 anos atrás... Danm!

It was also an opportunity to talk about various topics. Including sharing stories of when we were 15 years old... In my case, 15 years ago ... Danm!

Raphael(esquerda) irmão mais velho de Rodrigo, começou junto com ele aos 11 anos também no Siu Ye Kuen. Hoje Rapha , já praticante do Biu Ji, pôde dizer algumas palavras sobre e para o irmão mais novo. Foi um momento bem marcante.

(Meu adorável irmão KF Pedro Ivo me presenteia com um "mega-combo-não-saia-mais-de-casa" de 2 DVD´s e da primeira temporada do Macgyver...rs)

Tem uma música do AC/DC que eu gosto muito , e que no refrão diz: "Its a long way to the top if you wanna Rock 'n' Roll!" Nenhuma frase pode ser mais certa.
Por muitas vezes ouvi amigos próximos reclamarem que eu tinha sumido, que eu só queria saber de "Ip Man", "Kung Fu", "Si Fu" , etc...  Na verdade, não fazia o mínimo sentido para nenhum deles, quando chegávamos as 4 am de Sábado em casa, e as 6 am eu estava de pé indo pegar o carro pra tomar café com o Si Fu.  "Pra que isso?" era a pergunta que me faziam...
A janela da vida se fecha muito rápido. O tempo que você tem para "chegar até o topo" como diz a música é muito curto. Por isso, eu acho que precisamos estar ocupados em nossas vidas.
Eu li num livro uma vez que "Um homem dura uma vida, mas um nome dura pra sempre". Mas para um nome durar pra sempre, é preciso trabalho duro.
Você não pode querer apenas ganhar seu dinheiro no final do mês, e não fazer a diferença em seu trabalho. Se você por um instante, se apaixonar por aquilo que estiver fazendo, você vai poder contagiar todos a sua volta... 
Mas lembre-se de que não existe o emprego ideal! É importante que tudo tenha seus prós e contras... E cabe a você fazer bom uso disso.
Por isso são em momentos como esse, não por ganhar 2 dos meus filmes old-school de Ving Tsun favoritos e a temporada de Macgyver, mas pelo gesto e zelo de Pedro. Sei que todas as vezes em que dirigi em direção ao Mo Gun, mesmo com todo mundo falando que eu estava maluco por investir tanto nisso, valeram a pena...
Mas lembre-se sempre: "ITS A LONG WAY TO THE TOP IF YA WANNA ROCK 'N' ROLL!"

There's a song by AC / DC that I really like, and the chorus says: "Its a long way to the top if you wanna Rock 'n' Roll!" No sentence can be more true.
For many times, I heard from close friends claim that I was crazy, I only wanted to know about "Ip Man", "Kung Fu", "Si Fu", etc ... Actually, it was absolute nonsense for any of them, when we arrived at 4 pm at home on Saturday , and 6 am I was going to pick up the car to have breakfast with Si Fu. "What's that for?" was the question that the guys often made me ...
The window of life closes very fast. The time you have to "reach the top" as the song says is too short. So I think we need to be busy in our lives.
I read a book since that says "A man lasts a lifetime, but a man´s name lasts forever." But for a name last forever, it takes hard work.
You can not just want to earn your money at the end of the month, and not make a difference in your job. If you for a moment, fall in love with what you are doing, you will be able to infect everyone around ...
But remember that there is no perfect job! It is important that everything has its pros and cons ... And it is up to you to make good use of it.
So are at times like this, not by winning two of my favorite Ving Tsun movies and Macgyver first season, but the gesture and the zeal by Pedro. I know that every time I drove toward the Mo Gun, even with everyone saying I was crazy to invest so much on it, were worth ...

Si Fu esteve no Núcleo Méier, a fim de começar as chamadas "sessões master", nas quais, os praticantes tem a possibilidade de praticar diretamente com Si Fu de maneira muito mais aprofundada.

Si Fu was at Meier School for special classes with him. In those he is able to talk more deeply about the System levels.

Si Fu começou brincando com Ailton Jordão, perguntando o que estava escrito em chinês nos guardanapos emoldurados na parede , pendurados previamente por Cynthia Tong.

Si Fu started joking around with Ailton Jordao, about what was written in chinese in the napkins framed on the wall by Cynthia Tong sometime ago.

