of the ideograms "Gung Zin 弓箭", literally "bow and arrow")
I had been looking for a tattoo for over ten years, but I could not decide which I should do. Many drawings and different meanings went through my head, but for something as important as "tagging" your body for the rest of your life, it should not be anything.
Finally in 2018, Si Fu made two ideograms on a napkin of our beloved Benkei restaurant at Barra Shopping during a dinner on a Saturday night that would be marked forever on me as my first tattoo. And it could not be more special.

Living with Si Fu since I was 15 years old, today with 36 years old, I can say that he is more than my Si Fu. It's a figure I've been trying hard to mirror all these years. But mostly a person who helped me forge the man I became and who I become every day.
Si Fu has some tattoos on his body, all of them meticulously thought out, designed and executed.

There is an ideogram that says "Si" (士) in the Cantonese dialect or "Shi" in Mandarin. This ideogram among many things refers basically to a "scholar". I can say that Si Fu possesses the qualities inherent in this ideogram. That's because every year that passes, I see Si Fu seeking to get more out of the obvious and understand more deeply the smallest of things.
He would have said a few times, that a mark of the Moy Yat Lineage, is an in-depth study on the subjects with which we deal.

I remember clearly when the book "The Da Vinci Code" arrived in the old MYVT Jacarepaguá School, and Si Fu was very excited to tell the audience about how excited he was about the future reading - "I always liked these topics related to secret societies and symbols! " he said in a grin. More than ten years later, when he got into my car, he found a "Star Wars" book of mine. It was a written version of the movie "The Last Jedi", my favorite one. Si Fu looked at the book, he looked at me and asked, "What is this?" - After explaining to him, he asked, "And what are you reading this book for?" - I explained to him that the book focused on my a favorite character in the Star Wars universe who was Luke Skywalker. Si Fu asked another question: "And why is he your favorite?" - I said that Luke's life was full of hardship, loss, suffering, and yet he always found a way to move on. Si Fu grinning in an ironic gesture of astonishment finally asked, "And this is your hero?" - We both laughed and I said, "Actually it's Conan and Thor!" - Si Fu left the book and said at last: "Well ... Lets go !"

Si Fu's pursuit of excellence inspires his followers who, like me, try to do everything with art, even if we are not always successful. But it was this quest for excellence, which made me think very clearly before standing in front of the incredible tattooist I found called Matheus outside the city of Rio.

I heard from Si Gung, that the weapon that best symbolized the Chinese strategy was the "bow and arrow". That phrase intrigued me deeply, so deeply, that I can not even remember where I was and in what context I heard this statement from him. However, I remember what he said next: "... Exactly because this weapon works best when it relaxes ... It is when the tension ends that the arrow shoots No other weapon is capable of this ... To reach its maximum, exactly when you stop being stressed and relaxed ... "
Exatamente "arco e flecha"
With the presence of my disciple Cayo Cesar and my girlfriend Valéria (PHOTO), we went to this remote city and met the tattoo artist. I asked him to write the ideograms (弓箭) that says "Gung Zin" in the Cantonese dialect and "Gōng Jiàn" in Mandarin. Exactly "bow and arrow".
Throughout my history, I have been very scared on several occasions. The "Fear," according to Si Gung, is circumstantial. Since this bothered me, I decided I wanted to be "fearless," regardless of the circumstances. And when we do not hear reality, we end up "forcing", "disrespecting," "stressing," or simply spending nonsense energy. All of this, because when we do not hear reality, we force our will into reality ... And that's all but the "Chinese Strategic Thinking."
Maybe that's why this tattoo that I wear today with Si Fu's handwriting has come to me with such certainty and clarity after so many years of deciding.
At this point in my life, I think of refining more and more what is not refined. Understand that "doing something by force of will" has no more space, or maybe, never had. To understand that to follow someone who carries the qualities of a scholar like Si Fu, is to seek to evolve as he and with him. And that there is a rude form (力 Lik) of doing things and another form, a worked form (功 Kung). However, there is one last, one that I aim to achieve one day ... A refined form (勁 Ging). And the idea of relaxing to give a single shot at the right time, I was deeply enchanted ... But this is the type of message, which needs to be "tattooed" mainly from the inside.
