BAAI SI E O NOME MOY YAT RECONHECIDO EM JACAREPAGUÁ (BAAI SI AND THE NAME MOY YAT RECOGNIZED IN WEST ZONE OF RIO!)

Esses somos eu e meus irmãos Kung Fu, quando em 26 de Maio de 2007, nos tornamos discípulos de primeira geração de Si Fu Julio Camacho e Si Mo Daniela Camacho, e discípulos de segunda geração de
Si Gung Leo Imamura e Si Taai Vanise Imamura. Com a excessão de Si Hing Leo que já era discipulo um ano antes.

Naquela época, em que tudo que eu mais almejava na vida era conseguir passar em Parasitologia e Imunologia da Saúde na faculdade, um presente que recebi de Si Gung na ocasião foi um chaveiro da MYVT igual ao que Si Fu tinha, na mesma hora soube que só usaria caso tivesse um Mo Gun, assim como Si Fu, e então o guardei...


These are KF my brothers and I , while on May 26, 2007, we became disciples of the first generation of Si Fu Julio Camacho and Si Mo Daniela Camacho, and disciples of the second generation of
Si Gung Leo Imamura and Si Taai Vanise Imamura.

At that time, all I wanted more in life was to get through in Parasitology and Immunology disciplines in College ,and that day I received a gift from Si Gung, a  key chain of MYVT equal to that my Si Fu had, at the same time I knew that I would only use if I had a Mo Gun as Si Fu and I kept it ...


Anos depois, na semana em que peguei as chaves do Méier, seria a hora de usá-lo pela primeira vez, por ocasião da primeira visita oficial de Si Fu ao Núcleo Méier. Por conta disso, fiz uma chamada com uma filmagem do meu quarto na época, ainda na casa da minha mãe:

After take a room for MYVT Meier Branch in 2011, Si Fu would make his first official visit there, so I knew that was time to use the key chain.

Certa vez, Guilherme ficou no Núcleo Méier e minha chave ficou com ele. Esta do chaveiro. Assim, liguei e pedi que ele deixasse na portaria da minha mãe antes de ir para casa, e ele o fez. Acontece que dias depois, um dos porteiros desta vila, me parou e pediu para falar comigo. É um rapaz jovem, talvez um ano mais velho do que. E ele disse:

-Posso falar com o senhor? - balancei a cabeça afirmativamente, e ele prosseguiu.
-Você é o Thiago da "Môi Yáti"(Moy Yat)? - Balancei a cabeça afirmativamente de novo, com uma ligeira dobra de surpresa em minhas sombrancelhas. E ele continuou:

-Pô não acredito! Eu tava aqui na portaria outro dia, aí o porteiro do outro turno pediu pra entregar uma chave pra você, ai eu li: "Môi Yáti" ! Ai eu pensei: "Pô não acredito! Tem alguém da Môi Yáti aqui?

O rapaz ficou mais alguns minutos falando que já tinha praticado, que estava muito espantado de conhecer alguém da escola do discípulo de Ip Man ali e tudo mais. Eu admito que fiquei calado na maior parte do tempo, ainda muito surpreso...


Once my KF Brother Guilherme was at the MYVT Meier and my key was with him. This keychain. So I called and asked him to leave it at the gate of my mother's condo before going home, and he did. It turns out that days later, one of the gdoormen of this condo, stopped me and asked to speak with me. It's a young guy, maybe a year older than me. And he said:

-Can I talk to you? - I Nodded yes, and he continued.
-Are you the Thiago from Moy Yat? - I shook my head "yes" again, with a slight bend in my eyebrows in surprise. And he continued:

-Dude! I do not believe! I was here the other day in the lobby, where the other doorman asked to deliver a  key for you, then I read: Moy Yat! Then I thought, "Dude! I do not believe! Is anyone here from Moy Yat?

The boy kept for a few minutes talking about he had practiced too in another place, He said he was very surprised to meet someone from the school of the student of Ip Man there and everything. I admit that I was silent most of the time, still very surprised ...

