Mestre Leo Imamura, eh o Si Fu de meu Si Fu, ou seja, meu Si Gung. Para algumas pessoas que nao sao de sua Familia Kung Fu, ou que o conheceram em outras epocas, muitas vezes Si Gung eh conhecido como Professor Imamura, Mestre Leo,Mestre Leo da Moy Yat e por ai vai...rs

Si Gung ficou conhecido assim pois vem contribuindo para o Ving Tsun e para o Kung Fu no Brasil ja a algumas decadas, iniciando sua Familia Kung Fu em 1988.

Master Leo Imamura(10G VT), is my Si Fu`s Si Fu, what means that he is my Si Gung. For some people who are not fromhis Kung Fu Family in Brazil, or who knew him at old times, often he is known as Professor Imamura, Master Leo, Master Leo from Moy Yat and so on ... lol
Si Gung was well known in our country because he has been contributing to the Ving Tsun Kung Fu and in Brazil already a few decades, starting his Kung Fu Family in 1988.

Ontem mesmo meu Si Fu estava falando sobre nao ficarmos reclamando sobre "como poderia ser" e sim "trabalhar com o que se tem naquele determinado momento." E isso me vem a cabeca agora, porque segundo outra historia contada por Si Fu, alguns dos primeiros seminarios da Familia Kung Fu de Si Gung, ja chegaram a ser feitos na mesa de sua sala, e hoje, vinte e poucos anos depois, o que ele via e poucos outros tambem podiam ver, se tornou visivel aos olhos comuns, inclusive os meus...

Just yesterday my Si Fu Julio Camacho(11G VT) was talking about not stay complaining about "how it could be" but rather "work with what you have at that particular moment."
And that comes to my mind now because according to another story told by Si Fu, some of the first Ving Tsun seminars leaded by Si Gung in Brazil, was at his home,with just a couple of people around his family`s dinner table, and today, twenty years later, what he saw and few others also could see, became visible to ordinary eyes, including mine ...
Foi comemorado em Minas Gerais num evento organizado pelo Nucleo Savassi dirigido por meu Si Baak Anderson Maia, mais um aniversario , na verdade sao agora 47 anos... "time flies..."

O simbolo eh este ai de cima! Nele esta escrito : "MOY YAT SANG" que eh o nome Kung Fu de
Si Gung dado a ele por seu Si Fu , grao-Mestre Moy Yat.
Porem, quem conhece um pouco de chines deve estar achando estranha esta traducao...

一 (yat) - Eh a pronuncia pra "1"(um) em cantones.
生 (Sang) - Este ideograma tem algumas traducoes como "nascer" e "crescer"
o MOY(梅) eh o "nome de Familia" , ou seja, o nome de seu Si Fu MOY(梅) yat.
Porem, observe que o ideograma "SANG"(生) que aparece dentro do simbolo acima, esta em sua versao mais antiga. Enquanto que "Moy"(梅) simplesmente nao aparece...

The symbol is this above! In it is written: "MOY YAT SANG" that is the name of Si Gung`s Kung Fu name ,given to him by his Si Fu, Grand-Master Moy Yat.
However, who knows a little bit of Chinese must think this translation strange ...

一 (yat) - is the pronunciation for "1" (one) in Cantonese.
生 (Sang) - This ideogram has some translations such as "to be bourne" and "to grow"
the MOY (梅) is a "Family name", is the name of his Si Fu MOY (梅) Yat.
However, note that the character "SANG" (生) that appears within inside the symbol above, is in its earliest version. While "Moy (梅) simply does not appear ...
Isso ocorre pois foi uma grande brincadeira visual de grao-Mestre Moy Yat com o "escudo" de sua escola. Observe que o ideograma dentro da flor de ameixa acima eh o "YAT" em versao arcaica, e como ele esta dentro de uma flor de ameixa(Moy Fah 梅花 em cantones,Mei Hua em Mandarim) considera-se que quando vc olhar a flor vc leia MOY e quando vc olhar dentro dela, vc leia YAT: MOY YAT. O mesmo ocorre com o simbolo da Familia Kung Fu de Si Gung:
MOY YAT SANG.

This is because it was a great visual joke of Grand Master Moy Yat with his school symbol.
Note that the character inside the plum flower above is the "YAT" in archaic version, and how it is inside a plum blossom (Moy Fah 梅花 in Cantonese, MeiHua in Mandarin) is considered that when you look at the flower you read MOY and when you look inside, you read YAT: MOY YAT.
The same visual joke happens with the symbol of the Si Gung`s Kung Fu Family :
MOY YAT SANG.

O vinho foi presente pessoal, de meu Si Fu e da Si Mo ao Si Gung, especialmente personalizado pelos tios de Si Fu, Wilson e Regina Ciotti (que juntamente com o próprio Si Gung e Si Taai foram padrinhos de casamento de Si Fu e Si Mo). Observe que o vinho chama-se Don Ciotti, produzido por Wilson Ciotti e sua família, em Caxias do Sul, RS.
No rótulo uma brincadeira com o ano de 1963, a melhor safra de Si gung.

The wine is produced by Mr Wilson Ciotti and his Family in Caxias do Sul,south of Brazil.

Vc pode nao acreditar, mas um de meus antepassados ao chegar a este beco no inicio do seculo passado, construiu a primeira casa e deu a rua o nome de Pereira.

You may not believe, but an ancestor of mine, came to Honorio Gurgel neighborhood in north zone of Rio, and builded the first house of the place, and named the street as "TRAVESSA PEREIRA"(Peartree`s Alley).
The house today is a very small building where till today only people with surname Pereira(Peartree) lives.

O comprometimento de Si Gung Leo Imamura com o sistema Ving Tsun, nao foi bem entendido por mim no inicio. Isso porque nos sempre chegamos querendo nos tornar
O MESTRE, O SI FU. Mas Si Gung sempre se preocupou em garantir o Ving Tsun puro as futuras geracoes, concentrando todos os seus esforcos para formar Mestres de qualidade.
Eh verdade que ele poderia ter parado por ai, mas indo alem, ele agora mobiliza seus discipulos que se tornaram Mestres, a formarem novos Mestres e assim, ter certeza de que seu papel foi cumprido como um elo da corrente que nao arrebentou...

The commitment of Si Gung Leo Imamura with the Ving Tsun system, was not well understood by me at first. That's because we always come in the System wanting to become THE MASTER,THE SI FU. But Si Gung was always concerned to ensure the pure Ving Tsun for the future generations, focusing all his efforts to train qualified Masters.
It is true that he could have stopped there, but going beyond, he now mobilizes his disciples who have become Masters, to form new Masters and thus make sure that his role was fulfilled as a link in the chain that is not broke ...
E eh esse modo de pensar que traz um reconhecimento ao seu trabalho, como vemos acima nesta foto retirada do blog do nucleo savassi uma placa ofertada pelo governo chines ao Si Gung Leo Imamura e alguns de seus Si Hings durante a visita a China ano passado.
