(Enquanto as pessoas dormiam em paz na casa. Eu me sentia como Kenshiro no ano 199X caminhando sob o sol forte por não conseguir desligar as inacreditavelmente fortes luzes da sala)

(As long as people slept in peace in the house. I felt like Kenshiro in the year 199X walking under the hot sun for failing to turn off the strongest lights I ever seen in that living room where I was trying to sleep)

Eu havia me programado para dormir todos os dias na casa onde ocorria o evento. Naquela primeira noite, dormi sozinho na sala. Apesar de todo o conforto que a casa proporcionava, sua elétrica era bem peculiar. As vezes você apertava um interruptor no quarto e a luz do quintal acendia, outras você com um controle baixava a temperatura de um ar-condicionado e ao mesmo tempo a temperatura do outro aumentava... Decorar todas estas combinações era um puzzle que eu não estava interessado... Por isso, sem saber como desligar a luz da sala, deitei no sofá com uma iluminação que mais parecia um simulacro do sol do Senegal bem no meu rosto. Se não estivesse tão cansado até mesmo pra sonhar, imagino com o que seria...

I had programmed me to sleep every day in the house where the event occurred. That first night, I slept alone in the living room.  Após despertar, e já arrumado. Juntos de outros irmãos Kung Fu começamos a cobrir a estrutura da obra.

Quando acordei, havia muita coisa a se fazer. Ailton Jordão já estava de pé, e sem falar com ninguém me dirigi ao banheiro para tomar banho . Ao sair a casa já estava mais cheia do que quando entrei, e o café começava a ser preparado(fotos acima). Enquanto isso, começamos a preparar para cobrir uns tapumes da obra que está acontecendo no local, com tnt preto, a fim de deixar com uma melhor aparência.(fotos acima)
Naquele dia, o principal do evento por ter o aniversário de Si Gung no final da noite, tudo precisava estar ok.

When I woke up, there was much to do. Ailton Jordao was up, and without speaking to anyone I headed to the bathroom to shower. When leaving the bathroom, the house was already fuller than when I entered, and breakfast began to be prepared (photos above). Meanwhile, we begin to prepare to cover each sidings of the construction site with  black fabric, in order to leave with a better look. (Photos above)
That day, the main event , the birthday celebration for  Si Gung late in the evening, everything had to be ok.

Mestre Domenico cuidou de parte do grupo do módulo Ving Tsun Experience. Na atividade que reuniu vários dos Mestres presentes.

Em outro local da belissima casa, Mestre Marcelo Navarro, junto dos Mestres Ricardo Queiroz e  Celso Grande. Coordenam uma prática voltada para praticantes nos Domínios : Siu Nim Tau, Cham Kiu e Biu Ji.

Na sequência do café-da-manhã , alguns dos mestres presentes coordenaram práticas diversas para pessoas de diferentes níveis. Foi uma ótima experiência. Infelizmente não consegui participar o quanto gostaria, mas fiquei feliz mesmo assim.

Following the breakfast in the morning, some of the present masters coordinated several practices for people of different levels. It was a great experience. Unfortunately I could not participate as much as I would like, but I was happy anyway.

Enquanto os Mestres coordenavam as práticas. Si Taai, com a ajuda técnica de Thiago Silva(foto) da Familia Moy Jo Lei Ou. Liderava um bate-papo com as co-lideres das Familias Kung Fu. Um trabalho que achei muito bacana, do pouco que pude ouvir, já que a jornada de um praticante dentro do Ving Tsun, ainda mais um Si Fu, é muito imersiva. E o apoio dos familiares é fundamental.

Quando a prática se encerrou, ajudei Si Sok Leo Mordente a organizar a entrega dos pôsteres e dos livros para aqueles que estavam interessados .

Os livros receberam uma dedicatória de Si gung, com excessão do Livro de Pedra, de autoria de Si Sok que foi autografado pelo próprio.  Os pôsteres vem em canudos vermelhos com uma etiqueta assinada pelo próprio Si gung. Legitimando a entrega.

Depois do delicioso almoço, ocorreu um outro grande momento: O Painel com os Mestres(foto) da Moy Yat Ving Tsun. Foram abertas perguntas aos presentes que poderiam ser feitas aos Mestres, incluindo Si Gung e Si Taai. Tivemos perguntas muito boas e momentos bem emocionantes , e tudo felizmente correu bem naquele dia de sol forte no Rio de Janeiro...
Depois do painel, os presentes se dividiram em dois. Uma parte seguiu Si Gung para uma partida de futebol enquanto outros ficaram na casa para os preparativos da celebração do aniversário.

