FIVE SPECIAL MOMENTS WITH MASTER URSULA PART 1

(Lanche numa noite de Terça no bairro de Ipanema, antes das atividades no Estúdio Manas. Local onde Mestra Ursula Lima começou sua carreira na Zona Sul do Rio).

(Meal time on a Tuesday evening in the Ipanema neighborhood, before the activities in the Manas Studio, where Master Ursula Lima began her career in the South Zone of Rio).

Na semana em que Mestra Ursula Lima estará em Portugal pela primeira vez para promover o Ving Tsun da Linhagem Moy Yat. Reunirei a cada dia desta semana , um momento especial que vivi com ela ao longo de minha trajetória. Importante dizer, que alguns dos momentos mais emblemáticos em sua companhia, não foram registrados porque não era necessário. Momentos assim, basta guardarmos em nossos corações.

The week that Master Ursula Lima will be in Portugal for the first time to promote the Ving Tsun of the Moy Yat Lineage. I will gather every day of this week, a special moment that I have lived with her throughout my career. Importantly, some of the most iconic moments in her company were not recorded because it was not necessary. Moments like this, we just keep in our hearts.

Ainda posso lembrar, da primeira vez que preenchi uma ficha de locação para me tornar locatário de uma sala comercial, na qual funcionaria o primeiro Núcleo Certificado da Moy Yat Ving Tsun no Méier. O ano era 2011, eu tinha 28 anos e foi um caso de acreditar no sonho.
A foto acima, foi tirada na minha novíssima câmera, que ganhara de presente da Família Kung Fu, graças ao trabalho com o antigo "Blog do Pereira".
Si Suk Ursula não só fez o registro fotográfico de minha pessoa preenchendo a ficha, risos, mas também me ajudou a preenchê-la. Na época, ela dividia suas atividades como Tutora do Ving Tsun Experience no Estúdio Manas em Ipanema e como Coordenadora Geral do Núcleo Barra.

I can still remember the first time I filled out a rental file to become a renter of a commercial room, where the first Moy Yat Ving Tsun Certified School in Meier neighborhood would run wild. The year was 2011, I was 28 years old and it was a case of believing in the dream.
The photo above was taken with my brand new camera, which I had won as a gift from the Kung Fu Family thanks to the work with the old "Peartree´s Blog".
Si Suk Ursula not only did the photographic record of me filling the file, but also helped me to fill it. At the time, she shared her activities as a Ving Tsun Experience Tutor at the Manas Studio in Ipanema and as General Coordinator of the Barra da Tijuca School.

Havia pedido que Si Suk Ursula fizesse a gentileza de ir comigo até o bairro do Méier para me ajudar na locação da casa onde pensava que fosse o local ideal para o Mo Gun. Si Suk sempre foi famosa por sua capacidade de negociação, e achei que com minha pouca experiência num negócio envolvendo uma quantia significativa, tinha chances de me trazer consequências desastrosas.
Sendo assim, encontrei-a pela manhã na porta de sua casa. Ela preparava-se para deixar a jovem Rebeka na escolinha (foto).

I had asked Si Suk Ursula kindly to go with me to the Méier district to help me in the house where I thought it was the ideal place for the Mo Gun. Si Suk was always famous for her negotiating skills, and I found that with my little business experience involving a significant amount, it was likely to bring disastrous consequences.
So I met her in the morning at the door of her house. She was about to take his daughter Rebeka to the school (photo).

A casa era incrível! Possuia dois andares e ficava bem diante do Rio´s Gourmet. Um famoso restaurante do bairro do Méier. Minha ideia era morar em um dos quartos do andar de cima, e transformar o restante da casa em área útil para o Mo Gun.
Si Suk Ursula não só me ajudou a olhar pontos importantes da casa, como ficou por vários minutos tirando dúvidas com o proprietário do imóvel.

The house was amazing! It had two floors and was right in front of Rio's Gourmet. A famous restaurant in the Méier district. My idea was to live in one of the upstairs rooms, and turn the rest of the house into living space for the Mo Gun.
Si Suk Ursula not only helped me to look at important points of the house, but also stayed for several minutes clearing some doubts with the owner of the property by phone.