Si Fu sentou-se conosco para conversar um pouco. Falou sobre Kung Fu, sobre as sessões que começaria a dar no Méier e na Barra, e na importância de praticantes como Ailton que gostam tanto do Kung Fu, não abrirem mão de seus sonhos com relação a arte.

Si Fu spend some time with us to talk about the importance of not quit our dreams, like in the case of Ailton, to keep moving foward. Also, he talked about the special classes and Kung Fu in general.

Estávamos todos reunidos e eu particularmente estava muito feliz de poder contar com a presença de Si Fu.

We were together and I was very happy to count with Si Fu there.

ANIVERSÁRIO DA PROF LILY(PROF LILY'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION)

 

Naquele dia  quando ouvi uma história sobre Si Taai Gung Moy Yat e Ip Man, fantasiei sobre o quão legal deveria ter sido aquela época. Mas até uns 10 anos atrás, toda e qualquer oportunidade que tive de vivenciar um momento entre "Si Fu e To Dai", eu desperdicei.

Eu me convencia de que estava dentro, mas eu desistia muito facilmente. Um futebol era mais importante, um bate-papo de esquina era mais importante, tudo parecia mais importante do que o que eu havia me comprometido em fazer que era praticar Ving Tsun...

Então percebi, que isso não se aplicava somente ao Ving Tsun. Mesmo para uma prova de escola, qualquer programa de TV era mais importante do que estudar, dormir era mais valioso para mim do que minha nota 10... 

Hoje eu consigo entender um pouco, que o Kung Fu é muito vivo. Você constrói uma história incrível a cada oportunidade que você pesca. E que independente de ser relacionado ao Ving Tsun ou não, o seu objetivo vai cobrar um preço. Talvez deixar de ver um amigo ou dois, talvez dormir um pouco menos, talvez gastar um pouco mais... Mas aí é com você. Até onde vai o seu comprometimento consigo mesmo, e com o que você se propor a fazer...

That day when I heard a story about  Si Taai Gung Moy Yat and Ip Man,I  fantasized about how cool it would have been then. But until about 10 years ago, every opportunity I had to experience a moment between "Si Fu and To Dai", I wasted.
I convinced myself that I was in, but I gave up too easily. A football with friends was more important, a chat on street was more important, everything seemed more important than what I had committed to doing what was practicing Ving Tsun ...
Then I realized that it did not apply only to the Ving Tsun. Even for a school test, any TV program was more important than studying, sleeping was more valuable to me than my "A" ...
Today I can understand a little, that Kung Fu is very much alive. You can build an amazing story every chance you see. And that regardless of being related to Ving Tsun or not, your goal will cost a price. Maybe  to not see a friend or two, maybe sleep a little less, maybe spend a little more money ... But that's with you. How far will your commitment to yourself, and what you propose ...

Há dois anos atrás, a professora recebeu a Família Kung Fu para um almoço de celebração de seu aniversário. Estavam presentes membros como Si Sok Úrsula(líder da Família Moy Lin Mah e diretora do Núcleo Copacabana), seu marido, Ricardo Lopes, e sua filha Rebeka. E Claudio Pamplona, discípulo de Si Fu Julio Camacho assim como eu, também marcou presença...

 

 Two years ago, Mrs Lily welcomed the KF Family for a lunch celebration of her birthday. Members were present as Si Sok Ursula (leader of  Moy Lin Mah Family and director of the MYVT Copacabana), her husband, Ricardo Lopes, and her daughter Rebeka. And Claudio Pamplona, disciple of  Si Fu Julio Camacho as I also attended ...

 

 

Tudo parecia perfeito naquele dia, inclusive pelo fato do tempo estar frio, o que me permitiu usar meu recém comprado casaco igual ao do filme "Top Gun - Ases Indomáveis"(foto)...

Everything seemed fine that day. Even the weather was cold. So I could use my Top Gun look-alike jacket for the very first time(photo)

Hoje, eu não tinha dormido trabalhando de madrugada. Também tinha combinado de rever um amigo de infância que não vejo há anos, e hoje nossas agendas coincidiam. Mas deixei tudo isso de lado, pois foquei no meu grande objetivo, e pude experimentar um almoço muito marcante, na companhia de meu irmão Kung Fu Ailton Jordão , ao lado de Si Fu, numa mesa que contava apenas com Si Fu de estilos diferentes, como Garra de Águia e Tai Chi.


