Na foto ao lado, eu apareço brincando de "He-Man" na antiga casa dos meus avós , onde cresci. Não consigo explicar muito bem, essa fascinação que temos quando crianças, por espadas e armas de todos os tipos. 
Mas comigo também foi assim. Era meu brinquedo favorito junto da bola de futebol, e claro: Antes do meu primeiro video-game!
O tempo passou, e já no Ving Tsun eu não pensava muito no tema. Isso porque quando comecei, vi que o Ving Tsun não possuia espadas. Apenas duas facas, e um bastão enorme , que a primeira vista para mim soou um verdadeiro trambolho...  Então pra que ligar pra eles? Mais legal era o "Boneco de Madeira"...

In the in the left, I appear playing "He-Man" in the former home of my grandparents, where I grew up. I can not explain very well, this fascination we have as children, by swords and weapons of all kinds. 
But to me it was also like this. It was my clear favorite toy along the soccer ball, and: Before my first video game! 
Time passed, and already in Ving Tsun I did not think much on the subject. That's because when I started, I saw that the Ving Tsun did not have swords. Only two knives, and a long pole, which at first sight for me sounded a real useless thing ... So I focused on the  cool "Wooden Dummy" ...



Os anos se passaram, e ao tomar contato com o bastão a primeira vez, passei a respeitá-lo. Desde a preparação para usá-lo, até seu uso em si, vi uma demanda de fibra por parte do praticante. Era o que pensava na época. 
Na segunda vez formal que tomei contato com ele, acompanhando a inteligentíssima jornada de Carlos Antunes, meu irmão Kung Fu, neste Domínio. Pude, através das grandes sacadas e performances de Carlos, ver a riqueza que estava por detrás desta arma. E pela primeira vez, tomei consciência, que na verdade para o bastão, o "Grande trambolho" deveria ser eu....rs

Years passed, and when I made contact with the long pole for the first time, I began to respect it. From preparing to use it until its use itself, I saw a demand for fiber by the practitioner. That was What I thought at the time. 
The second time I took formal contact with it, was following the highly intelligent journey of Carlos Antunes, my younger Kung Fu Brother in this domain. I could, through the large smart toughts and performances of Carlos, to see the rich practice that was behind this weapon. And for the first time, I realized that actually for the long pole, the "Useless Thing" should be me .... lol

No dia 1º de junho na cidade da Philadelphia - EUA, o clã Moy Bah Hugh  se mobilizou para celebrar o do aniversário de seu líder, Grão-Mestre Pete Pajil, bem como a sua aposentadoria.
Os dias que antecederam esse evento foram de intensas atividades que contaram com a presença de vários discípulos e Mestres de nossa linhagem.
Os principais discípulos de Grão-Mestre Moy Yat se reuniram em um seminário histórico em que cada um deles pode falar sobre as armas do Sistema Ving Tsun (Wing Chun).

On the 1st of July at the city of Philadelphia, the Moy Bah Hugh clan mobilized themselves to celebrate their lider's birthday, Grandmaster Pete Pajil, as well as his retirement.
The days before this event were filled by intense activities which counted with the presence of many disciples and Masters from our lineage.
Grandmaster Moy Yat's main disciples gathered in a historical seminar in which each could talk about the Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) System's weapons.

THE 22 YEARS OF SI FU IN KUNG FU FAMILY! (OS 22 ANOS DE SI FU NA FAMÍLIA KUNG FU!)

Nesta semana quando Si Fu completa 22 anos na Família Kung Fu, eu gostaria de falar o pouquinho que sei do “Julio Camacho”, não novamente do “Si Fu”, mas sim da pessoa que existe por detrás do termo, aquele que vi comendo hambúrguer em 1999, e hoje é apaixonado por vinho...  Não o líder de Família Kung Fu, mas do homem, pai de duas filhas , e que vive uma luta fora do Mo Gun: A luta do dia-a-dia. Como qualquer pessoa comum...

This week when Si Fu complete 22 years in Family Kung Fu, I would like to speak about what I know of the "Julio Camacho," not again the "Si Fu", but the person that lies behind the term,the one I saw eating hamburger in 1999, and today is passionate about wine ... not the leader of Family Kung Fu, but the man, father of two daughters, and the one who lives  a fight out of Mo Gun: the struggle of day-to-day. Like any ordinary person ...

“Yan”(人) significa “ser humano” em cantonês. Dialeto do sul da China onde o Ving Tsun nasceu.  A primeira vez que de fato descobri que o Si Fu era um ser humano, foi quando no “amigo oculto” de 1999, eu tirei a sua filha mais velha Jade Camacho. Eu não sabia quem era a Jade, sabia apenas que era uma menina de 2 anos. Eu só não entendia porque ela estava participando do amigo oculto. 
Comprei pra ela um chaveiro do “Pokemon” e uma caneta da “Sailor Moon” . E só descobri quem era, quando cheguei no Mo Gun. Mas não fiquei para o amigo oculto para entregar... Mas a partir dali, sabia que Si fu tinha uma filha...
Acontece que em 2001 Si Fu estava no Mo Gun e alguém perguntou sobre a Jade. Ele sentava numa cadeira de onde podia ver todos praticando. Eu gostava quando ele estava lá olhando, mas naquele momento, eu tive um pequeno entendimento do quanto as vezes lhe custava o tempo que nos dava. 
Si Fu respondeu que a Jade estava doente por alguma razão que não lembro. Ela estava internada no hospital se bem me lembro. O que sei é que o Si Fu respondeu que estava sem dormir há 4 noites indo e voltando de vários lugares e estando com ela.

