Em Marços de 2015, quando Si Taai Vanise Imamura pegou o microfone para falar algumas palavras em função do aniversário de seu marido, Si Gung Leo Imamura. Dentre as primeiras coisas que falou, ela se referiu a estar bem feliz em ver todos os presentes, dentre os quais pessoas que ela conhece a mais de duas décadas como Si Fu, tão bem vestidos. Ela brincou sobre como eram as coisas no início da Família Moy Yat Sang no Brasil.

In March of 2015, when Si Taai Vanise Imamura took the microphone to speak a few words due to the anniversary of her husband, Si Gung Leo Imamura. Among the first things she spoke about, she referred to being very happy to see everyone present, among whom she met more than two decades before as Si Fu, so well dressed. She joked about how things were at the beginning of the Moy Yat Sang Family in Brazil.

Si Gung inovou em vários aspectos do Kung Fu no Brasil. Dos mais exóticos aos mais óbvios. Dentro do que se encontra no segundo grupo, o grupo das coisas óbvias, está a maneira adequada de se vestir.  Como podemos ver nessa foto tão marcante de Si Taai Vanise, Si Taai Po Helen e Si Gung, por ocasião da celebração do aniversário da matriarca da Linhagem Moy Yat em Brasília.

Si Gung innovated in various aspects of Kung Fu in Brazil. From the most exotic to the most obvious. Within what lies in the second group, the group of things obvious, is the proper way of dressing. As we can see in this very striking photo of Si Taai Vanise, Si Taai Po Helen and Si Gung, on the occasion of the birthday celebration of the matriarch of the Moy Yat Lineage in Brasilia.

Si Fu ao longo das décadas foi se aprofundando mais e mais no que se diz respeito a entender a vestimenta mais adequada a uma determinada ocasião. Porém, este conhecimento, não veio de uma "aula teórica" dada por Si Gung em algum momento do passado, e sim, a montante. Pois como escreve Anne Cheng, a famosa sinóloga francesa em sua obra-prima "A história do Pensamento Chinês" (Histoire de la penseé chinoise, Paris, 1997) : "...A primeira orientação , ilustrada eminentemente na tradição confuciana , interessa-se prioritariamente pela passagem efetiva entre conhecimento e ação, passagem esta entendida em termos chineses de relação entre o latente e sua manifestação visível, ao passo que a tradição taoizante, que representa a principal alternativa, privilegia e cultiva o aquém - ou o a-montante- do visível..."

Si Fu over the decades has been getting deeper and deeper in what concerns to understand the dress more appropriate to a certain occasion. However, this knowledge did not come from a "theoretical class" given by Si Gung at some point in the past, but rather upstream. As Anne Cheng writes, the famous French synlogist, in her masterpiece "The History of Chinese Thought" (Histoire de la pensee chinoise, Paris, 1997): "... The first orientation, eminently illustrated in the Confucian tradition, the passage is to understood in Chinese terms as the relation between the latent and its visible manifestation, whereas the Taoist tradition, which represents the main alternative, privileges and cultivates the underworld - or the upstream - of the visible ... "

Quando se tratam de artes marciais chinesas, muito se fica confuso no que diz respeito a vestimenta correta. Trajes usados para a prática são confundidos com vestimentas formais, e nos casos das mulheres, não é difícil ver uma vestimenta com motivos inapropriados para uma determinada ocasião.

When it comes to Chinese martial arts, a lot of people gets confused with regard to correct dressing protocol. Costumes worn for practice are confused with formal dress, and in the case of women, it is not difficult to see a garment with motives inappropriate for a particular occasion.

chèungsàam é a pronuncia em cantonês para:
chèungsàam is the pronunciation for: 

長(chèung) - "longo" (long)
衫(sàam) - "Vestido". (dress)

Essa é a pronuncia em cantonês para o termo no dialeto de ShangHai "zǎnze"(长衫) , que contrasta com o termo chángshān(长衫) em mandarim, que se refere a uma vestimenta exclusivamente masculina enquanto Kei Pou (QiPao旗袍) seria o equivalente feminino.  Acontece , que esta vestimenta de origem Manchu, foi usada pela primeira vez por mulheres "Han"(汉) por estudantes de ShangHai.
Além disso, quando alfaiates de ShangHai fugiram para Hong Kong depois da Revolução Comunista passaram a usar chèungsàam tanto para vestes masculinas quanto para femininas, e Kei Pou( Qi Pao 旗袍) seria um termo mais formal.

This pronunciation is the cantonese version for the shanghainese "zǎnze"(长衫) , wich contrast with the mandarin chángshān(长衫), that is a term only for male clothes and QiPao(旗袍) for female clothes. But this dress , wich came from Manchuria, was used for the first time by "Han"(汉) women trough shanghainese students.  Besides, ShangHai tailors fled to Hong Kong after Comunists Revolution in Continental China, and start to use chèungsàam for men and women. And QiPao[Kei Po](旗袍) became a more formal term.

