NEW LEGENDS OF KUNG FU MASTERS: A NEW MASTER IS COMING

" Si Sok " is a term in Cantonese we take as " younger Kung Fu uncle" I know it's a funny translation , but it turns out that " Sok " relates to paternal youngest uncle, since the Chinese language follows the Confucian logic of properly allocate each parent in a particular place . And that " Si " in front of some other ideograms that means some degree of kinship, in Mo Lam is used in this way , you understand that " Si Sok " is a " younger kung fu uncle " only to the martial circle .
If the " Fu " of "Si  Fu " means " Father " . And the " Ji " of " Dai Ji " means " child " , and by extension , " Son " . " Si Sok " is the " youngest Kung Fu brother" ( Dai Si ) of your Si Fu . Ie , your " Younger Kung Fu uncle ."
Well, forget everything I said above ! This all relates to Western way of modeling in order to understand everything . Because no matter what you translate this type of term , the translation will be infinitely poorer than the feeling involved when it is simply used by someone when it is his native language.
I'm not native in Cantonese dialect , but with years of Kung Fu , I could gradually take on greater significance than the translation includes this term , since I have many people I call " Si Sok " in our great Moy Yat Sang Clan .
At first, you're trying to remember how to use the term at the right time , then it comes naturally , and call the person directly by name becomes weird. Because the term is loaded with feeling.
Among many Si Sok ( which term has no plural or even gender ) , I have a Si Sok called Diego Guadelupe .
The first memory of him is from we were doing a " Siu Nim Tau " ( first form of the system ) during a weekday afternoon , with the Si Sok Felipe and Fernanda , and Si Hing Mauro at the former MYVT  Jacarepagua School in Rio . We combined , doing it for an hour , but he could not stand because his knee hurt .
With time , we became friends . And I remember that day well : Si Fu asked us to go search for Murilo that was lost in Barra da Tijuca beach , when we conducted a practice outdoors. We walked the boardwalk , and for some reason Si Sok Diego started telling me about his passion for the character, " Conan the Barbarian " . He said he watched every day the 1982 movie, and he had  read every issue of " Savage Sword of Conan " . He told it with such passion , that I ended up being infected , and today , I am a big fan of Conan . Maybe not as much as him, but I know enough about the time that " ... The ocean drank Atlantis ... "
That day , I found another special thing about Si Sok Diego , which can be defined in one word: loyalty .
I will not lie , between us , there have been a lot of animosity . And so often he might get annoyed at you and you with him , but one thing he never did : Speaking bad of his Si Fu .
My own Si Fu once said : " Pereira , you also may have thought bad about me once . " He said jokingly , but in Kung Fu world , the relashionship is intense  , so sometimes causes this . Therefore Si Fu always spoke of the importance of not taking it personally .
I've never been inside the head of Si Sok Diego , but in all these years , he always spoke good of his Si Fu , my Si Gung Leo Imamura , with great pride , respect and affection . If he ever questioned in silence , so I'll never know , but his willingness to approach him , was always evident and even inspiring to me .

Finally, I would like to say,  we used to nott understand each other, because I wanted to get over him technically  . But when I found myself , about the age that we had and how much it made no sense at all , I changed .
So once I realized I could not mobilize two Kung Fu brothers properly in Biu Ji Domain . With this limitation in mind , and knowing the technical potential of  Si Sok Diego, I asked him for help and spent a pleasant evening together practicing until about 21h the content of this domain trough different ways to help these two Si Dai .
That day , I remembered again the word " Loyalty " about him , because it did not matter much to me If I get those hours of techniques  , as I'm sure that for him , it was felt that the orientation did something stupid , does not was so important . Because I believe that for both, it was a great lesson about when we "open our guard" when " We believe in each other," something beyond ourselves , we can learn much . Be with someone as different from you as we have always been , be with someone you 've butted heads several times, as has happened to us , or to someone you consider a friend, and realized his ability , as is our case .
So , I am immensely happy to know that the "Age of high adventures " as the announcer says in the opening of " Conan the Barbarian " (1982 ) , is gaining a new form for my Si Sok and friend, who will be entitled Qualified Master next June . It's like when Conan became King of Aquilonia . Now the responsibilities are much more than when he was just the wandering warrior . And because his unwavering loyalty as the Giant of Bronze , I'm sure that through much learning he will do so with a lot of heart and passion .
