MASTER NAVARRO FROM MADRID SHOWS BIU JI (MESTRE MARCELO NAVARRO DEMONSTRA O BIU JI)

Si Sok Marcelo Navarro, a Qualified Master of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence has been increasing in Europe circuit and within our Clan as a great example of professional in his direction of the MYVT Madrid School (photo above)

Disciple of Si Gung Leo Imamura, Si Sok Marcelo Navarro is a sweet and friendly person, but one can not fool with it: Behind his kindness lives a great practitioner with whom I was fortunate to do Chi Sau once in Sao Paulo in 2010 and on that day, his "forward power" coming from his "Horse", marked me deeply.

BIU JI
(Por Mestre Marcelo Navarro , Líder da Família Moy Ma Si Lou e diretor do Núcleo Madrid da MYVTMI)
Biu Ji
(By Master Marcelo Navarro. Leader of the Moy Ma Si Lou Family and the head of MYVT Madrid School)

Biu Ji is the name of the third Kuen Po of Ving Tsun System. It is composed of 3 parts.
It is considered as the most relevant Domain in Ving Tsun since, it not only ends the Fundamental trilogy, which involves the Siu Nim Tau and Cham Kiu domains , but also prepares the practitioner for learning the next trilogy composed of Mui Fa Jong, Luk Dim Bun Gwaan and Baat Jaam Do.
Thus, Biu Ji builds the past and prepares for the future.

The symbolic combat devices wich are part of Biu Ji prioritize your hands to return the centerline
at different angles and positions, practicing the recovery of balance and security in the midst of a fast timming and stirring.

(Si Fu e Si Sok Navarro são grande amigos.)
(Si Fu and Si Sok Navarro are great friends)

Grand Master Moy Yat spoke Biu Ji as a Bussola, which on shaking should quickly return and point north again.
This is extremely useful metaphor to emphasize the ability to return to self confidence after a unexpected loss.
The recovery of the center in Biu Ji is as important as the occupation that prioritizes in Siu Nim Tau or the ability to keep the center that develops in Cham Kiu.

The big challenge is how to turn a disadvantage into a new opportunity. In this context, where multiple matches are locked simultaneously to accept the error and loss to give way to what The situation offers us again.
In the current world we live in, the resilience (which is the ability to easily recover or adapt for loss
and changes); is perhaps the most desired and demanded competence.

Biu Ji is the notion expressed by learning Ving Tsun System that can help the student develop
more capacity personal
resilience.

According to Si Gung, who did a seminar this month in Rio de Janeiro at the MYVT Barra School (photo above)  this month in Rio, a process that is not based on "Saam Faat" (心法), is not effective. Grand Master Moy Yat translated to the West the idea of "Saam Faat" as "Kung Fu Life".

UMA FOTO PARA SEMPRE
A photo forever

When I was younger I loved a show called "Saved By The Bell" (1989 to 1993, pictured above)  The opening song is unforgettable! And finally they met years later after the end of the series!
For me it was pretty nifty review all those actors that marked my childhood!
Therefore, I believe that for all that persons who are in the photo below, was also very significative ,when the formers members joined in which Si Fu's career began.

.
Most practitioners begin  the Ving Tsun seeking the techinique. Grand Master Moy Yat (photo above) always recommended to every one of his descendants to spend more time with his Si Fu and so increasingly develop their Kung Fu. This ability to dedicate some time to living together can be called "Kung Fu Life" (the Sam Faat 心法), which is quite useful. Thus, in the future when an opportunity to help develop the art arises, the person will be able to do it

Therefore, for Si Sok: André, Ursula, Cledimilson, Ines, Theodoro, Felipe Soares, Felipe Seabra, Carlos Reis and Diego who are in the photo above. By being in Rio, and their Si Fu be based in Sao Paulo, his
Si Hing Julio Camacho, my Si Fu, represented him. Including in the provision of "Kung Fu Life".
Grand Master Moy Yat once said: "... Moy Yat Ving Tsun is not to fight. That's not to say it can not be used in a fight. Contrary to what many think, the best fighter is not the one who has the best skill, but one that has best behavior and manners. My kung fu is there to improve your life ... "

This idea is exemplified  above drawned  by Si Gung Leo Imamura himself, which is now displayed at MYVT Meier School, and that shows how the "Kuen Sut 拳術  (which we interpret as the technical part in this case) is more evident than Sam Faat 心法 (Kung Fu Life) and progressively this Sam Faat 心法 gains more and more space until only him. After all, will be over someday, but the "Kung Fu Life" is forever.

