The Forty Five Ceremony Of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family(A QUADRAGÉSIMA QUINTA CERIMÔNIA DA FAMÍLIA MOY JO LEI OU)

Eu sempre gostei de desenhar, e sempre gostei de escrever. E acho que tudo começou em 1993, quando assisti pela primeira vez o filme "O Rei dos Kickboxers"(King of Kickboxers,1990) e fiquei alucinado! Vi e revi o filme milhões de vezes, até que inconformado com a ausência de uma continuação, criei minha primeira historinha baseada no filme (desenho acima) chamada "The Story of Nixe". 
Nela, Nixe , um jovem kickboxer, viajava pelo mundo lutando contra os guerreiros mais fortes. E esses guerreiros incluiam qualquer personagem que eu achasse interessante na época, como o Scorpion, do recém-lançado jogo Mortal Kombat...rs

I always liked to draw, and always enjoyed writing. And I think it all started in 1993, when I first saw the movie King of Kickboxers(1990) in our old VCR and It hit me in the heart! I saw and reviewed the movie a million times until unhappy with the lack of a sequel, I created my own story based on the movie (drawing above) called "The Story of Nixe". 
In it, Nixe, a young kickboxer, travels the globe fighting the strongest warriors. And these warriors included any character that I found interesting at the time, as  Scorpion, from the recently released Mortal Kombat game ... lol

Essa semana me emocionei de verdade, ao ponto de quase chorar, ao ver o poster publicado pelo próprio Loren Avedon(foto), ator principal de "O rei dos Kickboxers" e hoje um bom amigo de internet, de quando saiu na "Fighter´s Magazine". Era inacreditável, mas na hora me veio a cabeça meu personagem Nixe, com sua sua roupa azul, e seu cabelo com mullets!!! Como se eu tivesse advinhado! 
Pensei no meu sonho na época de rodar o mundo lutando, e hoje, com 30 para 31 anos, não consegui isso... Mas algo muito maior aconteceu na minha vida...

Last week , something really touched me to the point of almost crying, seeing the poster published by Loren Avedon (photo)himself, lead actor in "The King of the Kickboxers" and today a good friend of the internet, when he posed for "Fighter 's Magazine " poster. It was unbelievable, but Nixe´s stories came to head! My character Nixe, with his blue outfit  and hos hair with mullets! As if I had guessed! 
I thought in my dream at the time of running the world fighting, and today, with 30 to 31 years old, it is something that will not happen... But something much bigger happened in my life ...

André Almeida foi o primeiro a chegar naquele dia ao Núcleo Méier para preparar o Mo Gun para mais uma Cerimônia de nossa Família Kung Fu. Na qual Joelson Junior receberia a autorização para acessar o Domínio Cham Kiu.
Membros da Família como Luiz Carlos(foto ao fundo) chegaram mais cedo para ajudar.

André Almeida was the first to arrive that day to the MYVT Meier School to prepare for another ceremony of our Kung Fu Family. In which Joelson Junior would receive authorization to access the Domain Cham Kiu.

O Mo Gun estava cheio de membros da Família Kung Fu, bem como, membros do VT Experience que presenciavam pela primeira vez uma Cerimônia Tradicional.
Desta vez, não era qualquer uma. Pois finalmente teríamos uma Cerimônia com apenas um praticante e preparada inteiramente por ele com a ajuda de seus Si Hings e Si Dais.

The Mo Gun was full of members of the Kung Fu Family, as well as members of the VT Experience were watching for the first time a Traditional Ceremony. 
This time was not any. But finally we would have a ceremony with just a practitioner and fully prepared for it with the help of his Si Hings and Si Dais.

Naquela noite chuvosa no bairro do Méier, Pedro Ivo, vestindo vermelho e preto de pé ao fundo, foi o coordenador da Cerimônia. Ele fez a abertura falando aos presentes um pouco do que aconteceria ali na sequência.
Ver o Mo Gun assim cheio, é sempre bom. Isso porque me faz lembrar de quando ele está vazio. E mais ainda...

That rainy night in the neighborhood of Meier, Pedro Ivo, wearing red and black standing in the background, was the coordinator of the ceremony. He made the opening speec to the present people about what would happen there. 
See the Mo Gun so full, it's always good. Because it reminds me of when it is empty. And more ...

...Quando nem Mo Gun tinhamos por mais de 3 meses no Méier, e usamos desde a garagem de Felipe Mury(foto), até escritórios e residências de praticantes.

When neither had a Mo Gun.... And for more than three months in Meier neighborhood, we used the garage of Felipe Mury (photo). Also offices and homes of practitioners.

Por vezes, simplesmente nos encontrávamos em restaurantes(foto) para não deixarmos de nos encontrarmos ao menos uma vez na semana . Fosse para prática, fosse para Vida Kung Fu.
Em alguns momentos, tinha a impressão que tudo iria se desfazer como poeira no vento...

Sometimes we simply met each other in restaurants (photo) to not fail to meet at least once a week. At least for KF Life. 
In some moments, I had the impression that everything would discard as dust in the wind ...

Uma vez, o Mestre Qualificado e Diretor do Núcleo Europa da Moy Yat Ving Tsun, meu Si Sok Marcelo Navarro, que na foto acima aparece sendo abraçado pelo meu Si Fu. Me disse enquanto almoçavamos, durante um período que passamos juntos durante quatro dias na Casa dos Discípulos em São Paulo em espanhol com português: "Thiago, Mo Gun, no es sólo el espacio físico. ¿Eres tú el  Mo Gun. Cuando no hay un ambiente adecuado.Cuando tu esta en frente de la persona interesada en el aprendizaje de Ving Tsun, tiene que ser tu mismo el  Mo Gun ".