"Yan" (人) means "human being" in Cantonese. Dialect of southern China where the Ving Tsun was born. The first time I actually found that Si Fu was just a human being, was during a play in 1999 for exchange gifts between KF Family near Christmas. I took her eldest daughter's name as "secret friend": Jade Camacho. I did not know who Jade was, just knew she was a 2 year old girl. I just do not understand why she was participating of the "secret friend". 
I bought her a keychain from "Pokemon" and a pen from "Sailor Moon". And just found out who she was when I arrived in Mo Gun. But I was not there in person to deliver at the moment of the play ... But from there, I knew he had a daughter  ... 
It turns out that in 2001 Si Fu was in Mo Gun and someone asked about Jade. He sat in a chair where he could see everyone practicing. I liked when he was there looking, but at that moment, I had a little understanding of how much time he gave to us cost for him at the time.
Si Fu said that Jade was sick for some reason I do not remember. She was at the hospital if I remember correctly. What I know is that Si Fu said he had not slept for 4 nights going back and forth to various places and being with her. 

Si Fu torce para o Fluminense, mas comigo ele nunca falava de futebol. Quase sempre via a Jade de uniforme completo, já que ela gostava tanto de jogar futebol. E aí eu deduzi o time dele.

Si Fu likes Fluminense Football Club, but with me he never talked about football. But I Almost always saw Jade in full uniform of Fluminense, since she was so in love for playing football. And then I figured his team also.

Tempos depois eu liguei pra ele e perguntei se poderia conversar sobre um assunto sério. Ele me convidou para ir até a sua casa tomar café a tarde. Chegando lá, em seu saudoso prédio verde nem Jacarepaguá, ele me recebeu e quando entrei vi a Jade brincando com alguma coisa. O Si fu estava descalço mas com o antigo uniforme preto da Moy Yat Ving Tsun. 
Falamos sobre o assunto em questão, e de repente ele interrompeu para brincar com a Jade. Eu acabei tendo que brincar também. Eu não sei se era timido, muito sério ou apenas chato. Mas pra mim ver o Si Fu fazendo caras e bocas brincando de luta com a Jade era uma novidade, eu devo admitir que fiquei meio sme jeito...

Years later, I called him and asked if I could talk about a serious matter. He invited me to go to his house to have some coffee with him in the afternoon. 
Arriving there in his former green building in Pau Ferro Road where he used to live, he greeted me when I entered and I saw Jade playing with something. The Si fu was barefoot but with the old black uniform of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun. 
We talked about the issue at hand, and suddenly he stopped to play with Jade. I ended up having to play too. I do not know if I was just shy, serious or just an annoying boy. But for me to see  Si Fu making faces and play fighting with Jade was news for me...

Finalmente, dois anos depois disso, soube pela primeira vez que Si Fu estava passando por um momento financeiro difícil. 
Na verdade ele não me disse nada, eu soube porque ele chegou a ficar sem celular numa época. O que sempre me espantava, era observar que ele sempre se mantinha o mesmo. E cada vez que eu ouvia de relance algo pelo qual ele estava passando, eu simplesmente não podia acreditar...
Ele havia aberto o “Estúdio Barra” junto do Núcleo Jacarepaguá, havia se mudado para o Recreio, e as despesas cresceram muito. Lembro dele falar com alguém que pedira a Jade para evitar despesas. Jade tinha apenas 7 anos. Mas lembro dele dizer: “Eu prefiro deixar ela participar desde pequena. Quando ela vai na piscina ela já não pede mais nada da lanchonete de lá.”
Num certo dia que estava num outro momento difícil, Si Fu me convidou para dormir em sua casa pela primeira vez. Entramos em seu carro e ele disse: “Pereira, vai falando já qual é o tema, porque até me ajuda. Eu estou com muito sono, e assim não durmo dirigindo”.
Quando ele me disse isso, lembrei de seu porteiro do prédio verde em Jacarepaguá, que uma vez perguntou: “O senhor não trabalha né?” . Isso porque Si Fu ia e vinha do Mo Gun que era bem perto. E talvez para o porteiro, quem trabalha é quem saia de manhã e voltava a noite. E Si Fu não fazia isso..rsrs
Pobre Si Fu! No Mo Gun todos acham que ele não tinha vida fora dali. Era um super-herói! E fora dele, achavam que ele não trabalhava. rsrs
Naquela noite, Jade não estava em casa. Mas pude sentar à mesa com Si Fu pela primeira vez, e a comida lembro bem, era ovo frito. Eu meti o garfo no prato e comecei a comer antes de todos. Ele perguntou sorrindo: “Tá com fome Thiago?” . Eu na hora, lembrei que a etiqueta do Kung Fu me ensinara a deixar o Si Fu comer primeiro. Assim, mesmo em sua casa sem camisa e relaxado, Si Fu não deixava de ser o Si fu.
Eu me impressionei. Achei que ele tivesse alguma dieta especial, mas ele comia a mesma coisa que eu...
Minha fantasia sobre o que ele comia só tomou forma novamente, quando pouco tempo depois fazendo compras com ele na antiga Sendas da Taquara, ele pegou uma caixa de Muslix e perguntou:
-Já ouviu falar disso?
-Não – respondi.
-Sabe que os nórdicos por causa das intempéries muitas vezes passavam meses comendo grãos durante o inverno. Esse Muslix é baseado nisso. Eu só como isso a noite. 
Já no carro, subindo a saudosa rua de paralelepípedos em frente ao Mo Gun da Nelson Cardoso ,Si fu continuou:
- Ou eu como Muslix ou sopa. Sabe que não se pode comer carne a noite né?
-Não  - respondi. – Por que? 
- Porque o seu organismo fica a noite toda digerindo a carne. Assim, a energia que você recuperaria durante a noite, você gasta pra digestão. E aí acorda cansado.
Eu achei aquilo o máximo. E nos dois anos seguintes, comia apenas Muslix todos os dias. Dois anos depois comentei com Si Fu:
-Eu ainda como Muslix até hoje!
-O que é isso? – Respondeu ele sinceramente.
-Ué? Não lembra? Os nórdicos, os grãos... O senhor disse nas Sendas....
-Não lembro de nada disso Pereira – Respondeu ele sinceramente se esforçando pra lembrar.
Então eu finalmente parei de comer Muslix.....rsrs  -_- ‘