Ao longo dos anos, esta vestimenta Manchu sofreu alterações, onde nos anos 30 se tornou mais justa ao corpo, seguindo padrões ocidentais da época. Nos anos 40 se tornou finalmente a vestimenta padrão das mulheres chinesas em ocasiões especiais ao redor do mundo.

Ainda não sou capaz de ter um entendimento tão vasto como o de Si Fu sobre as mais diferentes vestimentas para as mais diferentes ocasiões. Porém, o simples fato de se conviver com alguém assim, faz com que você de alguma forma se incomode com o "Inadequado" ainda que não saiba bem a razão. Por isso, mais uma vez citando Anne Cheng [ "A história do Pensamento Chinês" (Histoire de la penseé chinoise, Paris, 1997)] : "... Trata-se de aprender, não para os outros, mas junto aos outos. Tudo proporciona ocasião para aprender, já que se aprende sobretudo no intercâmbio..." 

Nos analectos de Confúcio lê-se : "O Mestre diz: Quando se passeia, mesmo que só a três, cada um está seguro de encontrar no outro um mestre, considerando o que há de bom para imitá-lo e o que há de mau para corrigi-lo em si mesmo "(VII,21)

I am not yet able to have an understanding as vast as that of Si Fu on the most different garments for the most different occasions. But the simple fact of living with someone like that makes you somehow uncomfortable with the "Inadequate" even if you do not know the reason well. Hence, again quoting Anne Cheng: "... It is about learning, not for others, but with others. Everything provides an opportunity to learn, since one learns especially in the exchange ... "

In the analects of Confucius one reads: "The Master says: When one walks, even if only three, each is sure to find in the other a master, considering what is good to imitate him and what is bad to correct him in himself "(VII, 21)

Observe que em alguns dos modelos, uma pulseira está presente. Este acessório é muito comum não só para mulheres, mas também para homens , apenas com outros formatos. Essas pulseiras costumam ser de jade, a pedra nacional da China . 

Segundo a Professora de Cultura Chinesa da PUC-Rio Wei Oh Lin , em conversa com meu Si Fu que pude presenciar em 2008. A jade tem como função, proteger seu portador de possíveis acidentes: "...Minha filha não acreditava nisso. Ela vive na Alemanha, algo iria acontecer com ela, mas a pulseira de jade que dei quebrou primeiro sem motivo aparente algum. Depois ela passou a acreditar. Por isso é bom usar jade..." - Relatou a professora.

Note that on some of the models, a wristband is present. This accessory is very common not only for women, but also for men, only with other formats. These bracelets are usually made of jade, the national stone of China.

According to the Chinese Culture Professor of PUC-Rio Wei Oh Lin, in conversation with my Si Fu that I was able to witness in 2008. Segundo o pensamento clássico chinês, aprender é portanto, tornar-se "homem de bem" ou ainda "aprender é aprender a fazer de si um ser humano." E segundo a sinóloga Anne Cheng, não há expressão melhor do que esta para dizer que ser humano é uma coisa que se aprende. Ou seja, nossa humanidade (aqui descrita como nossa capacidade de se conectar) não é um dado, é é construída e tecida nos intercâmbios entre as pessoas e na busca de uma harmonia comum. Toda a história humana bem como nossa experiência individual estão aí para nos confrontar com a evidência de que nunca somos humanos o bastante, e que nunca acabaremos de tornar-nos mais humanos. 

According to classical Chinese thinking, learning is therefore becoming a "good man" or "learning is learning to make oneself a human being." And according to the synlogist Anne Cheng, there is no better expression than this to say that being human is something you learn. That is, our humanity (here described as our ability to connect) is not a given, is built and woven in the interchanges between people and in the pursuit of a common harmony. All of human history as well as our individual experience are there to confront us with the evidence that we are never human enough, and that we will never end up becoming more human.

Talvez você se pergunte sobre o que isso tudo tem a ver com a luta . Não sou eu a melhor pessoa a explicar isso. Nem sei se deveria. O que posso dizer, é que Si Fu talvez em sua busca por um aprofundamento em cada tema a que se dedica, prefere não ficar na superficialidade ou no senso-comum. Porque , se pensarmos sobre luta, aquele movimento inadequado, e que destoa , talvez seja o mínimo necessário para você morrer. Aquele gesto inadequado , quando você precisa passar o celular para o bandido e que destoa . Talvez seja o mínimo necessário para você morrer. Por fim, aquela roupa, que você veste com pressa, e não pensa muito a respeito, talvez seja o mínimo necessário, para você destoar. E quando você destoa, você perde a conexão, e quando você perde a conexão, você perde a humanidade.

Maybe you wonder what this all has to do with the fight. I'm not the best person to explain that. I do not even know if I should. What I can say is that Si Fu perhaps in his quest for a deepening undesrtanding in each subject that he dedicates, prefers not to be in the superficiality or the common sense. Because if we think about fighting, that inadequate movement, and that it distorts, may be the least necessary for you to die. That inappropriate gesture, when you need to move the cell phone to the bad guy and that distune. Maybe it's the least you need to die. Finally, that dress, which you wear in a hurry, and does not think much about it, may be the least necessary, for you to distune. And when you distune, you lose the connection, and when you lose the connection, you lose humanity.