Today, I had not slept  working. Also had agreed to meet a childhood friend I have not seen for years, and today our schedules coincided. But I left it , becabehind because I focused on my ultimate goal, and I experienced a lunch very striking, in the company of my Kung Fu bro Ailton Jordao alongside Si Fu, a table that had only Si Fu  from diferente styles, as Eagle Claw and Tai Chi.


A cena abaixo, ilustra de certa forma a experiência que vivi hoje junto de Ailton. Ela é da novela "Wing Chun"(2007), a qual eu já citei aqui. Nesta cena de 37 seg, durante um encontro do "Mo Lam" de Faat Saan . Leung Jaan, Si Gung de Ip Man em nossa Genealogia, é convidado durante o almoço, para falar sobre a Ética empregada nas artes marciais.

The scene below illustrates somehow the experience I had today along with Ailton. It is the TV Series "Wing Chun" (2007), which I have quoted here. In this scene of 37 sec, during a meeting of the "Mo Lam" of Faat Saan. Leung Jaan, Si Gung of  Ip Man in our genealogy, was invited for lunch to talk about the ethics employed in martial arts.

 

 

 

 Em primeiro pessoa, pude presenciar o trato dos Si Fu um com os outros. O respeito, as perguntas as vezes pensadas, as vezes não.As coisas que passavam desapercebidas por uns e muito bem percebidas por outros. A diferença entre a nossa mesa e a do fundo, e muito mais, estavam ali diante dos meus olhos.

Quando saímos do restaurante e pude conversar com Si Fu por vários minutos perto de seu carro sobre tudo que tinha se passado, incluindo minha própria atuação. Foi tudo muito rico desde que saí de casa.
 Ao me despedir , fui caminhando até o meu próprio carro bem feliz com mais um dia especial..

In first person, I witnessed the treatment of Si Fu with each other. Respect, questions sometimes thoughtful, sometimes not  The things that went unnoticed by some and very well perceived by others. The difference between our table and the background, and more, were there before my eyes.

When we left the restaurant and was able to talk with Si Fu for several minutes near his car about everything that had happened, including my own performance. It was all very rich since I left home.
  When we said goodbye, I walked up to my own car , very happy with another special day ..

A MATTER OF FATHER AND SON

Você me escuta falar muito do meu avô aqui no Blog. Mas hoje eu queria falar do meu pai. Nunca nos damos muito bem, até pouco tempo. E também há pouco tempo, tive uma grande experiência com ele...

Meu pai tinha acabado de assinar o contrato do aluguel do Núcleo Méier. Era Abril de 2011 e ele seria meu fiador. Meu pai tinha certeza absoluta de que eu não seria capaz de pagar o aluguel. Entre o ato de ler o contrato e assinar, meu pai fez inúmeras insinuações. Como para mim naquele momento, não era mais a respeito de nós dois, e sim de levar um Mo Gun de Ving Tsun ao Méier, eu me segurei e não respondi nenhuma vez. 

Quando já não restava o que dizer, e estavamos prontos para ir ao cartório, meu pai me parou na cozinha e disse sério: "Thiago, escuta seu pai rapá. 'Cê vai viver de Kung Fu? Quanto dinheiro você vai tirar disso? Eu sei que você gosta desse negócio, mas arruma um trabalho normal. Faz um concurso, e aí faz esse negócio de hobby." - Com meu silêncio, meu pai completou já mais nervoso: "Ó, eu não vou pagar aluguel pra você nem nada não hein! Você vai resolver sozinho."

Estamos há 2 anos e meio no Núcleo Méier. Houveram meses em que não dava pra ver um filme que eu queria, houveram meses que não dava pra comprar um móvel que eu queria pra casa, minha reforma foi adiada por um ano... Mas eu nunca deixei de pagar um mês do aluguel.

Eu estava saindo pra ir pro Méier da casa da minha mãe, e meu pai fez sinal para eu parar o carro. Ele estava com um rapaz do seu condomínio. Pediu pra eu abrir a janela e perguntou:

-Thiago! Fala pra ele do que é sua academia!

-Ving Tsun.

-Huh? Não era Kung Fu?

-É,é....

Meu pai virou pro cara e disse: "O Thiago tem uma academia no Méier. E acho que ele dá aula na Barra também..."

-Né Thiago?  - perguntou meu pai com um grande sorriso.

-É isso aí.

