"O Homem da Gaita" do filme "Era uma vez no Oeste" é um clássico! Aquele salão maltrapilho, com caras sujos e vestindo trapos. Um ventilador de teto girando lentamente sem fazer vento. Alguns homens jogam baralho e tomam cerveja choca. De repente, algum bufão entra num rompante pela portinhola do salloon e começa a criar confusão. Lá no fundo, você escuta uma gaita....   Você sabia que o bicho ia pegar! Era o homem da gaita, vendo toda a cena...

"The Man with the Harmonica" from the movie "Once Upon a Time in the West" is a classic! That ragged lounge with dirty faces wearing rags. A ceiling fan slowly working without making any wind. Some men play cards and drink old beer . Suddenly, some madman comes and kick the saloon1s door and begins to create havoc. Deep down, you hear a harmonica .... You know what comes next! He was the man of the harmonica, watching the whole scene ...

Curiosamente, o ideograma "Mun"(門) lembra as portinholas dos Sallons do Velho-Oeste. Seu significado é "porta" ou "Portal". E no Kung Fu tem um significado mais especial ainda, pois tomamos a liberdade de traduzir como "Família"

Interestingly, the ideogram "Mun" (門) reminds hatches fromSallons of the Old West. Its meaning is "door" or "gate". And for Kung Fu has a special meaning even more because we take the liberty of translating as "Family"

No caso da Família Moy Lin Mah por exemplo, liderada por Mestre Ursula Lima(foto)e seu esposo Ricardo Lopes, poderíamos escrever:"Moy Lin Mah Mun". Porque quando atravessamos um portal, sempre o fazemos com algum intuito. Nesse caso, seria o de aprender o Kung Fu.

Você pode resumir todo o filme Blade Runner(foto) em comida chinesa e chuva! Parece que o mundo virou uma grande Chinatown! Mas o Rio de Janeiro está longe disso! Achar um restaurante chinês bom por aqui, é tarefa quase impossível! Mais fácil achar um Replicante!

You can sum up the whole movie Blade Runner (photo) in Chinese food and rain! It seems that the world has turned into a large Chinatown! But in Rio de Janeiro is far from it! Find a good Chinese restaurant here, is almost impossible! It would be easier to find a Replicant!

Porém a  Família Moy Lin Mah está muito bem localizada no bairro de Copacabana, onde conta com o restaurante chinês Chou Kou, o mais tradicional do Rio fundado em 1972. 

A data do dia 03 de Fevereiro serviu não só para celebrar a chegada do ano novo chinês , mas também  a 1a cerimônia Tradicional de Hoi Kuen desta Família Kung Fu e a Inauguração do Núcleo Copacabana.

But the  Moy Lin Mah Family is very well located in Copacabana neighborhood, where it has  the more traditional Chinese restaurant in Rio called Chou Kou founded in 1972. 
The date of the day February 3 served not only to celebrate the arrival of the Chinese New Year, but also the first traditional Hoi Kuen ceremony of this Kung Fu Family and the Grand-Openning of the MYVT Copacabana School.

Si Gung costuma dizer que dois ou mais praticantes de Kung Fu juntos, não é Vida Kung Fu. Ou que apenas aquele que vivenciou esse processo, poderá prove-lo no futuro.
Mestre Ursula Lima é um grande exemplo disso. Ela o vivenciou de diferentes maneira ao longo de diferentes épocas. Teve a oportunidade de estar com os maiores nomes do Clão Moy Yat durante sua carreira, incluindo o próprio Grão-Mestre em pessoa.

Si Gung say that two or more Kung Fu practitioners together,is not  "Kung Fu Life". Or only one who experienced this process, could pass it down.
Master Ursula Lima is a great example of this. She experienced in different ways throughout different eras the KF Life.
She Had the opportunity of being with the biggest names of Moy Yat Clan during her career, including the Grand Master himself in person.

Recentemente ela esteve inclusive em Nova York para os festejos do aniversário da líder mundial de nosso Clã: Sra Helen Moy(foto) junto de seu Mestre, Leo Imamura, bem como de outros mais como Mestre Nataniel Rosa e sua esposa e Mestre Washington Fonseca.

Recently she was also in New York for the celebration of the anniversary of the world leader in our Clan: Mrs Helen Moy (photo) next to his Master Leo Imamura, as well as other more  Masters like Nataniel and his wife ,and Master Washington Fonseca.

Durante a viagem, entre um momento e outro, Mestre Ursula pode tomar contato com Mestres como o lendário Pete Pajil(foto) que é Si Hing de seu próprio Mestre.

During the trip, between one moment and another Master Ursula could make contact with Masters as the legendary Pete Pajil (photo) which is Si Hing of her own Master.

Assim, no último dia 03, foi com total propriedade que Mestre Ursula conduziu essa experiência de Vida Kung Fu , falando inclusive sobre  sobre a atenção cuidadosa à mesa. Ou seja, como a etiqueta chinesa à mesa, nos serve para o aprendizado do Kung Fu.