Nos dias que se seguiram, parecia que sempre havia algum problema com a casa que impedia que a negociação fosse concluída. Naqueles tempos, conversando com Si Suk Ursula, ela me mostrou através de alguns cálculos , em sua própria residência, que alugar aquela casa seria financeiramente arriscado para mim.

In the days that followed, it seemed that there was always some problem with the house that prevented the negotiation from being completed. In those days, talking to Si Suk Ursula, she showed me through some calculations in her own residence that renting that house would be financially risky for me.

Conversei com Si Fu(foto) sobre os cálculos que Si Suk Ursula havia feito, e como aquilo fazia sentido para mim. Porém, mais importante ainda para mim, era uma estranha sensação de estar entrando num negócio ruim. Tudo parecia meio "engatilhado" com relação àquele imóvel. Si Fu , teria dito que estava com a mesma sensação durante todo o tempo, mas que ainda assim, estava esperando que eu mesmo tomasse consciência, como forma de respeitar o meu momento.
Aquela conversa me trouxe a tranquilidade necessária para que eu seguisse para outro imóvel.

I talked to Si Fu (photo) about the calculations Si Suk Ursula had made, and how that made sense to me. But more importantly to me, it was a strange feeling of getting into a bad deal. Everything seemed half-cocked in relation to that property. Si Fu would have said that He had the same feeling all the time, but still, He was waiting for myself to be aware of it, as a way to respect my moment.
That conversation brought me the tranquility necessary for me to move to another property.

Aquele dia com Si Suk Ursula foi bem especial. Passamos o dia juntos a seu convite. Após visitarmos a casa no Méier, voltamos para sua residência onde ela fez todas as contas que mostravam que era um negócio financeiramente arriscado. Almocei com ela e pude passar um tempo com sua filhinha Rebeka (foto) , risos. Depois disso, fomos direto para Ipanema, onde aconteceriam as atividades da noite.

That day with Si Suk Ursula was very special. We spent the day together . After we visited the house in Méier, we returned to her residence where she made all the calculations that showed that it was a financially risky business. I had lunch with her and I was able to spend time with her little daughter Rebeka (photo). After that, we went straight to Ipanema, where the activities of the night would happen.

Rememorando agora estes momentos, até me emociono. É de fato um dia muito especial, e para mim parece que foi ontem . É impressionante como a vida passa num sopro!

After we got a parking lot for hercar. Si Suk Ursula decided to eat a hot dog and I accompanied her (photo).
Recalling these moments now, I even get emotional. It was indeed a very special day, and to me it seems like it was yesterday. It's amazing how life goes by in a breath!

O dia encerrou-se com as práticas no Estúdio Manas. Tive a oportunidade conversar com o Léo, que na foto aparece de camisa amarela, sobre questões técnicas do Ving Tsun. Naquela altura, eu ainda não havia vivenciado todas as oportunidades para me desenvolver como ser humano, graças a ser o Diretor do Núcleo Méier. Por isso, lembro bem de chegar lá muito tímido e ficar mais tímido ainda conversando com Léo. Ainda não estava claro para mim, como me apoiar no papel que desempenho como mais antigo, para ganhar forças e superar minhas limitações.
Este foi um dia inesquecível para mim, o primeiro de cinco, dentre tantos , momentos especiais com a Mestra Ursula Lima que contarei esta semana aqui na página! E desta forma, você poderá saber mais , como minha Si Suk foi fundamental em minha trajetória e carreira!

The day ended with practice at the Manas Studio. I had the opportunity to talk to Leo, who in the photo appears in a yellow shirt, about technical issues of the Ving Tsun. At that time, I had not yet experienced every opportunity to develop myself as a human being, thanks to being the Director of the Meier School. Therefore, I remember well to get there very shy and to be even more timid  talking with Leo. It was not yet clear to me, how to lean on the role I perform as the oldest, to gain strength and overcome my limitations.
This was an unforgettable day for me, the first of five, among so many, special moments with Master Ursula Lima that I will tell you this week here on the page! And in this way, you will be able to know more, how my Si Suk was fundamental in my career !
