NOMECLATURA DO KUNG FU (PARTE 4) / KUNG FU FAMILY'S DENOMINATIONS(PART4)

Graças as gentis palavras do Si Hing Tarcilio Martins, praticante de outra linhagem que reside na cidade de Fortaleza no estado do Ceará, me inspirei para a quarta parte de nosso estudo sobre as nomeclaturas usadas na Família Kung Fu de forma geral.

Thanks for the kind words of Si Hing Tarcilio Martins, practitioner of another Ving Tsun lineage that resides in the city of Fortaleza in Ceara state, inspired me to the fourth part of our study on the nomenclature used in Kung Fu Family in general.

Quando meu Si Fu Julio Camacho recebeu esta placa das mãos de seu Si Fu e de sua Si Mo autorizando-o a iniciar formalmente sua carreira como Si Fu sob os auspicios da Moy Yat Ving Tsun, o Núcleo Rio de Janeiro nunca mais seria o mesmo...

Até então todos que entravam no Núcleo RJ, e ingressavam na Família Kung Fu, se tornavam To Dai de Mestre Leo Imamura, já que Julio Camacho na época era o membro mais antigo de sua Familia no Núcleo Rio de Janeiro sendo chamado por todos de Si Hing .

Quando Julio Camacho tornou-se "Si Fu Julio Camacho", os praticantes que entravam no Nucleo Rio, ingressavam agora em sua Familia Kung Fu, a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, da qual faço parte. 

Assim, sendo novos termos como "Si Sok" e "Si Baak", começaram a ser usados com mais frequência...

When my Si Fu Julio Camacho received this plaque from the hands of his Si Fu and Si Mo , he became formally authorized to start his career as a Si Fu under the auspices of the Moy Yat Ving Tsun, and the Rio de Janeiro MYVT branch would never be the same ...
 

Until then everyone who entered the Rio Branch, and joined the Family Kung Fu, became To Dai of Master Leo Imamura(10G VT), since Julio Camacho at the time was the oldest member of his family in Rio de Janeiro being called for all by Si Hing.
 

When Julio Camacho became "Si Fu Julio Camacho(11G VT)", the new people started to join his Family,Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, to which I belong.
So, being new terms such as "Si Sok" and "Si Baak," began to be used more often ...

Mas o que é "SI SOK"??
But what is a "Si Sok"??

Na Cultura Chinesa existe uma grande valorização do "Mais velho" , do "mais antigo"... e isso ocorre em diferentes níveis.

Se você considerar que o Si Fu é o "pai"(já que "Fu" tem esse significado) e Si Mo é considerada como "Mãe"("Mo" significa "Mãe") na Família Kung Fu. Você vai concordar, que seu "pai kung fu"(se me permitem esse termo) tem irmãos mais velhos, e irmãos mais novos no Kung Fu.

Assim sendo, você terá tios mais velhos e tios mais novos.

Ursula Lima, enquanto irmã mais nova de meu Si Fu, passa a ser minha tia mais nova: SI SOK URSULA

In Chinese culture there is great appreciation of the "Older", the "oldest" ... and this occurs at different levels.

If you consider that Si Fu is the "father" (as "Fu" has this meaning) and Si Mo is regarded as "Mother" ("Mo" means "Mother") in the Kung Fu Family . You will agree that a "kung fu father" (if I may use that term) have older brothers and younger brothers in Kung Fu.

Therefore, you have older and younger uncles and aunties.

Ursula Lima(11G VT), while younger sister of my Si Fu, becomes my youngest aunt: SOK SI URSULA

師叔

(Si Sok)

Este é um termo muito lido aqui  e que pode ser usado para homens e mulheres dentro do Kung Fu(ainda que "tia" tenha diferentes formas de escrita para mulheres)onde:

This a term very often written here, and it can be used inside "Kung Fu World" for men and women(even "aunt" in chinese has a different character)

師(si) - Este ideograma se refere a um "Modelo" , alguém que "sabe mais sobre alguma coisa"
                     - This Character refers to a "Model", someone "who knows something better than you".

叔(Sok) - Significa "Tio mais novo"
                      -means "younger uncle" (or even "Younger aunt" in Kung Fu)

Mestre Anderson Maia , assim como minha Si Mo Daniela Camacho, de fato parecem ter o poder de regeneração espontânea do Wolverine pois não envelhecem um dia sequer ..rs Como vemos nessa foto de Mestre Anderson e seu Si Fu Leo Imamura.