So, on the last Feb 03, it was with full property that Master Ursula led this experience of Kung Fu Life, including talking about on careful attention on the table. Ie, as how the Chinese table etiquette, serves us for learning Kung Fu.

Como a noite não dizia respeito apenas a celebração do Ano Novo Chinês, como dito acima, Mestre Ursula compartilhou como foi o  início do Núcleo Copacabana, citando o nome dos 5 primeiros
To dai que a acompanharam desde quando existia apenas um espaço em Ipanema até depois ser montado o Mo Gun da Família Moy Lin Mah. Os cinco primeiros foram: Marília Coló, Inêz Viegas, Caio Amado , Marcelo Pinto e Leonardo Araújo. Guilherme Farias e Luiz Ratts , ambos de outras Famílias Kung Fu, também tiveram papel fundamental nesse processo.

As the night was not just about the celebration of Chinese New Year, as stated above, Master Ursula shared how was the beginning of the MYVT Copacabana School, citing the name of the first 5 
To Dai that followed from when there was only a space in Ipanema untill the  Mo Gun of Moy Lin Mah Family  The first five were: Marilia Coló, Inez Viegas, Caio Amado, Marcelo Pinto and Leonardo Araújo. Guilherme Farias and Luiz Ratts, both from other Kung Fu Families, also played a key role in this process.

As vezes você que é de outra linhagem e lê o Blog do Pereira e deve pensar: "Pô, mas de novo Si Sok Ursula? Só tem ela na Moy Yat Ving Tsun?" 

Mas não é bem isso, Mestra Ursula Lima tem uma importância tão grande em nosso Kung Fu todos os dias, que o estranho é não citá-la ao falar de algum momento ou aventura da Família Kung Fu.

sometimes you from antoher ving tsun lineage may think: "Dude, this guy always is talking about Ursula. There is just her in MYVT?"

No man, thats not it, Master Ursula LIma(11G VT) has such an importance in our Kung Fu everyday, that is strange dont talk about her.

Foi talvez por esse motivo que ao saberem desta Cerimônia , pessoas de estados e cidades diferentes compareceram para saudá-la. Pessoas que até não treinam mais guardam em seu coração a importância de Mestra Ursula em seus sonhos de treinarem artes marciais.

Maybe thats why people from other cities and states came just to celebrate her in the day that she became the first woman Ving Tsun Master in Brazil.

Finalmente a arte fundada por uma mulher, voltaria a ter uma Si Fu. Por falar nisso, esse momento é tão sem precedentes em nosso país, que talvez você nem soubesse que Mestra Ursula também será chamada de "Si Fu", mas antes que você se desespere, seu marido Ricardo não será "Si Mo"....rs

Finally the art founded by a woman, would have again a woman as Si Fu. Talking about that, this moment is so unusual that many people would not know that even her is now called "Si Fu". But wait! her husband, Mr Ricardo will not be "Si Mo"..hehe

Mestra Ursula recebeu 3 símbolos de sua legitimidade, e um deles foi esse busto de Grão-Mestre Moy Yat.

Em 2000, o Brasil foi o primeiro país a receber esse busto das mãos do próprio Grão-Mestre como forma de assegurar a legitimidade do trabalho aqui realizado.

Master Ursula (11G VT) received 3 symbols that comproves her legitimity. One of those was the statue of late Grand-Master Moy Yat. In 2000, the Grand-Master gave one of those to Brazil to comprove the veracity of our work.

Mas Si Gung Leo Imamura comentou neste final de semana que antes não tinhamos certificados, não se tinha fotos, e a relação do Metsre e Discipulo comprovava a legitimidade de uma Família. Depois, Certificados e fotos passaram a ter esse papel. E hoje, com a facilidade de falsificação, estamos quase que voltando ao passado, onde talvez a maior prova da legitimidade de Mestra Ursula, seja a presença de seu Si Fu e Si Mo nesta e em outras fotos, bem como, das testemunhas que estiveram presentes.

But Si Gung Leo(10G VT) said that long time ago, we did not have Certificates or photos, so just the presence of your Si Fu would be sufficient to say that your Family, your work was for real. later the Certificates and photos take this job. And now , with the computers that became easier to falsificate documents, we are going back to the past where more important than papers is the presence of your Si Fu in your side.

Por falar nisso, talvez você leitor vivesse 2 vidas sem conseguir reunir tantas histórias quanto o Patriarca Ip Man.

Si Gung Leo Imamura perguntou:

"Sabe como Si Jo Ip Man mostrava que um Si Fu não era autêntico?" - continuou - "Não fazendo nada."

Talking about that, I have to say that you could live two lifes and maybe you would not have the chance to collect so many stories as Ip man.

Si Gung Leo(10G VT) said:

"Do you know what Ip man used to do when he would not recognize a man as a Si Fu?" - he said- "He used to not do anything."

Segundo Si Gung, Ip Man simplesmente ignorava de maneira sutil tais Mestres. Não indo em suas festas de aniversário por exemplo. O que demonstrava que ele não os reconhecia como Si Fu.

