(Acompanhando Si Fu e Si Mo ao lado de meu Si Hing)
(Following my Si Fu and Si Mo with my Si Hing untill the departure gate)
Às vezes quando você pega o Si Fu no aeroporto depois de uma longa viagem e o trânsito está muito intenso e lento. Sentado no banco do carona ele tira os seus tênis, suas meias, cruza a perna e fica passando a mão em seus dedos enquanto fala de algum assunto importante. Em alguns momentos ele para seu raciocínio com um sorriso no rosto e a boca meio aberta, e completa o pensamento com alguma possibilidade que o deixa mais animado ainda.
Si Fu sentava-se ao meu lado e estávamos parados no engarrafamento de uma Via Expressa do Rio, quando Si Fu perguntou: "Você por acaso tem um clipse de papel ou alguma coisa parecida? Eu precisava abrir meu Iphone pra trocar o chip". - Aquele foi um pedido difícil de atender. Estávamos parados no meio de várias fileiras de carros e eu pouco pude fazer. Estranhamente Si Fu colocou a mão num compartimento da porta do carona e achou um clipse. Isso por si só seria surpreendente, se não fosse Si Fu estar dizendo naquele retorno dos EUA em 2016, sobre a possibilidade de se mudar pra lá. E já com as pernas cruzadas descalço, acariciando um de seus pés, e com um sorriso olhando para frente com a boca meio aberta, concluiu: "...É...Mas não dá... Tem as meninas...Minha mãe...A Família Kung Fu...É..." - Disse ele sorrindo.
Sometimes when you take Si Fu home from the airport after a long journey and the traffic is very intense and slow. Sitting in the passenger seat, he takes off his sneakers, his socks, crosses his leg and rubs his fingers while he talks about something important. In a few moments he stops his thinking with a smile on his face and his mouth half open, and completes the thought with some possibility that makes him even more excited.
Si Fu sat next to me on the passenger seat and we were stopped at a traffic jam on an expressway in Rio, when Si Fu asked: "Do you happen to have a paper clip or something like that? I need to open my Iphone to change the chip". - That was a difficult request to heed. We were standing in the middle of several rows of cars and I could do little. Oddly Si Fu put his hand in a compartment on the passenger door and found a paper clip. That in itself would be surprising, if it weren't for Si Fu saying in that return from his trip to the USA in 2016, about the possibility of moving there. And already with his legs crossed barefoot, with his hand on one of his feet, and with a smile looking forward with his mouth half open, he concluded: "... Yeah ... But I can't ... There are the girls ... My mother ... The Kung Fu Family ... Yeah ... "- He said smiling.

Uma semana depois eu estava sentado diante de Si Fu no antigo Restaurante Deli, em seu condomínio na Zona Oeste da cidade para tomarmos café da manhã. Si Fu já havia decidido ir. Quando ouvi sua decisão, um misto de sentimentos me tomou de assalto. Uma parte do meu cérebro tentava processar o que tinha mudado em apenas uma semana, e a outra, bem...A outra manifestou-se pelas lágrimas subindo até os olhos.
Si Fu talvez tenha reparado e me perguntou se eu lembrava que no meu primeiro dia de prática em 1999, havia perguntado à ele se pretendia desistir um dia- "Lembra disso? Mas eu não vou desistir, só vou me mudar." - Respondi dizendo - "É, mas o senhor vai embora". - Por muitas vezes ele corrigiria à todos que dissessem que ele "estava indo embora". Levei mais de um ano até parar de falar isso.
A week later I was sitting in front of Si Fu in the old Deli Restaurant, in his condo on the West Side of the city to have breakfast. Si Fu had already decided to move to the USA. When I heard his decision, mixed feelings took me by storm. One part of my brain was trying to process what had changed in just a week, and the other part, well ... The other part was manifested by the tears rising up to my eyes.
Si Fu might have noticed and asked me if I remembered that on my first day of practice in 1999, I had asked him if he intended to give up one day- "Remember that? But I'm not going to give up, I'm just going to move to other country." - I replied saying - "Yeah, but you're leaving". - Many times he would correct everyone who said that "he was leaving". It took me over a year to stop saying that.

Tempos depois, estava com Si Gung no Mo Gun da Família Moy Lin Mah. Estava junto dele e da Si Suk Ursula e ele disse que "a Marcia, namorada do Julio, estava se mudando para o apartamento dele. Por isso ele não pôde estar".
O primeiro contato mais prolongado que tive com a Si Mo, foi sentado ao lado dela no mesmo Restaurante Deli. Era uma noite de Sexta ou Sábado, e rememorávamos a vida de Patriarca Moy Yat em função de seu natalício, enquanto comíamos pizza.
Conforme Si Mo foi entrando em nossas vidas e percebia a relação dos dois ficando cada vez mais séria, pensei comigo que a mudança de Si Fu para os E.U.A. deveria então não mais acontecer. Afinal, agora tinha a Si Mo.
Si Fu fez sua mágica mais uma vez, e como num "filme de Sessão da Tarde" que tudo dá certo no final. Os dois se casaram com "toques cinematográficos" e toda a papelada sairia a tempo também para a Si Mo se mudar com Si Fu.
Later, I was with Si Gung at the Mo Gun of the Moy Lin Mah Family. I was with him and Si Suk Ursula and Si Gung said that "Marcia, Julio's girlfriend, was moving into his apartment. So he couldn't be there that day ".
The first longest contact I had with Si Mo, was sitting next to her in the same Deli Restaurant. It was a Friday or Saturday night, and we were remembering the life of Patriarch Moy Yat because of his birthday, while we ate pizza.
As Si Mo entered our lives and I noticed the relationship of the two getting more and more serious, I thought to myself that moving to the U.S. should then no longer happen. After all, Si Fu now had Si Mo in his life.
Si Fu did his magic again, and like in some 80´s movie, everything works out in the end. The two married with "cinematic touches" and all the paperwork would be ready in time for Si Mo as well.

Quando dei por mim, já era dia 29 de Janeiro de 2020. Caminhava ladeado pelo meu Si Hing Leonardo Reis, seguindo de perto Si Fu e Si Mo em direção ao embarque. Todos estes e outros momentos passavam como um flash por minha cabeça enquanto andava, até que vi a loja da Kopenhagen onde havia sentado pouco mais de um ano antes também para uma despedida. Realmente, acho que nunca mais comerei nada da Kopenhagen...
Ver Si Fu passar pelo portão de embarque junto da Si Mo, me trouxe duas lições que carregarei comigo: A primeira, sobre a capacidade de realizar feitos inimagináveis de meu Si Fu e bancá-los até o final. Em segundo lugar, sobre a importância de apreciarmos cada momento possível ao lado de quem amamos. Cada segundo é importante quando se ama.
When I found myself, it was already January 29, 2020. I was walking alongside my Si Hing Leonardo Reis, closely following Si Fu and Si Mo towards boarding. Seeing Si Fu pass through the departure gate near Si Mo, brought me two lessons that I will carry with me: The first, about the ability to perform unimaginable deeds of my Si Fu and pay for them until the end. Second, about the importance of enjoying every possible moment with those we love. Every second is important when you love.

Desse primeiro registro de "
atenção cuidadosa" até a manhã de hoje, sem dúvidas a lição mais difícil de todas: Ficar longe dele.