After the delicious lunch was another great moment: The panel with the Masters (photo) of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun. After the panel, the present split in two. Part followed Si Gung to a soccer game while others were in the house to the preparations for the birthday celebration.

MASTER LEO IMAMURA B-DAY (ANIVERSÁRIO DE MESTRE LEO IMAMURA)

Naquela noite de 2004, foi celebrado o aniversário de Si Gung (foto) num restaurante próximo dali em frente a praia. Eu(foto) , que estava presente, pude desfrutar daquele momento importante para tantas pessoas. Mas naquele momento ainda não entendia o Kung Fu como algo além de socos e chutes. Na verdade, fazia questão de que fosse assim. E por isso, perdia a amplitude de como as coisas funcionavam dentro do Clã, no seu momento mais importante como o aniversário de seu líder, no caso, Si Gung.

That night in 2004, we celebrated the birthday of Si Gung (photo) in a restaurant near there in front of the beach. I (photo), who was present, could enjoy that important moment for many people. But at that time I did not understand Kung Fu as anything else than punches and kicks. In fact, I insisted that it was so. And so I lost the breadth of how things worked within the Clan, in its most important moment as the birthday of its leader, in this case, Si Gung.

Eu não conseguia ver que ao ajudar na preparação, fosse do aniversário do Si Fu, ou do Si Gung neste caso, que começara dias antes(como vemos na foto acima) muito podia ser aprendido. Como diz François Julien em um de seus livros: "...Em todos os casos, quem sabe apoiar-se no potencial de situação pode facilmente levar a melhor. Ou segundo a expressão de um comentador, 'com pouco esforço' pode obter-se 'muito efeito'..."

I could not see that to assist in the preparation,of Si Fu or even Si Gung b-day , which had begun days before (as we see in the photo above) much could be learned. Si Gung(foto) terá seu aniversário celebrado no Rio de Janeiro, e por isso, os membros das Famílias Kung Fu de nosso estado começaram a se mobilizar para tal.

Coincidentemente, 10 anos depois, minha participação nesse momento de organização volta a ser abaixo da que eu gostaria, não por vontade , mas por necessidade. E se você quer saber se isso me incomoda, bom, é dito que "...Transformação de si , e transformação dos outros são igualmente progressivas, e uma é consecutiva a outra: É porque a 'autenticidade interior' não se desmente que ela acaba por enformar todo o comportamento;com o tempo, ela se torna transparente fora, depois tão completamente manifesta essa objetivação, ao se intensificar, reage necessariamente sobre o que está em volta e o sábio acaba, sem o querer, por abalar e transformar..."(ZY parágrafo 23)

Membros do da família Moy Jo Lei Ou se reuniram para discutir as linhas gerais para a organização de um doa eventos mais importantes na nossa família Kung Fu, o aniversário do líder do Clã Moy Yat Sang, Mestre Leo Imamura. O almoço contou com a presença de oito membros do núcleo Barra além do próprio Si Fu. Todos participaram com muitas ideias e cada um levou um pouco das suas experiências pessoais. Um evento com mais de cem convidados já é complexo em si, no caso do Kung Fu o evento exige um planejamento ainda mais complexo. Cada detalhe é importante, por isso após dar oito voltas no shopping com dois membros o Si Fu ajudou manter os planejamentos sempre de forma realista. Isto porque com tanta complexidade fica fácil se perder, neste caso é melhor cortar as folhas do que cortar a raiz. O Si Fu nos encorajou o tempo todo a planejar o melhor evento que pudermos imaginar, desde que seja viável, pois o mais importante é o resultado final. Neste caso o resultado final não é o planejamento e sim o evento em si. Para o evento fluir da melhor forma possível cada membro assumiu a responsabilidade de começar já os preparativos.
O mais interessante de organizar um evento como esses com os irmãos kung fu é que fortalece os laços de amizade e de certa  forma o evento principal gera vários eventos secundários. Nesta reunião ficou latente que precisaremos nos reunir outras vezes.
Até agora a empolgação é grande e todos querem participar. Pelo que vemos todos os dias no Mo Gun só podemos esperar que o evento será uma grande experiência para todos nós.  

