Kung Fu in Rio last weekend(Aniversário da Professora Lily)

 

O último final de semana foi bem divertido e empolgante. Meu carro perdeu o freio , vi X-Men First Class com meus melhores amigos, achei finalmente a jaqueta do filme "TOP GUN"(rs) mas principalmente, me reuni com a minha querida professora de chinês, Lily Ma, para celebrar o seu aniversário em sua casa.

The latest weekend was very funny! My car lost its breaks(!!!), I watched X-Men:First Class with my friends, and I finally found the jacket as seen in TOP GUN movie(as you see on the photo). But principally , the most important thing of this weekend was my Chinese Teacher´s birthday celebration!!

Representando a Família Kung Fu, estiveram presentes: Mestra Ursula Lima, sua filha Rebeka, e seu marido Ricardo. Eu também estava lá(com a jaqueta do Top Gun outra vez!) junto de Claudio Pamplona e 

Vladimir Anchieta.

Representing the Moy Yat Kung Fu Family were there from left to right: Master Ursula(11G VT), her daughter Rebeka, and her husband Ricardo Lopes. Also, I was there(wearing Top Gun jacket again) with Claudio Pamplona(12G VT) and Vladimir Anchieta(that is not on the pic)

Outras escolas de Kung Fu do estado do Rio estiveram presentes para homenagear a professora com mais de 30 anos de ensino no Brasil. A escola União Garra de Águia de São Gonçalo, demonstrou a Dança do Leão de maneira impecável.

Others Kung Fu Schools were there too, to tribute Lily, who teachs chinese in Rio for more than 30 years. The Eagle Clow School from Sao Gonçalo city, did the Lion Dance with maestry.

舞狮 wǔshī ou Mou Si em cantonês, quer dizer literalmente Dança do Leão.

É importante que aqueles que controlam o leão por baixo da fantasia, encorporem o espírito da figura.

Na foto acima, vemos quando os dois reverenciam a professora e esta brinca com eles.

舞狮 wǔshī or Mou Si in cantonese, means "Lion Dance".

It is very important for people who controls the Lion, to have the spirit of it.

Professora Lily impressiona em suas aulas(como vemos na foto acima em nosso Mo Gun), pois ainda que esteja no Rio há mais de 30 anos, continua com o "Jeito Chinês" bem vivo. Isso se manifesta inclusive em suas aulas, a todo o momento.

Teacher Lily teaches very good! 'Cause even living in RIo for more than 30 years, she keeps the "chinese way". And it comes out of course in her classes.

Tenho tido a honra de acompanhá-la nesse seu momento a caminho da aposentadoria que segundo ela se justifica por que "Centro cidade muito longe! Melhor ficar Barra agora!"

Tenho conseguido aprender bastante sobre seu método de ensino tão dinamico e fluido.

For me it is a honor to follow her steps in chinese teaching now that she wants to retire as she saiys: "Downtown very far! Better stay Barra!"

I´m being able to understand how to teach like her, in a fluid and dinamic way. But to make this happen, 30 years waits for me....

Talvez por todo o seu carisma e trabalho duro, tantas pessoas tenham comparecido a seu aniversário. Entre amigos, alunos, ex-alunos e conhecidos, todos festejaram mais um ano de vida da querida professora.

Maybe for her charisma, or her hard working in teaching chinese, that a lot of people (friends, students,ex-students, etc) attended for her b-day celeb. and celebrated one more year of the dear teacher Lily!

BIU JI SPECIAL PART 1 (ESPECIAL BIU JI: PARTE 1 )

Dizem que o Biu Ji , "não se mostra fora de casa", mas o Blog do Pereira traz uma matéria com muitas curiosidades, traduções e um melhor entendimento deste "Kuen To" que acabou por ficar tão mítico, mas que como veremos sua sofisticação está exatamente em sua simplicidade.

Some people say that Biu Ji says: "Do not show Biu Ji off the house" but the Peartree´s Blog brings a story with many curiosities, translations and a better understanding of this "Kuen To " who ended up as mythical, but as we shall see its sophistication is exactly in its simplicity.