MYVT Meier School's Ivitation to move out

Ainda posso lembrar de estar sentado no chão com Si Suk Ursula . Estávamos numa sala, o chão de tábua corrida antiga e gasta. Sentávamos sobre esteiras usadas para a prática de Yoga. Era Dezembro de 2010 e aguardávamos a dona do local no qual funcionava a Unidade Méier para uma conversa. Si Suk Ursula já não cuidava mais do Méier, mas sua relação tão próxima com a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, com seu Líder e comigo, a levou até ali para aquela conversa.
Quando a dona do local sentou-se, já sabíamos como a conversa se encerraria. E não foi surpresa aquele singelo convite para que nos retirássemos do local. Nunca poderíamos dizer que "deu errado" ou qualquer coisa parecida. Muita coia boa havia acontecido no período em que ficamos ali, e aquele ciclo chegava ao fim.

I can still remember sitting on the floor with Si Suk Ursula. We were in a room, the old and worn-out board floor. We sat on treadmills used for practicing Yoga. It was December 2010 and we waited for the owner of the place where the MYVT Meier Studio worked for a conversation. Si Suk Ursula no longer cared for Méier School directly, but her close relationship with the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, with its Leader and me, took her there for that conversation.
When the owner of the place sat down, we already knew how the conversation would end. And that simple invitation to remove us from the place was not surprising. We could never say that it "went wrong" or anything like that. A lot of good things had happened during the time we were there, and that cycle was coming to an end.

Quando se faz parte de uma Família Kung Fu, se aprende em algum momento a não ouvir com os ouvidos, mas sim com o coração. Às vezes não o escutamos e nesses momentos nos atrapalhamos. Por isso, diferente do convite objetivo para nos mudarmos que narrei no primeiro parágrafo, já faz um bom tempo, que uma série de indícios me levam a acreditar que chegara o momento do Mo Gun da Família Moy Fat Lei se mudar.
Encontramos na Cultura Clássica Chinesa, essa noção de "momento oportuno" . Um momento que se o perdermos, perdemos também a eficácia estratégica. Essa mesma cultura clássica nos diz, que esta "Ocasião" , não é uma simples chance que aparece de passagem, mas sim, a manifestação de uma série de circunstâncias , incitando `a ação e favorecendo seu sucesso.

When you are part of a Kung Fu Family, you learn at some point not to listen with your ears, but with your heart. Sometimes we do not listen with our hearts and in those moments we get in trouble. So, unlike the objective invitation to move that I told you in the first paragraph, it's been quite a while since a series of clues led me to believe that it was time for the Mo Gun of Moy Fat Lei Family to move.
We find in Chinese Classical Culture this notion of "opportunity moment". A moment that if we lose it, we lose strategic effectiveness as well. This same classical culture tells us that this "Occasion" is not a simple chance that appears in passing, but rather the manifestation of a series of circumstances, inciting action and favoring its success.

Então, numa Sexta qualquer , peguei Si Fu em sua casa de Uber e fomos juntos até o local no qual será o Núcleo Ipanema, dirigido pelo discípulo do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou que mais acompanha Si Fu em suas viagens Claudio Teixeira.
Fica numa galeria que já passei na porta inúmeras vezes, e só pelo entorno da sala, a locação já era válida, ,mas quando me deparei com ela, tão ampla e incrível, fiquei sem palavras.

Then, on any given Friday, I picked up Si Fu at his house by Uber and we went together to the place where it will be the Ipanema School, led by the disciple of the Clan Moy Jo Lei Or who also follows Si Fu in his travels, Claudio Teixeira.
It's in a gallery that I've been at the door countless times, and just around the room, the location was already valid, but when I came across it, so wide and incredible, I was speechless.

Por dentro de mim, um misto de felicidade e orgulho por ver mais um Núcleo de noso Clã nascendo. Lembrando, claro, que pouco mais de um ano atrás Si Fu me dissera que estava enxergando dez Núcleos do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou nos próximos anos. Também estava feliz por Claudio, nos conhecemos a muito tempo, mas ver alguém se envolvendo como ele , com tanto coração, é sempre emocionante.

Inside me, a mixture of happiness and pride to see another school of our Clan being born. Remembering, of course, that little more than a year ago Si Fu had told me that he was seeing Ten new schools of Clan Moy Jo Lei Ou in the next few years. I was also happy for Claudio, we've known each other for a long time, but to see someone getting involved like him, with so much heart, is always exciting.

