KUNG FU LEGEND DIED THIS TUESDAY MORNING(LENDA DO KUNG FU MORREU NESSA TERÇA)

Morreu na manhã desta Terça uma lenda do cinema de Hong Kong(foto). Na verdade, para você entender a importância de Lau Kar Leung, ele seria uma espécie de Clint Eastwood chinês. Só que com algo a mais bem mais importante: O diretor , ator , vencedor do prêmio de melhor diretor de cenas de ação por "Drunken Master II" em 1994 e vencedor do Life Time Achievement Award na Hong Kong Film Awards, é descendente direto do lendário Patriarca do estilo Hung Ga: Wong Fei Hung.

On the morning of this Tuesday a legend of Hong Kong cinema (photo) died. In fact, for you to understand the importance of Lau Kar Leung, he would be a sort of Clint Eastwood from China. Lau Kar Leung me marcou, pois ele dirigiu e atuou em Drunken Master II. E foi exatamente este filme que

me fez buscar o Kung Fu em 1998, encontrando o Clã Moy Yat apenas um ano depois.

Se você ainda não viu esse filme,por favor! Assista o quanto antes! Uma obra prima em termos de coreografia, com a nata de Hong Kong na época. Como a carismática, e infelizmente também já falecida ,Anita Mui(foto), fazendo o papel de madrasta viciada em MahJong de Jackie Chan! É impagável!

Lau Kar Leung começou fazendo pequenas pontas nos filmes de Wong Fei Hung nos anos 50. Na década seguinte, se uniu a lendária produtora Shaw Brothers e se tornou um dos mais renomados coreógrafos de Hong Kong.

He starred in old 50's Wong Fei Hung movies in small roles, and just in the 60's he joined with Shaw Brothers, the legendary film company making him one of the all time best action scenes director.

.Em 1975, Lau Kar Leung conseguiu dirigir "Spiritual Boxer" que foi um tremendo sucesso. Mas com certeza, sua obra-prima, é um clássico dos clássicos: O lendário filme "As 36 Camaras de Shaolin", com o inesquecível Gordon Liu (Pai Mei em KILL BILL) como o monge San Te.

In 1975, Lau Kar Leung finally debuted as director in "Spiritual Boxer", a huge hit who make possible for him shoot the legendary epic "36 Chambers of Shaolin" in 1978 , starring Gordon Liu(PAI MEI from KILL BILL) as the legendary monk San Te.

Lau Kar Leung vai deixar saudades após perder uma dura batalha contra o cancer. Mas seu legado ficará para sempre na memória dos fãs!
