Quando nascemos,algo mágico acontece: Percebemos que estamos com fome,e ao chorarmos,de forma mágica uma mama se materializa em nossa frente com todo o leite que necessitamos. Percebemos de alguma maneira, que qualquer coisa que quisermos , pode ser conseguida apenas chorando. Porém, algum tempo se passa, e quando estamos num shopping numa tarde de Sábado com nossos pais, mesmo se chorarmos , o brinquedo que desejávamos na maioria das famílias, não vai surgir em nossas mãos. Mas não desistimos de chorar. Acontece que conforme vamos crescendo, pensamos que "chorar" já não fica tão bem. Então trocamos o choro por chantagens e outros estratagemas que no final do dia, criam uma conexão perfeita com aquele nosso primeiro choro que nos rendeu o alimento. 
Não tomamos consciência do quanto gostamos de "colo", do quanto celebramos o fracasso até que alguém nos ampare. E ainda assim, temos a coragem de dizer: "Eu gosto de lutar"...

When we are born, something magical happens: We realize that we are hungry, and when we cry, magically a breast materializes in front of us with all the milk we need. We realize in some way that anything we want can be achieved by just crying. However, some time passes, and when we are in a mall on a Saturday afternoon with our parents, even if we cry, the toy we wanted in most families, will not come into our hands. But we did not stop crying. It turns out that as we grow, we think that "crying" does not look so good anymore. Si Fu diz que a prática da arte marcial, segundo a lógica chinesa, é a única expressão artística  que é una ao artista. Mesmo o ator interpreta uma personagem , mas não o artista marcial. O pintor, pinta o quadro , o calígrafo faz a caligrafia, mas o artista marcial, expressa sua arte não quando faz "Taan Sau", mas sim, a cada movimento, a cada fala, a cada palavra, a cada atitude. Toda a sua conduta, é uma expressão de sua própria arte.  E essa conduta, também se revela em momentos de adversidade, ou por que não, em momentos de derrota ou fracasso.

Si Fu says that the practice of martial arts, according to Chinese logic, is the only artistic expression that is one to the artist. Even the actor plays a character, but not the martial artist. The painter paints the picture, the calligrapher does the calligraphy, but the martial artist expresses his art not when he does "Taan Sau", but with every movement, every speech, every word, every attitude. Todos vão se lembrar da antológica cena do filme "O Grande Mestre"(Ip man, 2008) na qual ele enfrenta dez karatekas. Muitas pessoas já me perguntaram se isso realmente aconteceu. O que pouca gente repara, é que logo depois dessa cena Ip Man volta caminhando com as mãos machucadas para casa perdido em pensamentos, e um caminhão do exército japonês quase o atropela. Ip Man percebe com atraso e leva um susto. Aquele era o mesmo homem que acabara de derrotar dez karatekas. Essa é a cena completa: A de Ip Man imbatível e a de Ip Man que se assusta, que deixa o ser humano transbordar sobre o Mestre. Como Si Fu diz, existe uma hora para descansar e uma hora para lutar. - "Quando for pra lutar Thiago, luta, mas luta de verdade!" - Disse ele certa vez.

Everyone will remember the anthological scene from the movie "Ip man", 2008 in which he faces ten karatekas. Many people have already asked me if this really happened. What few people notice is that soon after this scene Ip Man walks back with his injured hands to his house lost in thoughts, and a Japanese army truck almost runs over him. Ip Man realizes late and takes a fright. This was the same man who had just defeated ten karatekas. This is the complete scene: Ip Man's unbeatable and Ip Man's that frightens, which lets the human being overflow over the Master. As Si Fu says, there is an hour to rest and an hour to fight. - "When you have to fight Thiago, fight, but fight for real!" - He said once.

Tivemos uma reunião histórica no Núcleo Méier , na qual comuniquei algumas mudanças consideráveis na trajetória de nossa Família. Percebi alguns olhares assustados, outros emocionados e alguns outros admirados, isso sem contar os perdidos. Você podia me ver falando: "Ei! Estamos passando por um momento desafiador" - Mas eu não estava triste.

We had a historic meeting at the Méier School, in which I communicated some considerable changes in the trajectory of our Family. I noticed some startled looks, some excited and some admired, not counting the lost ones. You could see me saying, "Hey, we're going through a challenging time." - But I was not sad.