Então, um dia estava praticando no Núcleo da Nelson Cardoso, e alguém comentou do Si fu estar para ser pai novamente. Ele riu e disse sarcasticamente: “A situação tá boa né? Nada melhor do que ter mais um filho!” e sorriu. Ele estava brincando . A situação ainda estava difícil. Mas ele não parava de olhar pro lado positivo das coisas...
Jade já estava ficando uma mocinha, e a minha brincadeira preferida para irritá-la , que era fingir que eu era mudo, não funcionava mais... 
Assim, certa vez , estava falando de algum tema mais contundente com Si fu, e ele me disse algo que nunca me esquecerei. Comentou que se um dia algo lhe acontecesse, que queria que eu cuidasse da Jade. 
Eu era apenas um moleque. Tanto no aspecto, quanto na atitude aquela altura. Mas mesmo sem entender o significado daquele momento enquanto ele acontecia. Por saber quem ele era, e o que ele entendia por “cuidar”, eu aceitei aquilo como uma missão pra vida toda. Sem pestanejar.

Finally, two years after that, I first learned that Si Fu was going through a difficult financial time. Actually he did not say anything to me, I knew was without even a mobile-phone at the time. What always amazed me, it was I noted that he always remained the same. And every time I hear a glimpse of something he was going through, I just could not believe ... 
He had opened the "MYVT Barra School" along the "MYVT Jacarepagua School", and he had moved to the Recreio neighbourhood and expenses grew much. I remember him talking to someone that he had asked Jade to avoid expenses. Jade was only 7 years old. But I remember him saying: "I'd rather let her attend since childhood. When she goes in the pool she no longer asks nothing more of the cafeteria there. "
One day I was in another difficult time, Si Fu invited me to sleep in his home for the very first time. We went into his car and he said, "Pereira just start talking about what the subject is, because it will help me. I'm very sleepy, so I will not sleep driving. "
When he told me that I reminded his former building doorman who once asked: "You do not have a job right?". This is because Si Fu came and went from his Ving tsun School. It was pretty close to his former house. And maybe to the doorman, a person who works starts in the morning and come back at night. And Si Fu did not do that.
Poor Si Fu! In Mo Gun everyone used to think he had no life out of there. He was a superhero! And in his life,people thought he had no job lol 

That night, Jade was not at home. But I could sit at the table with Si Fu for the first time, and remember well the food was fried egg. I stuck my fork and started eating before everyone. He asked with a smile: " Thiago you are hungry?". I at the time, remembered that the Kung Fu ethics taught me to leave the Si Fu eat first. Thus, even in his home, relaxed and shirtless, Si Fu never ceased to be the Si fu. 
I was impressed. I thought he had any special DIET, but he ate the same thing I used to ... 
My fantasy about what he ate only took form again, when shortly after, we were shopping with at a supermarket and he picked up a box of Muslix Cereal and askedme: 
-Already Heard of it? 
-Not - replied. 
-You know that the Nordic because the weather often spent months eating grains during the winter. This Muslix is based on that. I just like to eat at night. 
Once in the car, up the nostalgic cobblestone street in front of the former Mo Gun, Si fu continued: 
- Or I eat Muslix or soup. You know you can not eat meat at night right? 
-Not - replied. - How come? 
- Because your body is digesting the meat all night. Thus, the energy you would recover overnight, you spend for digestion. And then wake up tired. 
I found it great! And within two years, ate only Muslix everyday. Two years later commented to Si Fu: 
'I still like Muslix up today! ' 
-What is this? - He answered honestly. 
-What? Do not remember? The Nordic people, the grains ... You said at the supermarket .... 
-Do not remember any of it  Pereira - he said sincerely striving to remember. 