ESPECIAL BIU JI: PARTE 1

BIU JI SPECIAL: PART 1

"BIU JI"(標指) e  "Ji Yue Ji Nam Cham"(借喻 指南針) o que significam??
"BIU JI"(標指) e  "Ji Yue Ji Nam Cham"(借喻 指南針) what these terms means?

"Biu" (標) pode significar "indicação". (can be translated as "indication")
"Ji" (指) pode significar "apontar para"(can be translated as "ponting to" "poiting at")

Mas o que pouco se fala é que "Biu Ji" é a abreviação do termo "Ji Yue Ji Nam Cham"(借喻 指南針)

Este primeiro "Ji"(借) é outro ideograma com a mesma pronúncia de "ji" de "Biu Ji":


Ji(借)- "tomar" é seu significado.
Yue(喻) - significa "metáfora" ou "analogia".
Ji(指) - "apontar para" como vimos acima.
Nam(南) - é "sul"
Cham(針) - pode ser "agulha".

Assim teríamos: "Tomar(Ji 借) a bússola(Ji Nam Cham指南針)como metáfora(Yue 喻)."

Ou melhor seria: "Tomar a bússola como padrão."

But people dont use to talk that "Biu Ji" is the abreviation of the term: "Ji Yue Ji Nam Cham"(借喻 指南針)

This first "Ji"(借) is not the same as the "Ji" in Biu Ji as we seen above.

Ji(借)- "to take"

Yue(喻) - "metaphor" or "analogy"

Ji(指) - "pointing to" or "pointing at"

Nam(南) - means "south"

Cham(針) - can be "needle"

So we have: "Take(Ji 借) the compass(Ji Nam Cham指南針)as a metaphor(Yue 喻)."

Or better: "take the compass as model"

A bússola(Ji Nam Cham指南針) foi inventada na China há mais de 3.000 anos pelo Duque de Chou. Em chinês, no dialeto cantonês, a bússola é chamada de
(Ji Nam Cham指南針) que significa "agulha que aponta para o sul"

 Acontece que a Bússola-padrão não é uma bússola comum. Ela aponta com a máxima precisão para o sul, da mesma maneira que os membros do praticante de Ving Tsun, devem possuir acurácia para retomar a Linha Central de diferentes angulos com o máximo de precisão.


Biu Ji, também é conhecido como Saam Baai Fat(三拜佛) ou "3 reverências a Buda". Pois assim como algumas pessoas são induzidas a acreditar que o Biu Ji possui várias técnicas de dedos que seriam usados para furar o corpo do adversário, Saam Baai Fat(三拜佛) é uma alusão aos  último movimento deste Kuen To(拳套).

The compass (Ji Nam Cham指南針) was invented in China more than 3,000 years ago by the Duke of Chou. In Chinese, the Cantonese dialect, the compass is called (Ji Nam Cham指南針) which means "needle pointing to south"

   It turns out that the Compass is not a standard ordinary compass. She points with maximum accuracy to the south, the same way that members of the Ving Tsun  shall have accuracy to back to the Center Line from different angles with maximum precision.
Biu Ji, is also known as Saam Baai Fat (三 拜佛) or "three bows to Buddha. " 

Some people are induced to believe that the Biu Ji has several techniques with fingers that would be used to pierce the opponent's body, Saam Baai Fat (三 拜佛) is an allusion to the last move of this Kuen To (拳套).

The First Biu Ji Book of Brazil:

 Si Gung(foto ao lado) diz que um livro é um congelamento de sua idéia sobre algo num determinado momento. É por isso, que ele se orgulha em dizer que está mudando de idéia o tempo todo sobre um mesmo ponto de vista. Pois a isso atribui um amadurecimento no seu próprio Kung Fu.


Abaixo vemos uma pequena história sobre seu pioneiro livro "Biu Ji".

 Si Gung (photo) says that a book is a freeze idea from your mind about something at a given time. Therefore, he is proud to say that his ideas are changing all the time about the same point of view. Because it assigns a maturity in his own Kung Fu.

Na época porém, passou desapercebido, que o hoje renomado Mestre Nataniel Rosa, meu Si Baak de Brasilia, foi fotografado usando uma meia com um barquinho desenhado. Consegue ver??