Members of the Moy Jo Lei Ou family met to discuss the outline for organizing one of the most important events in our family Kung Fu , the birthday of the leader of Clan Moy Yat Sang , Master Leo Imamura . The lunch was attended by eight members of the MYVT Barra School including the Si Fu himself. All participated with many ideas and each one took a bit of their personal experiences. An event with over one hundred guests is already complex in itself, in the case of a Kung Fu event it requires more complex planning. Every detail is important, so after giving eight laps around the mall with two members, Si Fu helped us to keep the schedules always realistic. This is because with such complexity is easy to get lost, in this case it is better to cut the leaves than cutting the root. The Si Fu encouraged us all the time to plan the best event we can imagine, as long as it is viable, because the most important is the final result. In this case the final result is not the planning but the event itself. So that the event can flow on its best way possible, each member took responsibility of already beginning the preparations.  
The most interesting of organizing such an event with the kung fu brothers is that it strengthens the bonds of friendship and somehow the main event generates multiple secondary events. In this meeting it got clear that we will need to get together other times.
By now the excitement is great and everyone wants to participate. From what we see every day in Mo Gun we can only hope that the event will be a great experience for all of us.

SI GUNG´S 51 SPRINGS

Mestre Leo Imamura é meu "Si Gung", e ele está completando 51 anos.
Si Gung (師公) é o Si Fu(師父) de seu Si Fu(師父). Levando-se em consideração que o "Fu"(父) de
Si Fu(師父) significa "Pai" o "Gung"(公) de Si Gung (師公) significa "avô".
Já ouvi dizer que avôs são cúmplices por natureza. Eles já educaram os filhos e agora podem curtir os netos sem a responsabilidade de um pai.

Meu Si Gung é um dos maiores mestres de Ving Tsun do Brasil e do mundo. E toda a sua dedicação no passado, permite com que hoje, nós, seus descendentes. Desfrutemos de um Clã prestigiado no meio marcial.

Master Leo Imamura is my "Si Gung", and he is completing 51 years old. 
A Si Gung(師公) is the Si Fu (師父) of your Si Fu(師父). Taking into consideration that the "Fu" (父) of 
Si Fu (師父) means "Father" the character "Gung" (公) from Si Gung (师 公) means "grandfather." 
I've heard so many times in Brazil, that grandfathers are accomplices in nature to their grandchildren. They have educated their children and now they can enjoy their grandchildren without the responsibility of a father. 
My Si Gung is one of the greatest masters of Ving Tsun in Brazil andin  the world. And all his dedication in the past, allows that today we, his descendants enjoy a prestigious Clan in the Martial Arts Circles.

Posso dizer por experiência própria, que Si Gung sabe muito, não só de Ving Tsun mas entende outras artes de forma muito profunda tecnicamente falando. Ainda que ele quase nunca apareça fazendo qualquer tipo de movimento, mas preferindo compartilhar o conhecimento confiado a ele por seu próprio Si Fu, meu
Si Taai Gung Moy Yat, sobre Ving Tsun, Kung Fu e a vida.

I can say from experience that Si Gung knows a lot, not only about Ving Tsun, but also about other arts but  very deeply technically speaking. Although he almost never appears doing any kind of movement, but preferring to share the knowledge entrusted to him by his own Si Fu, my 
Si Taai Gung Moy Yat about Ving Tsun, Kung Fu and life.

Desde sempre com Si Gung, pude aprender dele grandes lições que fizeram muito sentido pra mim , e ao mesmo tempo eram engraçadíssimas: A primeira delas, era que Si Gung numa manhã de Sábado no antigo Núcleo Jacarepaguá da MYVT durante um início de evento com ele, nos atentou para o número de pessoas com meias pretas na sala. Na época nosso uniforme completo era todo preto. E ele disse que muitos estavam de meias brancas, o que não combinava.

Ele então nos atentou para quantos de nós estávamos despenteados: Nenhum.

Ele disse que nossas mãos estão mais próximas da cabeça, por isso é naturalmente  mais fácil dar atenção a esse local. Já os pés estão mais distantes. 

Naquele momento ele olhou pra mim, talvez nem soubesse meu nome ainda, mas brincou: "Por isso quando for conhecer uma menina, ao invés de olhar para outros lugares-(risos de todos)- olhe para os pés dela. Uma mulher que cuida dos pés, é uma mulher cuidadosa com tudo."

