Definitivamente, Kung Fu não foi pensado para crianças. Tanto é que recentemente ouvi Si Fu(foto) traduzir o ideograma "Lam"(林) que geralmente é tomado por "floresta" como "Selva". E numa "selva" você precisa estar atento a todo o momento para não morrer. Por isso, o "Mo Lam"(武林), que entendemos como "Círculo Marcial", não é um mundo para brincadeiras.

Acontece que em 1899 , o jovem Ip Kai Man foi apresentado por seu pai, Sr Ip Oi Dor ao Descendente de Ving Tsun , o Patriarca Chan Wah Shun. Chan Wah Shun, em idade avançada , usava o templo ancestral da Família Ip para a prática do Ving Tsun de sua Família Kung Fu. À época ele contava com 15 discípulos, e aceitou excepcionalmente Ip Man como o décimo sexto e último.
Chan Wah Shun por fazer uso do Ving Tsun para a educação de filhos de família prominentes de Faat Saan(Fo Shan), fez com que nossa arte se tornasse conhecida como "Siu Ye Kuen"(少爷拳). Algo como "A arte marcial dos Jovens Senhores".

"Siu Ye"(少爷) é um termo usado originalmente para se dirigir a crianças e jovens , herdeiros de famílias abastadas. "Siu"(少) significa "Jovem" . Exatamente por isso, os pais dessas crianças eram chamadas de "Lou Ye"(老爷) ou "Velho senhor" por pessoas de classes mais baixas e empregados da Família.
Ip Man foi o "Siu Ye"(少爷) ["Jovem senhor"] mais famoso da história de nossa arte.

"Siu Ye" (少爷) is a term originally used to address to children and young people, heirs of wealthy families. "Siu" (少) means "Young".Thats Exactly why the parents of these children were called "Lou Ye" (老爷) or "Old Master(Lord)" by people of lower classes and employees of the Family.
Ip Man was the most famous "Siu Ye" (少爷)["Young Lord"] in the history of our art.

Pude acompanhar há poucos dias, Si Fu coordenando uma sessão do Domínio Mui Fa Jong para seu discípulo Luciano Freitas. "Lucky" como é carinhosamente conhecido, estava com algumas dificuldades para assimilar a sequência de movimentos do boneco de madeira. E ao invés de parar ao lado e ficar ensinando um passo-a-passo. Si Fu fez os movimentos numa velocidade normal, e ao final apontou para que ele fizesse as cinco partes que mostrou. Lucky riu e foi tentar.
Si Fu comentou comigo : "Viu o que eu fiz com o Luciano? Isso se chama de "coração"( Saam 心) para "coração" (Saam 心). A gente faz uma aposta na pessoa..."

When Maicon Amaro (photo above), practitioner of the "Siu Ye Kuen" module at MYVT Meier School was trying to do the calligraphy of the term 'Yat Ji Jung Choi "(日字中拳) I remembered Si Fu.
Years ago, when I took care of the first members of this module in Meier: Lucas, Rapha and Rodrigo. I went to Si Fu one day and questioned him about the quality of the work I was doing. O papel acima é daquela noite de 2008 quando Si Fu esquematizou os 3 pilares nos quais eu poderia me apoiar para as sessões de "Siu Ye Kuen": Cultura Chinesa(Etiqueta), Prática e História.
Sendo bem honesto, naquela hora eu fiquei olhando pro papel e não me convenci. Eu estava ali buscando uma metodologia, o que fazer, qual técnica passar... E "tudo" que eu tinha era um papel.
Eu então indaguei Si Fu:
-Si Fu , o senhor não tem medo de eu estar fazendo tudo errado com eles 3? - Perguntei a ele num tom de desafio.
Si Fu manteve-se calmo, como se já esperasse aquela pergunta e disse:
- Pereira, sabe por que eu não me preocupo com o que você está fazendo com o Lucas , Raphinha e o Rodrigo ? Porque você faz as coisas com o "coração". E enquanto você fizer as coisas com o coração, eu posso ficar tranquilo.

The paper above isfrom that night in 2008 when Si Fu sketched the 3 pillars on which I could support me for sessions of "Siu Ye Kuen": Chinese Culture, Practice and History.
I'll be honest, at that time I was looking at the paper and was not convinced. I was there looking for a methodology, what to do, what technique to use ... And "everything" that I had was a paper.
I then inquired Si Fu:

Si Fu disse aquilo anos antes de dizer o mesmo sobre o que estava fazendo com Lucky. E sobre mim, Si Fu sempre diz que apesar de sempre questionar, eu acabo fazendo o que ele pede no final. Talvez por isso, por algum "Milagre do Kung Fu", essa história de "coração"( Saam 心) para "coração" (Saam 心) deve funcionar mesmo. Porque não só Lucas, Raphael e Rodrigo construíram uma bela história , como hoje Dani Eustáquio , irmão de Lucas, segue o mesmo caminho.
