Ainda posso lembrar de alguma tarde do último "Ano do Porco", quando sozinho com minha professora de chinês,a respeitadíssima Sra Lily Ou Yee Fen, na sala 130 de uma das antigas sedes do Núcleo Barra,aprendi a expressão chinesa "Zài Jiàn"(再见). 
Quando começamos as aulas de chinês, a turma era composta por mim, pela Paula Gama, Xenia D'avila, William Franco e o Si Fu acompanhava. Àquela altura,apenas Paula me fazia companhia, mas já vinha faltando fazia muito tempo. Sozinho com a professora,pude aperfeiçoar ainda mais o estudo desse idioma. Perguntei naquela tarde, se "ZàiJiàn" significava "Bye Bye". A professora respondeu algo como : "Significar ver de novo em breve". 
Inconformado com a resposta, perguntei como dizer  apenas "Tchau!" .A "Laoshi" (Professora)nunca perdia a paciência, mas sabia quando me dar um 'corte' para que eu parasse de atrapalhar o seguimento da aula. Disse ela algo como: " Se você não sabe quando ver a pessoa de novo, dizer 'ZàiHuì'(再会), quarto tom, significa: 'Esperar encontrar de novo um dia.' - Ela pausou e disse: - 'Mas Thiago, 'só se não saber quando'...Por isso, melhor 'ZàiJiàn' ..." - Eu não consegui entender bem a diferença.

I can still remember some afternoon of the last "Year of the Pig", when alone with my Chinese teacher, the respected Mrs. Lily Ou Yee Fen, in room 130 of one of the former headquarters of my Si Fu´s schools, I learned the Chinese expression "Zài Jiàn" (再见).
When we started classes in Chinese, the class was composed by me, Paula Gama, Xenia D'avila, William Franco and Si Fu accompanied. At that point, only Paula kept me company, but she had been missing for a long time the classes. Alone with the teacher, I was able to further improve the study of this language. I asked that afternoon if "ZàiJiàn" meant "Bye Bye". The teacher answered something like: "Meaning to see again soon."

Discontented with the answer, I asked how to just say "Bye!" "Laoshi" (Teacher) never lost her temper, but she knew when to give me a 'cut' so I would stop messing up the lesson. She said something like, "If you do not know when to see the person again, say 'ZàiHuì' (再 会), fourth tone, means: 'Expect to meet again one day.' She paused and said, 'But Thiago,' if you do not know when ... 'So, better' ZàiJiàn '... "- I could not quite understand the difference.

 Helena Carneiro, minha querida si jeh e amiga, é pra mim e pra muitos uma referência dentro da Família Moy Lin Mah. Foi uma das pessoas que mais marcaram (e ainda marcam) a minha vida dentro do meio marcial, sempre estando comigo e dando suporte nos mais diversos momentos desses quase 5 anos de convivência.

Helena Carneiro, my dear Si Jeh and friend, is for me and for many a reference within the Moy Lin Mah Family. She was one of the people that marked and marked my life in the martial, always being with me and giving support in the most diverse moments of these almost 5 years of coexistence.

Não foram poucos os momentos que me marcaram nesse período, desde os bons com as risadas e as implicâncias até os não tão bons, com a tensão nos pré-eventos e os sermões da si fu quando falhávamos. Por isso, ficar sem o nosso convívio direto a partir de agora me faz querer ter aproveitado mais esses momentos com ela.
Ainda é difícil entender que não vou vê-la mais toda semana ao chegar no Mo Gun, nem receber os puxões de orelha de costume (só virtualmente rs!), mas sei que a sua energia ficará conosco mesmo com ela longe.

There were few moments that marked me in this period, from the good ones with the laughter and the implications to the not so good, with the tension in the pre-events and the sermons of the Si Fu when we failed. So, being without our direct acquaintance from now on makes me want to have made more use of those moments with her.
It's still difficult to understand that I will not see her more every week upon arriving at the Mo Gun, nor receive the usual ear-pulling (only virtually!), But I know that her energy will stay with us even with her away.

Espero que toda a família possa honrá-la nesses próximos dois anos dando o melhor de pela Si Fu e pelo Mo Gun, pois nesse quesito ela sempre foi a melhor de nós; e também espero que ela brilhe em Portugal como brilha aqui, porque pra mim foi isso que ela nasceu pra fazer.

I hope the whole family can honor her in the next two years giving the best of Si Fu and Mo Gun, because in this matter she has always been the best of us; and I also hope she shines in Portugal as she shines here, because for me that's what she was born to do.

Depois de me despedir da minha Si Jeh Helena Carneiro, fui em buscar de um local no aeroporto para praticar Chi Sau com meu Si Hing Heitor Furtado, a pedido da nossa Si Fu.