Eu fiquei com essa frase na cabeça, porque o potencial da sala , seu entorno e tudo que a compõe é de uma qualidade tão grande, que por mais que eu tenha esse sentimento nostálgico pela sala que ocupamos no Méier, naquela manhã de Sexta, se tornara inviável permanecer nela.
Entao, de repente , era como se um raio tivesse me atingido, e sem a necessidade de alguém me convidar para me retirar daquela sala , senti que isso era necessário.
É que segundo a lógica clássica chinesa, quando atuamos no "Momento oportuno", quando nos aproveitamos do potencial que ele porta, podemos até fazer uma singela intervenção no curso das coisas, mas existe uma potencialidade acumulada, que quando despertada (geralmente quando tomamos consciência de um processo seja corporal ou na vida) , pode ser que nem seja mais considerada aquela uma intervenção.

I kept the phrase in my head because the potential of the room, its surroundings and everything that compose it is of such a quality that no matter how much I have this nostalgic feeling for the room we occupied in Méier nieghborhood, but on that Friday morning, made it unfeasible to remain in it.
Then, suddenly, it was as if a lightning bolt had hit me, and without the need for anyone to invite me out of that room, I felt that it was necessary.
It is that according to classical Chinese logic, when we act in the "opportunity moment", when we take advantage of the potential that it carries, we can even make a simple intervention in the course of things, but there is accumulated potentiality that when awakened (usually when we become aware of a process whether bodily or in life), it may not even be considered an intervention.

Então , como se não bastasse, pouco mais de um mês depois, um novo "momento oportuno" surgiu. Talvez por eu não ter aproveitado o primeiro, me vi pela primeira vez de pé dentro do novo Núcleo Barra. Um local com cerca de 100 m² e com toda a sua área, dividida em salas perfeitamente pensadas para cada atividade. E enquanto falava sobre os "Nomes Kung Fu" dos novos discípulo do Clã, mais uma vez, em meu coração o "aperto" que antecede uma decisão...

Then, as if that were not enough, a little more than a month later, a new "opportunity moment" arose. Maybe because I did not take advantage of the first, I saw myself for the first time standing inside the new Barra School. A place with about 100 m² and with all its area, divided into rooms perfectly designed for each activity. And while talking about the "Kung Fu Names" of the new disciples of the Clan, again, in my heart the "squeeze" that precedes a decision ...

Veja: Quando se está para findar um processo, essa ocasião que sentimos ou que algumas pessoas como Si Fu , conseguem enxergar, trata-se na verdade de dois instantes cruciais: o início e o fim de uma transformação. E eu(foto) ainda gosto de fantasiar que "a decisão é minha" . Mas esse "Momento oportuno" é como se fosse a culminação de um desenvolvimento, e tudo que aconteceu até ali, o preparou. Por isso, que muitas atitudes de um Si Fu que podem parecer de improviso, nada mais são do que o fruto de uma evolução que se deve tomar em sua partida, assim que aparece.

 E por isso talvez, que para ser um Mestre de Ving Tsun, é necessário primeiro, ter estudado e vivenciado a fundo o "Biu Ji". Pois muitas vezes, para "Pôr-se em movimento" não podemos retardar o desencadeamento oportuno. E talvez daí, vem a frase de Si Gung, quando diz que "A coragem é circunstancial", porque para "Nos colocar em movimento" , talvez tenhamos também, que nos colocar em uma situação de risco.

And so perhaps, that yfor being a Master of Ving Tsun, you must first have studied and experienced the "Biu Ji". Because many times, to "get moving" we can not delay timely triggering. And perhaps from there, comes the phrase of Si Gung, when he says that "Courage is circumstantial," because to "set us in motion", we may also have to put ourselves in a situation of risk sometimes.

Quando passei a me conhecer de verdade, foi também o dia em que descobri que não era aquele cara agressivo e introvertido que queria ser um lutador. Eu flertava com a "fase semi-estruturada" , mas me descobri como um cara do "Siu Nim Tau", o Domínio mais estruturado de todos do Sistema. Porém, quanto mais fundo se vai no "Mo Lam", menos importa nosso "jeito de sempre", e sim, nossa capacidade de lidar com nossa vocação. Com um "chamado para a ação" que está muito além , de nosso querer.

When I really got to know myself, it was also the day I discovered that I was not that aggressive, introverted guy who wanted to be a fighter. I flirted with the "semi-structured phase," but I discovered myself as a guy from "Siu Nim Tau," the most structured Domain of all System. But the deeper you go in the "Mo Lam", the less it cares about your  "usual way", but your ability to handle your  vocation. With a "call to action" that is far beyond our will.

2017 MYVT MEIER SCHOOL´S STRUGGLE: Before run wild again.

"...O termo underdog é usado nos países anglófonos para designar o perdedor esperado de uma competição (geralmente política, esportiva, artística ou literária). No português do Brasil, o underdog corresponderia ao chamado azarão..."  
A bem verdade, quando o Núcleo Méier abriu as portas em 08 de Abril de 2011, ele não era previsto na estrutura da  Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. Pois após o "15 de Março de 2003" quando os primeiros mestres foram titulados , a ideia de um Núcleo dirigido por um "Daai Si Hing", parecia coisa do passado.