Esta é a entrada da vila onde mora minha mãe. Agora você já pode nos sequestrar mais tranquilamente né? Bom, sempre que entro nessa vila depois daquele dia, e esse rapaz está na portaria, algo engraçado acontece. Ele sai da guarita, aperta o botão e fica de pé pra me dar boa noite. Quando ele está muito empolgado ele fica em Jong Sau (guarda) até meu carro passar. E eu continuo achando incrível toda essa situação!rs

This is the entrance of my Mom' condo and since that day, something very funny happens all the time that I go into this gates and the boy is in the lobby. 'Cause he stands in his feet waiting for my car just to say "goodnight" or, he stands in Jong Sau pointing to me saying "goodnight", can you believe in that?

No próximo dia 25 de Agosto, Si Fu e Si Mo aceitarão mais discípulos em sua Família Kung Fu em um grande evento que também celebrará os 20 anos de Si Fu na Família Kung Fu e a titulação de Si Sok Felipe como Mestre Qualificado.

FAMÍLIA KUNG FU DESCANSA NA PRAIA (KUNG FU FAMILY HAVING SOME FUN ON THE BEACH)

O sol brilhava na manhã de hoje quando as 7:00 am cheguei do aeroporto após deixar Si Fu e Si Sok Ursula por lá, já que os dois embarcariam para o Conselho de Mestres da Moy Yat Ving Tsun no Brasil.

Como o dia estava com tudo para ser bonito, resolvi chamar minha namorada para ir a praia, mas qual não foi minha surpresa, quando ao chegar a praia, constatar o tempo nublado....


The sun was shining this morning at 7:00 am when I reached my home  after leaving Si Fu and Si Sok Ursula at the airport, as the two embark to São Paulo to attend the Masters Meeting of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Brazil.

As the bright day was a promise for a beautiful morning, I decided to call my girlfriend to go to the beach, but what was my surprise, when on reaching the beach, see the weather turned into cloudy ....

Na verdade uma nova geração composta por Daniel Anchieta, filho de Vladimir Anchieta. Julia Camacho, filha mais nova de meu Si Fu e a própria Rebeka Lima, filha de Si Sok Ursula,começam cada vez mais a frequentar o Mo Gun, as Cerimônias, e a conviver com esse dia-a-dia da Família Kung Fu, dando ainda que através de brincadeiras, seus primeiros passos no mundo do Ving Tsun....

In fact a new generation consists of Daniel Anchieta, son of Vladimir Anchieta. Julia Camacho, youngest daughter of my  Si Fu and Rebeka Lima, daughter of Si Sok Ursula, are more and more attending to Mo Gun, the Ceremonies, and living with Kung Fu Family, and even through play,giving their first steps into the world of Ving Tsun ...

BAAI SI AND HOI KUEN INVITATION IN RIO (CONVITE PARA HOI KUEN E BAAI SI NO RIO DE JANEIRO)

(Eu, de Zorro, e meu amigo Raphael, de homem-aranha, numa festa a fantasia no 3º período da faculdade!)

Pouca gente sabe, mas sou um grande fã do Zorro. Recentemente, tive a oportunidade de ler o ótimo livro de Isabel Allende "ZORRO , COMEÇA A LENDA" (que você pode adquirir clicando nos banners do BLOG) , e nesse livro achei um trecho que me chamou a atenção pela relação "Mestre-Discípulo" entre Diego de La Vega(Zorro) e seu Mestre em esgrima, Manuel Escalante:

"...As lições de esgrima eram a atividade mais importante do dia para Diego, e ele jamais chegou tarde a uma aula, pois sabia que o mestre o dispensaria para sempre. As 7:45 am estava a postos em frente da academia , cinco minutos depois, um criado lhe abria a porta e as oito em ponto estava com o florete diante de Manuel Escalante. No fim da aula, este costumava convidá-lo para ficar mais alguns minutos e conversava sobre a nobreza da arte da esgrima, o orgulho de cingir a espada, as glórias militares da Espanha e a impiedosa necessidade de todo o Cavaleiro honrado de bater-se em duelo para defender o nome, ainda que os duelos estivessem proibidos. Desses temas passavam a outros mais profundos, e aquele homenzinho altivo com aparência engomada e orgulhosoa de um dândi suscetível até a raiz do absurdo quando se tratava da própria honra e dignidade, foi revelando o outro lado do seu caráter...A esgrima o elevara socialmente, permitira-lhe percorrer a Europa relacionando-se com nobres e Cavalheiros.... Sentiu que finalmente sua vida tinha um propósito elevado, guiar aquele jovem para que seguisse os seus passos, convertê-lo em paladino de causas justas...Decidiu conhecê-lo melhor e coloca-lo à prova antes de partilhar com ele os seus segredos. E nessas breves conversas na hora do café, sondava-o..."


Few people know, but I'm a big fan of Zorro. I recently had the opportunity to read the great book by Isabel Allende "ZORRO, THE LEGEND BEGINS" , and in this book I found a passage that struck me about the "Master-Disciple" relashionship between Diego de la Vega (Zorro) and his Master of fencing, Manuel Escalante:


"... The lessons in fencing was the most important activity of the day for Diego, and he never came late to class Because he knew that the master would send him away forever. By 7:45 am He was in front of the academy, five minutes later, a servant opened the door to him and by eight o'clock was holding the sword in front of Manuel Escalante. In the end of the lesson, he used to invite him to stay a few more minutes and talked about the noble art of fencing, the proud to gird the sword, the military glories of Spain and relentless need for any honorable knight to beat a duel to defend his name, though duels were prohibited. these issues passed to other deeper and that flashy little man with a proud and starched appearance of a rooted dandy susceptible way when it came to his own honor and dignity, was revealing the other side of his character ... the fencing made him risen socially, allowed him tour Europe with noble mens and knights .... he felt his life finally had a higher purpose, to guide the young Diego to follow in his footsteps, converting him into champion of just causes ... decided to get to know him better and puts him to the test before share with him his secrets. And in those brief conversations over coffee, probed him ... "




Esse trecho me chamou atenção, principalmente porque estamos contando os dias para um momento muito especial para a MYVT Rio de Janeiro no próximo dia 25 de Agosto...


This part of the book called my attention principally because we are couting the days for a very special moment for MYVT Rio next August....

No final de mais uma noite no Mo Gun da Barra da Tijuca, uma série de praticantes foram jantar com Si Fu. Entre eles estavam presentes André Almeida e Bruno Tito, ambos membros do Núcleo Méier, que foram convidados para ingressar na Família Kung Fu. Além deles, outra personagem principal naquela noite foi Tatiana Palumbo, que aparece no canto esquerdo na foto sorrindo, bem como Si Hing Mauro Lima.Ambos foram convidados para realizar o Baai Si.

At the end of another night in Mo Gun of Barra da Tijuca, a number of practitioners have been dining with 
Si Fu. Among them were present André Almeida and Bruno Tito, both members of the MYVT Meier, who were invited to join the Kung Fu Family. Besides them, another main character that night was Tatiana Palumbo, who appears in the left corner in the picture smiling and Si Hing Mauro Lima.Ambos were invited to perform the Baai Si Ceremony.

Foi uma noite especial, pois ao mesmo tempo em que duas pessoas conheciam Si Fu de maneira mais próxima ao receberem o convite para ingressar na Familia, Tatiana e Si Hing Mauro coroavam uma relação já estabelecida em anos de convívio com este convite para o Baai Si.

THE LOST TRIP OF SI FU,SI MO AND PEREIRA "THE FOOTAGE"(A Viagem Perdida de Si Fu, Si Mo e Pereira: A filmagem!)

Em 2009, Si Fu , Si Mo, Si Hing Mauro, Thiago Silva,Carlos Antunes e eu estivemos no interior do estado, cercados por floresta por um dia inteiro a convite de Marcos Leiras para conhecer as suas terras , as quais ele gostaria que fossem usadas pela Familia Kung Fu.

In 2009, Si Fu and Si Mo were invited by their student Marcos Leiras to know his lands in Rio de Janeiro, a real forest in the middle of the state. 'Cause he wish to let the Family enjoy all the place. Si Fu invited to join him 4 disciples:Si Hing Mauro, Thiago Silva, Carlos Antunes and me.