Ive always learned great lessons from him that made much sense to me, and at the same time those lessons could be very funny: The first one was that Si Gung on a Saturday morning in the old MYVT Jacarepagua School during an lecture with him , asked us to look at the number of people with black socks in the  room. At the time our full uniform was all black. And he said many were wearing white socks, which did not fit. 

He then asked us to look in to how many of us were disheveled: None. 

He said that our hands are closer to the head, so it is naturally easier to pay attention to this part of our body. But your feet are further away. 

At that moment he looked at me, perhaps not even know my name at the time, but joked: "So when you meet a girl, rather than looking elsewhere-(everyone laughs) - look at her feet. A woman who cares about her feet, is a thoughtful woman with everything. "

Anos mais tarde, estava com ele (foto) em seu aniversário de 50 anos em 2013 e pedi para tirarmos uma foto. Si Gung então me indagou: "Não chega de foto comigo Pereira?" e riu. Ele completou: "Deve ter umas 100 fotos comigo!"...

Na hora eu apenas ri, mas alguns meses depois eu estava no Núcleo Copacabana, e naquela manhã de Domingo, durante um bate-papo, Si Gung falou algo que me tocou: "Hoje em dia você vê as pessoas nos shows filmando com o celular. Elas nem prestam atenção no show, preferem registrar. É como aquelas pessoas que pedem pra tirar foto comigo. Quando a pessoa nunca me vê , tudo bem. Mas se ela é da Família e está comigo regularmente, ela não precisa de foto. Porque a relação está acontecendo ali, naquele momento. Mas a pessoa se importa mais em registrar do que em viver a relação."

Years later, I was with him (photo) on his 50th birthday in 2013 and asked to take a picture with him. 

Si Gung then asked me: "Not enough  pictures with me Pereira?" and laughed. He added: "You must have about 100 photos with me!" ... 

At the time I just laughed, but a few months later I was in MYVT Copacabana School, and on a Sunday morning, during a chat, Si Gung said something that hit me: "Nowadays you see people at the shows filming with cell phones . they do not watch the show anymore, but prefer registering.Like those people who ask to take a picture with me. When the person never sees me, fine. But if the person is a membre of the family, and  is with me regularly, this person does not need the photo. The relationship is happening at that very moment. But the person cares more about registering than to live the relationship. "

Curiosamente numa certa ocasião com Si Fu em seu escritório, indaguei o motivo dele não ter nenhuma foto de suas filhas : Jade e Julia na sua mesa. Ele então sorriu e disse que geralmente pais que não vêem os filhos com frequência ou a Família de forma geral, deixam a foto num porta-retrato na mesa. Se você vive com a pessoa, não precisa da foto dela para lembrar. Então Si Fu completou dizendo que talvez por não ter fotos delas no Mo Gun, isso o faça sempre lembrar da importância de estar com elas. Assim, ele me atentou ao fato de que não existiam fotos dele pelo Mo Gun, mas apenas de Si Gung e Si Taai Gung: "Eu estou aqui , não precisa de fotos minhas nas paredes."

Interestingly on one occasion with Si Fu in his office, I asked why he did not have any pictures of his daughters:Jade and Julia at his desk. He then smiled and said that often parents who do not see their children frequently or the family in general, leave a picture frame on the table. If you live with the person, do not need to remind trough photos. So Si Fu completed saying maybe by not having photos of them in Mo Gun, he must do always remember the importance of being with them. So he made me looked to the fact that there were no pictures of him at Mo Gun, but only Si Gung 's and Si Taai Gung's: "I'm here, so people do not need my pictures on the walls."

Quando você entra no Mo Gun do Méier, você caminha alguns passos e a sua direita vai surgir um mural de fotos de vários momentos do Clã Moy Yat Sang, mas não tem fotos minhas lá. Nem em nenhum outro local do Mo Gun.Além disso, geralmente, eu procuro combinar as meias com o tênis e a calça que estou usando...
Você pode achar isso tudo coincidência. Mas em nosso Clã , Si Gung nos fez entender vivências como estas ao longo destas décadas, como algo chamado "Saam Faat"(心法) ou simplesmente "Vida Kung Fu"...

Parabéns Si Gung!

When you enter the MYVT Meier School, you walk a few steps and at your right a collection of photos from various moments of Moy Yat Sang Clan will be there, but do not have my pics there.