Each of these people in the photo, had experienced with Si Fu and Si Gung in different ways, and perhaps because of this, could provide the same for those who came later like me.

THE NEW MASTER OF MOY YAT VING TSUN (O NOVO MESTRE DA MOY YAT VING TSUN!)

(With my parents at my graduation´s night)

When you achieve something in your life, perhaps the first people to whom you assign your victory are your parents. Even if they remain not vibrating at your side, they may have provided you with the conditions, even if its just your own existence, so you got there.
But in many aspects of life, who knows most of it. Your parents or your guardians whoever they are, can not accompany you on your journey at all times. Your friends will have to be made by you, your first girlfriend will have to be conquered by you, your school grades have to be conquered by you. Your firsthang out to a place you've never been, and your safe return to your home, will have to be conquered by you too.
All these actions, gathered the help of people you will finding the way. Some walk for less time on your side, others longer. Some others will be always by your side even with higher and lower intensity. But one thing is certain: Since your parents until that guy that gave you some tip in some exam in middle school, and the teacher almost caught, but helped you to pass. All these people had a stake in your achievements.

Therefore, in July 2008, when I graduated in Biology, I remembered a lot of people sitting there on that stage. Saying that I remembered from my parents, grandparents and Si Fu and Si Gung is not necessary. But what really made me stop and think, were all the people who contributed to that mark, and I never knew ...

TITULAÇÃO DE MESTRE QUALIFICADO DE DIEGO GUADELUPE
(QUALIFIED MASTER CEREMONY OF DIEGO GUADELUPE)

The elements of Ancestral table arrived on Saturday morning at the MYVT Meier School brought by Rodrigo Moreira from his home, where they were saved because of our reform in the Si Baak Nataniel, Si Sok Rodrigo Giarola and many other important figures of our clan, came to Rio or were preparing to do so in order to honor this ceremony.
Pedro Ivo, disciple of Si Fu Julio Camacho like me, called me early , because he was worried about not getting in touch with our Si Dai (youngest Kung Fu brother)Luan Scliar, who was suppose to lend his amplifier. In the end, everything went well, and despite not having gone, Luan made sure that the amplifier would be there.

While driving the way to the hotel where it would be held that important ceremony . I remembered that for the first time I would be responsible for the official photos of the event. A record that could not be replicated for a second chance. I must confess I was worried, but I remembered that moment, the countless calls made by Si Sok Jones Bauman (pictured left) to me, which he was not sure he could be present, so he gave me numerous tips and instructions on how to take good photos, since he is the official photographer. Not happy, he mobilized the member of Moy Lin Mah Family, the To Dai (student *)of Si Fu Ursula Lima, Rodolpho Alcantra, meet him in Copacabana moments before the event and get his professional camera already regulated, which allowed me to take pictures with stratospheric quality.

While I mounted the ancestral table with the elements of the MYVT MEier School, Si Gung proposed a test or simulation for the Ceremony at that time, decided to make Si Baak Nataniel Rosa, director of the MYVT Brasilia School, the Master of Ceremonies (photo right.) . Thiago Silva, who arrived a little later, set up all his computer equipment and with Si Baak Natan and Si Gung passed and repassed each slide, while the text was read, in order to ensure that all would be well.

(Si Gung pays attention to each slide while Thiago Silva work on it in his note)

At the back of the room, my Si Fu read some information of the text, sometimes with Si Baak Nataniel . Si Sok Celso and Si Sok Ursula, two other Masters who were present helped rated in everything else that was needed.
(Si Fu reading the text with Si Baak Nataniel)

(Si Sok Ursula and Si Sok Celso Grande were also there for support)

By the way, while preparations were made for the ceremony start, some guests were arriving. Among them, members of Kung Fu Family who were also responsible for helping in some specific issue as my own brother Kung Fu, Marcelo Ormond who arrived with his wife Rosana with his movie camera equipment and an extra camera.
Si Gung then asked Si Sok Rodrigo Giarola: "You know everything that is written in Jiu paai?". Si Gung asked Si Sok Rodrigo Giarola to explain during the ceremony a bit more about Jiu paai that he had done for days to be delivered that night to Mastership.

With the help of our expert in Cantonese, Si Sok Leonardo Mordente by phone, Si Sok Rodrigo Giarola (photo above) planned what would be said soon.
Important to remember that these two Si Sok, have their journey in Ving Tsun under the direct care of Si Baak Anderson Maia, Qualified Master and Director of the MYVT Belo Horizonte School, in Minas representing Si Gung, and that could not attend but made a point of sending his congratulations and comments on the date the Mastership, to Si Sok Diego.