A importância de Ip Man era grande no circulo marcial, e sua presença num evento desses muitas vezes asseguraria uma condição de uma pessoa que não merecia.

As Si Gung Leo(10G VT) said, Ip Man just ignored a man when he did not want to recognize him as a Si Fu. For example, he used to did not go to a Si Fu birthday party when he knew that this guy was not a Si Fu. Thats because Ip man´s presence sometimes was sufficient to certificate a Family.

Flavio Caxiano(11G VT) is a disciple of Si Gung Leo(10G VT) and Si Taai Vanise(10 G VT). He was the locutor during the Ceremony.

A filha de Mestra Ursula, Rebeka Lima Lopes, cresce rapido demais. E esteve presente na Cerimônia praticamente como comentarista em alguns momentos de silêncio absoluto onde se ouvia: "Mamãe!"

Rebeka is the daughter of Master Ursula. And she was there too !

meu Si Fu(a esquerda) se emocionou demais. Após mais de uma década cuidando diretamente do Kung Fu de sua irmã Kung Fu mais nova(Si Mui) Ursula Lima representando seu Si Fu que vive em São Paulo, sentiu a emoção de ter feito parte dessa história.

My Si Fu Julio Camacho(11G VT) was very touched 'cause he was responsible for her Kung Fu as their Si Fu, Si Gung Leo(10G VT) lives in São Paulo State. So he was touched to see his Si Mui(young kung fu sister) becoming a Master.

Minha Si Mo Daniela Camacho abraça forte Mestra Ursula. Esse foi o dia das mulheres...

E mais um abraço. Desta vez Si Sok abraça sua Si Mo, Sra. Vanise Imamura.

Si Taai Vanise comentou sua felicidade por ver sua discipula chegando a este patamar no Ving Tsun. Disse que para ela era como se visse uma filha realizando algo que nem mesmo ela realizou...

Her Si Mo, Ms. Vanise Imamura, said that she was happy 'cause was like if a daughter had reached a place in Ving tsun that even her could reach.

Mestre Anderson Maia tem poderes de regeneração epitelial sobrenaturais, e por isso nunca envelhece. Mas fora esse poder, ele é o membro mais antigo do Conselho de Mestres da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. E assim deu as boas-vindas a Mestra Ursula.

Master Anderson Maia(11G VT) has a supernatural regeneration power, so thats why he never gets old.Besides that he is the oldest Master in MYVT Martial Intelligence in Brazil. So he welcomes Master Ursula to the council. 

Se eu fico aqui falando de Rocha Miranda sempre que dá(bairro da Zona norte do Rio), o que dizer de Ricardo Lopes e sua Realengo?

If I always talk about my childhood neighborhood Rocha Miranda(in north zone of Rio) what to say about Mr. Ricardo Lopes and his Realengo neighborhood?

O maior teste para saber se a pessoa é fanática pelo seu bairro de infância, é deixá-la ouvir a musica "Meu Lugar" de Arlindo Cruz. Se ela ficar comparando a letra ao seu bairro dizendo: "Isso é Costa Barros purinho!" ou tentando encaixar o nome de seu bairro no refrão ainda que a musica fale de Madureira, ela faz parte deste time!rs

 If you want to know that a man that lives in Rio misses his childhood neighborhood in North Zone, you only have to play the music "Meu Lugar"("My place") by Arlindo Cruz, that talks about "Madureira" the greatest and most famous neighborhood of north zone of Rio and see if the guy starts to sing togheter trying to change the lirycs when Arlindo sings "Madureira" in the chorus for his neighborhood name.. lol;

 E foi exatamente o homem apaixonado por Realengo e principalmente marido de Mestra Ursula Lima o responsável por alguns dos momentos mais emocionantes naquela noite.

Si Gung Leo Imamura comentou que, se muitas vezes é dificil para os pais entenderem a dedicação de seus filhos ao Ving Tsun, quiçá os companheiros.

And was the man in love for Realengo neighborhood and also husband of Master Ursula, Mr. Ricardo Lopes, the responsible for some of the most emotional moments, everyone cryed with him when he talked about the love of his life: master Ursula.

E realmente ver o Ricardo chorando foi muito tocante, e uma grande lição para todas as companheiras lá presentes. Tenho certeza.

And see Ricardo crying was very touching, and a great lesson for all wifes and husbands of Ving Tsun practitioners.

O grande lance da cultura chinesa implicita no Ving Tsun é "enxergar o invisivel"...

E por mais que para alguns o Jiu Pai seja uma placa que você aí, neste exato momento pode mandar fazer, quando ele vem de verdade, quando ele vem de forma legitima ele tem um peso maior do que se fosse de ouro.

Por mais que eu conheça a Mestra Ursula, por mais que eu estivesse lá e entenda minimamente o que representa este momento para nós e para ela, posso te garantir que o que ela viu nessa foto, só ela viu. 

É enxergar o invisivel literalmente...

One of the great points of the Ving Tsun is "to be capable to see the invisible"...

and even knowing Master Ursula and also knowing the importance of this moment. Only her saw something in that Jiu Pai that no one else could see.
