(BIRTHDAY OF SI TAAI PO HELEN MOY)ANIVERSÁRIO DE SRA. HELEN MOY

 

No último mês uma comitiva saída do Brasil e liderada por Si Gung Leo Imamura foi até NY para prestigiar o aniversário da Líder do Clã Moy Yat, Sra. Helen Moy.

Graças aos esforços principalmente de Si Sok Leonardo Mordente e Si Baak Anderson Maia(ambos do Núcleo Belo Horizonte.) Foi impressa uma determinada quantidade de livros numa edição limitada em inglês sobre o Dr. Leung Jaan.

Last month a delegation from Brazil and led by Si Gung Leo Imamura(10G VT) went to NY to attend the anniversary of the Moy Yat Clan Leader , Mrs. Helen Moy.

Thanks to the efforts mainly by Si Baak Anderson Maia and Si Sok Leonardo (both 11G VT members from Belo Horizonte.) An amount of books in a limited edition in English about Dr. Leung Jaan were printed.

A comitiva do Brasil, deu de presente a Si Taai Po Helen Moy todos os exemplares, para que ela pudesse autográfa-los e presentear cada pessoa presente em seu aniversário com um dos livros. Algo que a deixou extremamente feliz.

O mais bacana, foi que todos que pegavam um livro, davam um Hung Bao com uma quantia dentro. Inclusive a comitiva do Brasil.

Consegue imaginar esta lógica: Você dá um presente a alguém, para que a pessoa possa ter o prazer de dá-lo a pessoas queridas,incluindo você, e você dá um Hung Bao em troca? É demais.

The delegation of Brazil gave a present to Si Taai Po Helen Moy: all copies of the book,so she could sign them and give to each person as a present on her own birthday .

Something that made her extremely happy.
 

The coolest thing was that everyone that was going to take a book, gave a Hung Bao with an amount inside. Including the delegation of Brazil.
 

Can you imagine this logic: You give someone a present, so that one person may have the pleasure to give it to loved ones, including you, and you give a Hung Bao in return? It's very interesting!

A viagem proém começou antes quando Si Gung Leo Imamura reencontrou Si Baak Gung William Moy, filho de Si Taai Gung Moy Yat em sua casa.

The trip began before, when Si Gung Leo Imamura(10G VT)reunited with Si Baak Gung William Moy, son of Si Taai Gung Moy Yat at his home.

Na oportunidade, a comitiva brasileira teve a chance de ver de perto as pedras do "Ving Tsun Kuen Kuit". 

Na foto vemos Si Sok Leonardo Mordente completamente imerso ao observar uma das pedras. Por mais que você tenha 12 anos e tenha acabado de ganhar um Playstation 3 a emoção não seria a mesma. 

On this occasion, the Brazilian delegation had the chance to see closely the stones of the "Ving Tsun Kuen Kuit".

In the picture we see Si Sok Leonardo Mordente(11G VT)completely immersed to observe one of the stones. As much as you are 12 years old and has just won a Playstation 3 ,the emotion would not be the same.

Meu Si Fu sempre fala com muita admiração sobre o Mo Gun de Si Baak Gung Miguel Hernadez. E pelas fotos vemos o "Por quê".

Si Gung Leo Imamura está nesse momento iniciando a Cerimônia para acrescentar ao Saam Toi do Mo Gun de seu Si Hing, um Saam Jiu Paai(seguro na mão a direita na foto). Seguindo pedido de seu Si fu Moy Yat ha alguns anos atrás.

My Si Fu always speaks with great admiration about the Mo Gun of Si  Baak Gung Miguel Hernadez. And on the pictures we see the "why. "

Na cultura chinesa, a reverência a ancestralidade, a quem vem antes de você, é um dos principais motivos para que uma expressão artistica como o Ving Tsun não se perca no tempo. Mantendo os laços com o passado e o futuro, um Si Fu garante que o "elo da corrente" não se quebre o se deturpe em sua geração.

Vejo isso nessa foto particulamente.

In Chinese culture, reverence for ancestors, who comes before you, is a major reason for an artistic expression as Ving Tsun is not lost in time. Maintaining links with the past and future, a Si Fu ensures that the "chain link" is not to misrepresent the break in his generation.

Esta foto é muito especial. Si Gung abraça seu Si Hing Miguel Hernandez após entregar a ele, um documento, que Si Taai Gung Moy Yat havia lhe dado, onde existe o rascunho feito de suas próprias mãos sobre a composição do Saam Toi, e uma foto de Si Taai Gung em frente ao antigo Saam Toi da "Associação Moy" de Nova York. O qual ele julgou na ocasião bastante completo.

This photo is very special. Si Gung embraces his Si Hing Miguel Hernandez after handing him a document that Si Taai Gung had given to him, where there is a sketch done of Moy Yat himself's hands on the composition of Saam Toi, and a photo of  Si Taai Gung in front of the old Saam Toi of "Moy Association"of New York.

Aqui a lápide de Si Taai Gung Moy Yat, a qual é sempre visitada por Si Gung e quem o acompanha durante as viagens aos EUA.

 Here is the tombstone of Si Tai Gung Moy Yat, which is always visited by Si Gung and who accompanies him on trips to America.

É interessante observar essa pedra, pois nela está escrito o nome de Si Taai Gung. Acontece que ele adotou seu nome Kung Fu "Moy Yat" com tanto esmero, que poucas pessoas não sabem que esse não é seu real nome.

 This stone is interesting because it is written the name of Si Taai Gung Moy Yat on it. It turns out that he adopted his  Kung Fu name  "Moy Yat" with such care that not many people know that this is not his real name.