Master Nataniel Rosa(11G VT), when was younger in the 90's , was the sparring for Si gung on the front cover, but you can see a little boat on his socks? Because of that, all the photos had to be retaken!

Repare que na foto da capa como um todo, esse pequeno defeito fez com que as fotos tivessem de ser refeitas.

Por isso quando as fotos foram refeitas,  o querido Mestre Marcio Teixeira esteve na capa com Si gung!

Thats why the dear Master Marcio Teixeira appears on the official cover with Si gung. 'Cause at the time, Si Baak Nataniel(11G VT) could not attend to the new photos.

Usando o Gau Gap Sau(救急手):

Using the  Gau Gap Sau(救急手):

Gau(救) - pode significar "resgatar"

(Means "To rescue")

Gap(急)- pode significar "urgência"

(means "urgency")

Sau(手)- "Mão"

(means "hand")

Por isso, Gau Gap Sau(救急手) é conhecido como "Mãos de Resgate urgente" ou "Dispositivos de emergência".

O corpo e os braços no Biu Ji , tem a função instintiva de retomarem o Jung Sin (中線) ou 

"Linha Central" com rapidez e energia.

Você pode retomar a linha central:

• Golpeando-a
• Cortando-a

Exatamente como o ponteiro da bússola , que depois de agitado, volta rapidamente a indicar uma única direção.

Thats why, Gau Gap Sau (救急手) is known as "Urgent Rescue Hands" or "Emergency Hands. "


The body and arms in Biu Ji, has the function of instinctive return to the  Jung Sin (中线) or "Center Line" with speed and power.

You can retake the center line:

     * Cutting it

Faz pouco tempo, que eu desisti de um emprego público. Na verdade, não lembro se já disse isso aqui, mas no momento em que tomei essa decisão, uma pessoa me disse coisas muito pesadas a respeito de eu viver num mundo de sonhos, de que essa decisão representava a minha falta de vontade de mudar,da minha icompetência e muitas outras coisas que não se deve escrever nesse horário :)

Na verdade, naquele momento me doeu ouvir tais coisas, mas o importante, foi que não me deixei levar por tais comentários. A pessoa desceu do meu carro e eu segui em frente, sabendo que não seria justo comigo mesmo, ficar num trabalho de 8 am as 17 pm sem gostar, só pra caso me perguntassem eu poder falar: "Eu tenho emprego público."

Por isso, quando entrei com Si Sok Felipe Seabra em seu carro rumo a São Paulo, extamente as 12:05 pm da última Sexta, horário em que eu estaria no almoço caso tivesse continuado neste emprego, soube mais do que nunca, que tinha tomado a decisão certa. Pois estava indo para a primeira turma, da primeira pós-graduação em Lutas e Artes Marciais do Brasil, logo na Gama Filho de SP.

So when I went with Si Sok Felipe Seabra(11G VT) in his car heading to Sao Paulo State,exactly 12:05 pm y in the same time for lunch I would be if I had continued in that job, I learned more than ever, that I  had taken the right decision. Because I was going to the first class, the first graduate Fight and Martial Arts Class of Brazil, right at the Gama Filho University of Sao Paulo.

Se me mostrassem essa foto acima há dois anos atrás, eu iria rir e dizer: "Eu fazendo pós-graduação na UGF de São Paulo em Artes Marciais? Ah tá bom!"  

Gostaria de convidar a todos vocês, para nesta semana acompanhar o programa especial da 

VING TSUN TV contando como foi esta experiência ao lado de Si Sok Felipe Seabra no último final de semana. Onde dentre as coisas que aprendi na primeira aula, que por acaso foi com Si gung e 

Si taai, foi o conceito de Potencial da Situação:

.Qualquer situação,pode ser boa ou ruim, depende apenas de como você vai explorar o potencial dela. Por isso, queria hoje fazer uma coisa que geralmente não faço,que é ficar falando de méritos pessoais. 

Mas meu Si Fu certa vez escreveu, que: "Você nunca vai saber porque dedicou tanto da sua vida a um sonho, até o dia em que este sonho salvar a sua vida." E queria dividir com vocês...

