DINNER WITH THE DAAI SI HING

 

Já se passaram sete anos desde a minha titulação e do meu Si Hing Leonardo Reis. Fomos os primeiros de nossa geração a receber esse título na América Latina dentro da Linhagem Moy Yat. Mais tarde em Brasília, recebemos o mesmo título, só que desta vez pela Federação Internacional. E nesse meio tempo, eu decidi me tornar Líder de uma Família Kung Fu, e isso transformou a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou em um Clã. E assim permanecemos desde então. 

Dentro de nossas afinidades, Si Hing compartilha comigo o gosto por histórias de fantasia,[mais precisamente 'Espada e Feitiçaria'] que muitos como eu, atribuem ao Robert E. Howard a criação desse gênero. Nele, geralmente temos a figura de um bárbaro que passa por várias profissões ou não. Ele pode ser um 'escolhido' que precisa cumprir uma profecia, ou um aventureiro que vivencia muitas facetas da vida. Porém, esses heróis quando chegam numa idade mais madura, são representados como uma figura melancólica. Isso ocorre, porque eles sentem falta dos tempos da juventude onde podiam vivenciar grandes feitos, e que não conseguiram se dar conta dos desafios menos físicos porém muito mais complexos, que a vida de aventura na fase madura da vida guarda. Eles são coroados, mas desprezam a coroa, com saudades de serem soldados. 

Eu encontrei o meu Si Hing para um jantar de encerramento do ano[FOTO], marcamos num restaurante italiano novo que abriu no Barra Shopping e que gostei muito. Quando cheguei, Si hing já me esperava a mesa. Pedimos uma entrada e conversamos sobre a vida durante essa etapa inicial. E bem, eu não tinha um objetivo em mente com esse jantar, mas duas coisas me levaram até lá além do carinho por ele : Em primeiro lugar, um desejo mútuo de que os irmãos Kung Fu em nossa Família, desenvolvam relações que possam ir além da simples amizade, sem que sejam intermediadas pela presença do Si Fu ou por um pedido dele.  

Sobre a segunda questão que levei comigo naquele dia, resolvi abordar Si Hing de uma maneira diferente... Pois Si Fu sempre falou sobre a característica chinesa de se falar pouco. Pois quanto mais você fala, mais informações você dá a outra pessoa. Dizer apenas o suficiente para provocar o outro a falar. - "...Porquanto , na perspectiva adotada por esse tratado, os interesses seriam necessariamente opostos entre os interlocutores, cada um fechado em sua posição, e o destinatário deve ser tomado por adversário..."( Jullien, F , 1997)

Seven years have passed since my Master degree ceremony and that of my Si Hing Leonardo Reis. We were the first of our generation to receive this title in Latin America within the Moy Yat Lineage. Later in Brasilia, we received the same title, only this time by the International Federation. And in the meantime, I decided to become the Leader of a Kung Fu Family, and that turned the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family into a Clan. And so we have remained ever since.

Within our affinities, Si Hing shares with me the taste for fantasy stories, more precisely 'Sword and Sorcery', which many like me, attribute to Robert E. Howard the creation of this genre. In it, we usually have the figure of a barbarian who goes through various professions or not. He may be a 'chosen one' who needs to fulfill a prophecy, or an adventurer who experiences many facets of life. However, these heroes when they reach a more mature age, are represented as a melancholy figure. This is because they miss the times of youth when they could experience great deeds, and were unable to realize the less physical but much more complex challenges that the adventurous life in the mature phase of life holds. They are crowned, but they despise the crown, longing to be soldiers.

I found my Si Hing for a year-end dinner, we booked at a new Italian restaurant that opened in Barra Mall and I really liked it. When I arrived, Si hing was already waiting for me at the table. We asked for a starter and talked about life during this early stage. And well, I didn't have a goal in mind with this dinner, but two things got me there besides affection for him: First, a mutual desire that the Kung Fu brothers in our Family, develop relationships that can go beyond of simple friendship, without being mediated by Si Fu's presence or by his request. And the second......

About the second question that I took with me that day, I decided to approach Si Hing in a different way... Because Si Fu always talked about the Chinese characteristic of speaking little. Because the more you talk, the more information you give the other person. Say just enough to provoke the other to talk. - "...Because, in the perspective adopted by this treaty, the interests would necessarily be opposed between the interlocutors, each one closed in his position, and the addressee must be taken as an adversary..."( Jullien, F , 1997)

Portanto, tentei discretamente compartilhar com Si Hing a respeito da conversa que tivera com Si Fu, para tentar humildemente me inserir como um membro da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou que de dentro possa dar uma diferença positiva em situações que necessitam disso. 

Então era como se de alguma maneira, eu estivesse me dispondo a vivenciar mais uma aventura do círculo marcial, já numa fase madura da minha jornada. Não queria ficar sentado observando como nossos heróis favoritos. Eu achei que fosse possível contribuir de maneira mais inteligente do que quando tinha mais condições físicas. Ou seja, como disse o Si Gung recentemente em uma LIVE, o pouco que eu posso dar hoje, é mais do que quando eu era jovem, pois atuo no meu máximo. 

No final das contas, sabia que teríamos um jantar ótimo, um grande momento de relação e o início de algo maior também em termos relacionais...

Therefore, I discreetly tried to share with Si Hing about the conversation I had with Si Fu, to humbly try to insert myself as a member of the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family that can make a positive difference in situations that need it.

So it was as if somehow, I was willing to experience another martial circle adventure, already in a mature phase of my journey. I didn't want to sit around and watch like our favorite heroes. I thought it was possible to contribute more intelligently than when I was more physically fit. That is, as Si Gung said recently in a LIVE, the little I can give today is more than when I was young, because I act at my best.

At the end of the day, I knew that we would have a great dinner, a great relationship moment and the beginning of something bigger also in relational terms...

Alguns dias depois estava junto de outros irmãos Kung fu coordenando um dia inteiro de encerramento para o ano de 2021, dando o tom para o ano próximo[FOTO]. Tudo com a anuência do Si Fu. Estava um pouco inseguro com a recepção dos mais antigos em relação a essa movimentação minha e o que eu tinha a dizer, pois receava uma certa resistencia por não ser o Si Fu falando. Ainda assim, correu tudo bem e tivemos um dia bem especial em termos práticos e conceituais. 

Acredito que hoje esteja em melhores condições de contribuir com a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, exatamente por ter escolhido ser um Líder de Família Kung Fu com meus próprios discípulos. Com isso, qualquer intepretação particular que tenha, posso explorar junto aos meus descendentes na minha própria Família, abrindo espaço para uma representação mais sintonizada com a do meu Si Fu em sua Família Kung Fu que eu também sou membro.

I was a little insecure with the reception of the older ones in relation to this movement of mine and what I had to say, because I feared a certain resistance because it was not Si Fu speaking. Still, everything went well and we had a very special day in practical and conceptual terms.

I believe that today I am in a better position to contribute to the Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, precisely because I chose to be a Kung Fu Family Leader with my own disciples. With that, any particular interpretation I have, I can explore with my descendants in my own Family, opening space for a representation more in tune with that of my Si Fu in his Kung Fu Family, which I am also a member of.