Lembrava de estar sentado no lugar deles em Outubro de 2012, ouvindo de Si Fu palavras parecidas. Não tinha dúvidas de que sairíamos daquela, e não tive dúvidas ao estar do outro lado também. Si Fu costuma falar sobre explorarmos os limites ao praticarmos. Não o limite do filme, do suor e da superação... Esse eu prefiro deixar no filme. Ele fala sobre um sentido mais profundo das artes marciais , no qual ao estendermos para a nossa vida diária, podemos nos perguntar: "Ei , qual o limite da minha fome? Qual o limite do meu sono? Qual o limite do meu cansaço? Quão ferrado eu preciso estar para me desesperar?"

I remembered sitting in their shoes in October 2012, hearing from Si Fu similar words. Recentemente comentei com Si Fu: "...Sinto como se tivesse fracassado..." - Si Fu prontamente respondeu: "Não é 'como se' . Você fracassou."
Si Fu parece ter o dom de desconstruir meu pensamento , então você me via ali meio sem palavras pelo que ele acabara de dizer.: "Você fracassou Thiago. E eu também já fracassei, você estava lá, você viu, eu toquei o fundo." - Prosseguiu ele. - "Bem-vindo ao clube". - Concluiu ele.
Fui pego de surpresa numa tarde, com uma foto que Si Fu enviou fazendo a guarda para um boneco de cera do Rocky Balboa (foto acima). Si Fu escreveu: "Nunca baixe a guarde Thiago. Nem seus heróis devem fazer isso."

I recently commented with Si Fu: "... I feel like I have failed ..." - Si Fu promptly replied: "It is not 'as if.You really  failed."
Si Fu seems to have the gift of deconstructing my thoughts, then you would see me there without words for what he had just said: "You failed Thiago. And I also failed, you were there, you saw, I touched the bottom. " He continued. - "Welcome to the club". He concluded.
I was taken by surprise one afternoon, with a photo that Si Fu sent doing the Ving Tsun guard position for a Rocky Balboa wax doll (photo above). Si Fu wrote: "Never take down your guard Thiago, nor your heroes should do this."

Si Fu sabe do quanto gosto do Rocky, e comentou sobre a cena na qual Rocky toma a decisão de enfrentar o Ivan Drago em Rocky IV e tem um diálogo emocionante com sua esposa. Só eu sei o quanto Si Fu não tem paciência para esse tipo de filme. Então , vê-lo tomar um tempo para falar dele, foi uma grande coisa para mim.
O Diálogo era:

Si Fu knows how much I love Rocky movies,so he commented on  a "Rocky IV" scene, when Rocky takes a decision to battle Ivan Drago, and has an exciting dialogue with his wife. I know what Si Fu has no  patience for this kind of movie. So seeing him taking a time to talk about it, it was a great thing for me.

The Dialogue was:

Adrian: Rocky, dê um tempo com isso. Não faça isso, muitas pessoas convivem com a dor.
Rocky: Muitas pessoas não tem escolha Adrian, eu tenho.
Adrian: E por causa disso você está disposto a perder tudo?
Rocky: Adrian, isso aqui não é tudo. A casa, os carros, e tudo o que tempos. Isso não é tudo. Existe muito mais além disso Adrian.
Adrian: Antes, existiam motivos para lutar que eu entendia, mas agora eu não entendo. Mesmo que você ganhe, o que você ganhará? Apollo ainda estará morto. Por que você não muda seu pensamento como todo mundo faz?
Rocky: Porque eu sou um lutador! É assim que eu sou, Adrian. É com isso que você casou. Nós não podemos mudar quem somos.


Adrian: Rocky, give it some time. Don't do this a lot of people live with hurt.
Rocky: A lot of people don't have a choice, Adrian, I do.
Adrian: And for that you're willing to lose everything?
Rocky: Adrian this isn't everything. The house, the cars and everything we got. That ain't everything. There's a lot more than this, Adrian.
Adrian: Before there were reasons to fight I could understand but I don't understand this. Even if you win what have you won, Apollo's still gone. Why can't you change your thinking everybody else does?
Rocky: Cause I'm a fighter! That's how I'm made, Adrian. That's what you married. We can't change what we are.

"Ver isso no filme, deitado no sofá é fácil. Viver isso, é mais difícil. Mas você é um guerreiro Thiago, não pode esquecer disso." - Disse Si Fu se referindo ao filme "Rocky IV".
E desse momento aparentemente tão adverso, surgiram mais dois profissionais em nosso Clã e um novo Núcleo vindo por aí em Maio graças a uma sugestão minha. E talvez esse seja um dos maiores valores de Si Fu: Não sentar no meio-fio e ficar chorando, mas aprender com qualquer coisa que aconteça. Tirar benefício do acontecimento para si , aprender com ele, e se possível, gerar benefício para o todo.