And I can say that with them, I learned what was the concept of Situtation´s Potential :
Any situation can be good or bad, it just depends on how you will explore the potential of it. So today I wanted to do something that usually do not, it's like talking about personal merits of mine.

But my Si Fu once wrote that: "You'll never know why you have been dedicating so much of your life to a dream until the day when this dream saves your life." And I wanted to share it with you ...

Na época, eu realmente pestanejei se minha decisão havia sido certa, se o que eu estava ouvindo naquele carro não era verdade, mas com a orientação de Si Fu, Si Gung , Si Sok Ursula e tantas pessoas que enxergam de certa forma o "invísivel", hoje eu posso compartilhar com vocês o que estas pessoas,o ano de 2011 e um sonho me fizeram alcançar:

At the time I actually tought if my decision was right, if what I was hearing in that car was not true, but with the guidance of Si Fu,Si Gung, Si Sok and so many people who see in a way the "invisible "I can now share with you what these people, the year 2011 and a lot of lucky made ​​me achieve :

• -Graças a um desenho meu feito de presente para uma amiga que não via ha 7 anos, fui convidado para fazer histórias em quadrinhos para incentivar a ciência em escolas estaduais pela FIO CRUZ.
• -Por esse trabalho, fui convidado para fazer pós-graduação e Mestrado também na FIO CRUZ.
• -Fui convidado pela renomada professora Lily Ou Yee Fen para ser uma das pessoas que ficarão no seu lugar no ensino de mandarim na cidade do Rio de Janeiro quando esta se aposentar.
• -Voltei a dar aulas de chinês sob supervisão da Professora Lily e do meu próprio Si Fu.
• -Consegui a sala que futuramente será o primeiro Núcleo Certificado da Moy Yat Ving Tsun no Méier.
• -Faço parte da primeira turma de futuros especialistas em Lutas e Artes Marciais do Brasil.

• Thanks to a portrait made for a friend of mine by me, I was invited to write and draw Comics about science for the most important place of science in Brazil : Fio Cruz. This will be printed for young one from poor comunities and schools to learn more about science.

• Thanks to this job, I was also invited to study in FIO CRUZ.
• I also was invited to learn how to be a chinese teacher with my Teacher , Lily Ou yee Fen, 'cause she wants to retire. 
• I´m part of the first Graduate Class in Martial Arts of Brazil
• I Oppened the first MYVT Branch in North Zone of Rio.

• Raphael Evaristo(foto) está prestes a completar 3 anos de prática e foi convidado para acessar o Domínio Cham Kiu no Núcleo Méier sob minha tutela com orientação de Si Fu.

• Raphael 12G VT(photo) is almost competing 3 years of trainning under my supervision and are going to Cham kiu.

•  Lucas Eustáquio(foto) que assim como Raphael , também começou no Siu Ye Kuen também está prestes a iniciar o Cham Kiu, bem como outros praticantes do Núcleo Méier como Leonardo Descoffier e Daniel de Caires.

• Lucas 12G VT(photo) is also completing 3 years and going to Cham Kiu. Lucas is with KF Family since he was a child. Tha makes me very happy!

Por isso, que além de convidá-los para assistir ao programa da VING TSUN TV esta semana, queria dizer dentro da minha humilde experiência, que nunca deixem de acreditar (ok, isso pode soar clichê!), mas sério : 

Nunca se permita duvidar de seu potencial ou de seus sonhos porque alguém duvidou ou duvida. 

Como Si Gung disse no Domingo passado :

"Cada um tem o seu próprio Do 道 (Caminho). Dentro da sabedoria, a vitória(suposto fim do Caminho) não é importante, mas sim, o processo. O importante é o quanto você aprende com o processo."

Por isso, não é importante se o seu sonho "vai dar certo" ou "vai dar errado", porque se você focar no processo e não no objetivo, e conseguir tirar experiência disso, seu sonho sempre "vai dar certo."


So I ´d like to inviting you to attend the  Ving Tsun TV this week, wanted to say in my humble experience, never stop believing (ok, this may sound cliche), but seriously:


Never allow yourself to doubt your own potential or your own dreams because someone doubted or doubt about it.