Caminhadas sem fim, espadas de madeira, Chi Sau mortal, morcegos, corrida entre nosso Uno e um BMW e uma Mercedez, e muito mais, brindaram este Sábado que até então tinha se perdido no tempo sem registros. Mas graças a Marcos Leiras, algumas imagens resgatadas da filmagens são trazidas até vocês desta viagem inesquecível e muito divertida!


Memories like Mortal Chi Sau, bats, deep forests, street racing between our Uno Mille and a Mercedez and a BMW, mosquitoes were all part of this enigmatic Saturday, now, no more lost thanks to Marcos Leiras footage that I bring to you today!

É Domingo de manhã. Um sol fraco bate na rua, e você acabou de montar uma churrasqueira barata. Seu amigo prepara a carne com uma habilidade um tanto quanto duvidosa, mas você nem liga, o que importa é estar ali. Você puxa uma cadeira de praia e senta jogando conversa fora esperando a carne ficar pronta. De repente , começa a tocar samba enredo na casa ao lado, ou talvez, a outra vizinha adolescente coloque um funk alto. Mas não importa se você odeia samba e funk, tudo faz parte de um grande contexto, e você apenas relaxa, sem ao menos entender como coisas tão simples te fazem tão bem. Mas de repente, algo te chama a atenção: Seu amigo por diversas vezes pega o amolador de facas, e como uma mania descontrolada fica amolando a faca constantemente, as vezes sem nem mais estar presente no que está fazendo. E aí, você lembra que toda a vez que está num churrasco, quem está comandando a carne faz o mesmo...E você se pergunta o "Por que"...

It is Sunday morning. A weak sun hits the street, and you just build a cheap grill. Your friend prepares the meat with a skill somewhat doubtful, but you do not care, what matters is being there. You pull a beach chair and sits chatting waiting for the meat is ready. Suddenly, samba starts playing next door, or perhaps another teen neighbor put a brazilian funk song in high volume. But no matter if you hate samba and funk, it is all part of a large context, and you just relax, without even understanding how such simple things makes you feel so good. But suddenly, something calls you out: Your friend repeatedly takes the knife sharpener, and as an uncontrolled habit is constantly pestering the knife, sometimes without even being present in the movement that he is doing. Em um evento recente, Si Gung comentou que um dos primeiros relatos sobre um Mestre de Kung Fu, é atribuído a um cozinheiro. Isso porque, na China antiga era comum o costume entre cozinheiros de elite, de demonstrarem sua habilidade ao precisar amolar suas facas pessoais apenas uma vez por ano.
Pois quanto mais o cozinheiro entendesse como fluir no corte, seguindo as ondulações da carne adequadamente, menos sua faca precisaria ser amolada. Então apareceu um homem, que diz a lenda ter ficado 9 anos sem precisar amolar sua faca...


At a recent meeting in Rio, Si Gung commented that one of the first reports of a Kung Fu Master, is assigned to a cook. That is because in ancient China was the common custom among elite chefs, demonstrating its ability to needs sharpen their personal knives  only once a year.
For the more the cook understand how to flow in the cut, following the undulations of the meat properly, less need to be sharpened his knife. Then came a man who says the legend have been nine years without sharpening his knife ...

Para mim esta história se baseia em você entender a Dimensão do Kung Fu. Um entendimento sobre sua ação, que vai além da técnica e de como aplicá-la. Mas sim de perceber as tendências geradas por cada um de seus atos, e enxergar as potencialidades de cada situação que se configura a sua frente...

To me, this story relies on you to understand the dimension of Kung Fu. An understanding of your action, which goes beyond technique and how to apply it. But to understand the trends generated by each of your acts, and see the potential of each situation that sets up in front of you ...

Assim, como vemos na foto, no Sábado no Núcleo Barra da Tijuca, alguns dos membros mais antigos se reuniram a convite de Si Fu no final da manhã, para trocarem experiências sobre o Baat Jaam Do.
Aqui por exemplo, observo o Do de meu Si Sok Felipe, que no próximo dia 25 de Agosto, será titulado Mestre Qualificado.


