Após indicação ao Oscar 2014, o filme The Grandmasters (China, 2013), do diretor Wong Kai Wai, chegou aos cinemas brasileiros. O longa encontrou-se em cartaz, apenas entre 17 e 23 de abril, sob o título "O Grande Mestre", mesmo título dado ao DVD, no Brasil, do filme anterior - Ip Man (China, 2008) - sobre o patriarca do Ving Tsun:
Neste filme, vemos logo no inicio, o personagem de Ip Man (Tony Leung) falando sobre um local onde Mestres se encontravam: "... Naquela época, homens se socializavam em bordéis. Esses locais eram populares no sul...Era como um clube para praticantes de artes marciais. Homens de bem podiam ser encontrados entre bandidos. E Mestres ocultos também. As pessoas viam o lugar como um palácio do prazer , mas para nós, era um campo de batalha..."

After Oscar nomination in 2014, the film The Grandmasters (China, 2013) by director Wong Kai Wai, reached the Brazilian theaters. The movie stayed only between 17 and 23 April, under the title of "Grandmaster", the same title given to the DVD, in Brazil,for  the previous film - Ip Man (China, 2008) - about the patriarch of Ving Tsun: 
In this film, we see early on, the character of Ip Man (Tony Leung) talking about a place where Masters used to meet each other:. "... At that time, men socialized in brothels. These were very popular in the south ... The places were like a club for martial arts. Good men could be found among bandits, and hidden Masters too. People saw the place as a pleasure palace, but for us, it was a battlefield ... "

No "Mo Lam" - o círculo marcial chinês - é comum um grupo de artistas marciais se reunirem, não apenas para a prática corporal mas também para discutir um tema pertinente ao Kung Fu e os seus desdobramentos na cultura chinesa.
No século XVIII e XIX, quando o Kung Fu do Templo Shaolin fora preservado nas sociedades secretas, como por exemplo o Kin Fa Wui Gung (sociedade da flor de jade), onde o Ving Tsun fora inicialmente estabelecido, encontros reservados eram comuns entre os seus membros.

In "Mo Lam" - The chinese martial art circle - is very common a group of martial artists get together , not only for the practice itself, but also to discuss themes about Kung Fu and its developments in chinese culture.
In XVIII and XIX centuries, when the Kung Fu from Shaolin Temple were preserved by secret societies , like the King Fa Wui Gung (The Jade Flower Society) , where the Ving Tsun were estabilished at first. Those reserved meetings were very usual between its members.

Na época do Patriarca Ip Man, em Foshan, era frequente esses intercâmbios, entre membros de um mesmo estilo ou inter estilos. Nessa cidade, considerada a meca das artes marciais do Sul, famílias de Ving Tsun, Hung Ga, Choi Li Faat, Bak Mei, dentre outros, promoviam grandes discussões!
No ocidente, quando um grupo seleto de pessoas se reúnem, com certa regularidade, para discutir um tema em comum, chamamos isso de "tertúlia".

At Ip Man's time in Fo Shan those exchanges of knowledge were often between members of the same style or between members from different styles. In this city, considered the Martial Arts Meca in the South of China, Ving Tsun Families, as also as Hung Ga Families, Choi Li Faat and Bak Mei used to promote great meetings.
In the West , when a selected group of people meet often to discuss a certain theme, we call it "Gatherings"

Com a iniciativa do Mestre Anderson Maia (Moy On Da San) e do Mestre Leonardo Mordente (Moy Lei On), respectivos Diretor de Núcleo e Diretor de Língua Chinesa e Genealogia da Moy Yat Ving Tsun, eles convidaram os membros do Núcleo Belo Horizonte para organizar uma série de tertúlias marciais. Mestre Leonardo batizou esses encontros de "Tertúlia Seis Nomes".

Trough the initiative of Master Anderson Maia (Moy On Da San), the director of MYVT Belo Horizonte School and the Master Leo Mordente (Moy Lei On), the Chinese Language and Genealogy of MYVT, they invited the members of MYVT Belo Horizonte School to promote a serie of Martial Social Gatherings. Master Leonardo named it " Six Names Gatherings"

Seis nomes refere-se aos seis domínios do Sistema Ving Tsun - Siu Nim Tau, Cham Kiu, Biu Ji, Mui Fa Jong, Luk Dim Bun Gwan e Baat Jaam Do. Cada um desses contém uma particularidade no Sistema, uma natureza específica, na qual o nome, por si só, já nos leva a uma característica, a ser explorada na experiência marcial.

"Six Names" is about the six domains of Ving Tsun System : Siu Nim Tau, Cham Kiu, Biu Ji, Mui Fa Jong, Luk Dim Bun Gwan e Baat Jaam Do. Each has a particularity in the System , a specific Nature, where by itself take us to some specific characteristics to be explored trough the martial experience.

Foi o Grão-mestre Moy Yat um dos principais expoentes modernos do Kung Fu a se preocupar em traduzir adequadamente os seis nomes do Ving Tsun. Vale lembrar que, antes, tais termos não careciam de traduções, por que eram estudados na China, entre chineses somente.

Was Late Grand-Master Moy Yat , one of the main modern expoents of Kung Fu, to be worried about the right translation of the six names of Ving Tsun. You should remember that, before, those terms did not have translations, because they were studied in China, between the chinese people only.