So I finally stopped eating Muslix ..... lol -_- '

Then one day I was practicing at the Mo Gun, and someone commented that Si fu would be a father again. He laughed and said sarcastically: "The situation is good right? Nothing better than having another child! " And smiled. He was joking. The situation was still difficult. But he did not stop to look into the positive side of things ... 
Jade was changing into a little lady, and my favorite joke to annoy her, which was to pretend that I was dumb, no longer worked ... 
Thus, once was talking some more forceful theme with Si fu, and he told me something I will never forget. Commented that if one day something happened to him, he wanted me to take care of Jade. 
I was just a kid. Both in appearance and in attitude . But even without understanding the significance of that moment while it happened. By knowing who he was and what he meant by "take care", I took it as a mission for life. Without blinking.

Julia:

Eu estava em Magé quando Julia(foto) nasceu. Meu celular era uma porcaria e torci para que conseguisse ligar para o Si Fu. Consegui falar com ele para lhe dar os parabéns.

Quando conheci a Julia, foi amor a primeira vista. Ela era loira e muito bonitinha! rs

I was in Mage City when Julia (photo) was born. My cell phone was crap and hoped I could call Si Fu. I could talk to him to congratulate him. 
When I met Julia, it was love at first sight. She was blonde and very cute! rs

A Jade é a cara do Si Fu, mas a Julia(foto) por ser loirinha,lorinha..rs Si Fu brincava que era "filha do padeiro"..rs Sua mãe não gostava nem um pouco da brincadeira..rsrsrs Mas o Si fu já falava pra irritar..rsrs
Si Fu estava vivendo um bom momento naqueles primeiros anos da Julia.  Ele chegou a fazer algumas coisas engraçadas , como deixar o cabelo crescer e um cavanhaque também. Foi assim que ele foi ao aniversário de 1 ano da filha de Si Sok Ursula: Rebeka.

Jade had the same face of Si Fu, but Julia (photo above) for being blonde,..lol Si Fu joked that she was "baker's daughter"(*a brazilian joke) .. hehe Her mother did not like a bit of this joke. Lol 
But  Si fu already talked to annoy..lol 
Si Fu was living a good time in those early years of Julia. He even made some funny things, like letting his hair grow and also beard.

Um dia, ficamos sozinhos o dia todo no Mo Gun, ele me chamou para sair. Fomos com seu carro recém comprado até o Recreio.
Passeamos pela Info-Barra, sem comprar nada. Si Fu deve ter reparado que estranhei , e contou pra mim que certa vez ele havia feito o mesmo acompanhando o Si Gung em São Paulo. Si Fu me contou que Si Gung na ocasião disse que gostava de fazer aquilo as vezes, assim, quando queria alguma coisa, já sabia onde encontrar...

One day we were alone all day in Mo Gun, he asked me to go out with him. Went with his newly purchased car to Recreio neighbourhood.. 
We stopped at Info-Bar Mall, without buying anything. Si Fu who must have repaired I tought that  strange, told me that he had once done the same following the Si Gung in Sao Paulo. Si Fu  told me that Si gung at the time said he liked to do that sometimes, so when he wanted something, he knew where to find ...

Chegando ao Recreio, Si Fu foi até uma loja checar o valor do DVD para carros. Ele queria instalar nos fundos do carro para Julia e Jade(foto) assistirem seus programas quando estivessem no veiculo.. Na época era novidade.

No mesmo carro, estivemos parados num estacionamento de um Supermercado no bairro da Freguesia. Era Sábado a noite e alguns anos já haviam se passado. Si Fu estava conversando comigo sobre um tema importante, quando recebeu um sms pedindo que comprasse fraldas para Julia. Ele me disse : " ...Você vê, não importa o que esteja acontecendo, eu tenho que levar as fraldas pra casa. Não posso deixar minha filha sem elas..."

Arriving at Recreio,Si Fu went to a store to check the value of the DVD device for cars. He wanted to install in the back of the car to Julia and Jade (photo above) attend their cartoons when they were in the vehicle .. At the time it was new in Brazil. 
In the same car, were stopped in a parking lot of a supermarket in the my neighborhood. It was Saturday night and a few years had passed. Si Fu was talking to me about an important issue, when he received an text message asking to buy diapers for Julia. He told me: "... You see, no matter what is happening, I have to take the diapers I can not leave her without them ... "

Então , em meu ultimo momento em seu apartamento em Jacarepaguá na Estrada do Pau-Ferro. Foi no final de 2007. Meu avô estava com cancer e era um momento dificil. Liguei para ele devido a um problema de família que havia acontecido e ele me convidou para sua casa para conversar.
Chegando lá, em seu próprio apartamento, reparei que suas filhas estavam dentro do quarto, para que pudessemos ter privacidade. Tempos depois , descobri que naquela noite Julia estava com febre. Mas mesmo assim Si Fu me recebeu, e não disse nada sobre isso.

So, in my last time at his apartment in the Pau Ferro Road. It was in late 2007 My grandfather was with cancer and it was a difficult time. I called him due to a family issue that had happened and he invited me to his house to talk. 
Arriving there, in his own apartment, I noticed that her daughters were inside the room, so we could have privacy. Later, I discovered that night that Julia had a fever. But anyway Si Fu received me, and said nothing about it.