Meu pai disse aquilo com grande entusiasmo, bem diferente de dois anos antes. 
E sabe, quando você escuta que a sua decisão não poderia ser pior, do cara que te manteve vivo até ali, é pra desanimar qualquer um. Mas por favor me escute se der: 

You hear me talk a lot here about my grandfather  in this Blog. But today I wanted to talk about my father. Never get along very well with him until recently. And recently, I had a great experience with him ...
My father had just signed the contract of rent of the MYVT Meier School room. It was April 2011 and he would be my surety. My father was sure that I would not be able to pay the rent. You gonna live fromKung Fu? How much money will you take from it? II know you like this thing, but get a normal job! Make a public exam, and take this thing as a hobby. " - With my silence, my father  completed more nervous, "Oh, I'm not going to pay rent or anything for you boy! You will take it by yourself! You will solve alone."

We are 2 and a half years at Meier wild neighborhood. There were months where I could not see a movie I wanted, there were months I could not buy a furniture that I wanted for my home, my home´s construction was postponed for a year ... But I have never failed to pay a month of rent.

I was leaving to go to Meier neighborhood from my mother's house, and my father made a signal for me to stop the car. He was with a boy who is his neighboor. Dad Asked me to open the window and asked:
-Thiago! Tell him what do tou practice at your gym!
-Ving Tsun.
-Huh? There was not Kung Fu?
-Yeah, it is ....
My father turned to the guy and said: "Thiago has an gym in Meier. And I think he also teaches at Barra ..."
-Right Thiago? - My father asked with a big smile.
-That's it.
My father said it with great enthusiasm. And you know, when you hear that your decision could not be worse, from the guy who kept you alive until there, is to discourage for anyone. But please listen to me if you can:

Não importa quem seja, não dê ouvidos. O seu sonho , ele não pode ser tão fraco para morrer desse jeito.

Talvez, você que esteja lendo, já tenha vivido uma situação onde você tem que escolher entre o "certo e o duvidoso". O "certo" é o "confortável". É a situação que não lhe traz riscos, e você não quer abrir mão dela. Mas sabe o que acontece? Quando você está sozinho consigo mesmo, vem um sentimento lá de longe, que te deixa incomodado. Você começa a se perguntar se era ali mesmo que deveria estar. Você fantasia com o que realmente queria que acontecesse. Você viaja até o futuro que queria viver, mas não tem coragem de estar lá em carne e osso, porque quando volta pro presente você já desistiu.

No matter who it is, do not listen! Your dream, can not be so weak to die that way.

Perhaps, you who are reading, has already lived a situation where you have to choose between "right and doubtful." The "right" is "comfortable". It is a situation that does not bring risks, and you do not want to give it up. But you know what happens? When you are alone with yourself, there comes a feeling from deep inside , that makes you uncomfortable. You begin to wonder if this place that you are, was even supposed to be the right one. You fantasize about what you really wanted it to happen. You travel to the future that you wanted to live, but you have no courage to be there for real, because when you come back to the present you has already give up.

Então quando em 2002 o Si Fu em seu escritório disse pra mim:

"Thiago, ninguém gosta de estar numa situação desconfortável, a primeira coisa que a pessoa quer fazer é desistir. E eu vou te falar: Desistir traz mesmo um certo alívio. Mas sabe... Quando você vai até o final. Quando você luta até o final da guerra, você sente uma coisa completamente diferente. Porque perdendo ou ganhando, você foi até o final...'Cê sabe qual é a diferença entre o teimoso e o persistente né?" - Fiz que não com a cabeça já com os olhos marejados e o Si Fu disse: "O teimoso para na metade, o persistente vai até o final."

So when in 2002  Si Fu in his office told me:

"Thiago, nobody likes to be in an uncomfortable position, the first thing one wants to do is give up. And I'll tell you: Giving up,  even brings some relief. But you know ... When you go untill the end. When you fight until the end of the war, you feel a completely different thing. because winning or losing, you went untill the end ... Ya know what is the difference between the stubborn and the persistent right? "- I shook my head in negative already teary-eyed and Si Fu said: "The stubborn stops in the middle the persistent go untill to the end."

Por isso, se hoje eu e meu pai somos amigos, foi graças a força que o Si Fu me ensinou a ter.
Não a de bater em alguém , somente, mas a de focar no que é importante e lutar por isso assumindo os riscos.
Uma pena mesmo, que você só possa conhecer o trabalho que o Si Fu realiza nos ultimos 20 anos através de mim. Por isso, convido você a assistir o video abaixo, e na próxima postagem, acompanhar a homenagem que foi feita a ele por ocasião dos seus 10 anos de Família Kung Fu.