And from this seemingly adverse moment, two more professionals emerged in our Clan and a new School came around in May thanks to a suggestion from me. And maybe this is one of Si Fu's greatest values: Do not sit on the curb and cry, but learn from anything that happens. Take advantage of the event for yourself, learn from it, and if possible, generate benefit for the whole.

"... O Rocky no fundo Thiago, é um grande perdedor. Mas sabe qual a principal característica dele? Ele sempre levanta. No mundo do Rocky, quem você seria? O Rocky, ou aquele figurante que fica dando soquinho lá no fundo e só aparece uma vez porque cai e não levanta mais? ..." - Me perguntou por último Si Fu.

How to get back to the Kung Fu Family.

Quando se acessa o Sistema Tradicional no Grande Clã Moy Yat Sang, o praticante é admitido antes em uma Família Kung Fu. É necessário que a pessoa faça parte de uma Família Kung Fu, para que possa ter acesso ao Sistema Ving Tsun e os conhecimentos que o Líder desta Família resolver compartilhar.
Para fazer parte de uma Família Kung Fu, é necessário que a pessoa seja indicada por um outro membro da Família ou que seja convidado pelo próprio Líder desta. Para que esta admissão seja formalizada, ocorre um processo cerimonial no qual a presença deste candidato, de um apresentador formal (Gaai Siu Yan) e do Líder da Família (Si Fu) ou de um representante nomeado por ele, se faz necessária.
Porém, como se faz para retornar à Família Kung Fu uma vez tendo se afastado?

When accessing the Traditional System in the Grand Clan Moy Yat Sang, the practitioner is admitted before into a Kung Fu Family. Si Fu esteve em 2009 no Templo Shaolin no sul da China. Na ocasião, ele teve a oportunidade de apreciar uma refeição feita com alimentos cultivados pelos próprios monges do local. Diferente do templo ao norte da China, o Templo Shaolin do Sul não tem viés turístico e por conta disso, os monges podem produzir seu próprio alimento com mais tranquilidade.
Na ocasião, Si Fu foi servido por monges jovens, alguns deles ainda eram crianças. Ele observou, que muitos deles tinham curativos na cabeça.

Si Fu was in 2009 at the Shaolin Temple in southern China. On occasion, he had the opportunity to enjoy a meal made with food grown by the local monks themselves. Unlike the temple in northern China, the Southern Shaolin Temple has no tourist bias and because of this, monks can produce their own food more peacefully.
At the time, Si Fu was served by young monks, some of them were still children. He noted that many of them had bandages on their heads.

Segundo os ensinamentos que Si Taai Gung Moy Yat deixou para Si Gung. É sabido, que abaixo da mesa ancestral , a qual chamamos de "Sam Toi", pode vir a aparecer um bastão de sândalo. A Família Kung Fu demonstrará maturidade ao ponto que este bastão estiver coberto de poeira, pois este , é um sinal de desuso. Isso porque, para os monges que dormem enquanto meditam, o Si Fu os acerta com um na cabeça. Os monges, principalmente mais jovens despertam, porém, segundo Si Fu, isso não é o suficiente. Pois a qualquer momento, o Si Fu os acerta com o bastão mesmo acordados e atentos. Pois como a vida, as vezes você pode estar vivendo um bom momento , e mesmo assim ela o acertará sem piedade. Assim é com o bastão de sândalo , e assim é com a vida.

Com os anos, vemos as pessoas se afastarem da Família Kung Fu pelos motivos mais diversificados, porém, existe uma gama de razões que não varia muito: "Você vê, isso não é necessário. Realmente precisa a pessoa vir, ter essa conversa triste e sair andando até o elevador desse jeito? " - Disse Si Fu quando um To Dai seu se afastou depois de longa conversa. Depois de presenciar pessoas se afastando e ouvir delas também por tantas e tantas vezes, cheguei a conclusão, que na maioria das vezes bastava apenas uma conversa. Porém, quando a pessoa aparece decidida, há pouco o que se fazer. Porém, esquece-se que a base do Ving Tsun é o processo de "Humanidade", no qual é necessário que se haja duas pessoas.