Como disse no início, “Yan”(人) significa “ser humano”, e quando já conhecia Si Fu há tempo suficiente para vê-lo não como um super-herói imbatível , ou como um mestre de filmes, e sim como um homem que vive profundos desafios como todos nós. Presenciei talvez seu momento de vida mais difícil até ali. Diferente de outras vezes, ele não estava brincando, ele não estava olhando para o lado positivo. Ele estava sério. E em sua seriedade, lembro dele dizer que independente de todas as decepções que estava vivendo, ele só não podia perder o foco de duas pessoas: Jade e Julia.

As I said earlier, "Yan" (人) means "human being", and when I knew Si Fu knew  enough time to see he was not an unbeatable superhero, or a master from the movies, but a man that lives deep challenges as we all do. Viver no "Mo Lam"(武林), o "Círculo Marcial Chinês" , não é fácil. Se eu posso contar algumas histórias minhas com Si Fu, imagine quantas histórias existem espalhadas no coração de cada pessoa que já praticou Ving Tsun sob sua tutela nesses anos. E quanto tempo isso lhe tomou.

Até hoje, quando estou muito, muito cansado mesmo ao final de uma semana, ou de um dia cheio. Lembro do Si Fu. Lembro dele falando uma vez, que se ele tinha energia para o Mo Gun, ele precisava ter energia quando chegasse em casa. 

"Quem te espera em casa, não tem culpa do dia que você teve nem se você está cansado. Por isso não tenho o direito de não dar a atenção que minha família merece"
Não lembro quando Si Fu disse isso, mas nunca mais esqueci...

Hoje, deixo aqui um registro singelo, não dos feitos de Si fu na Família Kung Fu nesses 22 anos. Mas dos seus feitos, choros, risos, decepções e alegrias invisíveis. Que nem eu nem ninguém nunca saberemos. Tudo para estar conosco.

Na cerimonia de entrega do Oscar de 2001, nunca torci tanto por um filme como para “O Tigre e o Dragão” que recebeu o Oscar, prêmio maior do cinema mundial em 4 categorias, incluindo melhor filme estrangeiro.
“O Tigre e o Dragao” representa o sucesso de um estilo de literatura baseada nas Artes Marciais chamada “Wu Xia” . Que tornou-se popular na China a partir do século IX e no mundo Globalizado no século XXI.
Meu entusiasmo por este filme está principalmente no ligado fato dele representar o sucesso da tradição como elemento de inovação.

At the ceremony of the Oscars in 2001,I  never hope  for a victory of a movie like for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" which won an Academy Award, highest award of world cinema in four categories, including Best Foreign Film. 
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" represents the success of a style of literature based on Martial Arts called "Wu Xia". That became popular in China from the ninth century and in the Globalized World in the XXI century. 
My enthusiasm for this film is mainly bound in fact it represents the successful of tradition as an element of innovation.
A inovação é muitas vezes confundida com criatividade. Porém, conforme explica o Professor Theodore Levitt, da Havard University em seu livro “Marketing for Business Growth” (Marketing para o crescimento de um Empreendimento); “A criatividade imagina coisas novas. A inovação faz coisas novas.”
Inovação é o mecanismo com o qual o seu empreendimento se identifica na mente das pessoas e estabelece sua individualidade. Na nossa área , entendo por individualidade a capacidade de um Centro de Artes Marciais distinguir-se dos demais.
Ang Lee(foto), o diretor do filme “O Tigre e o Dragão” nos ensina esta lição de modo magistral. Pode-se notar através de sua obra, que a inovação das Artes Marciais não está na técnica , mas na forma como tudo é apresentado às pessoas.
O diretor Lee é um taiwanês , formado pelas Universidades de Illinois e New York, nos EUA. Um homem que conhece bem o Ocidente e o Oriente. Ele passou sua juventude lendo “Wu Xia”. Assim, sempre foi familiarizado com as Artes Marciais e queria ser fiel as suas tradições. Mas abia que para atrair o público Ocidental, ele precisaria de ter alguns trunfos nas mãos. Chamou Chow Yun Fat e Michele Yeoh, os mais famosos atores chineses de Hollywood à época. Para as cenas de ação, contratou Yuen Woo Ping, o diretor de lutas de “The Matrix”. Na trilha musical, convidou Yo Yo Ma, famoso músico japonês.

Innovation is the mechanism with your company is identified in people's minds and establish its individuality. In our area, I understand individuality by the ability of a Martial Arts School distinguish itself from others. 
Ang Lee (photo above), the director of the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" teaches us this lesson in a masterly way. It may be noted through his work, the innovation of Martial Arts is not in technique but in how it is presented to people. 
Ang Lee is a Taiwanese director, formed by the University of Illinois and New York, USA. A man who knows the West and the East. He spent his youth reading "Wu Xia". So always been familiar with the martial arts and wanted to be faithful to its traditions. But he knew that to attract the Western public, he would need to have some trump cards in the hands. He called Chow Yun Fat and Michele Yeoh, the most famous Chinese actors in Hollywood at the time. For the action scenes, hired Yuen Woo Ping, the director of fight coreography of "The Matrix". In the soundtrack, invited Yo Yo Ma, the famous Japanese musician.

Como ele queria que as cenas de amor tivessem um apelo globalizado, James Schamus, um roteirista premiado em Cannes, foi chamado somente para escrever os diálogos que envolvessem romantismo, que não era o forte no texto original de Wang Du Lu, novela onde o filme foi baseado.
O filme transmitiu a tradição da Antiga China através dos efeitos digitalizados de ultima geração e com uma equipe de reconhecimento internacional.