Você se lembra do que estava fazendo em 2003? Eu lembro. De muitas coisas: boas e ruins também. 

Era meu primeiro ano na faculdade. E de tudo que decorreu depois disso, posso dizer que minha maior conquista naqueles anos que passei lá, foram esses 3 amigos que conservo até hoje. 

E pensando bem nos 10 anos que se passaram, existem muitas coisas que gostaria de consertar. Principalmente em 2003. Se decisões erradas matassem eu teria morrido muitas vezes só naquele ano. Mas não podemos voltar no tempo. Então se você apenas se esforçar com afinco a partir de agora, poderá seguir em frente. Mesmo que você esteja caído, e só puder se arrastar, arraste-se para a frente.

Você só tem uma vida, e não precisa necessariamente seguir o caminho mais árduo. Você pode viver e morrer como quiser. Mas independente do caminho que escolha, lembre-se sempre de proteger os seus sonhos. Porque...Como li certa vez: Você nunca vai saber porque dedicou tanto de sua vida a um sonho, até o dia em que este sonho salvar a sua vida.


Do you remember what you were doing in 2003? I remember. Many things: good and bad too.
It was my first year in college. And from all that took place after that, I can say that my greatest achievement in those years I spent there were these three friends who are my friends 'till today.

And thinking about those 10 years, there are many things I'd like to fix. Particularly in 2003. If wrong decisions kill, I would have died many times that year. But we can not go back in time. THE FORTY CEREMONY TRADITIONAL CEREMONY BY MJLO FAMILY AND ITS 10 YEARS OF EXISTENCE!

(PART 1)

Estamos em 2003! O Brasil tinha acabado de ser penta-campeão, aparelhos de MP3 no Brasil para muitos ainda funcionavam através de bruxaria, e para os que usavam Walkman como eu,uma das músicas que mais tocavam na rádio e também a minha preferida era "What´s luv" do Fat Joe e da Ashanti.

Enquanto isso, no dia 15 de Março deste ano, Si Fu era titulado Mestre Qualificado da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. Na verdade, ele fez parte do primeiro grupo de praticantes a serem qualificados por esta organização no Brasil.


We are in 2003! Brazil National Team had just been penta-champion in soccer, MP3 players in Brazil for many still working through sorcery, and for those who uses Walkman like me in this year, one of the most played songs on radio and also my favorite was "What's luv "Fat Joe and Ashanti.

Meanwhile, on March 15 this year, Fu was titled Qualified Master of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. In fact, he was part of the first group of practitioners to be qualified by this organization in Brazil.

No dia 18 de Março daquele ano, Si Fu pendurava o Jiu Paai no local reservado aos ancestrais do lendário Núcleo Jacarepaguá. Esta é a placa que simboliza sua autorização a liderar uma Família Kung Fu entregue por Si gung 3 dias antes.

On March,18. Si Fu of that year, Si Fu hung the Jiu paai on a spot reserved for the legendary ancestors of the old and legendary Jacarepagua MYVT School . This is the sign that symbolizes your permission to lead a  Kung Fu Family .

No dia 15 de Maio de 2003, a filha mais velha de Si Fu, Jade Camacho, naquela época ainda filha única, posou para sua primeira foto oficial "Si Fu- To Dai".

On May,15 Si Fu´s older daughter posed with him for her first Si Fu-To Dai´s photo.

Finalmente, ainda no mês de Maio, a primeira Cerimônia da Familia Moy Jo Lei Ou acontecia a fim de Si Fu poder admitir seus primeiros membros. Na ocasião, Si Sok Ursula explicou aos presentes sobre o que significava aquela Cerimônia.

Finally,  in May, the first ceremony of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family happened for Si Fu  admit its first members. On occasion, Si Sok explained to those present about what that meant the Ceremony.

O querido Si Sok André fez a abertura oficial da Cerimônia enquanto membro mais antigo presente.

10 anos depois...
10 years later...

Estamos em 2013! Todos duvidam de que o Brasil possa ser campeão da próxima Copa. Poucos no Brasil ainda usam MP3 para ouvir músicas, e para os que ainda usam como eu, não tem bem a mais tocada, mas costumo agora escutar soundtracks em geral..rs

Enquanto isso, tivemos a Quadragésima Cerimônia Tradicional da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou. E eu tive a honra de explicar sobre o significado de uma Cerimônia como essa, assim como Si Sok Ursula fez na primeira há 10 anos...


