Novos membros na Família Kung Fu (New members in Kung Fu family!)

Na manhã do último Sábado, dia 25 de Setembro de 2010, aconteceu o Hoi Kuen dos dois praticantes acima: Daniel de Caires e Leonardo Henrique na Família Moy Jo Lei Ou.

Si Fu classificou como o momento mais importante para um praticante,o seu "nascimento" para a Família Kung Fu. Fazendo ainda um paralelo com o próprio momento do nascimento de um ser humano: Ou seja, não importa o que aconteça depois, o determinante foi simplesmente o fato de você ter nascido.

On the morning of last Saturday,September, 25th , happened the Hoi Kuen  of the two practitioners above:Leonardo Henrique and Daniel de Caires into Moy Jo Lei Ou Family(11G VT).

Si Fu Julio Camacho(11G VT) ranked as the most important time for a practitioner, his "birth" for Family Kung Fu. Still making a parallel with the actual moment of birth of a human being: That is, no matter what happens next, the determinant is simply the fact you were born.

Para mim em particular foi um momento muito especial, pois venho tendo a oportunidade de trabalhar diretamente com os dois na Unidade Méier desde o dia em que começaram. Grandes laços se formaram entre nós, e este Hoi Kuen foi um momento oportuno para que estes laços se extendam para toda a Família Kung Fu e não só entre nós.

 For me in particular was a very special moment because I have had the opportunity to work directly with both at the MYVT Meier STUDIO since the day they started. Large bonds are formed between us, and this Hoi Kuen was an opportune time to extend these bonds for the whole Family Kung Fu and not just between us.

Leonardo Henrique tem 37 anos, é casado e possui um filho de 11 meses. Leo,como o chamamos,é um eterno apaixonado pelas artes marciais. A arte na qual passou mais tempo até hoje foi a também chinesa
Pak Tong Long, na mesma escola de onde veio seu Si Hing Rodrigo Demetrio.
Leo é um corredor amador e participa de inumeras competições de corrida. Realmente é algo impressionante. Se você disser que vai ter uma corrida para dar três voltas no quarteirão é bem capaz dele ir.

Mas de verdade, o que me impressiona mais no Leonardo, é que numa idade em que muitos homens se tornam sedentários inclusive em suas mentes, ele tem sucesso.

Leonardo Henrique has 37 years old, is married and has one son with 11 months old. Leo, as we call him, has an eternal love for martial arts. The art that he had spent more time till today was also the Chinese arte of Pak Tong Long, at the same school where came his Si Hing Rodrigo Demetrio(12G VT).Leo is an amateur runner and participates in numerous competitions of running. But really, what impresses me most in Leonardo, which is at an age when many people become sedentary even in their minds, he succeeds.

Leo enfrenta o trem lotado vindo da Central do Brasil até o Meier, pega seu filho na creche, e vai literalmente correndo até a Unidade Méier. E nunca, em nenhum momento reclamou de cansaço ou faltou a um treino por falta de disposição. Isso é algo em que me inspiro no Leo.

Outro fato bem marcante de sua personalidade, é a pureza com que vê as artes marciais. Por isso mesmo, vejo nele um potencial extraordinário para inspirar cada vez mais pessoas na Família Kung Fu além de mim.

Leo faces the crowded train coming from the famous "Central of Brazil train station till Meier Train Station, take his child in school, and literally run to the MYVT Meier Studio for trainning. And never, at no time complained of tiredness or skipped a workout because of lack of provision. This is something that inspires me in Leo.
Another very remarkable fact of his personality, is the purity that he sees the martial arts. Therefore, I see in him an extraordinary potential to inspire more people in the Family Kung Fu beyond me.

Daniel de Caires, é advogado e tem 27 anos. Me conheceu pelo Orkut e marcou uma visita a Unidade Méier depois de trocar alguns emails.
O caso de Daniel foi curioso no começo,pois ele tem uma lesão permanente oriunda de sua arte marcial anterior, e me disse que levaria um raio-x da lesão para que eu avaliasse.
Eu comentei com o Si Fu e este respondeu: "Pereira, você não é médico. Olhe com atenção o raio-x,mas lembre ao Daniel, que o principal responsável por não se machucar durante o treino será sempre ele mesmo."

Daniel de Caires, is a lawyer and have 27 years old. Met me at Orkut.com(a kind of facebook in Brazil) and booked an appointment at Meier Studio after exchanging some emails.

The case of Daniel was curious at first, because he has a permanent damage from his latest martial art , and told me that he would take an x-ray of the injury that I may assess.

I commented to Si Fu and he replied: "Pereira, you're not a doctor. Look closely at the x-ray, but remember to Daniel, who has primary responsibility for not getting hurt during training will always be himself."

Daniel é budista e ex-praticante de Aikido. Ele chegou com o coração inteiro para praticar o Ving Tsun. Rapidamente visitou o Mo Gun na Barra e conheceu o Si Fu, onde na ocasião levou sua noiva Iara. E também levou sua mãe na Cerimônia de Titulação de Mestre de Si Sok Ursula.

De fato, algumas pessoas parecem ser guiadas até a Familia Kung Fu pela afinidade que apresentam com todo o processo desde o início, e vejo o Daniel como uma destas pessoas. Em cada sessão, em cada momento, Daniel nunca julgou nada do que foi dito,aceitando e praticando, confiando muito no Ving Tsun, sendo assim um exemplo vivo da velha história de "manter a xícara vazia".

Daniel is a Buddhist and a former practitioner of Aikido. He arrived with all his heart to practice Ving Tsun. Quickly visited the Mo Gun and met Si Fu.

In fact, some people seem to be guided till Kung Fu Family showing a big affinity  from the very beginning, and I see Daniel as one of those people. In each session, in every moment, Daniel never replied anything of what was said,just accepting and practicing, relying heavily on Ving Tsun, and thus a living example of the old story of "keeping the cup empty ."

Mas eu não poderia deixar de falar da camisa que Si Fu usou neste Hoi Kuen: A do time argentino Boca Juniors, que foi dada a ele na mesma manhã pelo seu discipulo Carlos Antunes.

Si Fu comentou que achou muito interessante estar usando uma camisa de futebol num momento como este, pois quebra a fantasia do "Mestre de Kung Fu". Si Fu falou sobre o próprio termo "Si Fu" : "Nós tentamos traduzir "Si" como "Mestre" e "fu" como "Pai" , mas não é assim. Não são dois ideogramas separados, são dois ideogramas juntos que passam uma outra idéia. "Si Fu" é "Si Fu", mesmo porque "pai" se fala com a ajuda ainda de outro ideograma. E para cada pessoa o Si Fu vai representar algo diferente, por isso,não me congelem,não me idealizem para que a nossa relação possa ser viva."

Parabéns a Família Moy Jo Lei Ou e a Leonardo e Daniel.

But I could not stop without talking about the shirt that Si Fu wore in Hoi Kuen: The Argentine soccer team Boca Juniors t-shirt, which was given to him that morning by his disciple Carlos Antunes(12G VT).


Si Fu said that he found very interesting to be wearing a football shirt at a time like this because it breaks the fantasy of "Kung Fu Master".Si Fu spoke about the very term "Si Fu": "We tried to translate" Si "as" Master "and" fu "as" Father "but is not this way. There are two separate ideograms.two ideograms that are together has an another idea. "Si Fu" is "Si Fu," even  "father" is pronounced with the help of yet another ideogram. And for every person the "Si Fu" will represent something different, so do not freeze me, do not idealize me, so that our relationship can be alive. "
