Conhecido em todo o mundo graças a música de Tom Jobim e Vinícius de Morais. O bairro de Ipanema na região da Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro, tem um Núcleo Certificado da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. Este local é dirigido por Cláudio Teixeira "Moy Kat Jo".

Claudio tem se mostrado um dos grandes exemplos do que uma relação de confiança entre Si Fu(師父 ) e To Dai(徒弟) é capaz de promover. 

Known all over the world thanks to the music of Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Morais. The Ipanema neighborhood in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, has a Certified School of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. This school is run by Cláudio Teixeira "Moy Kat Jo".

Claudio has proved to be one of the great examples of what a relationship of trust between Si Fu (師父) and To Dai (徒弟) is capable of promoting.

O termo do dialeto cantonês  "Si Fu(師父 )" , é o que usamos para nos referirmos à figura de quem em português chamamos de "Mestre". A pouca abrangência de nosso idioma quando comparado ao dialeto cantonês, não contempla tudo que este termo pode vir a significar. Observe por exemplo, que o "Fu"(父) de Si Fu(師父 ). É um ideograma que simboliza um homem segurando, com os dois braços erguidos, duas armas. Este ideograma (父 ) representa um dos trabalhos mais difíceis de um Si Fu(師父 ) a meu ver: O de proteger, por diferentes perspectivas, o caminho para que o tolo  To Dai(徒弟) possa ter a mínima chance de segui-lo. 

The Cantonese dialect term "Si Fu (師父)", is what we use to refer to the figure of whom in western languages we call "Master". The little coverage of our western languages when compared to the Cantonese dialect, does not include everything that this term may come to mean. Note, for example, that the "Fu" (父) of Si Fu (師父). It is an ideogram that symbolizes a man holding, with both arms raised, two weapons. This ideogram (父) represents one of the most difficult tasks of a Si Fu (師父) in my view: That of protecting, from different perspectives, the way so that the fool To Dai (徒弟) can have the slightest chance of following him .

Dentre essas perspectivas de "proteção", talvez uma das mais desafiadoras seja a de proteger o  To Dai(徒弟) dele próprio. Pois num processo de desenvolvimento humano, a cada camada inútil que é retirada de nossa psiché, através de uma combinação entre experiência marcial e "Vida-Kung Fu". Acabamos por nos redescobrir. E nesse processo de redescoberta, muitas vezes começamos a não gostar do que vamos encontrando, começamos a resistir à mudança. Pois estamos tão comprometidos com nosso ciclo vicioso, que mudar dói. E aí nos auto sabotamos.  Nosso Si Fu(師父 ) então hora nos toma pela mão, por vezes diminui o passo para que possamos continuar seguindo-o. Ou até mesmo, deixa o "vazio", para que nos recuperemos por si mesmos.

Among these "protection" perspectives, perhaps one of the most challenging is that of protecting the To Dai (徒弟) from himself. Because in a process of human development, each useless layer that is removed from our psyche, through a combination of martial experience and "Kung Fu-Life". We ended up rediscovering ourselves. And in this process of rediscovery, we often start to dislike what we find, we start to resist change. Because we are so committed to our vicious cycle, that change hurts. And then we sabotage ourselves. Our Si Fu (師父) then takes us by the hand, sometimes slowing down so we can continue to follow him. Or even, he leaves the "emptiness" so that we can recover on our own.

Na última visita do meu Si Fu(師父 ) ao Brasil, foi profundamente tocante observar todo o empenho de Claudio Teixeira (foto) em promover o melhor evento possível, tomando a frente do mesmo. Claudio, irreconhecível, mostrava uma agressividade direcionada muito inspiradora. Desde o pré-evento organizando inúmeros encontros, sempre se ajustando aos diferentes humores de seus pares. Até mesmo o pós-evento, trazendo à consciência de todos a importância de seguir com a mesma energia. 

On the last visit of my Si Fu (師父) to Brazil, it was deeply touching to observe all the efforts of Claudio Teixeira (photo) in promoting the best possible event, taking the lead. Claudio, unrecognizable, showed a very inspiring directed aggressiveness. Since the pre-event organizing numerous meetings, he has always adjusted to the different moods of his peers. Even the post-event, bringing to everyone's awareness the importance of following with the same energy.

Essa mudança de conduta do Claudio Teixeira, não ocorreu somente no evento. Ela vem se manifestando no dia a dia. Descobrimos em Claudio alguém muito disposto a inovações e muito preocupado com o futuro da Família-Kung Fu. Sua energia para que as coisas aconteçam, tem estado tão forte, que para alguém orgulhoso como eu. Sempre me lembra de aumentar ainda mais a velocidade do que faço, para não ficar para trás. 

This change in behavior by Claudio Teixeira did not occur only at the event. It has been manifesting itself on a daily basis. We found in Claudio someone very willing to innovate and very concerned with the future of the Kung Fu Family. His energy to make things happen, has been so strong, that for someone proud like me. It always reminds me to speed up even more than I do, so I don't fall behind.

Por vezes, olhei para o Claudio durante o evento, e ao observar sua conduta que era a de alguém que queria fazer dar certo. Que não queria perder tempo com discussões desnecessárias.  Só me fazia pensar em uma coisa: "O Si Fu(師父 ) é f***!". - Não desmerecendo o esforço do Cláudio para empreender essa mudança de postura. Mas foram vinte anos de um investimento paciente de nosso Si Fu(師父 ) nesta relação. Foram vinte anos, por vezes, acreditando mais no Cláudio do que ele mesmo. E o resultado está aí. E o Cláudio ainda nem começou a explorar seu potencial. 

E no final de tudo isso, só espero realmente, ter essa capacidade monstruosa de acreditar  em um To Dai(徒弟), ainda que ele faça de tudo para me convencer a desistir dele. Pois o novo Cláudio Teixeira, mostrou que a recompensa do investimento paciente, chega. E quando chega, é algo inspirador.

Sometimes, I looked at Claudio during the event, and observing his behavior of someone who wanted to make it work. That didn't want to waste time on unnecessary arguments. It just made me think of one thing: "My Si Fu (師父) is the man!". - Not detracting from Claudio's effort to undertake this change in posture. But it was twenty years of patient investment by our Si Fu (師父) in this relationship. It was twenty years, sometimes, believing in Claudio more than himself. And the result is there. And Cláudio hasn't even started to explore his potential.

And at the end of it all, I really only hope that I have this monstrous ability to believe in a To Dai (徒弟), even though he does everything to convince me to give up on him. Because the new Cláudio Teixeira, showed that the reward of patient investment is great. And when it arrives, it is something inspiring.