We are in 2013! All doubt that Brazil may be the next Champion of the World Soccer Cup. Few in Brazil still use MP3 to listen to music, and for those who still use as I do ,there is no more the most played song, but now I usually listen to soundtracks in general .. hehe

Meanwhile, we had the Forty Ceremony of MJLO Family. And I had the honor of explaining the meaning of a ceremony like this, as well as Si Sok Ursula did in the first 10 years later ...

Si Fu já com cabelos brancos, comentou exatamente sobre este aspecto. 10 anos de história. Uma data redonda e significativa. Sem que esqueçamos que sua carreira como profissional começou em 1995.
Naquela noite, Si Fu ainda lesionado, foi de muletas, e deu pra sentir todo o esforço que estava fazendo.


Si Fu now with white hair, just commented on this aspect of 10 years of history. A round  and meaningful date. Not to forget that his professional career began in 1995.
That night, Si Fu still injured, was on crutches, and has to feel all the effort he was making.

Si Sok Ursula e Felipe, hoje já Mestres Qualificados, foram as testemunhas honoráveis desta celebração.

O primeiro a ser admitido na Família Kung Fu naquela noite foi Alexandre Ribeiro. Alexandre foi apresentado por Pedro Freire. Os dois são membros do Núcleo Méier. E para mim particulamente, foi muito feliz saber que seria Pedro a apresentar o Alexandre. Demarcando assim, uma nova geração de membros importantes na Família.

The first to be admitted to the  Kung Fu Family tonight was Alexandre Ribeiro. Alexandre was presented by Pedro Freire. Both are members of the MYVT Meier wild School. And Particularly for me, was very happy to know that Pedro would be the introducer for Alexandre. Demarcating thus a new generation of important members in the Family.

O segundo foi Pedro Ivo, apresentado pelo Mestre Felipe Soares. Pedro é fã de Sammo Hung e um dos caras mais amigáveis que conheci nos últimos tempos.
Pedro com seu entusiasmo deixou todos felizes ao ser admitido.


The second was Pedro Ivo, presented by Master Felipe Soares. Pedro is a fan of Sammo Hung and one of the friendliest guys I've met in recent times.

Gabriel Faria, foi outro irmão KF que ganhamos naquela noite. Estudante de psicologia, conheceu o Ving Tsun através de Pedro Correa. Gabriel pratica no Núcleo Méier, e Si Fu fez questão de frisar seu desejo de se aproximar cada vez mais de Gabriel a partir dali.

Gabriel Faria was another KF brother who we won that night. Psychology student, met Ving Tsun trough Pedro Correa(photo). Gabriel practice at the MYVT Meier School, and Si Fu was keen to let out his desire to approach Gabriel more Gabriel from there.

Curiosamente, 5 anos antes, Pedro Correa era apresentado a Família Kung Fu na primeira Cerimônia realizada no bairro do Méier. Na qual Lucky, que se tornou discípulo mais tarde, também foi admitido.

Pedro Correa(Gabriel´s college friend and introducer) also made his Ceremony five years ago. The first Ceremony in Meier wild neighborhood. Lucky, who became a disciple later, was there too.

 Então Guilherme Farias apresentou a Família e a Si Fu, Flilpe Sugaya. Sugaya se interessou por Ving Tsun, graças a seu amigo Luan Scliar. E comparou o Ving Tsun com matemática do Ensino Médio:
"...Você fica lá fazendo aquelas coisas, sem entender como você vai usar aquilo. E lá na frente você vê que era importante..."


So Guilherme Farias presented to  the Family and Si Fu, Flilpe Sugaya. Sugaya was interested in Ving Tsun, thanks to his friend Luan Scliar. And he compared Ving Tsun with Math from Middle School:
"... You stand there doing those things without understanding how you will use it. And when you get in the future, you see that it was important ..."

Apresentei a todos em seguida, Pedro Silva. Pedro chegou ao Méier com seu primo, e se identificou bastante com o Ving Tsun. Pedro é muito dedicado nas sessões e sempre tem um posicionamento exemplar. Com certeza um grande reforço para a Família.

I introduced to all then Pedro Silva. Another guy named Pedro(lol) and another student from MYVT  Meier , he identified himself a lot with Ving Tsun. Pedro is very dedicated in his sessions and always has an exemplary positioning. Surely a great enhancement for the Family.