As he wanted  love scenes with global appeal, James Schamus, screenwriter who won the prize at Cannes was called only to write the dialogues involving romance, which was not strong in the original text of Wang Du Lu's novel where the film was based. 
The film conveyed the tradition of ancient China through the most incredible digitalized effects and a team of international recognition in this area.

O interessante é que o filme , apesar das cenas exageradas(o diretor prefere chama-las de abstratas) honra o caminho das Artes Marciais, demonstrando que a competência emocional é o ultimo estagio a ser alcançado em sua prática, sendo este caminho expresso através da manifestação supra-racional.

What is interesting is that the film, despite the exaggerated scenes (the director prefers to call them abstract) honor the way of Martial Arts, demonstrating that emotional competence is the last stage to be reached at his practice, which is expressed through a supra-rational way .

Acredito que o futuro das Artes Marciais esteja nas mãos de profissionais que sejam filósofos pragmáticos alicerçados em fortes tradições com acesso a tecnologia de ponta.
Um filosofo pragmático é aquele que, depois de tantos motivos aparentes para desacreditar das Artes Marciais, ainda continua acreditando na força do Caminho. Ele sabe distinguir a Arte de seus praticantes. Ele tem a maturidade de perceber que quem vivifica uma arte marcial é o seu cultor. Da mesma forma como certos “cultores” banalizaram determinada arte com suas ideias deturpadas para beneficio próprio , o filosofo pragmático tem força para engrandecer a expressão da mesma arte através de um processo inverso, ou seja, desenvolvendo idéias que beneficiem a arte e seus praticantes. Em suma é um idealista porque tem um forte senso de realidade.

I believe the future of Martial Arts is in the hands of professionals who are pragmatic philosophers grounded in strong traditions with access to cutting edge technology. 
A pragmatist philosopher who, after so many apparent to discredit the Martial Arts way , is still believing in the power of the Way. He knows how to distinguish the art of its practitioners. He has the maturity to realize that whoever gives life a martial art is its cultivator. Just as certain "Cultivators" trivialized certain art with their misleading ideas for their own benefit, the pragmatic philosopher has the power to magnify the expression of the same art through a reverse process, ie, developing ideas that benefit the art and its practitioners. In short it is an idealist because he has a strong sense of reality.

As Artes Marciais são heranças ancestrais oriundas de uma época onde o conhecimento era transmitido de uma forma diferenciada de transmissão. Acreditava-se que o alto nível da expressão ocorria num estado de consciência supra-racional que deveria ser alcançado através de elementos que superassem o intelecto.

É dito que neste momento que o budismo chinês separou-se do indiano.
Através de um trabalho somato-emocional, ou seja, o cultivo da emoção através do movimento corporal , a lenda diz que os monges budistas conseguiram alcançar este estado de consciência superior.

Foi ao elaborar as frases acima que lembrei-me do nome da escola de um ex-companheiro da época em que tive a honra de praticar a arte do Karate-Do com o Grande Mestre Takeo Okuda: Mestre Carlos Rocha(foto). Na verdade, chama-lo de companheiro é quase um abuso de linguagem , uma vez que eu era apenas um adolescente iniciante quando ele era o mais avançado discípulo de Okuda Sensei da época. Sua (de Carlos Rocha) escola, tem o nome de Mushin-Kan . O termo “Mushin” e um conceito taoista (denominado Wuxin em chinês) , que poderia ser traduzido como “Não-Mente”.
Achei interessante uma expressão pouco comum servir de nome para um local. Isto reflete a visão do empreendimento, onde mostra seu compromisso com a transmissão tradicional das Artes Marciais.
A grande receptividade dessa escola por pessoas interessadas na pratica tradicional demonstra o importante papel da tradição atual e no futuro mercado das Artes Marciais.

When I was elaborating the phrases above, that I remembered the name of a former school mate of time I had the honor of practicing the art of Karate-Do with Grand Master Takeo Okuda: Master Carlos Rocha (photo above). In fact, call him comrade is almost a misnomer, since I was just a teenager when he was a the most advanced disciple of Sensei Okuda of the time. His (Carlos Rocha) school,  is called Mushin-Kan. The term "Mushin" is a Taoist concept (called Wuxin in Chinese), which could be translated as "No-Mind". 
I found it interesting an unusual expression serve as a name for a place. This reflects the view of the project, which shows their commitment to the traditional transmission of Martial Arts. 
The wide acceptance of this school for people interested in traditional practice demonstrates the important role of current and future market tradition of Martial Arts.

Na minha visita ao Mushin-Kan, conversamos sobre destacados discípulos de Mestre Okuda e o nome de Ennio Vezzulli veio a tona. Lembrei-me imediatamente dos conselhos que recebi deste grande empresário quando assumi a Federação Paulista de Kung Fu e o quanto ele me ajudou. O nome de sua empresa reflete bem seu posicionamento no mercado e seu compromisso com a qualidade: “Meikyo”.
Gosto de traduzir “Meikyo” como “Espelho brilhante”. Minha limitada compreensão entende este termo como um ensinamento filosófico que nos orienta sempre a ver nós mesmos de forma mais clara possível, possibilitando maximizar nossas qualidades e minimizar nossos defeitos.
Sem duvida , outra grande visão de um ensinamento tradicional.
No entanto , estes nomes de grande reflexão para o oriental nada diz para nossa cultura. São apenas nomes exóticos para o publico leigo. Por isso a necessidade do desenvolvimento da tecnologia apropriada para a “tradução” destes conceitos para o mercado se torna iminente. Só assim os benefícios das Artes Marciais irão de encontro as necessidades das pessoas.