True enough, when the MYVT Meier School opened its doors on April 8, 2011, it was not provided for in the structure of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. For after the "March 15, 2003" when the first masters were titled, the idea of a School headed by a "Daai Si Hing", seemed like a thing of the past.

Talvez porque eu gostasse demais de praticantes como Raphael Caputo e Lucas Eustáquio e tantos outros que pareciam contar comigo de alguma forma, eu aluguei aquela sala e começamos as atividades. E foi bem rapidamente , que o fato de sermos um Núcleo com características únicas, nos colocava numa posição estranha à todo o restante dos Núcleo dirigidos pelos próprios Líderes de Família. Para começar, o presidente da instituição não era meu Si Fu, mas sim, meu Si Gung. Por isso, ao me dirigir a ele para tratar algum tema, me sentia "Pulando uma geração" com frequência.

 Maybe because I liked too much about practitioners like Raphael Caputo and Lucas Eustaquio and so many others who seemed to count on me in some way, I rented that room and started the activities. Posso lembrar com clareza, de quando a agenda do Núcleo Méier tinha apenas dois horários. Quantas horas passava sem absolutamente nada para fazer, numa sala vazia sem nenhum eletrônico ou internet, já que não haviam recursos para tal, entre uma aula e outra? Ficar sozinho no Mo Gun "esperando", faz você pensar e refletir muito, e foi bom para o meu crescimento. De repente, pessoas começaram a aparecer, e me vi conseguindo colocar até 12 praticantes simultaneamente naquela sala.

I can remember with clarity, when the Meier School's agenda had only two schedules. How many hours did I spend with absolutely nothing to do, in an empty room with no electronic or internet, since there were no resources for such, between classes? Being alone in the Mo Gun "waiting", makes you think and reflect a lot, and was good for my growth. Suddenly, people began to appear, and I found myself able to put up to 12 practitioners simultaneously in that room.

Hoje, sentado à mesa enquanto o encerramento do ano da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou acontecia. Muita coisa passava pela minha cabeça. Em determinado momento, contei: Guilherme de Farias , Ailton Jordão , André Almeida, Clayton Meireles, Rodrigo Moreira e Iuri Alvarenga. Todos membros do Núcleo Barra, que começaram no Núcleo Méier e lá praticaram por no mínimo um ano , como no caso do Iuri. Fiz as contas, e lembrei de : Guilherme de Farias, mais uma vez, Luciano "Lucky" Freitas , Ailton Jordão, Fabio Sá, André Almeida, Rodrigo Moreira e Iuri Alvarenga . Todos membros vitalícios do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou que iniciaram suas práticas também no Méier.

Today, sitting at the table while the closure of the year of the Moy Jo Lei Family Ou Family happened. A lot went through my head. E num momento em que todos os meus pares parecem estar com os olhos num horizonte à frente, eu , Diretor do Núcleo Méier, me permiti olhar pra toda essa história e pensar: "Se não fosse aquela pequena sala, o Núcleo que ninguém esperava , o Núcleo que não se encaixava no Programa, o azarão, talvez...Teriam menos sete pessoas aqui nessa mesa hoje. " .   - É preciso respeitar a história do Núcleo Méier. E diferente de todas outras visões apontadas para o futuro, o Núcleo Méier já se encontra no presente, funcionando. E enfrentando sozinho , literalmente, os desafios de ser um Núcleo desbravador.

 And at a time when all my peers seem to have their eyes on a horizon ahead, I, Director of Méier School, allowed myself to look at this whole story and think: "If it were not for that small room, the school that no one expected, the school that did not fit into the Program, the underdog, maybe ... Então , em meio a tantos desafios, pude perceber os membros de minha própria Família se unirem ainda mais e os mais antigos apoiarem todo este processo com muito afinco. E isso tudo se materializou no encerramento do ano da Família Moy Fat Lei. Que além de mim, contava apenas com outro membro da Familia Moy Jo Lei Ou: Fabiano Granado. Meu irmão Kung Fu que precisava me entregar dois dicionários e que me deu a honra de ficar para participar. 
Depois de tantos anos, me vi cercado apenas de membros de minha própria Família Kung Fu, e eu, que nos últimos 12 anos tento estar em todos os lugares ao mesmo tempo, percebi que estava finalmente, num único lugar: O lugar certo.

So, in the midst of so many challenges, I was able to see the members of my own Family come together even more, and the older ones support the whole process very hard. And that all materialized at the close of the year of the Moy Fat Lei Family. That in addition to me, I had only one other member of the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family: Fabiano Granado. My brother Kung Fu needed to give me two dictionaries and he gave me the honor of staying to participate.
After so many years, I found myself surrounded only by members of my own Kung Fu Family, and I, who in the last 12 years tried to be everywhere at once, realized that I was finally in just one place: The right place.

