Este ano completei dezesseis anos de prática do Ving Tsun e Trinta e dois anos de vida. E durante esse período, muita coisa mudou como era de se esperar. Mas nunca, nem nos meus mais longínquos devaneios, poderia imaginar onde e como estaria em 2015: Mestre de Ving Tsun e Diretor de um Núcleo Certificado da Moy Yat Ving Tsun.
E numa noite chuvosa de Sábado, na Zona Oeste do Rio de Janeiro, recebi uma incrível homenagem organizada pelos membros da Família Moy Jo Lei Ou. Num ambiente maravilhoso, passei bons momentos com Si Fu e a Família Kung Fu relembrando histórias marcantes e claro: A emoção quando os  presentes levantaram-se para falar algumas palavras a respeito de mim. É algo que eu nunca vou acostumar, por isso , quando chegou a minha vez de levantar e falar. Fiz questão de deixar claro o quanto todos , presentes e ausentes naquela noite, são importantes para mim.
Em especial falei de Si Fu. Tenho me emocionado facilmente nos últimos tempos, devido a constatação de tudo que aprendi com Si Fu e que venho conseguindo expressar no meu dia-a-dia. Como já vinha desconfiando há oito anos, nossos maiores inimigos não são passíveis de serem golpeados. Pois nossos "inimigos" aparecem como os "desafios da vida" , e na vida você não pode bater. Mas você também não precisa apanhar apenas. Digo isso, porque Si Fu me presenteou com uma caligrafia magnifica onde estava escrito o "Kuen Kuit" : "Os outros caminham pelo arco, eu caminho pela corda". - Si Fu tirou aquela caligrafia da parede de sua casa, e me entregou dizendo que em função do meu momento de vida, queria me presentear com aquilo. Ele me disse que um praticante de Ving Tsun segue em frente (pela corda) e não faz contornos(pelo arco)... Dentre outras coisas.
O que posso dizer desses dezesseis anos, é que nos momentos em que mais me senti frustrado porque achava que não estava evoluindo ou mesmo se estava aprendendo algo. Continuei porque gostava do Si Fu. E hoje, que descobri o valor do que recebi, continuo ainda porque gosto do Si Fu. E acredito hoje no que ele escreveu em seu livro "Tao do Surf": "Você nunca vai entender porque dedicou tanto de sua vida a um sonho, até o dia em que este sonho salvar a sua vida."

This yearI completed sixteen years of practice of Ving Tsun and Thirty-two years of life. And during that time, much has changed as might be expected. But I never, even in the most far-flung daydreams of mine, could imagine where and how to be in 2015: Ving Tsun Master and Director of a Certificate Moy Yat Ving Tsun School.
And on a rainy Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro West Zone, I received an incredible tribute organized by the members of Family Moy Jo Lei Ou. A marvelous environment, where I could spend quality time with Si Fu and Kung Fu Family recalling striking  stories and of course: The thrill when those present stood up to say a few words about me. It's something I'll never get used to, so when it was my turn to get up and speak. Made it clear how all present and absent people that night are important to me.
In particular I spoke of Si Fu. I am easily moved in recent times due to finding everything I learned from Si Fu and I have been managing to express in my day-to-day. As was already distrusting eight years ago, our greatest enemies are not likely to be beat uding hands. Because our "enemies" appear as the "challenges of life", and in life you can not hit.. 
I say this because Si Fu presented me with a magnificent calligraphy that read the "Kuen Kuit": "The others walk by bow, I walk the rope." - Si Fu took that calligraphy from his home´s wall and handed me saying that because my time of life, wanted to present me with that. He told me that a practitioner of Ving Tsun moves on (the rope) and does not contours (the arch) ... Among other things.
What I can say of these sixteen years, is that at times when I felt frustrated because thought I was not evolving or even whether I was learning something. I continued because I always liked Si Fu very much. And today, I discovered the value of what I received from him, I´m still here because I like Si Fu a lot. And I think today I believe in what he wrote in his book "Tao of the Surf": "You'll never understand why put so much of your life to a dream, until the day when this dream save your life."
