In this great success of the late 80s, Chow Yun Fat plays Ko-Chun, considered the greatest "gambler"  on the planet, being called by many the "God of Gamblers".

He keeps his identity a secret, and never allows himself to be photographed. The only information about his appearance is the jade ring on his little finger and his hair, always carefully combed back with gel.

Making use of his characteristic charm that raised him to stardom added to this body language created by him for the character, Chow Yun Fat immediately makes you want to be part of that world of gambling of the most different types. Andy Lau é uma estrela pop intocável de Hong Kong, sendo um veterano da indústria da música e do cinema. Joey Wong, com sua beleza diferenciada e carisma, disputava os holofotes da década de '80 com outra beldade: Maggie Cheung. 

Acontece que o personagem de Chow Yun Fat [foto] acaba perdendo a memória em determinado momento do filme, fazendo com que esse núcleo formado por ele, Andy Lau e Joey Wong, transforme o filme em uma espécie de comédia. É como se por 30 minutos o filme mudasse de gênero. Somado a isso, o próprio humor do cinema de Hong Kong da década de '80, não é de fácil entendimento para o espectador ocidental. 

The film also features the outstanding presence of superstar Andy Lau and the beautiful Joey Wong. Andy Lau is an untouchable pop star from Hong Kong, being a veteran of both the music and film industry. Joey Wong, with her distinctive beauty and charisma, competed for the spotlight in the '80s with another beauty: Maggie Cheung.

It turns out that the character of Chow Yun Fat [photo] ends up losing his memory at a certain point in the film, making this nucleus formed by him, Andy Lau and Joey Wong, transform the film into a kind of comedy. It's as if for 30 minutes the film changed genres. Added to that, the very humor of Hong Kong cinema in the 1980's, is not easy for the western spectator to understand.

Foi necessário apenas um ano para que o genio da comédia do cinema de Hong Kong Stephen Chow[foto sentado ao centro], fizesse uma paródia do filme chamada “All for the winner”[Dou Sing 賭聖].  Stephen Chow interpreta um jovem que vem do interior da China continental para viver com seu tio Blackie Tat em Hong Kong. Seu tio é interpretado pelo seu grande parceiro no cinema, o já falecido ator Ng Man-tat. Stephen Chow e Ng Man-tat eram como o Bud Spencer e o Terence Hill de Hong Kong. Acontece que a genialidade de Stephen Chow vai muito além, quando ele faz o trocadilho no título do filme, usando ideogramas que tenham uma sonoridade parecida com o do original de 1989, mas que ao mesmo tempo, façam menção ao seu nome. Ou seja:  Dou San 賭神 [God of Gamblers, 1989] tornou-se Dou Sing 賭聖 [All for the winner, 1990] sendo que o nome chines de Stephen Chow é 周星馳 [Chow Sing Chi]. 

It only took one year for Hong Kong film comedy genius Stephen Chow [photo above sitting center], to make a parody of the film called “All for the winner” [Dou Sing 賭聖]. Stephen Chow plays a young man who comes from the countryside of mainland China to live with his uncle Blackie Tat in Hong Kong. His uncle is played by his great partner in the cinema, the late actor Ng Man-tat. Stephen Chow and Ng Man-tat were like the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill of Hong Kong. It turns out that Stephen Chow's genius goes much further, when he makes the pun in the film's title, using ideograms that sound similar to the 1989 original, but which, at the same time, mention his name. That is: Dou San 賭神 [God of Gamblers, 1989] became Dou Sing 賭聖 [All for the winner, 1990] and Stephen Chow's Chinese name is 周星馳 [Chow Sing Chi].

O sucesso da paródia “All for the winner”[Dou Sing 賭聖] de 1990 foi tamanho, que algo incrível aconteceu! Stephen Chow [foto] que interpretou o rapaz inocente do interior da China continental com poderes paranormais para jogos de apostas[muitos risos], foi convidado para a franquia original no lugar de sua estrela principal no mesmo ano “God of Gamblers 2”. Além disso, ainda participaria de um terceiro filme da franquia original “God of Gamblers 3” em 1997. 

The success of the 1990 parody “All for the winner”[Dou Sing 賭聖] was such that something incredible happened! Stephen Chow [photo] who played the innocent boy from mainland China's countryside with paranormal powers for gambling [lots of laughter], was invited to the original franchise in place of its main star in the same year's “God of Gamblers 2”. In addition, he would still participate in a third film in the original franchise “God of Gamblers 3” in 1997.