In my visit to the Mu-Shin Kan We talked about prominent disciples of Master Okuda and the name of Ennio Vezzulli came to the fore. No doubt, another great view of a traditional teaching. 
However, these names of great reflection for the eastern culture nothing tells. Are just exotic names for the lay public. Hence the need for the development of appropriate technology for the "translation" of these concepts to market becomes imminent. Only then the benefits of Martial Arts are sure to meet the needs of people.

Os chamados tradicionalistas precisam entender a como encurtar a distancia entre os seus profundos ensinamentos e seu publico-alvo. Por isso é que precisam de tecnologia especializada. Considero tecnologia toda aplicação do conhecimento cientifico em determinada área.
Assim, acredito que a melhor forma de desenvolver uma tecnologia direcionada as Artes Marciais é utilizando-a para permitir que as pessoas tenham um “contato sadio” com as tradições marciais. Chamo de “contato sadio” a incorporação da essência dos ensinamentos marciais de uma forma que o praticante de artes marciais, ainda que esteja aberto a estes ensinamentos, não abra mão de sua própria cultura.

The called traditionalists need to understand how to shorten the distance between their profound teachings and their target audience. So it is in need of specialized technology. I consider as technology every application of scientific knowledge in a particular area. 
Thus, I believe the best way to develop a targeted technology to Martial Arts is using it to allow people to have a "healthy cotact" with martial traditions. I call "healthy contact" the embodiment of the essence of the martial teachings in a way that the practitioner of martial arts,do not leave  trough his way of teaching,his own culture.

Sempre costumo repetir: As Artes Marciais devem provar para a sociedade em geral sua importância de instrumento educador. Hoje, praticamente inexistem instituições que buscam desenvolver o chamado “Poder Original” , ou seja, a capacidade realizadora que deve ser despertada em cada um de nós para que possamos defender nossos valores pessoais.
Mas é importante lembrar que as Artes Marciais são apenas instrumentos para um fim maior: A vida do próprio praticante.
Precisamos trabalhar para encontrar a ponte que liga a tradição com a tecnologia . essa ponte será construída pelos filósofos pragmáticos.
Tenho esperança que você seja um deles.

I always used to repeat: Martial arts should prove to society in general its importance of educational instrument. Today, practically no institutions seek to develop the so-called "Original Power", ie the ability wich must be awakened in each of us so that we can defend our personal values​​. 
But it is important to remember that the Martial Arts are just tools for a higher purpose: A practitioner's own life.

Si Sok Leandro Godoy (foto) já foi chamado de "Leandrinho" na Família Kung Fu. Segundo Si Sok Homero Pereira que morou por alguns anos no antigo Núcleo Central da rua Julio Verne em São Paulo, o então "Leandrinho" passava algum tempo no Mo Gun com ele e outros irmãos Kung Fu nos anos 90. 
Numa dessas estadias, Si Gung , que na época segundo Si Baak Paulo Freitas era bem mais "Hardcore" do que é hoje.rs Pediu que cuidassem do Mo Gun em sua ausência. 

Si Sok Leandro Godoy (photo) has been called once  "Lil' Leandro" in Kung Fu Family. Finalmente Si Sok Homero o encontrou num pronto-socorro próximo ao Mo Gun já quase no final do dia, sentado esperando ser atendido como se nada estivesse acontecendo. Assim a fúria de Si gung foi abrandada naquele dia...

A primeira cerimônia de titulação de Mestre Sênior da MYVTMI para a 11.a geração foi um evento realizado no dia 8 de agosto, na celebração dos 26 anos de fundação da Família Moy Yat Sang.
Os primeiros nomeados foram Si Baak Anderson Maia, líder da Família Moy On Da San e diretor do Núcleo Belo Horizonte, e Si Sok Leandro Godoy, líder da Família Moy Go Chai e Diretor do Núcleo Buenos Aires.

The first ceremony of Senior Master in MYVTMI for the 11th generation was an event held on August 8, in celebration of the 26 anniversary of the Moy Yat Sang Family. 
The first named were Si Baak Anderson Maia, leader of the Moy On Da San Family and director of the MYVT Belo Horizonte School, and Si Sok Leandro Godoy, head of Family Moy Go Chai and Director of the MYVT Buenos Aires School.

O ano era 1993, eu estudava a tarde e com meus nove anos de idade, não tinha nada que eu gostasse mais, do que quando dava 11 horas da manhã e começava a passar o desenho "Denver o Dinossauro" no extinto programa "TV Colosso"! Para ficar perfeito, de vez em quando minha mãe fazia macarrão com muito , mas muito molho de tomate com ovos cozidos!

Na escola em dia de prova, quando a Tia Heloisa , Marta ou Mary entregavam as provas, era possível sentir um cheiro saudoso e forte de álcool devido ao mimeógrafo, onde as provas eram feitas...