Once ,the Qualified Master and Director of the MYVT Europe School , my Si Sok Marcelo Navarro, who appears in the photo above being hugged by my Si Fu. Told me while we were having lunch, during a period spent together for four days in the House of Disciples in Sao Paulo trough his native Spanish language : "Thiago, Mo Gun, no es sólo el espacio físico. ¿Eres tú el  Mo Gun. Cuando no hay un ambiente adecuado.Cuando tu esta en frente de la persona interesada en el aprendizaje de Ving Tsun, tiene que ser tu mismo el  Mo Gun "

Por isso, quando André (de pé) começou a falar sobre o quanto Joelson Jr fazia uma grande diferença no Mo Gun quando está desembarcado, já que trabalha numa plataforma, e do quanto sua falta será sentida ao embarcar novamente. Várias imagens me vieram a cabeça...

Si Fu ouviu junto de nós as palavras de André e seu orientado , Joelson Jr, sobre suas experiências enquanto Joelson era um praticante do Domínio Siu Nim Tau.
Depois disso, pediu que cada membro senior presente falasse algumas palavras para Joelson sobre o Domínio seguinte. Si Fu também falou algumas palavras.

Si Fu heard next to us the words of Andre and his Si Dai, Joelson Jr about his experiences while Joelson was a practitioner of Siu Nim Tau Domain. 
Thereafter, asked each senior member present to spoke a few words to Joelson on the following Domain. 
Si Fu also spoke a few words.

E após o pedido de Si Fu, André demonstrou a Joelson a primeira e segunda parte do Cham Kiu. Na sequência, o próprio Joelson(foto) as executou com perfeição pela primeira vez sob o sorriso de Si Fu e os olhares atentos de todos. Tornando pública sua promoção ao Domínio seguinte.

And after the request by Si Fu, Andre demonstrated to Joelson the first and second part of the Cham Kiu. Following , Joelson himself (photo) executed them to perfection for the first time under the smile of Si Fu and the watchful eyes of all. Making public his promotion to the next domain.

Si Gung(foto) escreveu recentemente, algumas palavras sobre o seu entendimento a respeito das Cerimônias Tradicionais:
"...Nos anos que antecederam seu falecimento, Grao-Mestre Moy Yat, demonstrou especial atenção na conduçao das cerimonias (din lai ) que envolviam nossa família kung fu (si mun).
Penso que, no fim de sua vida, Grao-Mestre Moy Yat estava muito atento a nossa compreensão sobre a relação com os ancestrais (jo si ). Acredito que ele tenha se enxergado mais próximo dos ancestrais e entendido o seu papel como um representante vivo da nossa ancestralidade. Justifico assim sua preocupação sobre o assunto. Em sua ultima visita ao Brasil, o tema central de suas palestras foi o fat sam  (coração búdico), tema que marcou a importância do " ming sam " na evolução do kung fu. As raizes do "fat sam" se encontram na noção de pun sam (consciencia fundadora) e no elo que nos une a nossa ancestralidade (jo si)...Daí a importância de momentos cerimoniais como instrumento estratégico na salvaguarda do Sistema Ving Tsun 詠春, pois atuam para a ativação, exploração e renovação do potencial de cada um dos membros de cada família do nosso clã..."

Si Gung (photo ) recently wrote a few words about his understanding about the Traditional Ceremonies :
" ... In the years before his passing , Grand Master Moy Yat , showed special care about conducting ceremonies ( din lai ) involving our kung fu Family(si mun ) .
I think at the end of his life , Grand Master Moy Yat was very attentive to our understanding of the relationship with the ancestors ( jo si) . I believe he saw himself closer to the ancestors and understood his role as a living representative of our ancestry . Thus justify their concern about the issue . In his last visit to Brazil , the central theme of his lectures was the fat sam ( Buddhahood heart) , A theme that marked the importance of " ming sam " in the evolution of kung fu . The roots of " fat sam " are in the notion of pun sam ( founder consciousness ) and the link that binds us to our ancestry ( jo si) ... Hence the importance of ceremonial moments as a strategic tool in safeguarding the Ving Tsun,because they act for activation , operation and renewal of the potential of each member of each Family in our clan ... "

Ao final, batemos a foto oficial da Cerimônia, com a certeza de que agora não só temos uma ambiência adequada para a prática do Ving Tsun no Méier. Mas todos nós, somos o Mo Gun.

At the end, the official photo of the ceremony was taken, with the certainty that now not only have a proper ambience to practice Ving Tsun in Meier. But all of us are the Mo Gun.

Quanto a mim, bom, eu não poderei nunca viver as aventuras de Nixe como na minha histórinha de 1993. Mas não trocaria minhas aventuras pelas dele de forma alguma...

As for me, well, I will never live the adventures of Nixe as in my little story of 1993. But would not trade my adventures by his ...

Principalmente, porque descobri que ser o personagem principal é muito pouco, quando você pode ser o provedor de aventuras a infinitos personagens principais.
Parabéns a Joelson pela promoção. A André, seu orientador pelo excelente trabalho. E a todos que ajudaram para que esta Cerimônia acontecesse agora e desde outros tempos...E claro a Si Fu, pela sua presença que dá a anuência ao Núcleo Méier mais do que qualquer coisa.

Mainly because I found that to be the main character is very little, when you can be the provider of the endless adventures of endless main characters.