Leticia Ghenov, foi trazida ao Ving Tsun pelos seus pais , os ex-praticantes Ariane Gumarães e Thiago Ribeiro.

Guilherme a apresentou e Leticia surpreendeu a todos quando disse que seu desejo no Ving Tsun é se tornar uma Si Fu.

Quando conheci Luan Scliar não pude deixar de notar sua tatuagem do Fullmetal Alchemist em seu braço.
Com o passar do tempo, fui percebendo em Luan sua dedicação em não reclamar do que era aprendido, mas sempre tentando entender de alguma maneira o que havia por detrás de cada exercício.
Guilherme o apresentou a Família.



When I met Luan Scliar I  notice his tattoo  of Fullmetal Alchemist on his arm.
Over time, I realized Luan in his dedication to not complain about what was learned, but always trying to understand in some way what was behind each exercise.

Maria Alice, Pedro Henrique e Ana Luiza são filhos de Claudio Teixeira. os 3 começaram na Família bem cedo, e Claudio desta vez, os apresentou formalmente ao serem admitidos na Família Kung Fu.
Pela localidade de sua residência, os 3 praticam no Núcleo Copacabana. Com certeza, com a inteligência dos 3 , a Família vai ganhar muito num futuro breve com estas admissões.


Mary Alice, Pedro Henrique and Ana Luiza are children of Claudio Teixeira. the 3 began early in the Family, and Claudio this time, presented formally the 3 kids to be admitted to the Kung Fu Family.
For the location of their residence, the three practice in MYVT Copacabana School. Surely, with the intelligence of 3, the Family will gain much in the near future with these admissions.

Pedro Freire, não só apresentou Alexandre naquela noite. Ele também foi promovido formalmente ao Domínio Cham Kiu do Sistema Ving Tsun.

André Almeida, com todos os méritos assim como Pedro Freire, também foi promovido formalmente ao Domínio Cham Kiu. O segundo no sistema.

As Pedro Freire, Andre' Almeida also was promoted to Cham Kiu, the second level of Ving Tsun.

ESQUEÇA O "PLANO B"!!

FORGET THE "B PLAN"!

Aposto que você gostou de saber que a Família KF tem 10 anos de existência não é? Então tenho um pedido para fazer a vocês: ESQUEÇAM O “PLANO B”. Lembre-se: Todos os “PLANOS B” que você fez em sua vida, eram apenas distrações para seu grande “PLANO A”.

Você nunca se pegou sonhando em ir tão longe quanto a lua, mas de repente pensava no Plano B? “Bom, se não der certo eu faço um concurso de nível médio”.  

Você realmente acha, que em 1995 , quando Si Fu começou profissionalmente, existia uma grande quantidade de pessoas desejando ser profisisonais e viverem do Kung Fu? Não!

Você tem que acreditar o tempo todo no quanto você é fenomenal! Não se engane: Você vai chorar, você vai cair! Mais enquanto você conseguir olhar pra frente, você também será capaz de levantar e proteger o seu sonho.

E sabe por que? Porque apenas você escreve do jeito que você escreve, somente você canta do jeito que você canta, somente você fala do jeito que você fala, e somente você pratica Ving Tsun do jeito que você pratica.

Todos nós somos tão diferentes, que é por isso que cada um de nós temos nossas próprias grandes chances! 

Acredite, e crie seu ciclo de 10 anos de um sonho que você tenha! Transforme ele em realidade agora, e daqui a 10 anos, celebre isso!! 

E me conte depois, quem sabe eu posto no Blog!

I bet you like to know that the KF Family  has 10 years of existence RIGHT? So I have a request to make to you: FORGET THE "PLAN B". Remember: All "PLAN B" that you made in your life, were just distractions for your big "PLAN A".

Have you ever picked up yourself dreaming of going as far as the moon, but suddenly thought of Plan B? "Well, if it does not work I do a common work"?

Do you really think that in 1995, when Si Fu began professionally, there was a lot of people wanting to be profisisonais and live by Kung Fu in Brazil dude? No!

You have to believe all the time how much you are phenomenal! Make no mistake about this: You will cry, you will fall! But if you keep looking foward, you will also be able to raise and protect your dream.

And you know why? Just because only you write the way you write, only you sing the way you sing,  only you talk the way you talk, and only you practice Ving Tsun the way you practice.

We are all so different, which is why each of us have our own big chance!