Mestre Anderson é responsável pelo Núcleo Belo Horizonte e é Si Hing(irmão mais velho) de meu Si Fu, o que faz dele meu "SI BAAK".

Master Anderson Maia(11G VT), as well as my Si Mo Daniela Camacho(11G VT), do seem to have the power of spontaneous regeneration of Wolverine for not age a single day .. hehe As we see in this photo of Anderson and his Si Fu, Master  Leo Imamura(10G VT).
 

Master Anderson is responsible for the MYVT Branch in Belo Horizonte(State of Minas Gerais). he is Si Hing (older brother) of my Si Fu, which makes him my "Si Baak."
 

師伯

(Si Baak)

A lógica é a mesma, sendo que "Baak"(伯) significa "tio mais velho".
The logic is the same, but  "Baak"(伯) means "older uncle"

 Xenia D'avila(foto acima) por sua vez, foi a primeira mulher a se tornar membro vitálicio da 

Família Moy Jo Lei Ou,tornando-se discípula de Si Fu Julio Camacho.

Xenia D'Avila*(photo) was the first woman to become disciple of Si Fu Julio Camacho.

*You have to read "Shenia"

Mas se Xenia é discipula de Si Fu Julio Camacho, isso faz com que Ursula Lima seja sua Si Sok(師叔 )e que Mestre Anderson Maia seja seu Si Baak(師伯).Ou seja, são respectivamente seus tios mais novo e mais velho. O que faz dela uma "sobrinha"...ou uma... 

But if Xenia(12G VT) is disciple of Si Fu Julio(11G VT) it makes Ursula Lima her Si Sok(師叔 )and Master Anderson Maia her Si Baak(師伯). What means that Si Sok Ursula is her "younger aunt(uncle)" and Si Baak Anderson is her "older uncle". So she is a "nephew"... you can say...

師侄
(Si Jat)

"Si(師)" é o mesmo de Si Sok e Si Baak, mas o ideograma Jat(侄) significa "sobrinho"...

...That her is a Si Jat.

"Si(師)"  is the same of Si Sok and Si Baak , but the ideogram Jat(侄) meand nephew...

 Na foto acima, vemos Si Taai Gung Moy Yat, mas eu chamo a atenção para o primeiro rapaz da direita para a esquerda: Nosso querido Mestre Lester Lau!

Veja bem: Se o Si Fu é o seu "pai" no Kung Fu, e o Si Fu de seu Si Fu que é o Si Gung é o seu "avô" no Kung Fu. Como chamar então um Si Hing(irmão mais velho) de seu Si Gung?

In the photo above, we see Si Taai Gung Moy Yat(10G VT), but I call attention to the first boy from right to left: Our dear Master Lester Lau(10G VT)!
 

Look: If Si Fu is your "father" in Kung Fu, And  his Si Fu which is Si Gung is your "grandfather" in Kung Fu. How then call a Si Hing (older brother) of your Si Gung?

(Si Baak Gung)

Ou seja, Mestre Lester Lau, é meu Si Baak Gung(師伯公) , meu "tio avô mais velho".

E um Si Dai(irmão mais novo) de meu Si Gung Leo Imamura?

É fácil!

Master Lester is my "Si Baak Gung"(師伯公), is my "older grandpa-uncle*" (*I dunno how to say in english)

And a Si Dai(younger brother of my Si Gung Leo? How can I call this person? 

師叔公

(Si Sok Gung) 

Ou seja: Seria um "Tio avô mais novo".

Si Sok Gung!

"Younger granpa-uncle"

Porém devemos lembrar que "sobrinho","sobrinha", "tia mais nova", "tia mais velha", etc etc.. Tem suas próprias formas de serem escritas. Mas dentro do Kung Fu, não há problema nem mesmo em chamar uma mulher de "Si Hing"(irmão mais velho). Pois caso contrário, uma mulher nunca poderia ser chamada "Si Fu".

But we have to remember that this kind of use of this terms is for Kung Fu Family. You can even call a woman as "Si Hing" , even that means "older brother"... but for daily life you have antoher words.
