Todos do círculo marcial chinês do Brasil conhecem a Mestra Senior Ursula Lima. Nos últimos dias, membros da sociedade em geral, puderam também ouvir um pouco mais da primeira Mestra de Ving Tsun da América do Sul através de uma série de aparições públicas. E em uma destas participações na mídia, Mestra Ursula foi entrevistada pela proficiente apresentadora brasileira Gardenia Cavalcanti, no programa  “Vem com a Gente”.

Gardenia Cavalcanti comanda esta atração no canal de TV brasileiro Bandeirantes. O programa tem uma pegada  leve e descontraída, e não foi diferente no dia em que uma das Mestras de Kung Fu mais famosa do planeta, fez sua participação. 

No texto abaixo, um aluno da Mestra Ursula Lima que a acompanhou na ocasião, compartilha sua visão e aprendizado sobre este processo tão significativo que viveu com sua mentora. 

Num momento em que se torna fundamental o reconhecimento da importância das mulheres em diferentes setores de trabalho pela sociedade brasileira. Mestra Ursula Lima e Gardenia Cavalcanti, servem como exemplo de que tudo é possível fazer com arte: Inclusive, ser um entrevistado ou um entrevistador.

Everyone from the Chinese martial arts circles in Brazil knows Senior Master Ursula Lima. In recent days, members of the general society  were also able to hear a little more of South America's first Ving Tsun Master through a series of public appearances. And in one of these media appearances, Master Ursula was interviewed by the proficient Brazilian tv host Gardenia Cavalcanti, on the show “Vem com a Gente”.

Gardenia Cavalcanti runs this attraction on the Brazilian TV channel Bandeirantes. The show has a light and relaxed feel, and it was no different on the day one of the most famous Kung Fu Masters on the planet made her appearance.

In the text below, a student of Master Ursula Lima who accompanied her on the occasion, shares his vision and learning about this very significant moment that he lived with his mentor. 

At a time when society's recognition of the importance of women in different aspects is increasingly important, Master Ursula Lima and Gardenia Cavalcanti serve as an example that everything is possible to do with art: Including being an interviewee or an interviewer.

Bastidores de algo maior.

[Behind the scenes of something bigger. ]

Durante momentos de prática e de Vida Kung Fu que já tive com minha Si Fu, a Mestra Sênior Ursula Lima, já ouvi ela falar várias vezes sobre a capacidade de “ver o invisível”, ou seja, enxergar os detalhes ocultos das coisas e das relações. E, por ela ter me convidado para acompanhá-la em sua participação no programa Vem com a Gente, da Band, eu pude ver de perto pela primeira vez um pouco do “invisível” que compõe um programa de TV.

During moments of practice and Kung Fu Life I've had with my Master Ursula Lima, I've heard her talk several times about the ability to “see the invisible”, or that is, seeing the hidden details of things and relationships. And because she invited me to accompany her on her participation in the Band Channel's 'Come with us' show, I could see up close for the first time a little of the “invisible” that makes up a TV show.

Na ocasião, minha Mestra foi convidada para falar sobre superação, e durante o programa mostrou sua visão sobre como o Ving Tsun pode ajudar as pessoas a superarem as guerras que enfrentam todos os dias. Em um misto de entrevista com conversa descontraída, a apresentadora Gardenia Cavalcanti conduziu o tema entre a Mestra Ursula e o outro convidado, o ator Marcos Oliveira, finalizando com uma refeição preparada por um chef durante o programa.

At the time, my Master was invited to talk about overcoming difficulties, and during the program showed her insight into how Ving Tsun can help people overcome wars they face every day. In a mix of an interview with a relaxed conversation, the host Gardenia Cavalcanti conducted the theme between Master Ursula and the other guest, the actor Marcos Oliveira, ending with a meal prepared by a chef during the show.

Eu, como convidado da Si Fu, pude ficar nos bastidores assistindo o programa junto com a sua assessora e meu Si Hing André Vilarreal. Foi muito interessante poder perceber quantos detalhes, grandes e pequenos, que geralmente não notamos quando estamos do outro lado da tela, precisam estar preparados e em sintonia para o programa fluir adequadamente, como o roteiro, a distribuição das câmeras, o cenário, os momentos de pausa… antes, durante e depois da gravação muita coisa pode mudar, principalmente por ser um trabalho com pessoas e para pessoas.

As a guest of my Master, I was able to stay backstage watching the program together with the show's producer and my practicing partner André Vilarreal. It was very interesting to be able to see how many details, big and small, that we usually don't notice when we're in the on the other side of the screen, they need to be prepared and in tune for the program to flow properly, such as the script, the distribution of cameras, the setting, the moments of pause… before, during and after recording a lot can change, mainly because to be a work with people and for people.

Indo embora e seguindo para o Núcleo Copacabana após o fim das gravações, pensei sobre os reflexos que a divulgação audiovisual pode trazer, como já aconteceu em grandes proporções na nossa arte anteriormente, com Bruce Lee e o cinema por exemplo. É fácil associar os reflexos às conquistas de um artista marcial, quando pensamos na antecipação, na execução e na reflexão que seu processo gera para si mesmo e para outros que enxergam o oculto de suas ações. E estar em uma Família Kung Fu, para mim, é sempre como estar nos bastidores de algo maior

Leaving and heading to MYVT Copacabana School after the recording was over, I thought about reflexes that audiovisual dissemination can bring, as has already happened in large proportions in our art before, with Bruce Lee and cinema for example. It's easy to associate the reflexes to the achievements of a martial artist, when we think about anticipation, execution and reflection that your process generates for yourself and for others who see the hidden of your actions. And being in a Kung Fu Family, for me, is always like being behind the scenes of something bigger
