MOY YAT VING TSUN RJ PROJETO ANGOLA (MYVT-RIO:ANGOLA PROJECT)

Was in a very sunny thursday of February that Si Sok Mauro 11G VT(dressing black) by indication of my Si Fu Julio Camacho 11G VT, was preparing himself to go in the probably greatest adventure of his life till that day: To Live in Angola!

Pedro Correira 12G VT(dressing green) was the person who took him to the international airport of Rio. Si Fu, Si Sok Ursula 11G VT , and Paula Gama(blond one) 12G VT, were there too to say goodbye to him.

Erika(dressing cream shirt) 12G VT, and Vitor(dressing white) 12G VT, were there too to give one more hug on their Si Sok before the departure.

Indeed , Si Sok Mauro will represent Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Angola, for togheter with William Franco(12G VT) , promote Ving Tsun by that lands in a project released by Si Fu Julio Camacho under the orientation of Si Gung Leo Imamura(10G VT).

Today(A saturday of Carnaval in Rio) Si Fu and his To Dai Carlos Antunes(12G VT) will also take a plane to Angola to stay there for one week. So, the departure of Si Sok Mauro two days before, was strategic to prepare the reception of my Si Fu and Si Dai today in Luanda.

Boa sorte também a William Franco ("Moy Faan Go")

The Blog wishes good luck to Si Fu and Carlos but principally to Si Sok Mauro, practitioner since 1998, who has a lot of experience in Kung Fu life, where he has already been living in a Mo Gun for 2 years, experiencing Ving Tsun 24/7!!

Good luck also to William Franco(12G VT) who lives there!

Bom Carnaval a todos!

Have a good Carnaval everyone! I´m taking the road right now, but forget to record "Born To Be Wild" to go listening! Arf!

TERCEIRO FILME DE IP MAN!!! EPISODIO 0?? (THIRD MOVIE OF IP MAN!!! EPISODE 0???)

Se prepare!
Prepare yourself!

Chegou a hora do "ano Ip Man"!!!

You that seen in the middle of 80's two movies of "Back to the Future" in the same year, and that in 2003 watched two movies of MATRIX! Now is time for IP MAN!

One of his students in real life, Sin Kwok Lam, a big chinese businessman, always dream of make a movie about his Si Fu, who trained him for 7 years. Nobody gives credit for the idea, and just sometime later, he could get Wilson Yip as a director, and Donnie Yen as the star, and also Sammo Hung for the fight scenes!

"Ip Man movie" was a blockbuster in 2008!

"Ip Man : The legend is born" é uma prequência, uma espécie de episódio 0 contando as origens dos poderes do Patriarca!
"Ip Man: The Legend is Born" is a prequel, kind of EPISODE 0, telling the origns of his super-powers!

Is a kind of IP MAN´s SMALLVILLE Tv series!
And believe me: There will be a "Lana Lang"!!
"SOMEBODY SAAAAAVE MEEEEE......."

(In the middle, the eldest son of Ip Man in real life: Ip Chun. In the movie he will be Leung Bik, one of the responsibles for Ip Man´s Kung Fu)

rs

Ip Chun , said that was very tedious being in a movie, but his parts in it were all real! But about those "Smallville" and "Dawson´s Creek" style romances, he said that never heard anything about that! hehehe

Yuen Biao, who has participated of thousands of movies and tv shows about Ving tsun, being most famous 'cause of his character in "Prodigal Son" when he made Leung Jaan. Comes back as Ng Chun sok, a Si Hing of Ip Man in the class of Chan Wah Shun ( a story already told HERE)

If to call "beatle Juice" you had to call his name tree times, for Sammo Hung all you had to say is "IP MAN!".... three times!
He has the courage (call whatever you want) to star in this movie, the role of Chan Wah Shun, the Si Fu of
Ip Man, and in "IP MAN 2" he will be the main vilain, Master of Hung Ga! Can you believe in it?