Enquanto eu vivia no meu mundo de faz-de-conta usando roupas florescentes da "Bazooka" ou "Pakalolo", Si Gung estava bem longe, na Argentina, dando início ao que culminaria na " Primeira Cerimônia de Mestres Seniors da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence 21 anos depois....

The year was 1993, my school used to begin 1 pm and with nine years old, there was nothing I liked better than when they it was 11 am and began the cartoon "Denver the Last Dinosaur" on TV. ! To be more perfect, once in a while my mother made pasta with lots and lots of tomato sauce with boiled eggs! 
At school on exams days, when Teacher Heloisa, Marta or Mary delivered the exams papers, it was possible to feel a longing and a strong smell of alcohol due to the mimeograph, where the exams papers were made ​​... 
While I was living in my world of make-believe  Si Gung was far in Argentina, initiating what would culminate in the "First Ceremony of Seniors Masters of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence" 21 years later ....

Si Gung novamente é reportagem de capa  no mesmo mês de Março de 1992 com seu discípulo Claudio Di Renzo, só que desta vez na revista "Mundo Marcial". 

Estas duas capas históricas tem 22 anos!

Si Gung again is the cover story in the same month of March 1992 with his disciple Claudio Di Renzo, only this time in the magazine "Martial World".

Devido a grande repercussão causada , apenas um ano depois Si Gung aparece em cartaz feito em mimeógrafo no qual era anunciado o "Primeiro Seminário Aberto Para Todas as Artes Marciais" na Argentina com cobertura da Revista Mundo Marcial e apoio da Direção de Desportos, Turismo e Cultura do municipio de Zarate.

Due to the great impact caused, just a year after , Si Gung appears in a poster made in mimeograph in which was announced the "First Seminar Open For All Martial Arts" in Argentina with cover from specialized press as Magazine Martial World and support of the Directorate of Sports, Tourism and culture of the municipality of Zarate.

O seminário foi um sucesso, e como vemos nesta cópia da revista argentina "Yudo e Karate" , percebemos a grande importância de seu discípulo Claudio di Renzo nesse processo de introduzir o Ving Tsun da Linhagem Moy Yat na Argentina com grande cobertura da imprensa especializada e do Circulo Marcial Argentino.

The seminar was a success, and as we see in this copy of the Argentine magazine "Yudo And Karate", realize the great importance of his disciple Claudio di RenzoTo introduce the Ving Tsun of Moy Yat Lineage in Argentina with great coverage from the trade press and the Argentine Martial Arts Circles.

21 anos se passaram e a cerimônia citada acima do dia 8/8 foi coroada dois dias depois, quando mais de cinquenta mestres e praticantes de Kung Fu da Argentina participaram do Seminário de Muk Yan Jong, na qual os mestres Anderson Maia e Leandro Godoy foram anunciados, com a nova titulação, ao círculo marcial argentino presente.
Estiveram presentes em ambos eventos importantes membros da MYVTMI da Argentina e do Brasil, em especial, a Mestra Úrsula Lima, do Rio de Janeiro, e Mestre Celso Grande, de São Roque - SP.

21 years have passed and the ceremony quoted above was crowned two days later, when more than fifty masters and Kung Fu practitioners from Argentina participated in the Muk Yan Jong Seminar , in which the masters Anderson Maia and Leandro Godoy were announced, with the new title,for  the Argentine martial circle present there. 
Were present in both important members from MYVTMI in Argentina and Brazil, in particular, Master Ursula Lima, from Rio de Janeiro, and Master Celso Grande from Sao Roque , Sao Paulo..

O líder do Clã Moy Yat Sang, Mestre Leo Imamura, dirigiu toda a cerimônia, iniciada com uma justa homenagem ao introdutor do Ving Tsun na Argentina, Si Baak Cláudio Di Renzo(foto acima), que tornou-se discípulo do Si Gung Leo Imamura em agosto de 1990, mesmo ano que Si baak Anderson Maia tornou-se discípulo do mesmo, aqui no Brasil. A MYVT de Buenos Aires e de Belo Horizonte são, portanto, "escolas irmãs" desde o seu começo.
Os agora nomeados e reconhecidos "Senior MASTER 7.o degree" pela International MYVT Federation se juntarão aos futuros mestres seniores da MYVTMI, a serem nomeados no dia 6 de setembro, em cerimônia do Rio de Janeiro; e dia 8 de novembro, em cerimônia em Madri - Espanha. Ao todo, o líder do Clã Moy Yat Sang nomeará os primeiros oito fiéis e antigos discípulos de sua família kung fu.

The leader of Clan Moy Yat Sang, Master Leo Imamura, led the ceremony, which began with a tribute to the introducer of Ving Tsun in Argentina,Si Baak Claudio Di Renzo (photo above), who became a disciple of Si Gung Leo Imamura in August 1990, the same year as Si Baak Anderson Maia became a disciple of the same here in Brazil. The MYVT of Buenos Aires and Belo Horizonte are therefore "sister schools" since its inception. 
The now named and recognized "Senior MASTER 7 degree" by the International MYVT Federation will join the future MYVTMI Senior Masters, to be appointed on September 6, in a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro; and Nov. 8 at a ceremony in Madrid - Spain. Altogether, the leader of Clan Moy Yat Sang appoint the first eight and old faithful disciples of his kung fu family.