Thus, as we see in the picture, on Saturday at the MYVT Barra da Tijuca, some of the older members gathered attending the invitation of Si Fu in the late morning, to exchange experiences on the Baat Jaam Do.
Here for example, its me observing my Si Sok Felipe, who on the next August,25, will be entitled Qualified Teacher.

O Daai Si Hing da minha Família Kung Fu, Leonardo Reis, também estava lá. Não só demonstrando sua interpretação da sequência, bem como , tecendo comentários que o colocam sem dúvida num outro nível de entendimento.


The Dai Si Hing of my Kung Fu Family, Leonardo Reis, was also there. Not only demonstrating his interpretation of the sequence as well, commenting in a way makes him reaches a place certainly on another level of understanding.

Com relação a minha pessoa, bom, eu estava lá tentando ter algo a compartilhar com estas incríveis figuras de nosso Clã.

Tentei  colocar minhas teorias sobre posicionamento e energia na terceira parte da sequência com a ajuda de meu querido irmão Kung Fu Vladimir Anchieta. 

Se você pressiona em demasia angulando para o lado errado ao abordar esse bastão por exemplo, ele ganharia "mais uma cabeça", como vemos na foto...

I tried to put my theories about positioning and energy in the third part of the sequence with the help of my dear Kung Fu brother Vladimir Anchieta.

Dinner with Si Fu and Special Siu Nim Tau at MYVT Meier( Barzinho com Si Fu e estudo de Siu Nim Tau no Méier)

Não sei o que você estava fazendo ontem a noite, mas a caminho da emergência ortopédica, recebi um telefonema do meu irmão Kung Fu Carlos Antunes, me chamando pra comer um pastel num barzinho perto da casa do Si Fu...  E lá estávamos nós em mais uma noite muito divertida, onde pude também tirar algumas duvidas com relação ao Kung Fu.

I do not know what you were doing last night, but the I was in the way of the emergency room because of my knee, but I got a call from my Kung Fu lil' bro Carlos Antunes, calling me to eat some meal in a coffee shop near the house of Si Fu ... And there we were in a more fun night, where I also learned more about the Kung Fu.

Na noite de Quarta, 18 de Julho tivemos uma prática especial de Siu Nim Tau. A atividade contou com a presença de Guilherme Farias "Moy Faat Lin", Luciano Freitas e Fabio Sá.


This Wednesday´s night, we had a special Siu Nim Tau practice. Attending the practice : Guilherme "Moy Faat Lin", Luciano Freitas and Fabio Sa.

Na oportunidade também assistimos juntos ao video "Siu Nim Tau" que conta com a participação de um jovem Si Gung Leo Imamura falando de Siu Nim Tau há quase 20 anos atrás, mas principalmente, contém mais de 30 minutos de Si Taai Gung Moy Yat falando deste domínio do Ving Tsun.
Para alguns praticantes como Fabio, que nunca tinham visto Si Taai Gung a não ser em fotos, foi algo bem especial trazê-lo ao Mo Gun do Méier em forma de video-tape.

On that occasion we also watched a video together named "Siu Nim Tau" which includes the participation of a young Si Gung Leo Imamura Si Gung talking about Siu Nim Tau for almost than 20 years ago, but this video is special 'cause contains over 30 minutes of Si Taai Gung Moy Yat talking about this level in Ving Tsun.
For some practitioners as Fabio, who had never seen SiTaai Gung except in photos, it was something very special to bring him to the Meier Gun Mo in the form of video-tape.

Após as fotos para registrar o momento, terminamos a noite no novo restaurante point da Familia Kung Fu.
Foi possível conversar sobre as impressões a respeito da noite, bem como sobre o processo de Baai Si.


After the photos, we went for dinner near Mo Gun, in our fav restaurant. We talked about kung fu, about this night and also Baai Si.

Mais uma noite marcante no Mo Gun do Méier! Espero poder contar com sua presença nas próximas vezes!