Ip Man 1 : lançado em 2008
Ip Man 2: continuação, será lançado este ano.
Ip Man: The Legend Is Born : É o episodio 0, será lançado também este ano!
The producers said that they prefer real martial artists as stars in this movie. As Yuen Biao said the actor of the Young Ip Man, is better in Ving Tsun than Donnie Yen, but worst playing his character.
But now! Lets go to the trailer! But dont misunderstand it!
Ip Man 1 : launched in 2008!
Ip Man 2: wll be released this year.
Ip Man: The Legend is Born: The prequel, also this year!

Hehehe).

Hello everyone!

Those who know me, know that I like to play with the meaning of words and assemble and reassemble riddles and puns ... Ok, most do not understand, but who cares? hehe
The first pun up the column name: Cine, we will explore with your help, using your suggestions left in the comment field, so everyone benefits. The movies will help us to talk about "the movement" and we could not miss black belts of all styles thinkable (and most unthinkable. Hehehe).

Nowadays everyone is in a hurry, already asks for an expresso(cofee) and short seeks not just to take, thinking it will not do a Movie Review today, but a Scene Review + Super Move You.

Nothing more just than talk about the most powerful movement of all martial arts to open the post ... Not talking to the armlock, houndhouse kick, and not about one inch punch, if you think Karate Kid Crane Kick is right!

(I always wanted a "Gi" of the Cobra Kai when I was a kid...maybe I`m still a child! hehehe)

Hahaha

The powerful kick is also known as Tobi Mae Geri, the first time I heard it I wondered if they were offering me a soda, something like: "Want a Tobi Guri* ?" (* Tobi is a very famous soda in Rio, and "Guri" is a way that adult people call the youngers sometimes. So "wants a tobi" in portuguese rhymes with "Mae Tobi Geri") The variations are many, but I like to highlight three in particular: Double kick (a blow to the abdomen and then in the head), with support kick (stomp on the opponent's base to reach the head) and most importantly, kick with heel ( only jumps and kicks - "Larusso Mode On"). See below in the section, "I hurt myself" a classic Go Tobi Guri. Take the children's room and do not try this cold body is now in his thirties. Hahaha

(Waaaachtakkkkk!)

O HINDU DESCONHECIDO!!!

It is quite unnecessary to say that is one kick too hard to be applied, as has been well said in one memorable phrase of the 007 series : "If God had wanted man to fly ... Would have given him wings! "Outside the flight, another factor that complicates its very successful implementation is the distance. For this I was careful to call the King of the Impossible Shots, the Nadia Comaneci of street fights, man floats in the air and made helicopter hummingbird, more stylish than the Travolta Saturday Night Fever ... The UNKNOWN HINDU !

(Of course that the distance is proposital, he has a plan.)

Ok comes to an end this situation with the scene of the week, this was very easy. Of course we can not talk about this kick without the patron Karate Kid, but my intention was to talk about the legendary shot of Kevin Bacon in the final scene of Footloose, we'll look it in the future.

Kevin Bacon em Footloose!

Kevin Bacon in Footloose!

Pereira: Se o nosso colunista nao acha, o Blog acha pra ele: "KEVIN BACON FLYING KICK!"

Peartree(12G VT): If our columnist dont find, we find for him: KEVIN BACON FLYING KICK!"

Completed the pilot if you read this far deserves a prize. See the entire sequence of the struggle of the Unknown Hindu

While the city of São Paulo is under water , the city of Rio de Janeiro is under a sun with biblic characteristics!
The inconvenient star-king (And I´m not talking about Jack Nicholson), is letting even the nights ultra-hots! And was in this extreme hot wheater, that Si Sok Ursula (11G VT) did a Ving Tsun Lecture in Ipanema (South Zone of Rio).

The Kung Fu Family and people interested in Ving Tsun fill the place to watch

I was stucked in Traffic from my house to the place of the Lecture under a devil sun! If you look to my face when Si Sok called me to do a demonstration with her you can notice that!