As Si Gung said last Sunday:

VIING TSUN IN RIO STILL RUNNIN' WILD (Ving Tsun no Rio continua forte!)

 O Blog volta a falar de como anda o Núcleo Méier com novas imagens.
Cada vez mais inseridos no processo de "construção" do novo Mo Gun, os praticantes de todas as maneiras possíveis fazem a coisa acontecer.

Foi nesta última semana também que começou o trabalho de divulgação do Núcleo Méier. Muito mais do que buscar novos praticantes com este material, o objetivo também era avisar que chegamos...

Aqui explico para Lucas e Raphael maiores detalhes de como será feita a divulgação. Na minha mão parte do material.

Outra coisa muito interessante, foi a chegada de uma mesa decente..rsrs  Trazida por Felipe Mury, foi impressionante ver como a mesa coube perfeitamente na ambiência da sala. Branca e pequena e perfeita para este momento.

Além de Guilherme já sentado usando ela, você vê também meu monitor velho de guerra que em breve será substituido...rsrsrs

Another very interesting thing was the arrival of a decent table .. lol Brought by 

Felipe Mury(12G VT), was impressive to see how the table fit perfectly in the ambience of the room. White and small and perfect for this moment.
 

Besides Guilherme(12G VT) already sitting using it, you also see my old monitor wich soon will be replaced ... LOL

Lucas e Raphael, já mais velhos e envolvidos com a Vida Kung Fu, pela primeira vez ficam depois da hora, simplesmente para ajudar a terminar de preparar o material de divulgação. Fato este, que não passou desapercebido por mim...

Mas importante ainda, foi arrancar um sorriso destes dois caras!rsrs

Lucas teve que ir pra casa para olhar os irmãos mais novos, mas Raphael continuou comigo e Guilherme durante a tarde.

Mais tarde, vemos Mury tirando as medidas para pendurar o painel onde ficarão expostas as fotos dos membros. Ao fundo, vemos o nosso quadro branco num tripé de madeira. Interessante dizer, que enquanto não tinhamos um espaço só nosso e funcionávamos no Espaço Dharma como Unidade Méier, o tripé sempre foi de madeira..rsrs Olhando a foto achei que não foi coincidência..

Luciano que vem do longínquo município de São João de Meriti, entra no clima e ajuda no Mo Gun.

Luciano came from a very far away city to train in Meier. He also helped the Mo Gun.

Enquanto isso , Luciano tem sua primeira sessão no Nucleo Méier comigo.

Os desafios continuam aumentando, mas a motivação cresce na mesma proporção.
Cada dia ali, é uma nova descoberta, e é difícil falar de "recompensa" ou algo parecido. Apenas sei que a cada dia que passa,redescubro mais sobre eu mesmo.

Me pego lendo velhos textos, me interessando mais por termos, por entender melhor certas coisas. Nem sempre com sucesso, mas a busca não é linear...

 The challenges continue to increase, but the motivation grows in proportion.

Each day there is a new discovery, and it is difficult to speak of "reward" or something. Just know that every day I rediscover more about myself.
 
I find myself reading old texts, to be interested more in terms of better understanding certain things. Not always successfully, but the search is not linear ...

Quando todos foram embora, vi a mesa que o Mury trouxe, as impressões que o Silva fez, os quadros que Carlos Antunes preparou, a geladeira do Nucleo Rio de Janeiro, e tantas outras coisas, e vi claramente que nunca, seria possível dizer "meu Mo gun"... Ele já começa sendo de todos.


Aqui deixo meu agradecimento até o momento para todos que de alguma forma vem fazendo o Méier acontecer, ainda que somente com bons pensamentos..

When everyone left, I saw the table that Mury brought , the impressions that Silva(12G VT) did, the tablets prepared by Carlos Antunes(12G VT), the refrigerator of Rio de Janeiro Branch, and so many other things, and never  would be possible to say "my Mo gun "... He already starts being everybody´s Mo Gun.
 

Here let my gratitude to the moment, to all that somehow has been doing Meier happens even with good thoughts  ..