After saying goodbye to my Si Jeh Helena Carneiro, I went to one place at the airport to practice Chi Sau with my Si Hing Heitor Heitor at our Si Fu's request.

Encontramos um local atrás de uma cafeteria, onde não haviam muitas pessoas transitando, para que tivéssemos mais espaço e privacidade. Lá, começamos a praticar sob o olhar da minha Si Fu Ursula Lima, do Mestre Thiago Pereira, da minha Si Jeh Lívia Furtado, do meu Si Dai Miguel Andrade e de alguns curiosos que passavam nos arredores.

We found a place behind a cafeteria, where there were not many people walking around, so we had more space and privacy. There, we began to practice under the eyes of my Si Fu Ursula Lima, Master Thiago Pereira, Si Jeh Lívia Furtado, Si Dai Miguel Andrade and some curious people who passed by.

Fazia tempo que eu não praticava com meu Si Hing, e quando começamos, demoramos um pouco para nos acostumarmos com a natureza um do outro. Enquanto isso, eu lembrava da experiência que tive na semana anterior onde minha si fu me chamou a atenção para o fato de que eu estava fazendo meu Chi Sau sozinho, e não com o outro, e tentava ao máximo não deixar isso acontecer de novo.

It's been a long time since I've been practicing with my Si Hing, and when we started, it took us a while to get used to each other's nature. In the meantime, I remembered the experience I had the week before where my si fu drew my attention to the fact that I was doing my Chi Sau alone, not with the other, and I tried my best not to let it happen again.

Em alguns momentos a Si Fu(foto) levantava para mostrar alguma coisa que nós não estávamos conseguindo ver sozinhos, e assim prosseguíamos também ajudando um ao outro em certos momentos.
Durante essa experiência pude entender um pouco mais sobre o que a Si Fu quis dizer sobre estar fazendo Chi Sau sozinho, que ler o que o outro diz para você é essencial e que com quanto mais pessoas você troca essas leituras, mais rico fica o seu vocabulário.

Si Fu(photo) sometimes stood up to show us something that we were not able to see alone, and so we continued to help each other at certain times.

During this experience I was able to understand a little more about what Si Fu meant about doing Chi Sau alone, that reading what the other says to you is essential and that the more people you exchange these readings the richer your vocabulary.

Logo após Si Jeh Helena ter cruzado o portão de embarque, nos despedimos ainda emocionados de sua família. Minha Si Fu, já tendo antecipado a oportunidade que se apresentava diante de nós me perguntou: “Onde iremos praticar, Heitor?”.

Just after Si Jeh Helena had crossed the boarding gate, we said goodbye to her family. My Si Fu, having already anticipated the opportunity before us, asked me: "Where will we practice, Heitor?"

Mais cedo, enquanto combinávamos via whastapp como nos encontraríamos no aeroporto para a despedida da Si Jeh Helena, Si Fu havia sugerido que aproveitássemos a presença do Si Hing Thiago Pereira e todo o espaço livre que havia disponível no Galeão, para realizarmos nossa prática de Kung Fu. Achei curiosa a ideia e imediatamente fiz uma associação de ponte aérea com a ponte curta do Cham Kiu, domínio no qual me encontro atualmente.

Earlier, while we were combining via whastapp as we would meet at the airport for Si Jeh Helena's farewell, Si Fu had suggested that we take advantage of the presence of Si Hing Thiago Pereira and all the free space available at Galeão for our Kung Fu practice. I found the idea curious and immediately made an association of aerial bridge with the short bridge of Cham Kiu, domain in which I am currently.

Si hing Thiago Pereira(FOTO) me convidou para escrever um relato a respeito de um momento marcante e muito especial para a família Moy Lin Mah. Na quarta-feira passada, dia 30 de janeiro, minha Si Fu, Mestra Ursula Lima(FOTO), líder da Família Moy Lin Mah, meu Si Hing, Mestre Thiago Pereira, líder da Família Moy Fat Lei, Vitor Antônio, Miguel Andrade, minha esposa Livia Furtado e eu, membros da família Moy Lin Mah, fomos até o aeroporto do Galeão para aproveitar os momentos que antecederam a partida da nossa Si Jeh Helena Carneiro (Moy Gap Lin) para Portugal, onde fará um mestrado em Barcelos.

