VING TSUN LECTURE AT A JUDO CLUB (PALESTRA DE VING TSUN NUM CLUBE DE JUDO)

O bairro do Méier, onde está localizado o Núcleo Méier da Moy Yat Ving Tsun. É um desses bairros super tradicionais da Zona Norte de nossa cidade. Lembro que enquanto procurava um local para ser o Núcleo Méier em 2011, fui inclusive mal recebido em algumas vilas por ser um forasteiro.
E talvez nessa tradição que reside um pouco da mágica do subúrbio carioca. Você saber que se hoje, ou daqui a dez anos for em um determinado local e for bem atendido. O mesmo local e a mesma pessoa estarão lá ainda. E quando um lugar , um estabelecimento, some da paisagem de um bairro assim. Saudosistas , os moradores contam aos mais jovens o que tinha ali: "Aqui , onde é a igreja, antes era um cinema! Vinha muito aqui! Assisti O Retorno de Jedi com sua mãe lá!"

The neighborhood of Meier, where is the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Meier School. It is one of those super traditional neighborhoods of the northern zone of our city. I remember while looking for a place to be our school in 2011,I  was even poorly received in some "villas" because I was an outsider.

And maybe this tradition lies a little of the magic of Rio suburbs. You know that today or ten years from now , if you go to a certain location and is well attended. The same place and the same person will be  still there always. And when a place, an establishment, some of the landscape of such a neighborhood gone. Nostalgic, residents say to the younger what was there: "Here, where the church is,  was once a cinema! I used to come here a lot!I watched Return of the Jedi with your mother here!"

O meu irmão Kung Fu Rodrigo Moreira "Moy Mo Lei", tem uma habilidade muito especial em fazer amigos. Por conta disso, muitos de seus amigos já se interessaram pelo Ving Tsun por sua indicação. Desta vez porém, um deles, Rodrigo Demetrio, que hoje é um dos responsáveis pelo Dino´s Judo Clube no Méier nos convidou para um workshop  . Esse local, assim como dita a tradição do bairro. Tem décadas e décadas de funcionamento, que permitiu com que membros da Família Kung Fu nascidos e criados no bairro como o próprio Rodrigo Moreira praticassem lá quando crianças.

My  Kung Fu Brother Rodrigo Moreira "Moy Mo Lei," has a very special ability to make friends. Because of this, many of his friends are interested in the Ving Tsun by his induction. This time however, one of them, Rodrigo Demetrio, which today is one of those responsible for Dino's Judo Club in Meier invited us for a workshop. This place, as tradition dictates of the neighborhood. It has decades and decades of operation, which allowed that members of the Family Kung Fu born and raised in the neighborhood as Rodrigo Moreira himself practiced there as children.

Era um Sábado a tarde após as atividades das muitas artes praticadas no local além do Judo.  Tínhamos Judocas presentes, convidados e membros da Família. Para mim em especial, era a primeira vez que adentrava o local de um outro grupo para falar de Ving Tsun. Com as diferenças culturais entre Japão e China, precisava ajustar a linguagem para que o Ving Tsun pudesse somar aos presentes e não se defrontar. Para isso, resolvi focar nas semelhanças entre as duas culturas e não em suas diferenças.

It was a Saturday afternoon after the activities of the many arts practiced in place beyond Judo. We had Judoka present there, guests and members of the family. For me in particular was the first time that entered the place of another group to talk about Ving Tsun. Cultural differences between Japan and China needed to adjust the language to the Ving Tsun could add to the present and not be faced. For this, I decided to focus on the similarities between the two cultures and not their differences.

Muito antes daquela tarde, os membros do Clã Moy Jo Lei Ou, já estavam se ocupando de todo o processo. Por isso, foi possível almoçarmos juntos, conversarmos, desenvolver o que seria trabalhado. Ou seja, melhorar em vários aspectos. Por isso, muitos do que não puderam estar lá no momento do workshop se sentiram parte dele.
Para mim, fica a lembrança de um lugar muito especial no qual fomos muito bem acolhidos. Uma casa com um enorme silêncio no meio da barulhenta avenida principal do bairro. Cômodos e corredores que levam até a área dos tatames , mas que também te fazem viajar até sua infância quando as construções eram todas como aquela. E num ambiência envolta por muita hospitalidade, acredito que em algum nível nos foi possível contribuir com a ideia de "Inteligência Marcial" para os judocas daquele DoJo.

Long before that afternoon, members of Moy Jo Lei Ou Clan, were already occupying the entire process. So it was possible to have lunch together, talk, develop what would be working. Ie improve in several respects. Therefore, many of which could not be there at the workshop felt part of it.
For me,remains the memory of a very special place in which we were very well received. A house with a huge silence in the middle of the noisy main avenue of the neighborhood. Rooms and corridors leading to the area of tatami mats, but also make you travel to childhood when the buildings were all like that. And in an ambience surrounded by a lot of hospitality, I believe that at some level we were able to contribute to the idea of "Marcial intelligence" for judokas of that DoJo.