A Cerimônia :
THE CEREMONY:

The ceremony was ready to begin, While I was preparing the camera of Si Sok Jones after Rodolpho explain to me how to use it. Because of its size, I remembered  Professor Nambara's (photo)camera wore while he and his children Kanoko and Kenta tried to find the "Golden Bird" and I laughed myself .. hehe But soon that nostalgic feeling gave way to view the full site that certainly would be much more filled, if not for the unavoidable commitments of many who would like to be there honoring that moment.

(Si Baak Nataniel opened the ceremony and all his Kung Fu was being placed in front of those people, because all he had rehearsed minutes before under the direct look of Si Gung was being put to the test.)

Si Baak presented each one of the present Masters who were there from the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Masters Council.

Finally, when Si Gung and Si Taai were presented, they went to the ancestor desk (photo) in order to prepare it for each of the Masters could later revere the ancestors.
One by one, each Master went to the table to pay respects to ancestors that allowed the legacy of our lineage came to us.

(The elements wich would be give to Si Sok Diego were on a table behind the ancestor table)

The Daai Si Hing (The older brother of the older brothers) of Moy Jo Lei Ou Family, Si Hing Leonardo Reis(photo) was the one who would take those the elements to Si Taai so she could give them to Si Sok Diego.

(Si Taai Gung Moy Yat poses by the side of his own statue , wich was gave to his disciple Leo Imamura as a symbol of legitimacy)

Si Fu received the bust of Si Taai Gung Moy Yat as a symbol of legitimacy by Si Taai Po Moy Helen (photo) as well as his Si Hing and Si Dai. Si Sok Diego in  this ceremony inaugurates a new moment in which the symbol of legitimacy is a beautiful picture taken by the official photographer of the Clan Moy Yat, Si Hing of my Si Gung, Mr John Tsang "Moy Hop 10".
This photo is a copy from the orginal , and only he is allowed to make copies of this photo. Si Gung brought from U.S. person.

The second token of legitimacy to be delivered, is a Certification wich Si Gung made sure to explain that this certificate may be issued only by the person of his disciple, Si Sok Flavio Caxiano(photo below). Si Gung said that even he and Si Taai cant do it. He also said the consent of his associates, and Moy Yat Clan as a whole, to be always present in these certifications signined by who are direct disciples of Si Taai Gung Moy Yat. As his own son William Moy.
The signatures are made with their own hand, and besides, are present the signatures of Si Gung and Si  Taai, and most important of all: The Si Taai Po Helen Moy, matriarch of the clan herself signed too.
This certification, according Si Gung, only has value as long as the member is bound to Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. Because this certification is institutional.

The third symbol of legitimacy is the Jiu Paai. An art made by Si Sok Rodrigo Giarola (photo below), member of MYVT Belo Horizonte School, who has the permission of Si Gung to do so for the Masters of Moy Yat Sang Clan.

Jiu paai comes a dedication to the Mastership, Si Sok Diego, and the writing "Moy Yat Ving Tsun" is a reproduction of the Calligraphy by Si Taai Gung Moy Yat. According to Si Gung, this tradition got its start when Si Taai Gung decided to deliver 10 Jiu paai made by him to the Masters of his Clan. Si Gung was honored to receive the number 8.

All these are the only symbols that legitimate a  Qualified Master of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence. They only can be made by the members above.

Finally, the Si Sok Diego was invited to speak a few words to those present (photo below). Every effort, not only that day, but well ahead of everyone who helped his to get this far, as his Si Hing Julio Camacho, who took care of him representing his Si Fu (Leo Imamura) from the beginning, and even by Si Sok Diego himself, all this was happening, it culminated in that moment.
Si Sok Diego very touched, thanked the presence of all, highlighted the presence of his Si hing, from the time he entered the family and they were there. Spoke of his future wife Marcela and their desire to have children in a fun way that drew laughter. Thanked his Si Hing who keep supporting him, as Si Fu and Si Sok Ursula. He thanked his mother who was there present, saying that always were "only two of them", and finally thanked Si Gung and Si Taai. Very touched, stop there ...

(A mãe de Si Sok Diego emocionada dá as mãos a também emocionada Si Sok Ines Braconnot)
(Si Sok´s mother very touched holding Si Sok Ines Braconnot´s hand who were very touched too)

Despite the amazing camera I was holding while people was preparinf for the official photo of the ceremony, I was trying to get the perfect angle and light to honor the commitment I took to make the records I realized the beauty photo before it happens. I saw a beautiful moment that would forever frozen.
Ajoelhei no chão, e mirei a câmera.