Si hing Thiago Pereira (PHOTO) invited me to write an article of a very special moment for the Moy Lin Mah family. Last Wednesday, January 30, my Si Fu, Master Ursula Lima (PHOTO) , leader of the Moy Lin Mah Family, my Si Hing, Master Thiago Pereira, leader of the Moy Fat Lei Family, Vitor Antônio, Miguel Andrade, my wife Livia Furtado and I, members of the Moy Lin Mah family, went to Galeão airport to take advantage of the moments that preceded the departure of our Si Jeh Helena Carneiro (Moy Gap Lin) to Portugal, where she will do a masters degree in Barcelos.

Reunimos as famílias de Helena (a consanguíneo e a Kung Fu) em um café e, em meio aos sorrisos e conversas estava evidente o quanto Moy Gap Lin, discípula da Mestra Ursula Lima, era querida por todos ali e por muitos mais, que não puderam comparecer ao aeroporto, mas fizeram questão de prestigiá-la durante sua emocionante cerimônia de acesso ao nível Mui Fa Jong, que contou presenças ilustres como Mestre Julio Camacho, Líder do Clã  Moy Jo Lei Ou, Mestre Ricardo Queiroz, Líder da Família Moy Ke Lo Si , Mestre Thiago Pereira , Líder da Família Moy Fat Lei e Mestre Diego Guadelupe, líder da futura família Moy Ga Dai Lap entre outras. 

We gathered the families of Helena (inbred and Kung Fu) in a cafe, and amid the smiles and conversations it was evident how much Moy Gap Lin, disciple of Master Ursula Lima, was loved by all there and by many others, who did not were able to attend the airport, but made a point of honoring her during her touching ceremony of access to the level Moy Fa Jong, which featured illustrious presences such as Master Julio Camacho, Leader of Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan, Master Ricardo Queiroz, Leader of the Moy Ke Family Lo Si, and Master Diego Guadelupe, leader of the future family Moy Ga Dai Lap among others.

Minha Si Jeh é uma pessoa formidável! Conseguiu se fazer sempre presente e se tornar extremamente importante no Núcleo Copacabana da Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence, com sua dedicação e zêlo pela nossa Si Fu, seu bom humor, talento e muito kung fu.

My Si Jeh is a formidable person! She was always present and extremely important in the Copacabana School of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence, with her dedication and zeal for our Si Fu, her good humor, talent and much kung fu.

Naquela tarde, a medida em que o tempo passava, tive a oportunidade de observar como o cuidado e carinho especial entre mestra e discípula se harmonizava com os laços familiares quase que de forma complementar.

Quando então nos dirigimos para o portão de embarque a emoção tomou conta de todos. Com os olhos transbordando sentimento, muitos abraços longos e apertados foram dados, mas não deram conta do carinho e dos desejos de boa sorte e sucesso para esta jornada que seguia com o vôo de Moy Gap Lin.

That afternoon, as time passed, I had the opportunity to observe how the special care and affection between teacher and disciple harmonized with family ties almost in a complementary way. As we drove to the boarding gate, the emotion took over. With eyes overflowing with feeling, many long and tight hugs were given, but they did not account for the affection and wishes of good luck and success for this journey that followed with the flight of Moy Gap Lin.

Apesar da distância do Núcleo Copacabana, sabemos que estaremos sempre por perto, em nossos corações, lembranças e claro, nas conversas via whastapp :). Além disso, Si jeh Helena passa a integrar o braço da família Moy Lin Mah em Portugal, junto com Si Jeh Angela Carvalho, Sushma e Daniel Junior. Novas oportunidades podem surgir deste vôo. Este promete ser um tempo de um novo desabrochar para nossa Si Jeh Helena e também para a nossa família Moy Lin Mah.

Despite the distance from the Copacabana School, we know that she will always be around, in our hearts, memories and of course, in conversations via whastapp :). In addition, Si jeh Helena joins the arm of the Moy Lin Mah family in Portugal, along with Si Jeh Angela Carvalho, Sushma and Daniel Junior. New opportunities may arise from this flight. This promises to be a time of a new blossoming for our Si Jeh Helena and also for our family Moy Lin Mah.

Voltando a falar dos meus estudos de chinês,quanto a mim, foi necessário um ciclo inteiro de doze anos, para justamente na entrada deste "Ano do Porco", ao ver Helena se despedindo(FOTO), concordar com a Laoshi: É melhor dizer "ZaìJiàn" ("Ver de novo em breve"). Ou, como diria Evandro Mesquita em um dos hinos da BLITZ: "...Bye Bye, baby, Bye Bye..."

Back to my studies in Chinese, as for me, it took a whole cycle of twelve years, for just at the entrance of this "Year of the Pig", when I saw Helena saying goodbye (PHOTO), agree with Laoshi: It is better to say "ZaìJiàn". Or as Evandro Mesquita would say in one of BLITZ (brazilian rock band) hits: "... Bye Bye, baby, Bye Bye ..."