E então desde a última Quarta, me lembro com frequência de uma única coisa que o próprio Si Fu me disse anos atrás: "Pereira, quando você precisar subir aquela escadaria igual a do Rocky. Não vai tocar nenhuma musiquinha, você sabe disso? E talvez , a pessoa que mais deveria torcer por você , vai estar lá sem apoiar."
Os membros da Família Moy Yat Sang, que apenas em 2014, onze anos depois da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou ser fundada , se retiraram por completo do Núcleo Barra para seguir seus próprios caminhos, tendo dado tempo para a Família MJLO ter suas próprias estruturas, sejam elas quais forem. O Núcleo Méier precisou lidar com isso com apenas 1 ano e dois meses da existência da Família Moy Fat Lei. E de fato, me dediquei a chegar ao fundo do poço com urgência, para como o próprio Si Fu disse certa vez, começar a subir de volta, e nessa subida, entendi que não toca música nenhuma mesmo. Então passei a andar mais com meus fones de ouvido como antigamente. Me dediquei a fazer as melhores setlists nos piores dias, porque foi o "Lúdico" que me trouxe até aqui, e desistir dele agora, seria imperdoável.

The Méier School had to deal with this with only one year and two months of the existence of the Moy Fat Lei Family. So I started to walk more with my headphones like I used to. Então, assim como vários Núcleos surgiram do Núcleo Jacarepaguá , do trabalho direto de meu Si Fu, mas todos eram dirigidos por seus Si Dai. Da mesma forma, o Núcleo Méier com tantas pessoas brilhantes e de corações magníficos que se tornaram Diretores, Tutores de ponta, referências, e membros vitalícios. Eram meus Si Dai. E agora, nessa nova subida, seja lá o que acontecer , será um feito pelas mãos de um membro da Família Moy Fat Lei.
E hoje, no encerramento da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, me veio à mente a hashtag que tanto me encantou no passado, que passava a mensagem de você ser o "the hardest worker in the room". E vi, o quão equivocada é este ideia.  Porque o "hardest worker in the room" é apenas um cara sozinho. Um "cara sozinho" quando está fazendo e "um cara sozinho" quando não pode fazer.

So, just as several Nuclei came from the Core Jacarepaguá, from the direct work of my Si Fu, but all were directed by their Si Dai. Muitas pessoas semanalmente e diariamente, se inspiravam e se inspiram pela história dessa sala. Como pode, uma sala tão simples , ter proporcionado tantos momentos ricos? Além disso, é importante para inúmeras pessoas que nem sabemos, terem a certeza de que sonhos existem, podem ser alcançados e principalmente: Podem ser vividos. WHO IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STUDENT IN A KUNG FU FAMILY ?

Era uma ensolarada manhã de algum Sábado de 2007. Eu terminei a prova de Espanhol Instrumental na minha querida e saudosa Universidade no bairro de Piedade. Fazia aquela matéria com um monte de gente que precisava se formar de diversos cursos diferentes. Éramos como uma espécie de “Legião Estrangeira”, renegados em seus próprios cursos que buscavam a redenção. Por isso, sempre que ia para aquela aula me lembrava do filme “Leão Branco “(Lion Heart,1990) do Van Damme, no qual ele era um Legionário, e sorria sozinho achando graça desta besteira enquanto caminhava pelos corredores. (risos)

It was a sunny morning of some Saturday, 2007. I finished the Spanish Language exam at my beloved and dear University in the neighborhood of Piedade.I was in this class with a lot of people who needed to graduate from several different courses. We were like a sort of "Foreign Legion," renegade in our own courses seeking redemption. So whenever I went to that class, I remembered Van Damme's "Lion's Heart" (1990), in which he was a Legionnaire, and I used to smile alone, amused by this silly tought as I walked down the corridors. (laughs)

 Saí da faculdade, e fui caminhando pelos bairros do Encantado e Engenho de Dentro até chegar ao Méier. Caminhava ouvindo meu MP3 azul de 250MB , indicação do meu irmão Kung Fu Rodrigo Moreira, até então apenas um amigo de faculdade. 
A manhã estava incrível, e você podia me ver caminhando satisfeito pela Rua Dias da Cruz que corta o Méier ,enquanto ouvia “Down under” do Men At Work ou “Ah La La along (sweat) do Inner Circle. Estava indo em direção a Escola de Dança na qual funcionava a antiga Unidade Méier da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence.  Teríamos uma palestra naquela tarde.

I left college, and I walked through the neighborhoods of Encantado and Engenho de Dentro until I reached Méier. I walked around listening to my 250MB blue MP3 player, an indication of my  Kung Fu brother Rodrigo Moreira, until then only a friend from college.
The morning was amazing, and you could see me walking happily down Dias da Cruz Street that cuts Méier down while listening to Men At Work's "Down under" or Inner Circle's "Ah La La along (sweat)". He was headed toward the Dance School where the former Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence studio was operating. We'd have a lecture that afternoon.

 Eu havia me preparado para qualquer coisa, pois dias antes quando havia acontecido uma palestra na escola de astrologia na qual minha Irmã Kung Fu Paula Gama dava aula, Si Fu havia me perguntado enquanto subíamos as escadas , se eu queria fazer a palestra. Sentindo meu despreparo, ele apenas me alertou da importância de estar mais do que acompanhando ele, atento a este tipo de possibilidade. Quando cheguei à Escola de Dança, troquei minha roupa pelo uniforme completo da MYVT e organizei as cadeiras no local do workshop sozinho. Depois disso, fiquei na recepção conversando com uma dos três primeiros membros do Ving Tsun Experience no Méier: Erika Martnovisk .
Três horas depois, no horário combinado, Si Fu , Si Suk Ursula, Si Suk Diego e demais pessoas foram chegando. Rodrigo Moreira, que ainda não era membro da Família, levou muitos de seus amigos, dentre eles Felipe Mury, para assistirem a palestra.

I had prepared myself for anything, for days before when a lecture had taken place at the astrology school where my Sister Kung Fu Paula Gama taught, Si Fu had asked me as we went up the stairs if I wanted to lead the lecture. Feeling my unpreparedness, he only alerted me to the importance of being more than accompanying him, mindful of this kind of possibility. When I arrived at the Dance School, I changed my clothes into the full MYVT uniform and organized the chairs on the workshop site alone. After that, I stayed at the reception desk talking to one of the first three members of the Ving Tsun Experience in Méier: Erika Martnovisk.
Three hours later, in the combined time, Si Fu, Si Suk Ursula, Si Suk Diego and other people were arriving. Rodrigo Moreira, who was not yet a member of the Family, took many of his friends, among them Felipe Mury, to attend the lecture

Quando a palestra começou, eu estava filmando e Si Fu por alguma razão que só fui descobrir dias depois, comunicou a todos que esperavam por ele, que seriam seus irmãos Kung Fu: Si Suk Ursula e Diego que coordenariam a palestra.  Ele simplesmente levantou-se e saiu andando e se retirou do recinto. 
Foi possível ver, a rapidez com que Si Suk Ursula se apropriou da situação. Tanto é que daquela palestra, Carlinha Bastos e Felipe Mury começaram a praticar. 

Mas eu não estava bem. Vi que a palestra estava sendo feita no improviso apesar de tudo, e eu queria muito, já naquela época, que as coisas dessem certo no Méier. Então não consegui entender porque Si Fu não tinha passado para mim aquela responsabilidade, já que estava sintonizado com a proposta.  Sem animo, troquei minha roupa e fiquei apenas filmando.

But I was not well. I saw that the lecture was being done on the improvisation in spite of everything, and I wanted very much, at that time, that things would work out in Méier. So I could not understand why Si Fu had not given me that responsibility, since I was in tune with the lecture. Without mood, I changed my clothes and I was just filming.

Esse é um erro muito comum de um “novato” apesar de que eu já não era mais um.  Si Fu brincou recentemente com o termo “Julgar”. – “Qual o problema em julgar alguém?” – Indagou ele à mesa e todos sorriram já esperando alguma quebra de paradigma. Ele prosseguiu: “Uma das profissões mais valorizadas na sociedade é a de juiz. Eles ganham para julgar, então qual o problema em julgar?” – Indagou ele novamente, arrancando risadas. Finalmente concluiu: “A questão, é que não e que não se possa julgar,mas não se deve julgar errado.”
Naquele momento enquanto filmava, eu havia julgado errado. Não avaliei o cenário. Simplesmente elaborei de forma equivocada uma história em minha cabeça e acreditei nela. Si Fu me disse certa vez que aquela altura, eu já deveria ter xingado ele mentalmente: “Você já me xingou mentalmente, Pereira?” – Perguntou ele rindo. Eu respondi sem entender que não. Então ele completou rindo: “Um dia, pode ter certeza! Eu vou fazer uma coisa, você vai ficar chateado e vai me xingar mentalmente!” . – Eu respondi que não faria isso. E realmente eu nunca fiz.  Porém, preciso dizer que muitas e muitas vezes “julguei mal” as ações do Si Fu por não compreendê-las .  Não ia contra elas, mas as vezes parecia inconscientemente atrasá-las, mas desde sempre eu acabo seguindo ou acreditando. Hoje eu nem penso mais, apenas faço, porque sei que de alguma forma, as ideias do Si Fu sempre dão certo. Se não hoje, em algum momento acontecem.
Ao final do evento, acompanhei Si Fu até o prédio dos avós de suas duas filhas para buscá-las. Estava sentado no banco de trás enquanto Si Suk Diego sentava-se no banco da frente. Si Fu conduzia uma espécie de pós-evento sobre tudo que acontecera , a conversa aconteceu até o portão do Barra Bali, mas Si Suk Diego falou mais do que eu, por ter tido uma participação mais objetiva.

This is a very common mistake for a "rookie" even though I was no longer one. Si Fu recently joked with the term "Judge.: "What's the problem in judging someone?" - He asked at the table, and we all smiled, waiting for some paradigm break. Then he finished laughing: "One day, you can be sure! I'm going to do something, you're going to be upset and you're going to curse me mentally! " - I said I would not do that. And I really never did. However, I have to say that I have often "misjudged" the actions of Si Fu for not understanding them. I did not go against them, but sometimes I seemed to unconsciously delay them, but I have always followed or believed them. Today I do not even think anymore, I just do, because I know that in some way, Si Fu's ideas always work out. If not today, at some point they happen.

At the end of the event, I accompanied Si Fu to the grandparents building of his two daughters to pick them up. I was sitting in the back seat while Si Suk Diego sat in the front seat. Si Fu conducted a kind of post-event about everything that had happened, the conversation happened to the gate of Barra Bali building, but Si Suk Diego spoke more than I did, for having had a more objective participation.

Neste filme, Jackie Chan é um órfão que vive de favor num Mo Gun coordenado por dois Daai Si Hing enquanto o Si Fu está sempre viajando. Como uma bela história de cinderela, Jackie Chan é humilhado pelos dois irmãos Kung Fu mais velhos e eles não o deixam ter acesso as práticas. Jackie prepara as refeições, limpa o Mo Gun e faz tudo sozinho, como um “Tapa-buraco”.

Do outro lado da cidade, Simon Yuen tenta sobreviver e encontrar um herdeiro para o estilo do qual é o último descendente: O estilo da serpente. Acontece, que o Clã do estilo Garra-de-Águia (Yee Jiao) que é rival do Clã da Serpente, assassinou todos os seus descendentes, só sobrando Simon Yuen que precisava viver escondido sem mostrar o que sabia.

Em determinado momento, Simon Yuen que luta numa coreografia alucinante usando movimentos apoiados no potencial da situação sem mostrar nada do estilo da serpente, é atacado por um grupo. Jackie Chan mesmo sem saber lutar, ao presenciar a cena resolve ajudá-lo. Jackie cuida do velho mestre em segredo no Mo Gun, e ao partir sem avisar, Simon Yuen deixa um pouco do conhecimento do “Jaau Waai” do estilo da serpente para Jackie desenhado no chão. Na Terça-feira seguinte ao final de semana da palestra, pedi para conversar com Si Fu. Coloquei minha insatisfação sobre a palestra ter sido feita de improviso. E que deveríamos ter sido eu ou ele a coordenar para não comprometer o trabalho no Méier. Ele apenas ouviu, apoiando o queixo nos dedos indicadores das duas mãos que estavam unidas como em posição de oração com os cotovelos sobre a mesa. Si Fu olhava para baixo, parecendo dar ênfase ao que estava ouvindo ou simplesmente se lamentando por ter sido mal compreendido.
Finalmente, comentei que muitas vezes, me sentia mais como um “tapa-buraco” na Família Kung Fu. Nesse momento Si Fu levantou os olhos e me olhou diretamente. E quando acabei de colocar para fora aquele caminhão de insatisfações infundadas ele disse: “Pereira, é uma pena você pensar assim. Não existe posição mais importante na Família Kung Fu do que a de tapa-buraco. Você sabia?” – Ele fez uma pausa me olhando enquanto sentava-se largado em sua cadeira de escritório com as mãos descansadas sobre os braços da cadeira. Eu disse que não sabia. Ele então comentou: “O tapa-buraco é a pessoa que o Si Fu mais confia para qualquer coisa.” – Nesse momento acabei me emocionando. Então , se você se sente um tapa-buraco na Família , você deveria estar feliz com isso.”  - Si Fu então virou-se totalmente de frente para mim, e me disse algumas coisas, me olhando diretamente. Procurou deixar claro que ele sabia o que estava fazendo e disse sua famosa frase: “Eu não vou ser o elo fraco da corrente.”  -  Pensando bem agora, sempre achei que comecei a virar Si Fu na nossa emocionante conversa em 20 de Novembro de 2010 no Barra Shopping, mas talvez tenha começado nesse dia.

E me veio à cabeça enquanto estava sentado no ônibus indo pra casa, o personagem de Jackie Chan no filme “Snake in the Eagle´s Shadow”(1979). Quando assisti a primeira vez aos 18 anos, sonhava em viver algo assim, e ali, sentado no ônibus , me senti o cara mais burro de todos. Pois vivia aquela relação de ajudar na Família Kung Fu desde 2005 quando fui Gaai Siu Yan a primeira vez, e não havia me dado conta.
Talvez por isso, anos depois num engarrafamento, Si Fu comentou: “Fiquei muito decepcionado com sua falta de aderência ao projeto DDD21. Logo você que gosta da história do Leung Jaan com o Chan Wa Sun, que o Chan Wa Sun ajudava o Leung Jaan na farmácia do Si Fu sabe? E você nem deu bola . “ – Eu concordei e Si Fu completou: “ Você não entendeu que seu Si Fu não tem uma farmácia de medicina tradicional chinesa, mas tinha uma série.”
