The Most remarkable Si Fu´s b-day part 2 (A festa mais marcante de Si Fu parte 2)

O ano era 2009 e Mestre Julio Camacho fazia 40 anos.Nessa época, eu ainda não tinha muita noção de como era organizado um evento desses. Na verdade, era como uma criança que quando via tudo arrumado, todos os convidados chegando e as homenagens acontecendo, achava que era "natural de um aniversário" que as coisas se materializavam e todo mundo sabia claramente que horas chegar ou como se vestir para o momento.
Claro que isso é um exagero, mas eu ainda participava pouco dos bastidores do kung fu e tentava, paulatinamente, ser mais confiável nas organizações de atividades. O aniversário do Si Fu era um bom momento para contribuir e tentei ajudar com as homenagens.
Em vista qualidade habitual das apresentações, é comum que Si Hing Thiago Pereira seja o responsável pelos vídeos em momentos especiais para nossa Família. Em 2009 não foi diferente e fui convidado, junto ao meu Si Hing Thiago Silva, a ingressar no Moy Fat Lei Imagination Team.

It was 2009 and Master Julio Camacho was turning 40.

By that time, I wasn't completely aware of how an event like that was organized. In fact I was like a child that, upon seeing everything in order, thought that it was just natural for things to appear in a birthday and that everyone knew at which time they should arrive or how to dress for that moment

Of course I'm exaggerating, but I seldom took part in kung fu backstage and was slowly trying to be more reliable in organizing activities. Si Fu's birthday was a good moment to contribute and I tried helping with the tributes.

Usually Si Hing Thiago Pereira is the one responsible for the video tributes in every special moment foi our Family, as he always makes them with utmost care. In 2009 it was no different and I was invited, along my Si Hing Thiago Silva, to be part of Moy Fat Lei Imagination Team.

Antes da noite de celebração, pudemos nos encontrar algumas vezes para criar e produzir diversos vídeos e surpresas que seriam apresentadas antes do jantar. Nos reunimos num domingo pela manhã com uma proposta de roteiro e partimos para gravar, tentando pensar em algo que faria jus à pessoa de Mestre Julio e que divertisse os presentes.

Na minha opinião, e aposto que também na de muitos dos presentes, nossas surpresas foram um sucesso, mas logo após a apresentação, precisei me ausentar para auxiliar nos cuidados com minha sogra, que à época estava doente.

Before that celebration, we got together some times to create and produce several video clips and a few surprises to present before that festive dinner. We met during a sunday morning with a basic script and started recording, trying to think of ways to pays homage to Master Julio and entertain the guests.

In my humble opinion, and I bet that many guests felt that way, our surprises were funny, but shortly after our presentation, I had to leave in order to take care of my mother-in-law, that at that time was sick.

Enquanto ia embora, pensava no quanto um Mestre abre mão de sua condição como indivíduo, para se transformar num ponto ao redor do qual várias pessoas podem se encontrar, se espelhar e buscar algo que, na verdade, está dentro delas mesmas.

Pensava que, assim como eu, talvez ele tivesses outros problemas, suprimidos naquela situação onde ele era, querendo ou não, o astro da noite, mas guardo aquele momento com um carinho especial graças à aparência de satisfação do Si Fu com o que tinha sido preparado para aquele dia.

While I left, I thought about how a Master forfeits his/her own wishes, becoming a beacon around which many people can gather, get inspired and search for things that are inside their own hearts.

I thought that, like me, he could have passing through some hardships, supressed that night, when he was the star, but I keep this memory to heart thanks to Si Fu's joyful answer to what we prepared for that day.

No próximo domingo, terei a oportunidade viajar para estar na celebração de aniversário de minha Si Taai Po, Helen Moy, acompanhando meu Si Fu na Philadelphia - EUA, junto da comitiva brasileira, mas na noite anterior, dia 21 de novembro, teremos a chance de participar novamente daquela noite em que Mestre Julio Camacho é o alvo de todas as homenagens. Tornando essa noite ainda mais especial, será realizada a 51ª Cerimônia Tradicional da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou, um momento histórico em nosso Clã com muitos marcos importantes.

The most special Si Fu's birthday

Next sunday, I will have the opportunity to travel to Si Taai Po Helen Moy's birthday celebration, following my Si Fu at Philadelphia (USA), along the brazilian entourage, but on thew previous night, november 21st, we will have the chance to take part onde again in that night when Master Julio Camacho is the one everyone gather to congratulate. Making this evening even more special, we shall have the 51st Traditional Ceremony of Moy Jo Lei Ou's Family, an historic moment in our Clan with many meaningful marks.