Na cultura chinesa, o compromisso com seu Si Fu, ou o vínculo com seus ancestrais, vai além do "plano físico". Mas é importante dizer que isso não tem haver com religião.

No Ocidente, para uma pessoa entrar em contato com algo não fisico, ela geralmente o faz por intermedio de uma doutrina religiosa.

In Chinese culture, commitment to the Si Fu, or the link to someone´s ancestors, going beyond the "physical plane". But it is important to say that this has nothing to do with religion.

In the West, for a person to contact something non-physical, it usually does so through the medium of a religious doctrine.

Os chineses simplificam esta questão com gestos simbólicos. Por exemplo: Meu avô sempre fazia torresmos ou biscoitos de polvilho pra mim nos Domingos a tarde. E a gente comia estes alimentos saudáveis acompanhos por Coca-Cola ou café. Seguindo a lógica chinesa, se eu fosse visitar o túmulo de meu avô, seria de bom grado que eu levasse: torresmo, café, coca-cola ou biscoito de polvilho. E fizesse quase que um pique-nique relembrando histórias nossas ou dele.

The Chinese Culture simplified this issue with symbolic gestures. For example: My grandfather was always making biscuits  for me on Sundays afternoons. And we ate these food accompanied by Coca-Cola or coffee. Following the Chinese logic, if I were visiting the grave of my grandfather, would willingly that I would bring:  coffee, coke or biscuit recipes. And almost make a picnic of it and remembering his stories.

Esse ato , inclui também queimar coisas para que a chegue até o seu ente através da fumaça. Assim sendo, um dos atos mais incríveis que presenciei nestas fotos foi a idéia de queimar um dos livros de Leung Jaan para que se "Chegasse até Si taai Gung". Entenda, o livro é material, a fumaça se espalha, deixa de ter um corpo, se espalha pelo ar. E ainda, se Si Taai Gung estivesse vivo com certeza o livro seria mostrado a ele, portanto, nada mais natural dentro de um plano simbolico. 

This act also includes things to burn that will reach your ancestor through the smoke. Thus, one of the most amazing acts that I witnessed in these photos was the idea of burning Leung Jaan´s book, . Understand, the book is material,when the smoke spreads ,  has no longer a body, fills the air. And yet, if Si Taai Gung was alive for sure the book would be shown to him, so it was natural in a symbolic logic.

 Também aconteceu a visita ao prédio onde era a antiga sede mundial da MYVT, local também onde treinou nosso Si Gung Leo Imamura.

  

Also happened to visit the building where was the former world headquarters of MYVT, also the place where Si Gung Leo Imamura trainned.

Ainda assim, o lendário "aviso" na porta  continua. Indicando que no "top Floor" estava o Mo Gun de Si Taai Gung.

Si Fu com uma jaquetinha meio Macgyver meio Indiana Jones ao lado de Si Sok Domenico "relembram" de coisas que nem vivenciaram.

Ja na Philadelphia, terra do "Fresh Prince" , Si Fu posa em frente ao Mo Gun de Si Baak Gung Pete, onde estão expostos posters de Paula Gama e Mestra Ursula Lima na porta de entrada. O que para nós é uma grande honra.

Mas vamos pular para outra parte da viagem....

Already in Philadelphia, home of the "Fresh Prince", Si Fu poses in front of the Mo Gun of Si Baak  Gung  Pete, where posters  Paula Gama(12G VT) and Master Ursula(11G VT) are displayed in the doorway. What to us is a great honor.
But let's skip to another part of the trip ....

Because ... you know who also lived in Philadelphia, right?

E eu te digo: É por essas e outras que ainda acho que não estou preparado para viagens internacionais como essa. Eu teria um enfarto nesse local.
Thats why I just cannot make a trip like that. I would have a heart-attack in this place!

Outra possibilidade comigo, seria a de eu ser preso por depedrar patrimônio público, já que eu com certeza arranjaria um jeito de estar com uma jaqueta preta e arremessar um capacete de moto como em ROCKY III.Quando Stallone faz isso após a morte de Micky.

Another possibility with me, I would be arrested for attack public property, since I certainly figure out a way of being with a black jacket and throw a helmet on a motorcycle as Sly did in ROCKY III after the death of Micky.

 Voltando ao Mo Gun de Si Baak Gung Pete, a comitiva teve mais uma vez a oportunidade de admirar o fruto de grande dedicação da Familia Kung Fu de Si Baak Gung Pete, que é o seu Mo Gun.

Returning to the Mo Gun of  Si Baak Gung Pete, the delegation had again the opportunity to admire the fruit of great dedication of Kung Fu Family leaded by Si Baak Gung Pete.

Seus 70 anos demonstram acima de tudo grande dedicação ao sonho de seu esposo, continuando a reunir todo o Clã e participar de maneira ativa.

Na foto acima, vemos ainda o momento em que meu Si Fu recebeu o busto de Si Taai Gung Moy Yat em Cerimônia. 

Como já explicado, este busto representa a legitimidade de um Mo Gun da MYVT.

E agora o nosso está exposto aqui no Rio de Janeiro.

Nowadays, the  birthday of Si Taai Po Si Helen Moy is the most important date of the entire clan Moy Yat.

During Her 70 years,she have shown great dedication above all to the dream of her husband, continuing to gather all the clan and participate actively.


In the photo above, see also the time when my Si Fu received a bust of Si Taai Gung during a Ceremony.

As explained above, this bust represents the legitimacy of a Gun Mo's MYVT.

And now our is exposed here in Rio de Janeiro.