Here, Si Sok talks about how to receive a crises situation considerating the scenario.
Apesar do horário e do calor, o local estava cheio de pessoas interessadas.

Even with the hot wheather and the time, the place was full of interested people.

The owner of the place: Luciana Leon, dressing yellow, watches from the door.

ESPECIAL CHI GEUK PARTE 2 (CHI GEUK SPECIAL PART 2)

Going on with the Chi Guek Special, after talk about stance, lets see some kicks..
We saw on the last post of this special, that before anything you have to know how to "stand" in Ving Tsun. Rooted, knowing what are you doing, 'cause if you have to kick, you would have a strong leg keeping you.

The legs and feet Ving Tsun are not use just for kicks. They protect a part of the body, that the hands could not cover well. So one of the first things that the practitioner notices when came for the first kick class, is a strange feeling about intercept a kick with another...

Bellow, you see the first kick trainning of Raphael(12G VT) from Meier Studio. Notice that he is not confident in the concept, so he just try to defend himself of my kicks using his ding geuk as a barrier:

(Master Julio(11G VT) and his Si Dai Flavio Laplace in an old picture of kick training next to a beach in Rio. Notice that Master Julio interact with Flavio´s kick with another kick and not with his hand.)

This is a shock to the begginer . 'cause its hard to think in other way to protect from a kick using anything that are not the arms.

(In 1999: My mom prohibited me to return to Tae Kwon Do classes after see my arms all hurt after a trainning using them to defend kicks.)

(Master Leo Imamura(10G VT) walks between the official from Military Police of Rio de Janeiro Special Batallion with the young Si Sok Ursula(11G VT) his disciple, by his side.)

A lot of people in Brazil, calls the Ving Tsun´s Ding Geuk kick as "barrier kick". It is true that sometimes, you block an oponnet´s kick with your foot, like a barrier, but you can not lock the idea only in this.

(During a demosntration in the middle of the 90's in a University of Sao Paulo, Master Leo Imamura(10G VT) interact with the oponnent´s leg using a different movement than a barrier.)

Ding Geuk sometimes will cover the distance between you and the other person, other times will intercept a kick, and other times you will kick just because the situation needs that!

As you fight in Ving Tsun stading with the front of your body to the oponnent, you can use the kick as a third attack during a movement with the two hand(as we see the young Master Julio do in the photo above). So you see that only a leg left on the floor. Thats why we must trainning our horse very much in Siu Nim tau.

But it doesnt mean that in a extreme situation the practitioner will not use his hand to block a kick.

(Master Leo Imamura dont let the young Master Julio use his legs only closing the space between them and making that Master Julio loses his Dui yen.)

As we see, sometimes a kick can be blocked before he becomes a kick, just using the Jaau Waai.

So even being a poor post, trough this we can see that at least in Brazil call the Ding geuk as "Barrier kick" is a way to not look to all the possibilities of that.

The Ding geuk open doors for a lot of possibilities. Its funcionality is linked to what the situation "asks" to you. And not with you want.

Next post of this Special, the horizontal kick of Ving tsun: Waang Geuk!

Now stay with a horizontal kick demonstration of Bruce Lee!!

One of the most wanted colunms here is the Movie Reviews!
Now, for a new year the blog brings a new columnist for a new colunm every Thursday!

Hehehe).

Fernando Xavier - To Dai de Mestre Julio Camacho

Adding a little more spice to what is commonly know as Movie Review, Cine Martia Arts, will address the theme Martial Art by different angles.Unsurprisingly the martial art is present in every kind of situation everyday, and in many everyday situations we do not see Martial´s eyes? On this basis, we relax with a few snippets of movies that usually do not win a review, a different reading of the films to combat or any event worth a comment ... in any type of media.Ah?! It is worth remembering ... Martial Art is a term composed of two words, Cine Martial Arts will bring a bit of information and hopelessness of all your mind.Have fun!

(if that is possible. Hehehe)

Fernando Xavier (12G VT) - To dai of Master Julio Camacho