Com os anos, vemos pessoas muito especiais e com potenciais incríveis indo embora do "Mo Lam". Algumas vezes, por falta de tempo, falta de dinheiro , etc... Acontece que somos preparados diariamente para encontrarmos justificativas nos momentos de adversidade ou simplesmente de falta de interesse, mas acabamos por nos deparar com a figura do Si Fu. Essa talvez seja a única pessoa da face da terra, que você não encontrará eco , e por essa razão, para não ter que se deparar com uma solução simples para um problema que parecia enorme, muitos praticantes se afastam sem comunicar ao Si Fu presencialmente. Falo disso, porque a falta de compromisso com quase tudo em nosso mundo é muito grande, e simplesmente desaparecemos. Mas com o Si Fu, este foi o mesmo que presencialmente lhe recebeu na Família Kung Fu, espera-se que presencialmente você diga "Até breve" ou "Adeus".

Eu fico pensando se a pessoa realmente 'não pode' ou se simplesmente não tem coragem de falar a verdade..." .

Mas de todos os tipos de "afastamento" da Família, posso dizer sem dúvidas que os piores são aqueles em que você sai "magoado" ou se sentindo "culpado" por algo.
Dizem, que o Templo Shaolin foi incendiado porque um monge teria envenenado a água do Templo matando quase todos os residentes, abrindo caminho para as tropas de Qing incendiarem o que restou. Essa história fala também do quanto alguém com a visão turva e que acumula sentimentos ruins pode "contaminar" pessoas ao seu redor, mas principalmente a si mesmo.  E infelizmente, algumas contaminações, sejam elas : Mágoas, culpa, raiva, etc...  São pra sempre se não cuidarmos.

Se me perguntassem qual a coisa mais importante que fiz em toda a minha trajetória no Ving Tsun, diria sem dúvidas que foi quando aluguei um dos Mo Gun da Barra em meu nome. Talvez para você que leia, não fique claro o quanto isso significou para mim, mas pude me sentir, num momento adverso, realmente útil à Família Kung Fu.
Anos antes, caminhando pelo Shopping Downtown, Si Fu teria dito: "...O segredo é ter um coração grande e uma memória ruim..." - Se ele realmente não tivesse agido assim comigo, eu não teria tido a chance de me desenvolver e contribuir com a Família Kung Fu, como me senti fazendo naquele momento.

If you would ask me the most important thing I have done in my whole Ving Tsun career, I would say without a doubt that it was when I rented one of the Mo Gun in Barra neighborhood in my name for Si Fu. Perhaps for you to read, it is not clear how much this meant to me, but I could feel, in an adverse moment, really useful to the Kung Fu Family.
Years before, walking by the Downtown Shopping Mall, Si Fu would have said, "... The secret is to have a big heart and a bad memory ..."-  If he really had not acted like this with me, I would not have had the chance to develop myself from a fool to a man and contribute to the Kung Fu Family, as I felt myself doing at that moment.

Voltar para a Família Kung Fu é simplesmente uma questão de decisão. Entender a necessidade de limpar o coração de medos, receios, mágoas ou seja lá o que tiver feito você se afastar. Talvez, quando você volte, você descubra que as coisas tenham mudado um pouco, mas não o suficiente para deixar você de fora. Porém, faz-se importante saber, que a Família Kung Fu não é um grupo congregacional , é uma "Família de Guerra" e você vai tomar "porrada" hora ou outra. A intensidade? Bem, a circunstância vai dizer. A Família Kung Fu nem o Si Fu podem ser do jeito que você quer que sejam, mas talvez seja melhor assim, pois quem sabe, é a sua única chance de não encontrar eco para seus medos.


Going back to the Kung Fu Family is simply a matter of decision. Understand the need to cleanse the heart of fears, sorrows or whatever has made you turn away. Maybe, when you come back, you'll find that things have changed a bit, but not enough to leave you out. However, it is important to know that the Kung Fu Family is not a congregational group, it is a "Family of War" and you will be "beaten" one hour or another. The intensity? FASSBENDER AND SCHWARZENEGGER JOINS KUNG FURY II

Imagine conseguir juntar num mesmo filme, a estética ímpar dos anos 80 com referências aos melhores filmes de "tiras renegados", "Miami Vice", "The Warriors" , "Streets of Fire" e de games como "Streets of Rage"? Pois é, David Sandberg conseguiu! E sozinho!

O que pegou mesmo todos de surpresa, é que nos dias que se seguiram, também em sua página do instagram, Sandberg anunciou que Michael Fassbender e Arnold Shwarzenegger se juntaram a produção: "Welcome to the Kung Fury family Michael Fassbender" - escreveu Sandberg. Sobre Arnold , o gênio sueco escreveu: "Honrado além de minha capacidade de crer que tenho a chance de trabalhar com o primeiro e único Arnold Shwarzenegger!"