I thought about how that ceremony had spent flying before my eyes as if it had only lasted 5 minutes.
I knelt on the floor, and I aimed the camera. There were so many people that the lens could barely understand in all its breadth. I felt my back sweat underneath Tong Jong and decided to take off the blazer that I was wearing. Again, I knelt down and tried not to move anything but my one finger that hit the  photo button. I breathed slowly for the photo not move, and knew at that moment that inspired by the Ceremony of Si Sok,I'd try harder to appreciate more from there my journey so that when my time came, I did not feel it went fast. More importantly, I wished internally that I could become smarter enough to make it endure as a landmark, and not die as a climax, as my graduation course in Biology.

(In 2014 was different. This time, Si Fu was there to hug the new Master Diego Guadelupe)

Apertei o botão e a máquina disparou a foto. Pronto!

I pressed the button and the machine shot the photo. Ready! Was born the official photo of the ceremony of the new Qualified Master of Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence Diego Guadelupe for posterity.
My job that night had just finished, but his was just starting...

MUSIC ABOUT VING TSUN ( MUSICA SOBRE VING TSUN)

"Moy" (梅) is a Chinese family name, like "Smith". "Moy" (梅) means "plum". So when we formed a rock band consisting of: Si Sok Felipe Soares on drums, Fabio Figueiredo on guitar, Si Sok Carlos Reis on guitar, Carlos Antunes in another guitar, and I with pandeirola and vocals. We only rehearsed after midnight (the only time everyone could) we named our band as "dawn plums" [photo above]
A very important person in this organization, but did not play in the band,  was also my Kung Fu brother Thiago Silva, who offered the home of his mother-in-law to Carlos Antunes could sleep,  he lived too far away from us.
(O público presente no aniversário aplaude!)
(The people at the birthday party was very excited!)

”  Rs...  Que saudades!
Confira abaixo um trecho deste momento memorável! Rs

Our first and only show was at the anniversary of Si Fu in 2006. Nobody knew exactly what to expect. We did a setlist of songs from when Si Fu was a teenager, added to Ana Carolina,a brazilian singer he used to like a lot.
Of all the songs sung, surely the one was more in everyone's heart was "Everebody was Kung Fu fighting". Whenever I sang the eponymous chorus, Si Sok Carlos Reis and Carlos Antunes chanted "HU! "And the second time shouting" Ha! " lol ... Man I miss those days a lot!
Check out an excerpt of this memorable moment! lol

MÚSICA SOBRE YIM VING TSUN INSPIRADA EM FILME DE '94
(A MUSIC ABOUT YIM VING TSUN INSPIRED IN MOVIE FROM '94)

“O Tigre e o Dragão” e “Matrix”, lançou um filme estrelando Michelle Yeoh (“Police Story 3”, “O Tigre e o Dragão” e “007- O amanhã nunca morre”), chamado “Wing Chun”.

Yuen Woo Ping in 1994 [photo], son of the eternal Simon Yuen [photo 2] and a genius formed by the Peking Opera, which later cast Jackie Chan to stardom under his direction, and was the sunt director for classics like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Matrix, "starring Michelle Yeoh (" Police Story 3 "," Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon "and" 007 - tomorrow never Dies "), directed a movie called "Wing Chun".
The movie tried to tell the story of the person who is attributed the foundation of the Ving Tsun System: Yim Ving Tsun (or Yim Wing Chun) played in the film by Michelle Yeoh herslef.
The film shows a Yim Ving Tsun masculinized which is a great martial artist but in day-to-day is careless with herself. She becomes a great Master when She finally resolves to become more feminine, and defeat the evil thug who wanted to marry her by strength.

Although the plot is interesting, the movie itself is very very bad!! I believe It's one of the main representatives of the worst that the industry of Hong Kong film produced in the '90s. A sort of "Wu Xia" with special effects that border on the ridiculous and embarrassing scenes make up this movie.

Apesar de tudo , filme inspira música:
(Even being a very bad movie. It inspires a music) :

Regardless of all the bad momentsl, this film inspired a band called "Lunachicks" [photo], to launch a song called "Everybdy's gonna Wing Chun Tonite".
Lunachicks is a punk rock band formed only by women. The band was formed in 1987 and is on hiatus since 2000.Its music is described as "a frenzied mix of punk, metal, pop and rock." The band has influences from Ramones, Kiss, and the MC5.
The song talks about Yim Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) in a completely nonsensical way. But in any case, is worth checking out the music in the video below, exclusive of Blog do Pereira with subtitles:
