Uma vez Si Fu perguntou para mim se eu sabia dizer a diferença entre Noé (da Bíblia) e Neo (de Matrix). Enquanto dirigia rumando para sua antiga residência, ele me disse que Noé, teria sido escolhido. Mas a personagem de Keanu Reeves , "Neo", havia "decidido ser o escolhido".
Quando falamos de "Escolhido" se referindo a nós mesmos, uma certa presunção pode ser passada. Não é esse o caso, ainda que minha justificativa não ajude. Si Fu apenas comentou que no Kung Fu você poderia ser "escolhido"(seja para o que fosse) por aclamação dos demais, porque o Si Fu assim disse ou porque a pessoa escolheu ser.
Sabe, não importa quantas chances você tenha na vida. Se você não as tomar para si, ela vão desaparecer, como lágrimas na chuva... 
Eu adoro o filme "Matrix" até hoje, mas nunca havia pensado daquela forma...

Once Si Fu asked me if I could tell the difference between Noah (from the Bible) and Neo (from The Matrix). While driving heading to his former residence, he told me that Noah would have been chosen. But the character of Keanu Reeves, "Neo", had "decided to be chosen."
When we speak of  being "The One" referring to ourselves, a certain presumption can be passed. That is not the case, although my justification not help. Si Fu just commented that in Kung Fu you could be "chosen"  by acclamation from the others, or because the Si Fu said so or because the person chose to be.
You know, no matter how many chances you have in life. If you do not take it, it will disappear, like tears in rain ...

I love the movie "The Matrix" to this day, but never thought that way ...


 Aquela conversa me lembrou da emocionante cena do filme "Falcão, o Campeão dos Campeões"(Over the Top,1987) [no vídeo acima]quando a personagem de Stallone, Lincoln Hawk, diz para seu filho quando ele pensa em desistir: "...The world meets nobody halfway...If you want something... You gotta take it.. You gotta take it..."

That conversation reminded me of the exciting scene from "Over the Top"(1987) [in the video above] when the character of Stallone, Lincoln Hawk , says to his son when he thinks about giving up: 
". ..the world meets nobody halfway ... If you want something ... you gotta take it .. you gotta take it ... "

Assim estava a área reservada para celebrações da residência do meu irmão Kung Fu Rodrigo Moreira na noite do último Sábado. Quando me deparei com essa cena, meu coração palpitou com força. Porém bem mais cedo, eu me arrumava no Mo Gun do Méier para aguardar minha noiva e nos dirigirmos para lá.
Lembrei da conversa com Si Fu e da cena do filme do Stallone: Realmente seria uma noite única. A partir daquele ponto, publicamente aceitaria meus primeiros To Dai, Si Fu seria chamado de Si Gung e Si Gung de Si Taai Gung. Sendo que esses To Dai seriam os primeiros membros de Décima Terceira Geração...

So was the area reserved for celebrations at the residence of my Si Dai Rodrigo Moreira on the night of last Saturday. When I came across this scene, my heart pounded hard. But much earlier, I arranged myself in Mo Gun in Meier to wait for my fiancee and we drove there.
I remembered the conversation with Si Fu and Stallone's movie scene: It really would be a single night. From that point, publicly I would accept my first To Dai, Si Fu would be called Si Gung and Si Gung would be called Si Taai Gung from now on. Since these To Dai be the first members of the Thirteenth Generation ...

A mesa ancestral estava muito bem preparada. Carlos Antunes fazia a Abertura Cerimonial e eu estava ladeado pela minha noiva e por meu Si Fu. Também estavam presentes os Líderes de Família do Rio de Janeiro e meu Si Hing Leonardo Reis, Mestre de Décima Segunda Geração assim como eu.
Eu achei que fosse chorar muito nessa Cerimônia, mas após uma conversa com Si Fu por telefone naquela tarde, refleti e conclui até que ponto isso roubaria a atenção apenas para mim. E aquela noite não era só minha. Era uma noite de uma série de pessoas que "decidiram se tornarem os escolhidos",,, E outras mais , que estão no caminho dessa decisão...

The ancestral table was very well prepared. Carlos Antunes was doing the Ceremonial Opening and I was flanked by my fiancee and my Si Fu. Also present were the family leaders of Rio de Janeiro and my Si Hing Leonardo Reis, Master of Twelfth Generation just like me.
I thought I would be crying in this ceremony, but after a conversation with Si Fu by phone that afternoon, I reflected and concludes to what extent this would steal attention just for me. And that night was not just mine. It was a night of a lot of people who "decided to become the chosen one" ,,, And other more, on the path of that decision ...

Em 1994, quando cheguei na frente de todas crianças e jovens da Classe de Alfabetização ao antigo terceiro ano do segundo grau além de pais de alunos, professores e funcionários segurando minha poesia "Cidadania começa em casa". Muitos acharam que eu iria gaguejar. Eu achei... Mas lembro como minha vontade de ganhar da Bruna , Ricardo Israel e Carlos Duarte era tão grande que fiz a melhor leitura que pude. Ao final, a coordenadora disse: "Muito bem!" - Lembro que olhei para a frente, e só então estava de volta. Enquanto li, entrei num transe e todos ao redor haviam sumido, e só quando ela falou comigo ouvi as palmas....

In 1994, when I arrived in front of all the children and youth from kinder garden to the senior year of high school as well as parents of students, faculty and staff holding,  my poetry called "citizenship begins at home." Many thought I would stutter. I found ... But remember how my will to win Bruna, Ricardo Israel and Carlos Duarte was so great that I did the best I could read. At the end, the coordinator said, "Very good!" - I remember I looked forward, and only then I was back. As I read, I went into a trance and all around were gone, and only when she spoke to me I heard the palms ....

22 anos depois, Vanessa que na ocasião da poesia, me assistia da forma da terceira série do primário, sentava ao meu lado como Si Mo da minha Família. E eu estava com o microfone em mãos novamente. Dessa vez porém, sem papel, sem poesia, sem amigos para competir... Mas com a grande responsabilidade, de iniciar um processo e preservar um legado.
Eu não podia me dar o direito de chorar, de gaguejar, de perder o foco... E finalmente, pude ter um pequeno lampejo do que Si Fu me disse sobre quem pratica o "Baat Jaam Do": "... Você muda Pereira, isso fica evidente inclusive para as outras pessoas..."

22 years later, my fianceé Vanessa ,that in that poetry occasion, was watching me from the line of the third grade of elementary school, sat beside me as Si Mo of my family. And I was with the microphone in hand again. This time however, no paper, no poetry, no friends to compete ... but with great responsibility, to initiate a process and preserve a legacy.
I could not give me the right to cry, to stutter, losing focus ... And finally, I have a little glimpse of what Si Fu told me about those who practice "Baat Jaam Do": "... You will change Pereira, this will become evident even for other people ... "

A primeira pessoa a realizar os procedimentos Cerimoniais foi Jaqueline Tergolina. Uma Karateka da região sul do país que tem como sua principal característica um sorriso muito contagiante. Que toma conta do Mo Gun sempre que ela está presente. Mudando assim o "espírito" de quem com ela pratica. A pessoa não está "trainning" luta com ela, mas sim "play" Kung fu....

The first person to perform the ceremonial procedures was Jaqueline Tergolina. A Karateka from the south of the country that has as her main feature a very contagious smile. Taking Mo Gun whenever she is present. thus changing the "spirit" of who is practicing with her. The person is not "trainning" fight with her, but "playing" Kung fu ....

Enquanto falava, percebia o olhar do Si Fu sobre mim. Lembro da Si Suk Ursula me falando sobre "Visão periférica" quando estava praticando o Siu Nim Tau em idos de 1999 para 2000. Porque ao mesmo tempo que olhava Jaqueline e lhe falava, podia ver Si Fu extremamente atento a mim. Mas ao invés de ficar nervoso com seu olhar e sua imponente presença. Preferi encontrar nele meu ponto de apoio. E a cada balançada de cabeça dele, prosseguia em meu raciocínio, se ele permanecesse quieto por muito tempo, eu tinha alguns milésimos de segundo para decidir para onde ir. Junto disso, precisava estar conectado a pessoa com quem estava falando, no caso, Jaqueline.

As I was speaking, I realized the look of Si Fu on me. I remember the Si Suk Ursula telling me about "peripheral vision" when I was practicing Siu Nim Tau in 1999 or 2000. Because while looking Jaqueline and spoke to her, I could see Si Fu extremely attentive to me. But instead of getting nervous with his imposing presence. I preferred to find him my point of support. And each his head swung positive, went in my reasoning, if he remained quiet for a long time, I had a few thousandths of a second to decide where to go. Along this, I needed to be connected to the person I was talking, in this case, Jaqueline.

Si Fu sempre nos fala da importância da Família Kung Fu como seu maior patrimônio e do valor que dá para ela. Sentado ali, observando e ouvindo atentamente meu Si Dai Rodrigo Moreira apresentando Vitor Sá, isso me veio à cabeça. Presenciar pessoas como Jaqueline anteriormente, e ali naquele momento Vitor, se dispondo a receberem esse legado é algo muito especial. 

Também pude sentir por um segundo, de onde parece vir o inabalável ser de Si Fu: Exatamente da confiança depositada em nós pelo nosso Si Fu. 

Estar sentado ali, não foi algo que decidi sozinho, não foi algo que quis, foi algo que me foi entregue, e por isso, não tive dúvidas sobre conseguir cuidar de Jaqueline e Vitor, ainda que tenha em mente o longo caminho que temos como Si Fu To Dai pela frente...

Si Fu always tells us the importance of Kung Fu Family as his greatest asset and the value he gives to it. Sitting there, watching and listening intently my Si Dai Rodrigo Moreira presenting Vitor Sá, it came to mind. Witnessing people like Jaqueline earlier, and there now Vitor, being open to receive this legacy is something very special.

I could also feel for a second, which seems to be the unbeatable focus of Si Fu: Just trust placed in us by our own Si Fu.

Sitting there, it was not something I decided alone, was not something I wanted, was something that was delivered to me, and so I had no doubts about getting care for Jaqueline and Vitor, although keep in mind the long way we have as Si Fu - To Dai ahead

Fabio Sá "Moy Sa" a.k.a. "Fabiosa", apareceu no Mo Gun com um par de muletas e um tornozelo comprometido que o impossibilitaria de praticar naquele momento. Mesmo assim foi a sua apresentação e prometeu voltar em breve. No meio desse hiato, Fabiosa mandou alguns emails pedindo que não esquecesse dele. Como se o Mo Gun fosse desaparecer. E quando finalmente ele apareceu , três meses depois, fez questão de me pagar três meses adiantados...

Fabiosa é alguém aparentemente sério, e as vezes esquece uma coisa aqui e acolá, mas seu compromisso é inegável desde seu primeiro momento. 

Por isso , quando apresentou Pedro Pavioti para mim e minha noiva como seu Gaai Siu Yan, eu sabia que ele estava em boas mãos. Pavioti, como o chamo, parece ter escolhido bem seu apresentador formal ou "Gaai Siu Yan". Espero que ele possa ter também em seu Si Suk Fabiosa um bom exemplo de que as adversidades estão aí para serem exploradas e aproveitadas.

Fabio Sa "Moy Sa" a.k.a. "Fabiosa" appeared in Mo Gun with a pair of cruches and a committed ankle that would make it impossible to practice at that time. Still, it was his presentation and promised to return soon. In the middle of this gap, Fabiosa sent some emails asking not to forget it. As the Mo Gun would disappear. And when he finally appeared, three months later, he insisted on me paying three months in advance ...

Fabiosa is someone apparently serious, and sometimes forgets one thing here and there, but his commitment is undeniable since his beginning.

So when he presented Pedro Pavioti as his Gaai Siu Yan, for me and my fiancee , I knew he was in good hands. Pavioti, as I call him, seems to have well chosen his formal presenter or "Gaai Siu Yan." I hope he can also take his Si Suk Fabiosa as a good example that the odds are there to be explored and exploited.

Por falar em Fabiosa, foi junto dele e de Granado,um outro Si Dai, que sentados com André Torres, a quem Fabiosa também apresentou naquela noite, o vimos se emocionar bastante enquanto falávamos sobre Família Kung Fu numa oportunidade enquanto tomávamos café juntos numa tarde qualquer... André se emocionou novamente em sua Cerimônia. Mas não tem problema. Na Família Kung Fu todos choramos o tempo todo. Conhecer a si mesmo não é nada fácil. Porém, mais emocionante ainda é se deparar com outros dispostos a conhecê-lo também. - A sinóloga Anne Cheng escreveu: "...A grande razão do aprender é, portanto, tornar-se "homem de bem" . Em outras palavras, tomadas de um grande pensador confuciano do séc. XI, 'aprender é aprender a fazer de si mesmo um ser humano'...Não há expressão melhor que esta para dizer que ser humano é algo que se aprende..." 

Speaking of Fabiosa, I was with him and Granado, another Si Dai, when we sat with Andre Torres, whom Fabiosa also presented that night, we saw him get emotional enough as we were talking about Kung Fu Family during an opportunity drinking coffee together on some afternoon ... Andre was moved again in his ceremony. But there's no problem. In Family Kung Fu all of us cried all the time. Knowing yourself is not easy. But more exciting still come across others willing to know more you too. .. - The sinologist Anne Cheng wrote: "... The big reason of learning is, therefore, become" a good man "In other words, taken from a great Confucian thinker of the century XI, 'learning is learning to do oneself a human being '... No expression better than this to say that the human being is something you learn to be... "

Por último , Luan se apresentou a todos e além de falar algumas palavras a respeito de seus motivos , seu momento e demais questões que marcaram sua escolha de entrar na Família, falou um pouco do particular.

Luan é alguém que tem grandes ideias e grandes sonhos. Existe um diálogo nos Analectos de Confúcio entre ele e um discípulo que me lembra Luan:

"Confucio suspira: "Continuo desconhecido de todos!"

ZiGong: "Como explicais isto?"

Confucio: "Eu não acuso o Céu, não me queixo dos homens. Meu estudo é modesto , mas meu objetivo é elevado. Quem me conheceria, exceto o Céu?" (XIV,37)

Finally, Luan introduced himself to everyone and besides speaking a few words about his motives, his time and other issues that marked his choice to enter the Family, he spoke rather particular issues.

Luan is someone who has great ideas and big dreams. There is a dialogue in the Analects of Confucius between him and a disciple who reminds me Luan:

"Confucius sighed:" I remain unknown to all "!

Zigong: "How explain this?"

Confucius: "I do not accuse Heaven, do not complain of men. My study is modest, but my goal is high Who know me, except heaven..?" (XIV, 37)

Pedro Freire, cresceu sob os meus olhos , cresceu junto do Núcleo Méier, crescemos juntos. E diferente dos cinco To Dai da Família Moy Fat Lei admitidos até ali, o agora adulto que busca seu caminho profissional, decidiu ingressar na minha Família após autorização de Si Fu, agora, seu Si Gung.

Pedro , com a anuência de Si Fu, passou a ser o "Daai Si Hing" da Família Moy Fat Lei. 

Pedro Freire, grew under my eyes, grew Moy Yat Ving Tsun Meier School, grew up together with me. And unlike the five To Dai of Family Moy Fat Lei admitted that noght, the now adult who seeks his professional path, decided to join my family after authorization from Si Fu, now, his Si Gung.

Pedro, with the consent of Si Fu, became the "Daai Si Hing" of Moy Fat Lei Family.

Cometi um erro quando encomendei o certificado de Pedro Freire ao emissor oficial de certificados , senhor Flavio Caxiano, meu Si Suk. E por isso, apoiando-me no potencial da situação, entreguei a ele o meu pin com o símbolo do Grande Clã Moy Yat Sang, recebido por mim , diretamente de Si gung em seu aniversário em 2015 no Rio de Janeiro. Esse pin, só pode ser usado por membros desse Grande Clã. E da Linhagem Moy Yat, é um dos únicos dois Grandes Clãs a ter autorização para ter seu próprio símbolo.

I made a mistake when I ordered the certificate of Pedro Freire to the official issuer of certificates, Mr. Flavio Caxiano, my Si Suk. And so, supporting me in the potential of the situation, I gave him my pin with the symbol of the Great Clan Moy Yat Sang received by me directly from Si Gung on his birthday in 2015 in Rio de Janeiro. This pin can only be used by members of the Great Clan. And in the Lineage Moy Yat, is one of only two Great Clans to be allowed to have its own symbol.

Naquela noite, abracei cada um dos admitidos em minha Família, abracei minha noiva, Si Fu me abraçou. Deixo aqui porém a única foto desses abraços registrada, logo com Pedro Freire. Pois espero que seja essa a estrada trilhada pelos membros dessa nova Família apoiada na imagem de seu Si hing...

That night, I hugged each admitted to my family, I hugged my fiancee, Si Fu hugged me. I leave here but the only picture of these hugs registered, then with Pedro Freire. Because I hope that this is the road traveled by the members of this new family supported on the image of their Si hing ...
